You know how it went:

“Time to award the Peace Prize!”

“Cool, who we got?”

“Well, we want to award it to Hamas but the bodies ain’t cold yet.”

“Guess we gotta give it to Trump, then. Darn it!”

“Wait! There’s this lady in Venezuela: María Corina Machado! She’s Latina, South American. You know: Trump hates them! We’ll give it to her!”

“Genius!”

(((And then what happened?)))

They just don’t understand – not anything. I pointed out that shortly after Butler, I saw a video of some kids in the middle of nowhere Africa reenacting the event with Trump as the super macho man…Trump has been a social phenomena for a while…he became a popular hero after Butler. You just can’t get around the fact that the man was shot at, got back up while bleeding and shouted, “Fight!, Fight!, FIGHT!”. He’s certified heroic…and people do respond to such men (and women).

Sure, the entire Global Establishment still hates him and despises his supporters…but if you look around the world today, you can see that Establishment is hanging on by the skin of it’s teeth. Nobody likes it. If more populations were armed like Americans, they’d already be engaged in bloody revolutions. Trump stands against them all – and even if you have this or that exception to what he does or how he does it, you know the choice: it is either Trump or the grifting, slave-trafficking, war-mongering, anti-human scum of the Establishment.

It isn’t a difficult choice.

Bari Wiess is fairly liberal lady and she’s being placed in charge of CBS news…and the MSM is having a meltdown. Why? Well, you see, Bari has this bizarre idea that its ok to hold Democrats to account.

And it is bizarre – and I remember reading the articles in the 1980’s where the Left was insisting that there wasn’t a “both sides” to issues and that everyone had to follow the Leftwing Party Line…and the MSM dutifully followed. But now nobody believes it and its shedding audience and news divisions – never money makers – are now bleeding networks dry. So, it is get rid of news, or get someone in there who might be able to draw an audience. Wiess is the MSM’s last chance…if she can merely make it 25% even handed (just one fourth of the time!) it’ll be saved…if not, then its over.

Trump’s peace deal in on track in Gaza – with Hamas being just what it is: savages. There’s video of them rounding up Gazans suspected of disloyalty and summarily executing them. I do hope the deal holds…not because I think it’ll bring real peace, but because there’s no point in continuing this round any longer. Israel had their 90 day window after 10/7 to kill Hamas. They didn’t do it. Whatever deal is made, Hamas will want to eventually attack again. They can’t do otherwise – their whole existence, their justification for power, is killing Jews. Any deal which concedes a right of Jews to live – anywhere – makes Hamas pointless. But, a peace deal now at least stops the current battle…and with the benefit of Hamas being greatly degraded in power (might be ten or fifteen years before they become a serious threat again). And the end of this does allow more Arab States to come to terms with Israel…and that, long term, is the best way to undercut Islamism…if Jews are visiting a resort in Dubai it is hard to justifying firing a rocket from Gaza.

Team Trump has commenced the Reductions in Force necessitated by the Democrats shutdown. I’m starting to think that Trump is one of the very few people in DC who understand how American government works. In this case, if the money isn’t appropriated by Congress, then the thing simply doesn’t exist. If there isn’t an appropriation for your job, you don’t have a job. Previously Presidents have pretended to furlough the workers and made sure back pay was in every budget deal…but you can’t really furlough someone…if there isn’t money for them, their position is gone.

Trump is now acting upon this reality. And Democrats don’t quite know what to do about it.

Why does our government have “non essential” workers in the first place? Every federal department could easily shed 10-15% of their employees and not skip a beat. In fact they would probably become more productive.

Trump is, without question, the best POTUS of my lifetime with Reagan being a distant second. No POTUS has ever had Trump’s business acumen, his judgement of character, his negotiation skills, or his global recognition and global respect. I mean his use of tariffs to negotiate peace treaties is sheer genius. He has accomplished in 8 months, what most Presidents couldn’t get done in 8 years, and I am convinced that by the end of this term, our nation and our world will be more prosperous and more unified than ever before.

