Do We Have Any Guts?

The word at this moment is that the DOJ is going to charge Don Lemon and the rest of the Commies who invaded a Minnesota church yesterday under the Klan Act. The teeth of it:

…That any person who, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage of any State, shall subject, or cause to be subjected any person within the jurisdiction of the United States to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution of the United States…

…That in all cases where insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combinations, or conspiracies in any State shall so obstruct or hinder the execution of the laws thereof, and of the United States, as to deprive any portion or class of the people of such State of any of the rights, privileges, or immunities, or protection, named in the Constitution and secured by this act, and the constituted authorities of such State shall either be unable to protect, or shall, from any cause, fail in or refuse protection of the people in such rights, such facts shall be deemed a denial by such State of the equal protection of the laws to which they are entitled under the Constitution of the United States; and in all such cases…it shall be lawful for the President, and it shall be his duty to take such measures, by the employment of the militia or the land and naval forces of the United States, or of either, or by other means, as he may deem necessary for the suppressions of such insurrection, domestic violence, or combinations…

Nutshell: if you do anything – even under the color of law or custom – which denies the rights of an American, you are in violation of the Act and if the local and State government wherein you reside refuse for any reason to secure your rights, then the President may use any means which come to hand to secure your rights, local law notwithstanding. Lemon’s assertion is that he was merely exercising his First Amendment rights to report on the incident…but the videos he’s posted show he had advance knowledge of and participated in the invasion of the Church, thus being part of a combination designed to deny the right of the people to free exercise of religion. Given that the government of Minnesota has done nothing – and has, indeed, encouraged such actions – it is now fully within the power of the President to see to it that the free exercise rights of the people of Minnesota are secured.

But, as they say, there’s more! 18 US Code 247:

Whoever, in any of the circumstances referred to in subsection (b) of this section…intentionally obstructs, by force or threat of force, including by threat of force against religious real property, any person in the enjoyment of that person’s free exercise of religious beliefs, or attempts to do so; shall be punished as provided in subsection (d).

Lemon and co are lucky nobody was physically harmed…but just for walking in there, they each face a year in jail. But the main thing to keep in mind here is that there are a host of laws on the books protecting civil rights, they are race and gender neutral, they have teeth…and they simply haven’t been applied to the Left, ever.

If we have just a small bit of guts, we’ll be able to destroy the Left…and they walked right up and asked us to. Keep in mind: the Klan doesn’t even exist any longer. Nobody will incorporate a Klan organization under the laws of the United States or the several States because doing so just makes you liable in court…so it can be with Antifa and all these Commie terror groups organizing protests and riots around the country.

Obstruct law enforcement. Block a road. Harass a citizen over beliefs. Any and all of these are massive federal law violations. And everyone involved in the organization doing it is completely liable both as to criminal and civil penalties.

I think it’s obvious to everyone that these protests are not lawful. No one has the right to harass, intimidate, incinerate, destroy, or hurl objects. That’s civil disobedience, bordering on incitement to war and they all should be arrested and face the maximum punishment. Why that’s not happening yet, I don’t know, but that is a big difference still between the right and the left. Biden and his DOJ didn’t hesitate to lock up J6’ers and aggressively track them down. We tend to be more patient, more forgiving, but that will be to our own peril if we don’t go after these law breakers.

Years and years ago, I was in golden gloves boxing and one thing I was told and always remembered was that if you knock the guy down, and he gets back up, you’re in a bigger fight. I boxed enough to know that that is true. We can not let the Democrats up off the mat, or else the fight will only get bigger and more dangerous.

    And how about this?

18 USC Ch. 115: TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES

From Title 18—CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE

    §2383. Rebellion or insurrection

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

Clearly the mobs are engaging in rebellion against the authority of the United States as well as the federal laws regarding immigration.

And clearly government officials are providing aid and comfort to these criminal mobs and assisting in these rebellions. I don’t see how anyone participating in these “protests” can deny that this is what they are doing. There is literally no other way to explain or describe what they are doing. They are challenging the legitimacy not just of the laws regarding the apprehension and detainment of illegal aliens, they are challenging the underlying immigration law as well.

