Our top immigration judge has advised that immigration judges are not bound by federal court rulings saying the Executive can’t detain illegal immigrants without bond. This assertion has one really strong thing going for it: the law.
Essentially, all these federal cases against immigration enforcement are absurd: they aren’t federal judicial matters. They aren’t dealing with citizens but with foreigners and the presence of foreigners in the USA is, in law, essentially at the discretion of the Executive. This is how Biden and Obama hand-waved millions in – because the Executive has control of it under the powers of the Commander in Chief. The only time a federal court could get involved is if a detained person asserts American citizenship: that is something for a court to decide. But if you’re not a citizen? The Executive can hand wave you out or in. If we were to go to war with China tomorrow, then Trump could simply order every Chinese national detained – regardless of immigration status – and then deported.
There’s no appeal on this. If ordered, done. The whole fracas we’re seeing is simply stupid – the people getting violent about it are ignorant fools when not wicked.
This also shows that under the radar, Trump is getting a lot done – and a lot done which will have massive long term effects on national policy of all sorts. It is my view that Trump at least sometimes picks an issue to make the Left go ballistic over so that while they are having their hissy fit over it, he can busily do other things.
I don’t think Democrats have any idea of the wind they are sowing. We fought them in 1861-65 when they tried to nullify federal law after losing an election fair and square – and after that, we let them up easy. We swiftly allowed them to rejoin as full citizens. People who had been Confederate officers and senior elected officials were allowed to exercise power in the United States. It won’t be like that after round two – we’re fed up. There’s a video out there of a couple guys duck hunting by a lake in the Pacific northwest and this shrieking woman just walks up to them, shouting foul language and telling the hunters she hates them and wants them to leave. The guys just laugh it off and to really set the woman off, shoot a duck. This is the sort of lunatic the Left is…and our guys are still quiet and laughing it off. But if we do get pressed to the point where it is fight or flight, it will be fight…and we will win…and our mercy will slumber.
Trump, as others have pointed out, is their last chance – if he succeeds then the Republic goes on serene and happy. If they do manage to stop him, then that only means that our being fair and nice didn’t work. It’ll be time to be something other than fair and nice.
I often point out to liberals on social media that this is the 1860’s all over again and Democrats are simply fighting to protect the new slaves they brought to the country. Democrats need an uneducated, unarmed populace to exact their agenda … and normal Americans are in their way. They tested our compliance with Covid and evidently that didn’t go over well, so they decided to bring a new crop of slaves in. And that’s who Casper and Rocks are defending … the new slave holders.
If they don’t give up, there will be war, and I will be on the front line God willing.
Not sure what to do with Iran but I think we should help the protestors. Can we pull off a Maduro type raid? I definitely don’t want boots on the ground, or a war. I hope this current revolution in Iran doesn’t fade away like the last one.
At least for now I think the United States should be the big brother looming over the bully threatening the kid brother—not doing anything, just sending a message that he could if he wanted to and might decide to step in if he thinks it is called for. The people of Iran need to take back their own country, but we can offer moral support and possibly, if necessary, some materiel and supplies to help out. I know the Special Forces “advisors” in early Viet Nam didn’t work out that well, but we can theoretically learn from that mistake.
I agree – IMO, the worst thing we can do is bull our way into the front of Iranian affairs…that would just let the Mullah regime cast it as “us vs the Americans”. If the Iranians want to be free, they can be – they just have to fight. I’m willing for us to provide some aid – maybe even some arms. And as things reach the end, maybe a last, Maduro-like push. But this is their fate – it is their country, their lives. The Iranians have to do this.
What more do we need? Federal law trumps, so to speak, state or local laws. We have the laws, we have the authority, we have the power to start arresting people starting with governors and moving on down the food chain through AGs, mayors, sheriffs, police chiefs and the mobs themselves.
Officials can and should be arrested individually and perp-walked, as so many conservatives were, and quickly arraigned and charged and sent home after posting bail. Mobs should be arrested in mass arrests, transported to large holding areas and then individually arraigned, charged, and sent home after posting bail. They don’t even need to go to the jail if it’s a big mob: Put them in a temporary holding facility like a warehouse or convention center or something and set up a temporary processing system. Call AWFL # 1, video her questioning to get identification and the process including fingerprinting and mug shots, and book her for opposing by force (if she was in any way violent, touched an officer, etc) the authority of the government as well as for trying to prevent, hinder or delay the execution of (name the laws). And just go down the line like this. By the time they get to the fourth or fifth AWFL the whole “let’s form a mob and fight ICE” thing is going to seem like a very bad idea. As these events are very well documented on video, the only defense would probably be quibbling over the “by force” element of the law, and that can be adjudicated in a trial or a plea bargain.
