It is kinda funny how political labels get made but, anyways, the Liberal Democrat Party in Japan won a landslide victory in yesterday’s snap election – picking up 316 out of 465 seats in the Diet, where Japan’s political power resides. This is a supermajority which will allow Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to remake Japan as she sees fit. Back to that label – the Liberal Democrats are the Conservative-Populist/Nationalist Japanese party. Among the Party goals are a restriction on immigration and a build up of Japan’s military – that is, not allowing Japan to be turned into something Not Japan via immigration, and building up a force which make China think twice about disturbing the balance of power in east Asia.
I don’t know if this will mean Japan builds nuclear weapons – probably won’t. But I think Japan should. I’m sure they’ve got the technical know-how to build a credible nuclear deterrent within 10 years of the word “go”. But it is a sensitive issue in Japan, for obvious reasons. On the other hand, if Japan wishes to remain a fully independent nation, she’ll have to look after her own defense. I support our continued alliance with Japan and I can’t imagine a set of circumstances where we would refuse Japan aid in case of war…but no nation should place its chips on someone else riding to the rescue. The Europeans did this and look where it landed them.
What I am confident it will mean is the low-key rebuilding of Japan’s fleet air arm will be turbocharged…as well Japan’s development of first rank attack subs (and Japan is also helping Taiwan build first-rate submarines). Basically, Japan is going to back to being a Great Power. And in my view, we should mostly leave east Asia in Japan’s hands. There is strategic risk in this because maybe a future Japanese government decides it is time for Round II. This is a low-risk possibility and so worth it for us. An alliance of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam and Australia ultimately backed by us is vastly strong enough to curb Chinese ambitions. But I would like to ultimately see the US 8th Army out of Korea as well as withdrawing American ships from permanent basing in Japan. Our main Pacific base remains Hawaii and our forward base is Saipan (I have come to loath having bases on foreign soil – just too much diplomatic friction…I’d only agree to it if the base is ceded to the US either permanently or on a century-long lease). Long term, this starts to restore a normal world where powers and regional groupings look after themselves rather than to a globalist UN paid for by tax dollars extracted from Americans. Maybe one day we will have a one world government…but it can only happen in a sane way if the peoples of the world chose it. Not have it chosen for them by elites who then lie to the people to get it done.
Meanwhile, over in Aragon, Spain, the socialist government coalition got whacked in the regional elections. Supposedly Aragon is the bellweather for Spain…as it goes, so will the nation in the next national election. Don’t know enough about Spanish politics to judge that…but here’s the thing about both Spain and Japan: it was the youth vote in both places which propelled the Right to victory. The youth of the civilized world have had enough of it…enough of their future being stolen by an aging, dying Ruling Class. And think about this: the kids have been subjected to relentless Ruling Class propaganda since they were born. In schools, in media, in pop culture…everything has told them that their own countries are bad, their own people second rate, that they have to stop being what they are if they want to be good people…and this is now being rejected. Probably on instinct. It is also what happened here in 2024 and is happening in country after country…the youth is rebelling.
The Ruling Class will not go without a fight. In Spain, for instance, faced with its increasing unpopularity, the socialist government is going to legalize 500,000 foreigners living in Spain and allow them to vote in the next election. France is set to do this as well – and the reason why there’s a Labour government in the UK is because they did this years ago. The Ruling Class is electing a new people as the old people reject the Ruling Class. I don’t have much hope for Europe because of this – the demographics have been changed too much for there to be a non-violent way back and as all European peoples have been disarmed, there’s no way to fight the Ruling Class. But the rebellion is still there – and in nations where the demographics have not been fatally altered, the rebellion is winning.
It is ok to be what you are. I would never dream of going to a foreign land and telling them to be something they’re not. And this goes even for rather despicable peoples with really lousy cultures. Hey, I used to think differently – I used to believe that most people wanted to live in peace and freedom under law with everyone minding their own business. Found out in the War on Terrorism that some peoples appear to enjoy being rat bastards and will put up with poverty, disease and oppression as long as there’s someone lower than themselves to s*** on. Hey, more power to ya. Live as you want to live. And I, an American, will live as I want to live. Just as I expect a Japanese to live as a Japanese wants to live. And Argentine like Argentine. So on and so forth. I do believe my American civilization is the best – at least, it is the best for me. I want to keep it. Because of the peculiarity of American development, I don’t completely oppose immigration…but I refuse utterly the immigrant who doesn’t want to be American. I don’t want to see people wandering around my streets dressed in bizarre, foreign garb and speaking foreign languages with all the local signage unreadable…melting pot, not balkanization. Become American. Ditch all that Old Country nonsense that doesn’t fit in…and if you’ve got something on the Old Country’s menu that tastes good, lets have at it. In English. Wearing common American clothes. With it cooked up to food safety codes and served with forks and knives. Yeah, and we don’t just dump our trash on the streets or in the local river…we’re not like that here in America.