So arrest them, arrest all officials who assist them in any way (including refusing to step in and control violence against ICE officers) and let them sacrifice their official status (“shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.“) and arrest everyone in a mob that is doing more than verbally expressing personal angst of some sort (which is a 1st Amendment right). They can scream and howl some version of “this makes me sad” or even “people who break the law are my neighbors and people who enforce it are big poopy-heads” but once they try to interfere they are engaging in rebellion against the authority of the United States and its laws thereof.

On top of this are the Civil Rights violations. Lots of federal weight here, but 18 USC Ch. 115 doesn’t depend on Civil Rights legislation.

And BTW, in law the word “shall” is an imperative. It means “must”. Not “can” or “might” but locked-in “has to”. ” shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both“. And then there is that important word “and”. It also has weight in legal language. It means “in addition to”. (Yes, I know the trolls bleat and squeal in indignation when I talk about definitions, but they matter when we move out of the hysteria bubble into the real world.) Which takes us to this: “and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

So anyone convicted of rebelling against the authority of the United States or its laws MUST be fined, possibly also imprisoned (“or both”) and in addition can no longer hold “any office under the United States”. I’m not sure how even the slimiest of the weasel judges of the Left could tap dance around this,

Yep – this is crucial in the Klan Act (Actually the Enforcement Act of 1871 – but it was enacted in response to Klan activity, so Klan Act):

it shall be lawful for the President, and it shall be his duty to take such measures (emphasis added).

This was to prevent a weak-willed President – or one controlled by the bad guys – from refusing to act. It isn’t a matter of choice – the President shall ensure our rights are secured. This is a bit of common sense – all Executive power being vested in the President and the President being required to see to it that the laws are faithfully enforced.

Well, she can posture all she wants, and she can finally take her Inner Dictator out of the closet and show everyone just how ugly it is, but I doubt that these executive orders will stand because they simply far exceed the scope of executive powers in any state, including Virginia.

Taxes are not set by the governor so many of her fantasies of absolute power will remain as such. Nor are sentencing rules, where federal officers can arrest people violating federal laws, or changes to election laws, and she if she tries to actually apply her gun laws she will just be dragging Virginia into more court battles, these centered on the 2nd Amendment.

It’s just more Leftist posturing, playing to the gullibles and trying to keep them pumped in the illusion of victory as she makes the kind of empty promises that convince them to continue wearing their tribal colors.

I’m waiting for her to declare Virginia a sanctuary state and openly defy the authority of ICE instead of just saying VA won’t cooperate with them, so she can be the first governor perp-walked to jail and charged under 18 USC Ch. 115 or U.S. Code §2383 for rebelling against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof.

And going back to the concept of “protestors” rebelling against the authority of the United States, what are they telling us when they show up at their “protests” masked and carrying guns?

Spook can add to this, celebrating Indiana’s win over Miami. This article by Stephen Kruiser echoes the thoughts of most Americans, and the howling whining hate brigade frantically trying to find something to bleat about is reduced to infantile personal attacks on Trump and more than half of the country.

The fact that Trump got through the legal hell that Joe Biden’s DOJ goon squad subjected him to for four years with any positivity in him is miraculous. If ever anyone deserved to sour on the United States of America, it’s Donald Trump. Instead of letting it all get to him, he fought through the harassment so that he could try and put things right again in this country.

It’s pretty much the opposite of a dark vision. President Trump and his administration have weathered a lot of bad — sometimes horrific — things this past year. They’ve responded appropriately without letting any of it throw them off track from all of the good they’re trying to do.

Reality-dwellers who live way from the Coastal Media Bubbles™ notice the positive, as evidenced by the response that Trump got at the College Football Playoff National Championship game last night, which Sarah wrote about. The president gets a lot of receptions like that one whenever he shows up in places where most people don’t believe The New York Times.

