Why was Mamdani chosen as Democrat nominee for Mayor of New York City?
Because he’s foreign born.
Because he’s Muslim.
Because he’s a Communist.
Because he hates America.
Because he’s an anti-Semite.
Don’t overthink this – he’s a quite ignorant person (though like all such upper class ignoramuses, very certain about everything) who hates everything the United States stands for. And he’s like this simply because he was told to be like this. His entire education was at elite schools – meaning schools for the social elite, not elite as education. He was told from preschool that the USA is inherently racist and evil, that white people are inherently racist and evil, that Christianity is malevolent, that “national liberation movements” are always the good guys. On and on like that – and given his social group, absolutely no one to dissent from the Leftist orthodoxy. He’s probably never had anything like a serious conversation with someone who disagree with him. And he wouldn’t know what to do if it ever happened – he’d just mindlessly retreat to Leftist slogans. The anti-Semitism probably came in late, unless he learned it at home. It was only about the time he was in college that it became Leftist dogma that Israel is an Apartheid State. But however he came by it, he just took it in stride – never thought about it. The Party said so – and everyone he knows agrees.
And who has propelled him forward? Upper class white people. You can see it in the heat maps of the vote in NYC – the poorer the area, the more votes for Cuomo. And I mean by a lot. Black Americans, Latinos, working class people – can’t stand this upper class twit. And he knew who was going to get him a win: those upper class white people. Everything he said as pitched at them…and they eagerly jumped in because of his biography and, of course, because it is a way to Resisting Trump. Nope, not kidding about that – a big reason for their vote was the perception that Mamdani will fight Trump. That Mamdani will be a city mayor – not even a State governor – and will have zero ability to fight Trump doesn’t matter. The people who voted for him don’t even know this…they are as credentialed and ignorant as Mamdani, after all. They’re just sure about it all – after all, MSNBC tells them that Trump is horribly unpopular and is falling apart by the day (not kidding, this is what they’re fed) and that the Leftist Resistance – all that fighting for illegals and Hamas – has been the ticket to beating Trump (who, by the way, wasn’t actually elected – Kamala was not less popular, it was just that Musk manipulated the vote to give Trump the win).
So, don’t get yourself too wrapped up in one particular aspect here – it doesn’t really matter that he’s Muslim or Communist or foreign born…it is all of it together which tells us our problem. Even 20 years ago this guy would have got 5% of the vote in a vanity run for the Democrat nomination. Yesterday, this clown got 44% of the vote. He’ll run against a worn out Eric Adams running as an Indy and Curtis Sliwa as the totally pointless Republican candidate. And it won’t take much for Mamdani to win – while more than three million people voted in NYC in 2024, this year it’ll probably be around a million…and those upper class people in Manhattan are slavering at the prospect of voting Mamdani. Perhaps Sliwa backing out and endorsing Adams could help, but probably not. NYC is about to go Full Commie…and that is the future the Left wants for us…for America to be ruled by people who hate her with a passion and who will dismantle the whole thing. Waiting in the wings on the national stage are AOC and Crockett…just waiting for their chance to get into senior positions, maybe even the White House one day.
The good news is we elected Trump last year. The defunding of the Left proceeds as does the deportations. America is being rescued as the Democrats go Full Communist…and in Mamdani is the perfect poster boy. The GOP is already lining up to make him the face of the Democrat party. And plenty of other far-Left kooks are looking to primary sitting Democrats (Schumer’s immediate endorsement of Mamdani was an attempt to keep AOC from primarying him). The Democrats will see in Mamdani the path to victory in 2026 and 2028. They will quadruple down on insane Leftism. If we’re even remotely competent (in know, we’re still the GOP!) we’re going to smack these idiots down hard.
Side note: Looking into the nitwit’s biography I found that his grandfather was a member of the Indian Civil Service during the late stages of the British Raj – much like Kamala’s grandfather. Making me wonder how many British Empire-educated people moved into the West after the end of British rule and decided to take revenge on the West via their children and grandchildren?