I do think our youth rebellion will work. That they will sort this out – and with just a touch of guidance from use geezers, they’ll be able to restore America over the next couple decades. I guess there really is a limit to what people will put up with…and we’ve at last reached it.
Yesterday we had two Super Bowl halftime shows. Good for us. This is a big country. We have room for different celebrations. I enjoyed the Bad Bunny show as it gave me a chance to learn more about the culture and history of another part of our country. I’m glad we had the other halftime show so other Americans can celebrate their American. As I said, we are a big country and we have room for both.
The Super Bowl halftime show is for the people who don’t like football … period. I have never watched any of them with the exception of when Michael Jackson performed … and all the contrived controversy surrounding it is all media driven. The media loves to stoke division in this country if you haven’t noticed. Honestly, red blooded Americans who love football, don’t give two shits who performs at halftime, that’s just a chance for us to fix dinner, chat a bit and have a drink. And just a side note, I didn’t watch the TPUSA event either …
Additionally, that was the most boring Super Bowl ever played … ever. Halftime score was 9-0, there were no pass plays over 25 yards the entire game, no break away runs, no exciting plays, and the winning quarterback was 19/38 for 194 yards …. I hope the NFL improves on this performance.
Our Super Bowl parties were a staple for years, and in those days the halftime show was part of the whole thing. Not to say that people continued to sit and watch the TV, but it was left on and some would watch for a few minutes, some would glance over at it and some would ignore it. But it was a whole package—the game, the ads, the show, the hype. Some years the game was great, some years it sucked. I remember the year the Broncos were so bad they didn’t even bother to call it in, and the party was pretty flat because we had our hopes up. (I later spoke to a relative who had gone to the host city, it might have been San Diego, and when she and her sister were heading back to their hotel at about 2 in the morning people started yelling “You can’t leave now! John Elway is on his way!” and sure enough, Elway and some of the other players came staggering in, drunk on their butts and ready to keep partying. That was a hard year for Bronco fans, but whoever took him to the woodshed after that beat some sense into him because it was the last year he flipped off Denver fans.)
The thing is, the halftime show was just part of the whole thing. Now it is being repackaged as some sort of lofty cultural experience, with the subtext that if you don’t like it that means you are a Philistine/racist. The funniest thing about this year is the breathless regurgitation of the narrative that this year was a “celebration of Spanish culture” or some such nonsense.
Well, maybe—if now “Spanish culture” consists of treating all women as whores, openly talking about violent anal and oral sex in the crudest of terms, and in general wallowing in the filthiest language and symbols of any culture, anywhere. Nah. I have Mexicans in my family, I have worked with people from Central and South America and spent time in those countries, and I can flat-out guarantee that this vile exhibition of filth is as far as anyone can get from “Spanish culture”. This denigrated Spanish culture, reducing it to levels even lower than the crudest rap. It’s as if you took the lowest, crudest, most vile and demeaning drag show acts reducing women to mere caricatures using the most insulting words to describe women and created a narrative that you were really “celebrating the culture of womanhood”.
I dare any of the pious, mealy-mouthed parrots solemnly intoning the script that this event represented “Spanish culture” to find a translation of the words of those “songs” and read them aloud in front of ANY audience, but particularly in front of decent Hispanic people, with the explanation that these words represent the best of their own culture. They would not survive to get to the door.
Not only that, most Spanish-speaking people couldn’t even understand the guttural mumbling of BB’s heavy regional accent—which is probably good, because any ability for anyone to understand what he was saying might have pulled the plug on the whole tawdry mess. Funny how an f-bomb can get bleeped but put filth in a different language and there are no rules.
But we are still going to see the obedient little meat puppets of the Left swooning over this emperor’s stunning new wardrobe, cooing over how “inspiring” it was to be given a peek into the beauty of “Spanish culture”. Maybe—if they accept “Spanish culture” as represented by an alley whorehouse behind the dumpsters, with teenage turned-out hookers and adult men lined up to use them.
Look at the act, look at the “dancers”, listen to the words, and stop lecturing us about how the only reason to find the whole thing disgusting is racism.
Right after I wrote my rather strongly-worded post about the insanity of showcasing a particularly ugly subset of a deviant subculture as somehow admirable I read this in Jeff Childers’ column this morning, about the Epstein situation.
“Two days ago, Intellectual Dark Web member Bret Weinstein opined —correctly, in my view— that the Epstein files are a national security emergency. I’d go further. They pose an existential threat to governments all over the world, including ours:
To be clear, the threat is that we all lose faith in democratic institutions, concluding they are fake, corrupt, and gamed in favor of some of the worst people in the world with nauseating sexual appetites and a dismaying lack of ethics. If that happens, democracy dies for real and the age of strongmen begins.”