It’s been a great year for the Trump 47 team, and we shouldn’t stop talking about it. I know I won’t. My colleagues and I will be doing our version of shouting the good news from the mountain tops. We’re not a part of the Democrats’ alternative reality. Thankfully, we have a president who works tirelessly to destroy their nonsensical version of the real world.

Let’s plan on having a Trump 47 second anniversary celebration next January 20.

You beat me to it. I no longer have satellite or cable, and none of the streaming services I subscribe to carried the game, so I didn’t get to watch it. Talk about a Cinderella sports story. Indiana University is know for having one of the losingest football programs in the country. In the last 5 years they’ve gone 2/10, 4/8, 3/9, 11/2, and 16/0, including 3 wins in the playoffs. Lots of teams have finished the season undefeated, but only one other division one college football team has finished the season 16/0, and that was Yale in 1894.

I quit watching professional football not just when some players participated in the kneeling/refusing to respect the anthem stupidity but when the supposed adults in charge pandered to them and coaches and management went along with them. Everyone here said college football is better anyway but like you I quit satellite and cable and haven’t gotten streaming that includes sports so basically I don’t watch any football at all—but I would enjoy seeing this game.

More than 3,000 arrests of criminal illegal aliens in Minneapolis’ Operation Metro Surge since its inception. ICE and @DHSgov‘s work is just getting started.

It’s always interesting to see just who the Left is trying to protect, is siding with against the authority of the United States.

Yang Koua Moua, a criminal illegal alien from Laos, with convictions for homicide and robbery. Moua is an admitted “Oriental Lo” gang member and was issued a final order of removal in 2013.

Tze Thao, a criminal illegal alien from Laos, with a conviction for homicide. He was issued a final order of removal in 2015.

Blong Xiong, a criminal illegal alien from Laos, with convictions for sexual assault and sodomy.

Arnoldo Jose Hernandez-Perez, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, with convictions for sexual assault and driving under the influence. Hernandez-Perez was issued a final order of removal in 2018.

Obviously the residents of Minneapolis (or the agitators who joined them in their violent frenzy) really wanted these guys, and people like them, to remain in their city and continue being their “neighbors”. After all, what’s a little homicide and sodomy and sexual assault among like-minded neighbors?

Let’s hear the argument that bringing these people back would make Minneapolis a better city. Buehler? Buehler? ?????????

You know who does have guts? The citizens of Alberta, that’s who. They are not just sitting back meekly watching their country fail, they are actively acting to get off that rapidly sinking ship. (Latest example: Canada just announced its “alignment” with China on the Arctic and Greenland.)

A little over a week ago, the first stops on the petition drive for to force a referendum on separating from Canada began.

The petition was approved by Elections Alberta in December, and after getting organized, the teams went out to start collecting the 178,000 verified signatures they needed to force a referendum on leaving Canada……when the group pulled into Calgary for one of the first stops, they were overwhelmed at the response that awaited them. Their fellow Albertans had lined up in the cold and dark hours before the start of the event to ensure they had a chance to sign the petition.

The line in Calgary was several city blocks long. Then there is this, from Red Deer with this caption: THE LONGEST LINE YET for the Alberta Independence petition. The lineup keeps growing and people are still arriving!

In Edmonton people were lined up for blocks, in the freezing cold, long before the tables were set up to get signatures.

They only need 178,000 verified signatures. “The numbers have suddenly gone so berserk so fast that normally moribund petition signature projections, which initially guided the schedule the separation groups were working on, have been thrown out. They are being fast-tracked into the ‘next step’ planning stages months ahead of time, thanks to the tremendous and overwhelming response.”

Then, I guess, the question will be if Alberta wants to be a sovereign nation or the 51st state in the United States. (My prediction: Saskatchewan will quickly follow.)

