The Democrats are out there yapping away about No Kings today – they do this because they’re still dead certain the American people are on their side. Do keep in mind this is a sincere belief…and there’s polling to back it up! No, seriously! Of course, such polling shows Trump minus fourteen on immigration…so, in other words, its a poll of the faculty at Columbia University. But that doesn’t worry our Dems! They have their poll showing that Resistance is working and so if they just keep calling Trump Hitler and keep fighting for illegals, 2026 will be a landslide win for them.
But I think there is a more serious issue for us on our side to discuss: what are we to do with these morons? That is, how can our Republic survive if complete nitwits who believe obvious lies are allowed a say? I’m honestly not sure it can. At least, not as we knew it forty or so years ago. They are just too completely stupid to be fully reformed…someone who’s, say, forty years old and seriously believes that allowing millions of Third World migrants in is not someone who is capable of thought. Because only a moment’s thought would get to the point of “oh, yeah; that’s not good. Even if immigration is good. Even if high numbers of immigration is good – just waving millions through is a really bad idea”. Eventually, I believe, we’re going to have to restrict the franchise and return at least some government power to a body only indirectly elected by the people (you know, the Senate as it is supposed to be).
It will be the only way we can preserve the rule of law, after all. The thing about having a rule of law is that you need those in charge of making and enforcing law to know what a law is, and the various circumstances which those charged with enforcing law are faced with. It isn’t a game. Sure, there is a need for a theory of law – for those who are philosophers of law. Who try to draw out of law its underlying meaning and help us determine what is likely a good or bad law. But we also need very practical people who will ensure that the laws are both enforced but also not a suicide pact. You have people right now who are saying zapping drug boats on the high seas is illegal…and it is lawyers saying it. Which means – unless they’re just flat out lying – none of them have the least clue about how law works.
Guys, we read them their rights when we’ve picked them up on suspicion of bank robbery…we kill them when they’re heading towards our shores with a load of poison. Both are proper operations of law and in both cases all required respect for human rights have been observed. You don’t get to try to import poison – or slaves – into America and then expect us to jump through hoops before we can do anything to you. No: if we catch you in international waters, we treat you like a pirate (but much more efficiently than taking the time to hang you from a yardarm). A man arrested for bank robbery can waive his fifth amendment rights and confess freely to his crimes…a man driving a drug-laden boat in international waters has by the action waived all of his rights. That is, had he stayed in his own nation’s territorial waters or not taken contraband into international waters then we’d have to largely be hands off…but the combination of contraband + international waters = hellfire missile. Per the rule of law.
And here’s our real problem – there are millions of Americans who think we actually are doing something wrong. And not just in killing drug dealers at sea…in the mere process of detaining a person illegally in the USA, they believe our laws say we can’t do that. That we must only arrest such with a specific warrant listing a definite crime and then give the illegal a full trial – at our expense – before we can deport. Only a drooling idiot would believe that. And would you let a drooling idiot vote? Well, tens of millions of them did so last November.
They also believe there is a “hate speech” exception to the First Amendment, that “shall not be infringed” means you can infringe all the live long day, that abortion is a Constitutional right…on and on and on like that. Complete nonsense. Twaddle…but it is said not just by some low level moron but by people who hold elective and appointive office. People who can have us arrested. And there is the real problem we have – if these dimwits can vote then they may obtain power again and then we’ll find ourselves faced with morons who hate us having the power to jail. Not something I want to do. And it is not something I think our country can survive long term.
Here’s the kicker: restricting the franchise is also the only way we can ensure ourselves against a King. As others have pointed out, Trump is our Gracchi. If this doesn’t work, then we’ll find a Sulla. But make no mistake about it, we’re not actually going to allow ourselves to be lined against a wall by the functional equivalent of the cast of Idiocracy. In the end, the only way to avoid Caesar is to make sure morons can’t guarantee his arrival.
This seems apropos:
And this:
And this:
And the day after:
ROFL – they say 7 million participated…but that looks like an exaggeration by a factor of ten or so. I also loved the video of a protest in NYC where precisely at 1 pm everyone left…which means they were all paid to be there (or, as someone else suggested, they had to go be filmed at a different location to give a sense of size to the event).
The main thing about it is that it could have been 75 million participating and it would have been meaningless unless some significant number of them were Trump voters from last year…and the number of such attending yesterday is as close to zero as you can get in a nation of 340 million people. It was a mere exercise by people who hate Trump reminding everyone that they hate Trump.
no kings: they want a leftist emperor instead.
OT, but important: (compliments of The Flyover)
and for democrats the fraud is one of their main real reasons for wanting to continue it.
Back on Topic.
That’s pretty much all it is.
And cuts right back to my concern about how we survive if these people can vote. We really need to rethink this whole thing – and by “whole thing” I mean the concept of the franchise which has existed since the UK Reform Act of 1832. Don’t get me wrong, Old Sarum did have to go (it was a constituency sending two Members to Parliament which had no permanent residents but 11 voters the last time it existed in a British election). But the basic concept behind the Reform Act – and contemporary American efforts to extend the franchise – was that everyone had a right to have a say in government. That “consent of the governed” bit in our sublime Declaration being a major motivator. But it should be kept in mind that in Jefferson’s world only a small minority could vote…and nobody in 1776 was thinking in terms of universal adult suffrage. Why not? Because they would think it silly…asking, say, a man of no education or property to weigh in on grave matters of State would have been viewed as a waste of time (at best) and nothing but mob rule at worst. The trouble with universal voting is that it means you have to manufacture consent…and this usually means you present the people with a choice between two things the Ruling Class approves of. Only rarely does a Trump come along to buck the system (and we can see how the system reacts to that). But we wouldn’t need a Trump if we didn’t have politicians trying to get the votes of people who are welfare dependents – or illegal immigrants – or functionally illiterate, etc, etc etc.
We’re going to have to restrict it. Literacy. Patriotism. At least some wealth stake in society. These will have to be determining factors in who gets to pass judgement on how we rule ourselves.

Given all the shit Democrats have piled on Trump over the last 9 years, yeah, I’m cool with it.
Responding to more breathless pearl-clutching from another delicate snowflake?
The Left is apparently reeeeeeeeealllly upset about the video of King Trump dropping globs of sewage (or shit, or something) on the No Kings protestors. Coming from the folks who have made four attempts to assassinate Trump, this is beyond laughable. As Cluster said the other day, you can’t hate these people enough.
I liked that he targeted Little Harry Sisson—it could be said it was recirculated crap Harry had been throwing at Trump for years.
I need to see if I can find the podcast with the black guy who ran clips of interviews of No Kings “protestors”. They were every bit as bright as one might expect.