I highlighted those words because to me the Super Bowl halftime debacle is just another example of gaming “in favor of some of the worst people in the world with nauseating sexual appetites and a dismaying lack of ethics”.
https://s.yimg.com/ny/api/res/1.2/db6_1Lh4.BMpKrhVIhIoag–/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTEyNDI7aD0xNDU3/https://media.zenfs.com/en/aol_bored_panda_979/474665f8ef7511a4fea3db700a60d961
Big Bunny and a handful of deviants didn’t just decide to put on a show—they were CHOSEN and HIRED and PROMOTED by the organization that represents what used to be the all-American game of football. They were there under the umbrella of approval and support of this organization, which was clearly an effort to convey a level of approbation for the entire messaging it contained, support and even admiration for “nauseating sexual appetites and a dismaying lack of ethics”.
Why? Was this really the best “entertainment” the NFL could find, to appeal to millions who cross all boundaries of ethnicity, geography, income and education, united only by their love of football?
We have often talked of the “dumbing down of America” but even worse is the sliming down of America, the focus on undermining every former standard of decency and replacing it with gaudy displays of crudity and filth and depicting this as mere entertainment, nothing to see here folks, don’t read anything sinister into it, it’s just us telling your little boys how to treat girls and telling little girls how to make little boys happy.
My D is being chased and I want you to hide it
Grab it like a bonga
She took a pill that made her horny
She fucks in the Audi, not in the Honda, ayy
If I give it to you, don’t call me
‘Cause this is not to make you love me
If your boyfriend doesn’t—
He better fu—, ayy, ayy
(a last-minute evasion of the real words: “The original song includes lines like “If your boyfriend doesn’t eat your a** / He better f*** off,”)
The AOL website admits that “In the song El Apagon, the lyrics say, “Me gusta la chocha de Puerto Rico,” which Google translates to “I like Puerto Rican p**sy.” But then it hurries to sanitize this by trying to balance it with the claim that “a deeper look at the lyrics reveals that the party track contains a number of strong political statements.” (Without admitting that the entire act IS a political statement.)
The rush by the Usual Suspects includes two basic components. One is the “everyone already does all this stuff so it’s no big deal” and the other is the “WELL, what about what ###### said years ago?”
None of this has the slightest thing to do with the fact that the choice of the act was purely and blatantly political, a pro-Puerto Rican ad which will be used (translations of the speeches by BB) to support the effort to add another dependent state to the Union.
I think it might backfire, as it is also an effort to support adding another ghetto state to the Union.
From what I read, Super Bowl viewership was down 13% from 2025…and nearly 40% of those viewers turned off the half time show. So, as anti-American propaganda, it was a bit of a flop…even considering the fact that as it was in Spanish, hardly anyone could understand it.
But those are some vile lyrics no matter how you slice it – and, yes, I get it: we had some pretty vile lyrics in songs popular when I was young. Hearing some of them now makes me cringe…and wonder just how the adults back then let that pass unopposed. The whole world has been conditioned to tolerate moral degeneracy even if any particular person doesn’t engage in it. And you wonder about it because while people have always had sex and adultery/fornication are as old as time…it is very different now in that we’re not just told to smile tolerantly upon it, but to think that the more bizarre it is the more “liberating”.
Personally, I think this goes back to Edward VII – the man was a sexual monster…essentially using his position as Prince of Wales and later as King to engage in sexual activity with just about everything in a skirt that came within range. While he was alive, not a word of it came out – and, indeed, it didn’t really fully come out until very long after he died in 1910. You can get why the British press would be wary of exposing it but there was nothing to stop the American, French, German, etc press from letting it all out. But the French ruling class was also hopelessly corrupt and the German ruling class was shot through with homosexuality (Fritz Krupp committing suicide after the Italian press found up what he was up to with young boys in Italy). So maybe it was just all around the world that degeneracy became the fashion in among the elite…and to prevent themselves from being hanged by outraged mobs, they step by step conditioned us to accept it? The key here is the silence…almost as if a deal was struck that certain interests could gain advantages in return for letting the boss be like a pig at the trough? It is definitely an area of history that hasn’t been explored.
” as it was in Spanish, hardly anyone could understand it”
Even Spanish speakers had a hard time understanding it. Evidently this guy is so poorly educated and speaks so badly that it is hard for everyone to understand his guttural mumbling. He is a low-class thug, raised to wealth and fame by low-class socialist thugs, to corrupt stupid sheeple. As the daughter of one commentator told him, no one can understand what he says but the sound is catchy and makes her want to dance. What a perfect allegory for the direction our culture is heading, and of Identity Politics as well—-the words don’t matter, it’s just how it makes you FEEL.