    • Amazona's avatar Amazona January 20, 2026 / 12:15 pm

This prompted me to look into the idea of US states seceding, to form new states or merely join other states. It turns out that both ideas have been discussed. I have talked about the concept of some states breaking up and forming new states, and was interested to find this:

” Since the mid-19th century, the mountainous region of northern California and parts of southwestern Oregon have been proposed as a separate state. In 1941, some counties in the area ceremonially seceded, one day a week, from their respective states as the State of Jefferson. This movement disappeared after America’s entry into World War II, but the notion has been rekindled in recent years.”

The broader view is the question of whether a state is required to participate, by membership, in a nation experiencing failure due to rejection of the original tenets and principles of the nation. That is, not just a truculent temper tantrum of not “liking” what the state’s government is doing, but finding it antithetical to the actual form and purpose of the nation to which it technically belongs.

Do the citizens of the United States have the right to demand the ability to live in a state which conforms to the government demanded by its national constitution? That is, if their state refuses to comply with the original intent, form and purpose of the nation can its citizens create a new state which does?

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona January 20, 2026 / 12:19 pm

My own projected scenario had eastern Oregon and eastern Washington merged into a new state theoretically called “Olympia” though that suggested name was just a placeholder, with northern California also becoming a whole new state of its own.

    • Mark Noonan's avatar Mark Noonan January 20, 2026 / 12:33 pm

Alberta is a cash-cow for a Canada ruled by people who utterly despise the sort of people who live in Alberta. I have come across many social media accounts arguing for Albertan independence and I hope they can pull it off. Of course the entire Ruling Class of Canada will work against it (if Alberta goes, then Canada’s hold on Saskatchewan and Manitoba becomes tenuous…Quebec and the maritime provinces won’t leave as long as Ottawa can pass out welfare…and British Columbia has been so infected by the Left that it will cling to Canada in desperation as long as it can). The bottom line is that Alberta grew up in a manner quite different from the rest of Canada…from what I understand, quite a lot of Albertans actually trace their ancestry back to Texans and other Americans who migrated north in the 19th century. It would be ok if the Canadian Left wasn’t try to boss Alberta around…especially on the matter of property and gun rights. Alberta would make an excellent State but just as fine a strong ally as an independent Republic.

      • Amazona's avatar Amazona January 20, 2026 / 12:55 pm

More than 20 years ago I did business with people in Alberta and Saskatchewan and even back then they were talking about breaking loose from “those toffee-nosed twits back in Keh-bec”. And I understand British Columbia is like a lot of U.S. states, conservatives controlled by the Urban Left, so if Alberta leaves and creates a vacuum to its east it could easily vote to become part of it and let Vancouver sit there by itself, and force Canada to cross international boundaries to get to it. Vancouver can join with Washington to make a solid Leftist corridor all the way to Seattle.

People are having a hard time grasping even the thought of the US using any level of force to “acquire” Greenland. They are always looking backwards, with little to no realization as to the ramifications. People will often act in their short-term benefit with no real oversight of the long-term picture. This provides a little glimpse…

BESSENT: Kristen, if we look for years, for over a century, American presidents have wanted to acquire Greenland. And what we can see is that Greenland is essential to the U.S. national security — we`re building the golden dome, the missile system.

And look, President Trump is looking — is being strategic. He is looking beyond this year. He`s looking beyond next year to what could happen for a battle in the Arctic. We are not going to outsource our national security. We are not going to outsource our hemispheric security to other countries.

In Trump 1.0, President Trump told the Europeans, “Do not — do not build Nord Stream 2. Do not rely on Russian oil.” And guess what, Kristen? Guess what is funding Russia`s efforts against Ukraine? European purchases of Russian oil. So, America has to be in control here.

For anyone who’s been paying attention, it’s easy to see China and Russia, along with their proxies creating chaos, seeking their own acquisitions either through force, coercion, blackmail or even purchase, in the attempts to solidify an ever-expanding local control. Neither the UK or Europe are in any real position to prevent it from happening.  Their choices are becoming stark – left or right, submit and languish or survive and prosper. Some will posture in an attempt to save face but ultimately play along. Others will be blindly defiant despite the detriment of their choice. We’re seeing the same kind of choice being played out in Canada and even in places in the US.