As my brother once said, it’s not rocket surgery. We have the laws. All we need is the will. But look at the outcome: About half of the country (the law-abiding half) would cheer, especially if this was done quickly and cleanly with clear citations of the applicable laws. Let two cities experience this (because the Left is slow to learn and becomes defiant after just one correction) and see how quickly mobs form in other cities. Let two states watch their officials get marched off to jail and arraigned on federal charges and see how many other officials in other states are eager to stand up and say “I intend to violate those laws, too”.
Mobs should be arrested in mass arrests, transported to large holding areas and then individually arraigned, charged, and sent home after posting bail. They don’t even need to go to the jail if it’s a big mob:
I don’t have a problem with people who physically assault law enforcement officers being prosecuted, although I’d make an exception for someone holding a flag or a sign that inadvertently touches an LEO because of actions/movement of the mob.
I’ve been trying to get a feel for how many J6 defendants served jail time for a misdemeanor charge. 5 years later it’s almost impossible to get accurate numbers. It’s almost as though the agenda media just makes things up (I know, I was shocked too). For example, I did a search for “how many non-violent J6 defendants served jail time?
Search Assist (PBS/Wikipedia – no date stamp) says: “Over 1,000 individuals charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot have been sentenced, with many receiving jail time, but specific numbers for non-violent defendants are not detailed.”
ABC News on 1/24/24 said: “Jan 5, 2024, 3 years later, Jan. 6 by the numbers: More than 1,200 charged, more than 460 imprisoned for role in Capitol attack Prosecutors have secured more than 718 guilty pleas in Jan. 6 cases.
The website Jan-6.com released the following on 1/6/25:
DOJ Releases Updated Statistics on Charges, Guilty Pleas, Convictions & Sentencing in the January 6th Investigation
The January 6th attack saw over 140 police officers assaulted, including more than 80 from the U.S. Capitol Police and over 60 from Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department. Rioters caused extensive damage to the Capitol, destroyed property, and stole government items. Current estimates place the financial losses from the siege at over $2.8 million.
A Snapshot of Legal Proceedings
In the four years since the attack, the Department of Justice has made significant progress in holding perpetrators accountable. To date:
The FBI continues to seek assistance in locating fugitives and identifying suspects from that day. (in fact, the FBI continued to spend valuable resources searching for people to prosecute up until Biden left office.)
Then I searched for “how many J6 defendants served jail time for misdemeanors?”
Search Assist (Go.com/PBS – no date stamp) says: “Over 700 individuals charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol attack have received sentences that include jail time, but specific numbers for those serving time solely for misdemeanors are not detailed in the available data. Many of those sentenced for lesser offenses may have received probation or home detention instead of jail time.”
On 1/26/25 (the week after Trump was inaugurated) CNN reported the following:
Of the nearly 1,600 people who were federally charged, at least 1,270 were convicted, (1,000+ pleaded guilty, and 260+ were found guilty at trial); nearly 300 cases were still pending trial; of those who pleaded guilty, 680 were misdemeanor cases, and of those who were convicted at trial at least 194 were felony cases. About 58% of all convictions were for misdemeanors and about 42% were felonies.
I could go on all day, but I think you get the point. If you do those two searches, you will find lots of different numbers, but not as many different analyses of the event. Almost all of the sites are left-wing, and, to this day, they just can’t let it go.
(1) Impeding law enforcement on January 6 was a felony. Today, in Minneapolis, not so much.
(2) “Weapons used during the riot included firearms, chemical sprays, tasers, knives” yet this carefully avoids claiming that those charged were people who used these weapons. That passive voice (“used”) implies a lot without specifics. A very big deal was made, for example, about the presence of all sorts of weapons in a vehicle parked some distance from the disturbance but owned by one of the Trump supporters. I wonder if those weapons are included in this list, as at the time I don’t remember claims of attacks involving any of these. I don’t remember any references to “firearms” being at the rally/riot, or claims of officers being tased or stabbed.