I’ve heard that as well – wouldn’t surprise me if Spanish was the second language spoken at home. For all the talk of clowns like him about culture and history, they don’t have any of the former and are totally ignorant of the latter.
Puerto Rico is an oddity – and a bit infuriating. Part of the USA for 128 year, they’ve yet to get their act together…and this in spite of massive subsidies. They can have independence any time they want it – no American would die to keep Puerto Rico under the American flag – but every time they vote on, the pro-independence party gets trounced. Last vote (in 2024) it garnered less than 12% of the vote. On the other hand, Statehood got 59% but there’s no way we GOPers will agree to getting two permanent Democrat Senators so Statehood is going nowhere until the GOP gets stronger there (and, oddly, the GOP-aligned New Progressive Party is getting pretty strong in PR…we’ll see how that goes over time). But they live on a tropical paradise and have free access to the American economy. You’d think they could get themselves rich but they kinda weave along, subsidized by the mainland and never really getting things going. If Bad Bunny is mad about this, I suggest he look in the mirror…it was him and his people who did this, not the Gringos.
I looked up the words to those inspirational and educational songs of history and culture and didn’t find a single thing about billions of dollars of US aid just “disappearing” into the Leftist cultural jungle of PR, or the tons of food and water supplied by the US after that hurricane all left to rot because the PR administration was too busy laundering the $$$$ to bother with the actual AID to the actual PEOPLE. All I saw was some of the typical Lefty whining about how awful them white folks are and “colonizing” and so on, and even that had to be interpreted through the miasma of gutter talk about ways to violate women.
As for “racist” there is an island in the Caribbean, where there are two governments. Same basic ethnic background, same climate, etc. but two different versions of government. One of these nations, the Dominican Republic, has a low crime rate, high standard of living and a thriving tourist trade because it is safe, with great amenities. The other side of the island, Haiti, is so profoundly corrupt it is rotten to the core, with its people miserable and suffering, rampant crime and disease, no economy to speak of and no industry. People are afraid to go there. I spoke with a black woman who used to do aid work there who had to have two full-time bodyguards.
So what accounts for the difference between the living standards of these two neighboring countries on the same small island?
Racist colonialism, of course!
You would be amazed at the amount of excuses which are made for Haiti and how its all everyone else’s fault. But when you really drill down into it, you see that they’re essentially saying the Haitians are completely helpless. No agency. It is a titanic insult to Haitian humanity, when you really think about it.
Haiti’s failure is because the Haitian simply will not get it together. Dominica also endured colonialism. Oppression. Foreign intervention. Domestic dictatorship. But if you look at it, the there is a thread which binds the whole thing – everyone was trying to make it right for Dominicans. Take the US intervention – we did it to forestall European intervention because Dominica was defaulting on the enormous foreign debt they had foolishly contracted. What did we really do? Took over the collection of customs and made sure there was no corruption in it, the money going to pay the debt and finance infrastructure development…which the dictator at the time eagerly engaged it. Sure, he was a brutal rat bastard…but he left Dominica sewage systems, roads, hospitals and schools. Not him alone, of course – the rest of the people also got on board. And they got their foreign debt paid off about 15 years ahead of schedule…and since that time it has been a strong, steady upward curve for the people.
With pretty much the same thing, Haiti remains a basket case…because nobody there seems to care about Haiti, at all. Not even in the most narrow, self-interested sense. They steal as much as they can and build nothing…they don’t even maintain what others come in and build for them. Dominica has essentially walled itself off from Haiti – travel is limited and they strictly patrol their border to make sure Haitians can’t come in and wreck things. You can see the border from the air – the Haitian side is bare, deforested hills eroding away…Dominica is lush with tropical vegetation.
Personally, I think the only cure for Haiti is at least a century of colonial governance…and I mean in the strictest sense of the word. The Haitians not allowed to control their own destiny even in the smallest ways. They are to be taught first and foremost how to live…once they can keep a tidy neighborhood then we might see about letting them handle higher things. It would take a century because we have to get several generations into it to make sure the current generations ways have not been passed on…not even sure I’d let them keep their language. Force them to learn Spanish or English. Complete break with whatever sociological malfunction they’ve been living with. Outside that, I’d just leave it be…and not let them into the USA at all.
Complete break with whatever sociological malfunction they’ve been living with.
This is what it will take. It will take the reward/consequence cycle that has taught most of civilization how to work and when a system has broken down so thoroughly it can’t accomplish this internally (such as protecting people from human predators, rewarding work with money to make it possible to live in real homes and have nutritious food, etc.) then it has to be imposed by an external authority. Call it colonialism, call it paternalism, call it whatever you like, but when there is no system at all there has to be a way to create and impose a system until this becomes internalized and part of the identity of the people.