Make no mistake. Trump is an instrument God is using to fulfill His will. Our prayers and courage are making a difference.

    • Mark Noonan's avatar Mark Noonan January 20, 2026 / 11:46 pm

Theological matters aside, the bottom line is that Trump is the first President in a very long while to think in terms of American strategic interests. Greenland is crucial for any polar defense of the USA. But, as they say, there’s more!

There is a reason that, once upon a time, the Union Jack fluttered over Gibraltar, Malta Singapore and Cape Town…because these are crucial strategic points in the exercise of sea power around the globe. These days, Gibraltar is all that is left but the Brits have left the spot pretty much undefended against any serious attack. In a genuine world war situation, anyone can take it for the asking…and by having it, close off access to the Mediterranean to US ships. Not exactly acceptable. Meanwhile, Singapore is independent but surrounded by powerful nations including China; Malta is independent and totally defenseless. Cape Town is run by a racist Communist kleptocracy. In short, some of the most important real estate in the world for the support of sea power is just sitting there, waiting for someone to take it at will.

      We should take it.

Not for nothing did Trump talk up Panama early on – and now the Panamanians are coming around to us. They have to – we can take it back any time we like. Better to keep friends with us…plus, at the end of the day, we let them rake it in off transit…anyone else would make sure the Panamanians get squat from it. Trump is thinking strategically – and we should be working not just to get Greenland, but the other crucial locations as well…if not directly under our rule, then as de-facto Protectorates with foreign and defense policy under our control.

This is in the same vein, in a way, as something that occurred to me yesterday. That is, what the 2028 presidential campaign will look like. What can the candidate run on? Because he or she will have to run on rejecting the post-Trump years and essentially campaign on going back to the post-Biden era.

We don’t want Greenland and Denmark can have it
We support rebelling against the authority of the government
We want to bring back all the illegals who were deported
We want to get back to giving them food stamps and free health insurance (no, it is NOT “health care”) and free education
We miss all those murderers and rapists and child abusers and wife beaters and drunk drivers Trump arrested and deported and wish they were still here
We hate the new balancing of trade agreements brought about by the tariffs and want to go back to paying many times what we are paid
It’s time to get back to sending young Americans to die in other countries in futile wars
We want to reinstate all those NGOs and get back to dumping trillions into fraud schemes
We preferred having a de facto fourth branch of government making laws (cast as “rules” and “regulations”) in defiance of the Constitutional restriction of legislation to Congress, so we intend to bring back the system of unelected political appointees running the country and expanding the size and scope of federal agencies
We want our higher taxes back—we need them to feed the illegals and the fraud machine
We object to the efforts to clean up our electoral system and want to reinstate all those bogus and fraudulent vote registrations so dead people can continue to vote and people can vote as often as they want
We demand going back to a two (or even three) tier justice system because some people ARE above the law.
Merit and productivity should no longer be considered in hiring or promotions and we intend to go back to making those decisions based on skin color, gender identification or ethnicity (and always political identity)

      And so on…..

Caught a bit of Trump’s speech at DAVOS on the radio coming home from an early morning dentist appointment. I’m paraphrasing: (speaking about Greenland) I do not want to use force; I WILL NOT use force. They (Denmark) can say yes, and we’ll make a deal. They can say no, and WE WILL REMEMBER!

Trump has learned a great deal since his first term.

  11. Amazona's avatar Amazona January 21, 2026 / 11:50 am

In the AP’s story about Trump at Davos, they naturally engage in more of that editorializing that brands them as fake journalism.

“One thing is for certain: The 2020 election was not stolen. Biden earned 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232. Trump’s allegations of massive voting fraud have been broadly refuted.”

Note the implication that the “certification” of uncertifiable vote tallies, leading to the Electoral College vote, is somehow proof that those vote tallies were valid—and that this is “for certain”. It’s that sly sleight of hand the Left is so good at, that identifies its efforts as Fake News. And the AP plays this game again with its comment that “Trump’s allegations of massive voting fraud have been broadly refuted.” “BROADLY” does not mean “completely” or even “thoroughly” and they always inject the modifier of “massive” so they can then assert some level of acceptable fraud they then declare was not not “massive” enough to count.