I think the confusion is purposeful, because the more muddled the data are and the more conflicting the accounts are the harder it is to sort it all out. One thing I think is designed to be hidden in the clutter is the number of infiltrators and agitators, as well as their actions and contributions to the violence. Remember, when you see clutter and chaos there is usually a Leftist agenda behind it.
I notice that on January 6, 2025, when the Biden administration was still in charge, the event was characterized as an “attack” and a “siege”. This editorializing of what is presented as objective fact is typical and telling.
“I don’t have a problem with people who physically assault law enforcement officers being prosecuted”
I am not just talking about people who physically assault law enforcement officers. I am talking about every single person impeding the ability of law enforcement officers to execute the law.
Let the quibbling about what constitutes “by force” be legally adjudicated. I consider blocking a street to impede traffic as an exertion of force, ditto for human chains blocking access, etc. It doesn’t have to be physical contact. If the miscreants want to turn it into a Battle Of The Dictionaries, let them–they’re paying the legal bills. (Speaking of which, is there a legal restriction on using solicited funds to pay for criminal defense?)
Is it something in the water? How stupid do you have to be to think this even makes sense?
The New Jersey Legislature has passed a bill that prohibits ICE from detaining individuals solely based on their immigration status.
Maybe someone should go to New Jersey with a giant whiteboard and draw some really big dots, and then connect them with colored arrows , because they are not doing a very good job of understanding things on their own.
ICE stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Let’s simplify it for the government of the Garden State and take out some syllables, making it simply IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT.
That is, the job of people working in the agency of IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT is to enforce violations of immigration law. That is, like, baked into the job description. And that’s really all they are hired to do. Enforce immigration law violations—-or, to put it in New Jersey legalese, detain people based on their immigration status (being in the United States illegally).
I guess it’s kind of cute, in a weird creepy way, to see these silly Leftists strutting around pretending that they have authority that preempts that of the federal government. It’s kind of like Frey stomping his little hooves and squeaking orders to a huge government agency to “get out of my city”! (“The Mouse That Roared”?)
I got hooked on an excellent book series featuring a Minneapolis police officer, Lucas Davenport, following him through at least a dozen books through his career arc from the Minneapolis Police Department to a state-wide criminal investigative agency. Great books, good enough to go back and start re-reading them.
And it is clear to me that the author, John Sanford, could not write these books today. There is no way anyone could write a book, much less a series, about Minneapolis in general and its police department in particular. Davenport’s Minneapolis, and MPD, are just normal run-of-the mill petty bureaucracies with the normal levels of incompetence and corruption. I don’t think even a skilled author like Sanford could create a charismatic and appealing character in the setting of today’s Minneapolis sewer.
Not only is the department hemorrhaging personnel due to severe morale problems, now the mayor is publicly saying: “We’re in a position right now where we have residents that are asking the very limited number of police officers to fight ICE agents on the street, to stand by their neighbors.”
(Which “neighbors”? That is, stand by fellow citizen criminals who are actively violating various federal laws, or do they consider the illegal aliens they are illegally shielding to be “neighbors”? I believe trying to recruit people to join in an illegal proceeding is also a crime, a conspiracy to break the law coupled with incitement of others to do the same.)
OK, so maybe some “residents” are so insane they really ARE asking police officers to “fight ICE agents on the streets”–given the proven intelligence of Minneapolis residents who think defying federal law and attacking law enforcement officers is virtuous and noble, even this lowering of that standard is not really a surprise. They are happily siding with criminals and becoming criminals themselves by violating various federal laws, so it is not really a surprise to hear that they actually think law enforcement officers will battle other law enforcement officers in the streets, to “stand by their neighbors”. A mob mentality tends to assume others share it. It’s a level of disconnect with reality that boggles the mind–“We have become criminals in our defense of other criminals and defiance of the law and now we want law enforcement officers who have sworn to fight crime to violate their oaths and federal laws to go into the streets to not only become criminals themselves but to do battle with brother law enforcement officers”. Fine. OK. They are brain-dead Leftists. There is no level of stupidity in this demographic that can surprise any more.
But this is a statement FROM THE MAYOR, implying at least tacit approval of this insanity.
Lucas Davenport, in today’s Minneapolis, would just move to another state to become a cop, or join ICE. (Funny note: Evidently some of the Minneapolis cops jumping ship are looking at moving over to ICE.)