This is a wonderful letter to Temu Obama, AKA Hakeem Jeffries. I am going to take it upon myself to highlight a couple of parts I found particularly entertaining.
“mike bski
@BskiMike22802
Dear
@RepJeffries
Well, well, well. Look what the House Oversight Committee dragged in. Document HOUSE_OVERSIGHT_029342, for anyone keeping score at home.
So on May 7, 2013, Lesley Groff — Jeffrey Epstein’s personal secretary and NAMED CO-CONSPIRATOR in his trafficking case — forwarded an email TO EPSTEIN about YOU. The subject line? “Rising Star.” How flattering. Dynamic SRG was pitching you as “Brooklyn’s Barack,” a “staunch supporter of President Obama,” and encouraging Epstein to participate in a DCCC/DSCC fundraising dinner with Obama himself.
Let me make sure I have this straight. A lobbying firm was actively connecting YOU to a man who was running a child sex trafficking operation, and his indicted co-conspirator was the one making the introduction. And you want us to believe you had NO IDEA who Jeffrey Epstein was or what he was about? That dog will not hunt, Hakeem.
Here is where it gets REAL interesting. Obama’s own White House Counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, had MULTIPLE documented email exchanges with Epstein, met with him on numerous occasions, and participated in his PR strategy sessions. Epstein even told Ruemmler to “talk to your boss” — widely understood to mean Obama himself. So your party’s inner circle was neck-deep in Epstein connections while you were being served up to him as the next big thing. The whole operation is dumber than a screen door on a submarine, but somehow nobody noticed.
You have spent years demanding Epstein file releases to embarrass Trump. Your party released THREE carefully selected emails, redacted Virginia Giuffre’s name to make it look sinister, and the Republicans responded by dumping 20,000. And what did we learn? Giuffre — under oath — said Trump NEVER acted inappropriately toward her. SEVEN Epstein survivors went on ABC News and confirmed ZERO impropriety from Trump. Meanwhile, YOUR name is sitting in Epstein’s inbox courtesy of his trafficking co-conspirator.
Quinn’s Law number 2 could not be more on point: “If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing.” You screamed about Trump and Epstein for years. Turns out the call was coming from inside the house.
And Quinn’s Law number 7: “It is different when you are a Democrat; things conservatives are condemned for are merely resume enhancements for liberal Democrats.” Apparently, being promoted to a convicted child trafficker is just networking when you have a D next to your name.
You endorsed a socialist running for NYC mayor because you were terrified he would primary you. You held the government hostage for 40-plus days during the Schumer Shutdown over ACA subsidies that YOUR OWN PARTY voted to make temporary. You called a clean CR — the EXACT same format Democrats supported 29 out of 30 times since 2017 — a “partisan Republican spending bill.” Your elevator clearly does not reach the top floor on that one.
The Democrat Party has needed an underclass to maintain power since the antebellum South. You traded plantations for projects, chains for welfare checks, and overseers for social workers. And now we find out your party was also trading rising political stars with a child sex trafficker. Same exploitation, different century.
Resign, Hakeem. You were gift-wrapped and delivered to Jeffrey Epstein by his own criminal accomplice, and you have the nerve to lecture the rest of us about accountability. The lights are on but nobody is home.
But what do I know, I am only someone who actually reads House Oversight documents instead of hoping nobody else does.
When Did It Become Normal for Half the Country to Disregard Federal Law?
I’ve been asking this same question. When did it become commonplace — celebrated, even — for half the country to simply disregard federal law? When did half the country conclude that it could just go ahead and subvert the will of the people, as expressed through the laws duly passed by their elected representatives, to its own preferences — even when these are in direct contradiction to federal statute?
………………
Democrat activists don’t just ignore the law: They actively countermand it. On the municipal level, they create so-called sanctuaries, dedicated to impeding federal law enforcement wherever they can while aiding and abetting lawbreakers. On the state level, they afford benefits, licensure, voting rights, and more to illegal aliens who have no claim on such things. And on the national level, they invent things like DACA and the CBP1 app, using taxpayer money to facilitate the mass influx of illegal immigrants and “amnesty” scammers who have no business entering the country. But wherever the left has control, it subverts laws it dislikes.
Here I respond to myself with an admission that I might be completely wrong in my assessment that the whole BB thing was “a pro-Puerto Rican ad which will be used (translations of the speeches by BB) to support the effort to add another dependent state to the Union.”. There is an opinion that it was really in favor of Puerto Rican independence—which, BTW, sounds pretty good to me, a lot better than adding another dependent state, and getting rid of a bunch of “citizens” who hate America. And he is buddies with
“Daniel Di Martino told Townhall that Bad Bunny’s “halftime show felt like another political stunt to advocate for Puerto Rican independence and frame America as a colonial oppressor,” adding “that the entire show was very vulgar and pro-hookup culture, as is usual for Bad Bunny.”