I have a cousin, retired now from the Forest Service, who did her job so badly they had to hire someone else to do it for her. But she got her whole 30 years in, all the benefits, full pension. I have no doubt there were/are many like her. Her husband echoed her career but in the Bureau of Land Management, and though I never met anyone in HR who could tell me how much of a slacker he was it was pretty obvious when he talked about what he did during the day and being familiar with his energy level and ambition. Being a rancher, in two different Western states, I met plenty of feds from different agencies who would not have lasted six months in the private sector.

In the “It’s About Damned Time!” category

following this week’s pro-Palestine riot (despite news of the peace plan) in Boston Common, Boston police arrested thirteen violent protestors. That much wasn’t national news. But the story also reported that all thirteen were charged with “inciting a riot” — a dusty and controversial 19th-century law originally deployed against violent anarchists. The story’s subheadline found a deeper significance in prosecutors’ willingness to swim against the progressive tide, along with a hidden message to the president: “The charges are an indication that Boston’s mayor and Police Department are telegraphing to President Trump that they’re going to come down hard on civil unrest.”

In recent memory, rioting protestors have always been charged with various low-risk misdemeanors. But Boston’s law against inciting a riot —a 20th-century “promotion of anarchy” statute— is a felony with a maximum prison sentence of three years. It criminalizes organizing or encouraging a riot, rather than the rioting itself. For example, someone could be charged with incitement but not even attend the chaotic scene.

I have pointed out that one of the problems of the late Roman Empire was the collapse of local government…it just started to be not good at it so the Emperors had to essentially take control just to ensure basic services were carried out. It was good in that the cities did get better governed, but bad in that it was only better as long as the Emperors had the ability to make sure it was done right. Long term, it was disastrous. This is what is happening to local government in America in the Blue Cities…the collapse of basic services. It could be that the very Left government of Boston has realized that it is either start being effective at governance or it will be taken out of their hands.

Good to keep in mind that the Constitution requires the federal government to ensure a republican form of government in the several States – and a government which can’t police, can’t maintain services and allows Antifa fanatics to run riot is not a republican form of government. I’d rather that even in the Left areas they just take care of business. As per usual, I don’t care what they believe or what stupid laws (consistent with the Constitution) they pass…but they must ensure public safety…and if they don’t, I’ll see them reduced to Territorial status.

You have mentioned this before and I wonder if this has been tested and to what extent. It is a fascinating concept, basically telling the states to do it right or get out of the way, but I am sure it would result in challenges if attempted.

So what would the federal remedy be? You mention Territorial status–what do you mean by that? Or would it be removing the state officials and replacing them with appointees, like putting the state into receivership?

    What an historic day!!

I can only imagine how happy Rashida Tlaib is …. Oh wait. I guess it’s time for all the Palestinian protestors to start becoming Antifa. Same movement, just different attire.

I had to laugh the other day when one of our trolls tried to draw a moral equivalence between Hunter Biden and Jared Kushner. Kushner and Witkoff were not just the architects of the peace deal, they did it without any help from the usual “experts.” Not quite the same thing as a questionable deal with the Chinese with 10% for “The Big guy.”

Have you seen where Antony Blinken and Biden are trying to take credit for Trump “adopting their Middle East plan” lol

You can’t hate these people enough

As of this writing, “ceasefire” champion Bernie Sanders, who has spread the Gaza “genocide” hoax hundreds of times to his millions of followers, has said absolutely nothing about the Trump deal.

The same goes for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and, no doubt, scores of other Hamas apologists.

It seems awfully curious that the people who have made Gazans a central political cause do not seem at all relieved that there’s at least a temporary cessation of violence.

After all, they have incessantly told us that there is a genocide going on and mass starvation was right on the horizon.

Why aren’t there widespread celebrations across Western cities and college campuses today?

    ………………………..

There was a ceasefire in place on Oct. 7.

Not one Israeli soldier was in Gaza on Oct. 6, 2023.

Before Israel had even begun to retaliate for the massacre, pro-Palestinians were marching against Israel across America.