This is just too hilarious not to post the entire thing: (compliments of Coffee & Covid)
The catfish really does look like Walz.
We just don’t have enough empathy for the suffering of Liberals as we destroy the things that matter most to them. Next, we’ll be going after voter fraud, and that will be the end of democracy.
LOL, I like the characterize it as we are just freeing Democrat slaves again.
I don’t think the drug dealers, gang bangers, human traffickers, etc function as slaves nearly as much as they are effective disrupters of society.
People who are scared tend to gravitate toward leaders/governments they feel will make them feel safer, so the creation of chaos and lawlessness is a herding mechanism designed to steer the population away from the concept of individualism toward a collective mentality, like the way prey animals tend to huddle in herds when threatened. And that is the way the Left sees us–as herd animals, livestock to be harvested for votes who will then vote for whoever convinces them he is not really a wolf but will protect us from the wolves. But this requires wolves. (Imaginary bogey-men like Trump, the biggest baddest scariest Hitleresque demon ever seen who is a threat to THE VERY EXISTENCE OF AMERICA AND DEMOCRACY, so powerful and dangerous and terrifying that literally anything done in the name of conquering him is fine. ANYTHING) are handy scapegoats but this calls for constant reinforcement of the imagined threat. This works for a while on the timid and feeble-minded, as long as they can be distracted from declining inflation, improving economy, lack of wars, improved quality of life and other real-world results of Trump as president.
So when people start to see bigger paychecks and smaller living expenses, more job opportunities as manufacturing returns to the U.S., experience the ability to choose their health and insurance and pay for it, are freed from participating in the delusions of a few disrupted minds, and in general start living like 21st Century Americans instead of the 20th Century captive population of the USSR, the Left needs all the chaos and conflict it can create, and needs those real wolves.
Killers, rapists, wife beaters, child abusers, sex slavers, human traffickers—the kinds of people who are genuinely scary, not invented bogey-men—make people start to worry about being murdered or raped or robbed. That’s when they huddle together and beg for someone to come save them—just like they did when that big old bogey-man Covid came along. No tyranny was too great when they were quivering in fear and afraid to even go to the store.
The approach of just getting rid of the wolves is counterproductive to the Leftist strategy so must be stopped. And so, the Democrat Party, after its full-throated embrace of Nazi-era antisemitism and dedication to the elimination of Jews, is now shifting its passion to protecting and defending criminals and, by extension, drug cartels.
Exactly, America is the only country in the world built on individualism rather than tribal agendas. Let’s keep it that way.
Kick this woman out of Congress and out of the country
“Two companies tied to Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, showed extraordinary gains in recent years.
A venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital, was listed in 2023 as being worth between $1 and $1,000.
Just one year later, Omar’s disclosure placed its value between $5 million and $25 million.”

He’s moving on all fronts.
I love Homan’s approach. It’s gonna be fun to watch karma with these idiots, most who think their faces and actions are largely anonymous.
Tom Homan Announces Database to Expose Anti-ICE Protesters Arrested for Interference
From ‘BizPacReview’:
“We’re going to create a database. Those people that are arrested for interfering, impeding, and assualt, we’re going to make them famous and put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, their neighborhoods, and their schools know who these people are… a lot of these people who say they are taking time off work, I bet a lot of them are calling in sick. I bet you a lot of their employers don’t know what they are doing. But we’re going to make sure everybody knows who they are.”
Countdown to squeals about “doxxing” from the same people who make it necessary for ICE agents to wear masks so they can’t be identified and put their families at risk from having pro-criminal radicals putting their personal information online.
But I’d rather the database be used to arrest and charge these people for the crimes they are committing.
I think we are slowly learning (or is that “learing”) that much of our $36 trillion national debt, is the result of fraud by foreigners and Democrats.
BTW, the precept that “a strong society is primarily built from the bottom up, through personal responsibility and voluntary effort, rather than through top-down government control.” is core to MAGA, and the entire Left is in open warfare against MAGA.
That pretty much sums up the Left—everything must be addressed through top-down government control, from how we can contract for health care expenses to how we flush our toilets to what kinds of light bulbs we can use. (The only time the Left hates federal control is when it needs mob rule to override federal laws that interfere with its creating-societal-instability platform.)_
That’s called the “warm embrace of collectivism”.
Which every uneducated person, and every greedy career politician wants, hence the dumbing down of our population and the influx of millions of uneducated laborers.