………
“Did you know Bad Bunny is supported by the Venezuelan socialist regime, and that’s why he’s famous?” Di Martino asked in a video on X. “That’s right, the record label company (Rimas Entertainment) that supports Bad Bunny was founded and owned by a vice minister of the Venezuelan socialist regime, Rafael Ricardo Jimenez.”
Jiménez previously served as Hugo Chávez’s Vice Minister of Legal Security and Legal Certainty within Venezuela’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice. Jiménez has been suspected of direct involvement in Chávez’s “Mission Identity” program, which was reportedly used to issue false identities to Cuban agents and to facilitate travel for suspected terrorists and drug traffickers.
He left the post in 2013 and co-founded Rimas Entertainment the following year. In recent years, Jiménez has kept a low profile, avoiding public appearances with Rimas artists, including Bad Bunny, as Noah Assad, Bad Bunny’s manager and the current CEO of Rimas, has reportedly tried to distance himself from Jiménez. ”
This came after it was revealed that Bad Bunny used the halftime stage to promote independence for Puerto Rico, criticize the United States for the colonization of Hawaii, and even attempt to redefine what it means to be “American.” “
so after a brief review of the halftime show, I see that the Bunny jumped around a lot, sang words no one can understand, and had scantily clad women dancing around. Wow, no one has ever done that before. I’m not sure how Casper gained anymore understanding of Latin culture from that performance.
Cluster,
The performance referenced both the history and culture of the Island from the sugar cane plantations to the power outages from hurricanes. It included a real wedding and actual small businesses. A lot of it wasn’t obvious because it was about the Puerto Rican experience. As I said it was a wonderful learning experience about a different part of the American culture. While I’ve spent a lot of time in the Caribbean, I haven’t visited Puerto Rico yet and after watching this I find myself wanting to.
I’ve been lucky to do a lot of traveling in the last few years, visiting dozens of states and over forty countries. For me it has been a treat to spend time learning about the history and culture of different places and hoe they all connect.
Wow. That’s a big history lesson for a brief “entertainment” segment at a football game. Oh, wait—he didn’t really just stand there and talk about all that, he just “referenced” things like power outages and small businesses. And you, being you and all with all that time being a world traveler, just extrapolated strong historical and political statements from half-naked girls climbing power poles, or buying shaved ice from street vendors. For someone who couldn’t even understand the Constitution you sure have developed some mad interpretation skills. Or, studied your script so you could nod sagely and murmur “so that’s what that was about”.
What did you think of his anti-America messages? How about his connections with the Venezuelan socialist regime, and his promotion as an “artist” by his record label owner Rafael Ricardo Jimenez, who was Hugo Chávez’s Vice Minister of Legal Security and Legal Certainty within Venezuela’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice. Jiménez has been suspected of direct involvement in Chávez’s “Mission Identity” program, which was reportedly used to issue false identities to Cuban agents and to facilitate travel for suspected terrorists and drug traffickers.” Given your ignorance of actual American history you probably missed his efforts to redefine what it means to be “American”. After all, you took an anti-American act to really mean being about “a different part of the American culture”—though, of course, not American culture at all.
What you did was watch (maybe) an act described as incoherent and impossible to understand even by Spanish speakers, and then obediently memorize some Lefty talking points so you could smugly explain what an uplifting experience it was to sit there and bask in the history and culture of a corrupt and failed island as shouted by someone constantly grabbing his crotch, using this as a platform to denigrate your own country. As if…..
“A lot of it wasn’t obvious” Well, DUH! No, it took someone explaining it to you so you could pretend it was really deep and meaningful, the way he juxtaposed pole dancers with power outages in a way that was—dare I say it—-POWERFUL !?
I’ll bet you were moved to tears when he went through that bogus act of pretending to give his Grammy to a little boy who was supposed to represent the boy who was abandoned by his father and rejected by his mother and rescued by ICE, hiring a professional actor to play the part of the child so he could do a silly little scripted lie. That no doubt resonated with you. It was as real, and meaningful, as the rest of the hot mess that was the biggest F-YOU to football fans the NFL has ever handed out.
“Wow. That’s a big history lesson for a brief “entertainment” segment at a football game.”
I had already spent a lot of time learning about the history of the Caribbean when I was traveling in the area. The show peaked my interest to learn more. It wasn’t hard to find the information. Most the people who watched the show enjoyed it and wanted to learn more about that part of our country. This was an American production put on by Americans. I’m sorry you weren’t able to understand it.