I have to admit that I am a little shocked Democrats are doubling down on “Democrat Socialism”, which never played out well in Venezuela but hey, they just didn’t do it right lol. Mamdani has even proposed government grocery stores … and people voted for that … wow. At some point very soon, we need to realize that we are not the same people as Democrats … we no longer share any common goal with them.

We are pretty much alienated from each other – to have someone in 2025 vote for a person who says that government run grocery stores are the way to go requires a stunning amount of ignorance. It obviously can’t work. Just a bit of thought and you get:
1. The employees will of necessity be unionized New York City workers: everyone knows such are massively overpaid and are nearly impossible to fire. So the labor costs are going to be enormously higher than private sector and if bad people get in, you won’t be able to easily get rid of them.
2. Supplying the stores will goods will be City contracts. NYC is a Byzantine maze for procurement. Huge number of DEI boxes need to be checked for each supplier and, of course, like all City governments there are kickbacks and favoritism. The chances that NYC will be able to buy goods for the stores at market rates are zero…and very likely they will pay massively above market rates because they’ll be forced to use some suppliers who are expensive but who check off all the right boxes (that Lesbian-run vegetable co-op is going to make bank, though!). Main thing, a lot of major brands will not meet the political requirements for supplying the stores – you are likely to not see Kraft, Johnson & Johnson and other such suppliers in there…but people like their brand names. Lord only knows what third-rate, Chinese made garbage will get on the shelves but at least the person supplying it met the DEI requirements!
3. It is already pretty much legal to steal in NYC – no cash bail means there’s no real worry about getting arrested…its just a couple hours hassle getting booked and then out you go again. The City owned stores will be viewed as a legitimate target for theft by people…its all run by the City, right? Not like anyone owns it…and the City can just replace what’s taken, dig? So, either these stores will be empty shelves and trashed, or everything will have to be locked up tight and the place will resemble a dingy fortress.
I could go on! It is just a dumb idea. I’m no genius and I figured out instantly three reasons why the stores won’t work…and this is even supposing they can still keep stocked and prices artificially below market! In other words, even if they “work” they won’t work…the cost of sustaining them will break NYC’s budget. But NYC Democrats couldn’t figure this out…that even if Mamdani is a nice guy (he’s not) he’s still an idiot who has no idea what he’s doing.

Trump’s lawyers are (finally) going on offense. Yesterday, the Washington Post ran a tantalizing story headlined, “DOJ sues all federal judges in Maryland over deportation order.”
The Chief Judge for the District of Maryland entered a standing order granting automatic deportation stays for any new immigration cases filed in that district. And guess where they’re all being filed now?
Instead of backing down or enduring endless appeals, yesterday, Trump’s DOJ sued the entire Maryland bench for interfering with executive foreign policy authority. Every single judge was named as an individual defendant. I’m not sure that’s ever happened before.
It’s one thing to appeal a ruling. That’s normal. But suing every judge in the district is doctrinal civil war. Beyond legal positioning, it argues that certain judicial practices themselves are unlawful executive interference and beyond the courts’ constitutional authority.