The AP’s claims of journalistic integrity and accuracy have been far more broadly refuted than Trumps’ observations of election fraud.

I anyone is still confused about the phrase “at the speed of Trump,” this should clarify: (from The Flyover)

President Trump said on Wednesday he was cancelling tariffs on eight European countries after announcing a Greenland deal framework with NATO chief Mark Rutte at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

During his Davos speech, Trump delivered his clearest rejection yet of using military force to acquire Greenland while announcing the tariff cancellation. U.S. markets responded positively, with the Dow Jones Index rising nearly 600 points.

The president said the Greenland framework represents a long-term arrangement involving missile defense cooperation and mineral rights, describing it as lasting forever.

Trump said discussions over Greenland’s role in the Golden Dome missile shield will continue, with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio leading negotiations

Excellent post by Robert Malone this morning. The tide is turning against the medical-industrial complex.

I think we’re starting to catch on to the fact that we can have some fun practicing political judo, using the weight and momentum of the Left’s stupidity against it.

Guerilla ops are for everyone! And as our side is smarter, gonna really hurt the Left once we get into them.

What kinds of instructions does the Trump media team give his Cabinet members? How I wish I could be a fly on those walls.

Bessent is a rhetorical warrior. Gavin is a crybaby.

Bessent’s comments about Newsome at Davos are hysterical. “Newsom — who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken”.

As great as Kurt Schlichter’s writing is, Jeff Childers is giving him a run for his money in the biting commentary category:

In his savaging of media incompetence (or, let’s face it, bought-and-paid-for complicity easily mistaken for incompetence) regarding their failure to understand that Trump has been working with Denmark for months:

easily located defense contracts, published right on official US government websites, reveal the United States approved at least six major arms deals with Denmark over a six-week period starting in mid November, 2025. They include $318 million for AIM-9X missiles (Nov. 14), $730 million for AIM-120C-8 missiles (Dec. 11), $951 million for AMRAAM-ER missiles (Dec. 23), $1.8 billion for P-8A aircraft (Dec. 29), $45 million for Hellfire missiles (Jan. 8, 2026), and Denmark was allowed to redeem its expired savings stamps in return for several deluxe family appliances.

For comparison, the six weeks saw about ten times the volume of defense sales to Denmark during the entire previous twelve-month period, when the Nordic nation purchased only a handful of 9mm bullets and a large customized fighting stick that can be affixed to a dogsled.

In other words, while Trump was threatening to invade Greenland “the hard way,” the Danes were paying him billions of dollars. You think those remarkable, multi-billion dollar sales numbers might have been significant to the public’s understanding of the developing “Greenland crisis?”

None of it was a secret. Again, all the deals were published right on the Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s website. The stories even appeared in the military press.

Trump is so far in front of the curve of accomplishments that the left (both domestic and international) is spinning in circles. The smack down at Davos. The Greenland deal. And now, the newly created Board of Peace – where Trump will be the permanent head. The only way he could be removed is by board vote but… he gets to hand select who’s on the board. And he gets to name his replacement. 35 permanent members (at the price of $1 Billion each – if paid in the 1st year). While there may be some questionable members, they are deemed by Trump as those who are able to get things done. This will in essence make the UN an even more trivial organization than it already is. .

Arrests are being made, not investigations but actual arrest, of lead members of the group that disrupted a church service in Minneapolis this past weekend. Not only will these arrests directly affect the individuals but it will also open up investigations and prosecution of those who fund these antics. Those arrested face multi-year jail sentencing. At least one of these activists were receiving funds in excess of $1 Million over the past several years, for running a lucrative anti-poverty non-profit, where the amount of money that is supposed to be allocated toward poverty is far less than her salary and benefits. I’m waiting for them to perp walk Lemon too.