Oh, my, so you are going for smug condescension now, are you? Hint: That works better if you have a basis for smugness, OR condescension. (And stop pretending you “understood” anything yourself. You didn’t understand a word of that garbled ghetto Spanish and had to be fed a script by your masters to tell you what you could later claim to understand.) What you SAID was that you learned ever so much from listening to the big bunny, all about history and culture doncha know, which piqued (not “peaked” you bogus teacher) your interest, blah blah blah. So now you are falling back on how much you learned in all that time you spent “in the area” and admit “it wasn’t that hard to find the information”—meaning it was not part of the spectacle after all, you big liar. That’s the thing about phonies like you—you can’t keep your stories straight, because that’s all they are—stories. In your case, pompous efforts to appear worldly and intellectual which is why you could suss out the deep cultural and intellectual messages of the smutfest Libs suddenly feel a need to defend. And you are so transparently bogus you couldn’t even begin to carry it off. You learned “history” (and “culture”) from “references” in a song you couldn’t understand?
(BTW, if you want to learn any history from a song, listen to your own national anthem, not some babble with vague references to grievances with Uncle Sam.)
“so other Americans can celebrate their American” (sic)
And here you have it—-SO OTHER AMERICANS CAN CELEBRATE THEIR OTHER AMERICA—-and this is praised. Well, the problem is that there are people who think this makes sense, and is a good thing—-that people have different Americas and it’s Ok if they are antithetical to each other.
It’s a perfect summary of what is wrong with this country and what is wrong with the people who make it this way.
Men like Casper have been convinced that they are toxic white men who need to bow to the alter of diversity. They have allowed other people to tell them who they are … it’s pathetic.
Casper has been cruising his whole life on a fantasy image of himself as an “intellectual” because he has a college degree. He has, in all the time he has been trying to find acceptance here, been quite smug in his assumption that he is smart, even while consistently proving the opposite. He used to try to lecture us on the Constitution (which he allegedly taught to middle schoolers) and his interpretations of this crucial document were so bizarre they marked him as a total intellectual lightweight. One example: He arrogantly explained to us that anyone who believes in following the Constitution as it is written then also believes we should go back to having slaves and denying women the vote. (Because of what the Constitution says about women and voting and slaves???)
Then when challenged on this utter stupidity he lied and claimed he had never said any such thing. When I asked if the parents of his students knew what kind of crap he was feeding them he panicked and accused me of “trying to get him fired”—-an interesting reaction showing 1) awareness that what he was teaching was so wrong it should get him fired, and 2) lying about me, when I never threatened to tell those parents anything and just wondered how they would react if told. (And BTW, I met some of those parents when I did a lot of business in Casper, Wyoming, which is when I learned his identity and that he was already a laughingstock, as well as creeping people out with his really INTENSE interest in the more vulnerable students, those with limited abilities and more susceptibility to special attention from an authority figure.)
There are several reasons, these among them, he strikes me as a Tim Walz type—physically, mentally, ethically, etc. with delusions or at least pretenses of accomplishment. I think the most accurate and honest thing he ever said here was his admission of being flattered to be compared to Maizie Hirono.
Now he is claiming to have experienced great enlightenment about the history and culture of Puerto Rico after watching a ghetto thug mumble in incomprehensible Spanish (not that he would have been able to understand clearly enunciated Castilian either) and been moved—-so very deeply moved—-by this spiritual experience that it has prompted him to delve deeper into the glories of Puerto Rico. Well, then he admits that what he heard only “referenced” some things, which of course he had not been able to understand at the time, and that it was easy to “look up” the information he had claimed had been conveyed to him through the magic of music. Or something. Whatever.
This is such a gratifying article … this is what happens when education is local and accountability matters … This is an important reminder that positive outcomes only happen when you’re surrounded by people who love and care for you, and when discipline and accountability are applied. There is not one federal bureaucrat or policy that can result in this ….
“……hope emerges in the most unlikely of places: three states here in the Deep South that long represented America’s educational basement. These states — Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi — have histories of child poverty, racism and dismal educational outcomes, and they continue to spend less than most other states on public schools.
Yet, consider:

I’ve read that Florida too is working on using the templates of those states to improve it’s own education.

Well this is interesting … Biden planted an SDNY/FBI agent in the Project Veritas to infiltrate and take down that company. Not only that, but this Matt guy is also on record saying that he wants to kill James O’Keefe, which I thought was illegal, but not for Democrats I guess. This is just another example of the filth that Democrats have brought upon this country

Casper and Rocks are good examples of what has happened to the sexes that we have been discussing recently. They are soft men, they are emasculated men, and they are apologetic men. The media and the elites have convinced them that because of their skin color, they have had advantages no one else ever had, and that they are undeserving and guilty because of it … and both of them fell right for it. They allowed other people to tell them who they are and who they should be, and they don’t push back for fear of being brown beaten again. Hence, emasculation and the acceptance of their guilt. And because of this, they can be led to believe anything. Which is actually the goal of all Democrat agendas, specifically the trans movement … if government can get you to believe that men can become women, they can get you to believe anything.