While “Democrats go full Commie” it looks like at least one member of the Supreme Court has found a backbone—and picked up a cudgel on her way to write her opinion.
Justice Comey Barrett brings the heat, in a wholly unexpected takedown of other Justices, and it is a thing of beauty. She slapped down Jackson and rogue judges without mercy. And Sotomayor did not escape her scorn.
Basically, her response to Jackson was to say she didn’t even deserve a response because her contribution was so stupid, and to Sotomayor it was a big loud “DUH!!” pointing out that there was no precedent because no one had ever been dumb enough to make the argument. Before her, that is.
I can imagine Kagan hiding in a corner praying “please don’t look at me please please please”.
When Barrett was nominated to the SC it was widely discussed that she could be instrumental in striking down R-v-W. While she did become a decisive voice in that decision, she has since been all over the map in her rulings. Fortunately, her stance has been more conservative than otherwise. This is certainly one of those cases.
I wonder if the leftist justices even care if they are ridiculed with contempt for their absurd decisions? It’s something that should occur more often than it does.
I don’t know if any opinion has been so brutal, in pointing out the deficiencies of any other justices. These comments had to sting, coming from a peer on the bench and being part of an official ruling. Hopefully Jackson and Sotomayor will remember this and be less confident the next time they decide to mouth off with some patently stupid Leftist rhetoric.
OTOH, I’ll bet there is a little tension in the break room these days, with Barrett getting high fives from the guys and Kagan rethinking her next opinion.
There is really no going back from this. Now the SCOTUS SQUAD knows there might be consequences for being ideological idiots because someone is going to call them out on it and every time one of them starts to vote on something, or write an opinion or dissent, there will be the specter of Comey looking over their shoulders and forming her next comment on their competence and Constitutional knowledge.
“Fortunately, her stance has been more conservative than otherwise.” But she has wavered, and even come up with some vapid and almost silly arguments. Maybe she is realizing that “respect” from the Left ain’t worth a bucket of warm spit so there is no reason to court it or try to “cross the aisle” and is better off just saying what she thinks.

Supreme Court Could Revisit Same-Sex Marriage Ruling in Kim Davis Case, Lawyer Says
On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled 5–4 in Obergefell v. Hodges that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution requires all states to grant licenses for same-sex marriages and recognize same-sex marriages carried out in other states.
At the same time, the court struck down the federal Defense of Marriage Act, a 1996 law that defined marriage as the union between one man and one woman, and allowed states to refuse to accept same-sex marriages recognized under other states’ laws.
Staver said he believes that Obergefell is on shakier ground than Roe v. Wade because “it invented same sex marriage out of thin air with zero precedent and zero basis in the Constitution.”
That’s what the left does, creates “rights” out of thin air. In reality, satan fuels these evil ideas and relies on willing dupes to carry them out. Seems we keep seeing the falsified perceived moral higher ground rear its head without having any clue as to devastating consequences.

Yep – Obergefell was another thin air ruling. Kennedy wanted his legacy ruling and got it. But the concept that existing law, Constitution on down, secured a right to same sex marriage when the very concept doesn’t go back earlier than the 1970’s (and really the 1990’s) is absurd. This is what the Tenth Amendment is for: something new popping up. It was an issue for the States and the people to decide…and almost universally when brought to a vote, it was voted down. It wasn’t wanted; a purely boutique issue affecting only a tiny number of people. The federal courts should never have even heard a case on it – all applications for such should have been dismissed at the trial level on grounds that the matter is not a federal issue.
But the worst thing about the decision is what I said back when made: by saying that two men marrying is the same as a man and a woman marrying, an entire can of worms was opened up. The word “marriage” was rendered meaningless as was all distinctions between the male and female. I had thought, at the time, that the first step on the slippery slope would be plural marriages but it turned out that the Trans issue latched on to it all…if two men are the same thing as a man and a woman, then what is a man or a woman? Off we went!
We’re still faced with the issue because it wasn’t properly decided – there is little appetite to undo Obergefell at the moment but as the Trans issue keeps getting pressed, more and more people are realizing the problem with Obergefell. Whether or not we wish to accommodate same sex couples under law is a prudential judgement…and in matters of health care, insurance and such everyone was coming around to the idea of working out laws to allow same sex couples to de-facto have the benefits of marriage but no matter how you slice it, two men together is not the same thing as a man and a woman together. On the self-evident grounds that men and women are different and play different roles in marriage and reproduction. We’re not interchangeable.
As I have often repeated, not taking credit for the original phrase, whoever controls the narrative controls the people and whoever controls the words controls the narrative. Which explains the Left’s obsession with semantics. From blatantly hijacking words and using them in direct contrast to their meanings (“liberal” and “progressive” for the illiberal and regressive Leftist political model, “gender affirmation” for a process denying gender, etc.) to simply misapplying words like “marriage” to unions other than between a man and a woman, to trying to sanctify and sanitize something by attaching the word “right” to it, the Left depends on the manipulation of the language to manipulate the emotions and even the thoughts of people.