Well, allow me to include BillBonk to the list of emasculated weak men, whose capitulation to women and minorities is laughable. I am sure he considers himself a “White Savior” … in the Dudley Do Right mold.
Anyway, no need to concern ourselves with the losers in life, this is how you address Democrats from now on … you get in their face and piss down their throat. Fuck these people. They are the dumbest fucking people in our country and I want them gone … Good job Pam

The Left has made the mistake of conflating courtesy with weakness, so the polite responses of conservatives to Leftist rudeness and hostility have led them to escalate, convinced that more aggressive bullying will be tolerated. And, of course, who could be an easier victim than a pretty, petite,soft-spoken blonde woman?
Ask Jamie “Raghead” Raskin if he still believes this.
And the absolute freakout on the Left about the Epstein files gets funnier every day. The Right has been pointing out that it would be irresponsible to just release the raw files before vetting them to make sure than innocent people didn’t have their names included, that confidential national security info was not revealed, etc. And the Left’s spittle-flying screeching outrage at this has constantly circled around the claim that the files were being hidden to “protect Trump”. Now that millions of pages have been revealed, the hysteria has not died down, just done a 180 to express even more outrage at—you guessed it—REVEALING THE FILES!
Fortunately for them, their base is too stupid to follow the bouncing yellow ball from one feigned outrage to another, but fortunately for the rest of us not everyone is that stupid. And most of those who are are still working on how to sell the “I was so deeply moved by the glorious Super Bowl spectacle and its revelation of the profound depth and beauty of the Spanish culture and Puerto Rican history that I am still giving thanks for the opportunity to experience such a seminal moment in the development of civilization….” blah blah blah. But give them a minute and they will get back to checking their notes on what they are supposed to be howling about this week.
I think Bonkers’ self identity is closer to being that stick you use to scrape dog shit off your shoe and then ram through the spokes of a passing bicycle ridden by someone with a coherent message. That is, of marginal utility in a limited scope but usually just for mindless disruption.
LOL, they are all pond scum. Here’s another point about Epstein by Clay Travis, that I didn’t know. Evidently ALL of the identified victims of Epstein are all on record about their abuses and by whom, with not one mention of Donald Trump, secondly, all of them have been paid over $100 million collectively from the Epstein Estate. We know who the limited number of perpetrators there were, and some will get away, others wont … I’m looking at you Former prince Andrew. This case has been litigated and settled, it’s just a weapon now.
So knowing the obsessive mental drivel that our resident morons are currently engaged will be deleted, as it should be, it is a great example of how unhinged these people are. They are violently psychotic because we say words they don’t like. That’s all it takes to incite them to violence, which is a clear sign of low IQ people with zero conflict resolution skills. They are judgmental and intolerant with superiority complexes, and no one you would ever want to be friends with.
Lately i have been having fun on social media touting Trumps achievements in contrast as to what Democrats are doing. In just one year, we have lower inflation, lower gas prices, lower taxes, no tax on tips, no tax on social security, a secure border, trillion dollars of new investments which will create good jobs soon, much lower crime, less drugs, no retarded men in women’s sports, $1,000 savings accounts for American children, lower pharmaceutical drug prices, cease fire in Gaza, no nuclear Iran, and drug cartels are on the run.
And what again is the Democrat agenda?? Fighting Nazi’s?
We are not the same.
Not only “not the same;” they apparently don’t want any of the things you mentioned, and wouldn’t try to do the same thing if they were in power. In fact, during the four horrific years of the Biden crime spree, they did just the opposite.
It used to be that the Left was highly skilled at circular arguments. We witnessed many of them on this blog. Now they just come right out and attack those who accomplish good things for the majority of Americans. I hope that’s not lost on the voters come November.
Well, there is a little progress. For example, we are finally (FINALLY!) starting to arrest and charge people with felonies, for violating Title 18, Section 111 of the U.S. Code, a catch-all charge for anyone who “forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes” with a federal officer conducting official duties.
Naturally there is outrage, so much outrage, with the whine that these are merely “suburban housewives” being harassed for “protesting”. Nonsense. They are part of organized and funded insurrectionist cells, focused on rebelling against the authority of the United States and its laws thereof, as well as engaging in organized assaults, resisting, opposition, impeding, intimidating, or interfering with law enforcement.
I’ve been wondering for months why these criminals have not been arrested and charged, for FEDERAL crimes (keeping them away from the corrupt revolving-door policies of their Soros-funded “judicial” system) resulting in bail assessment, legal fees and permanent felony records.
