We knew, of course. We’ve watched since 1969 how the Democrat party – and the overall American Left – have wanted America defeated. As soon as Vietnam became “Nixon’s war”, American defeat was the Democrat goal. But for the longest while they managed to hide it, at least a bit. They’d make statements about love for the troops or the desire for peace or some such…but what they’ve wanted is our defeat. The Democrat Party wants America to lose.
Some of this stems from the infiltration of the Democrat party by out and out communist traitors: that is, people ideologically committed to our destruction. But most of it stems from a sick calculus on the part of the Democrats – if America loses, Democrats can justify ever more spending, ever more control and, starting with the “boat people” ever more mass migration (though, of course, they picked wrong on the “boat people”…they are ardently anti-Communist to this day, as are the Cubans…and this is why you never hear of Democrat groups trying to bring more Vietnamese and Cubans in). There is more grift to be made, that is. In other words, the Democrats can steal more from a dying, defeated America than they can from a vibrant, victorious USA.
But now the mask is fully off – since the first moment of our righteous war against the wicked regime in Tehran, Democrats have been issuing flat out Mullah propaganda. Whatever absurd lies are issued, Democrats pick up on them. It is abundantly clear that Democrats are hoping for a high US (and Israeli) casualty rate as precursor to ignominious American defeat with a revived and triumphant Mullah regime. Keep in mind that they’re doing this when by every metric the American-Israeli alliance is winning an astonishing victory. That even as the Mullah regime is pushed to the edge, Democrats are still trying to pull their fat out of the fire.
Why?
Because the Global Establishment is a house of cards – with the central support for it being a weak, blind and blundering USA. That is, the whole system is based upon the requirement that the United States not be the United States.
We won World War Two. Not the Russians. Not the British. Not the United Nations. We did. Without American participation, there was no victory coming over the Axis. Without American support, there was no means whereby the UK and the USSR could remain in the war. We not only equipped twelve million of our own, but millions more around the world. This isn’t to denigrate what the UK, Russia and others did – within their very limited means, they did what they could. We did everything. All at once. With no detriment to any aspect of our national power. The Global Establishment (which, of course, including many Americans) looked at this on September 2nd, 1945 and shuddered in fear…what if these American hicks fully understand how powerful they are? What’s to stop them?
To which the hicks would have answered – if they had ever been asked – nothing, but we aren’t going to do anything like that because we’re Americans. The good guys. As long as everyone lives and works in peace, we don’t otherwise care what they’re up to.But the Establishment couldn’t see that…all they could see was Americans from obscure places like Kansas and Alabama ruling over the ruins of their world. They became determined to tie down this leviathan…to drug it. Put it to sleep. Make it doubt itself. Weaken it in every manner possible. Such an America provided two things for the Establishment – cannon fodder to keep the Establishment in power and a ready source of money to steal. And they were determined to keep on going to the end of time…just keep America down.
And my goodness they almost succeeded! At least forty percent of Americans are in favor of American defeat right now (though I’ll be bound that of Americans descended from those alive in 1945, the number is down around twenty percent – the newcomers and their immediate progeny weren’t imported just for the heck of it, after all). We are drugged – literally and figuratively. We are – or at least, were – very much asleep.
But all through this time – right from the start in the late 1940s – there was a restive element in the United States. The people again and again showed they didn’t like what the Establishment was doing. They didn’t want us in the UN. Didn’t really want is in NATO, either. Didn’t want a gigantic military-industrial complex (we hadn’t one in 1941 and it proved entirely unnecessary that we should). Didn’t want mass immigration. Didn’t want welfare bums (differentiated from helping people out through a temporary rough patch). We wanted criminals smacked down. Didn’t want endless wars with no victory. But no matter how we registered our displeasure at the polls – no matter how many times we revolved the doors between Democrats and Republicans – nothing changed…except for the worse as the Establishment just gave us ever more of what we never wanted.
Until Trump.
Is he a genius? We can’t judge: too close to the event. Is he some sort of force of nature? Also can’t know as its too soon. But he’s clearly seen something…he has a vision. He might put it in almost slapstick terms, but underlying it all is the America which launched dozens of fleet carriers over a four year period. That is, an America which only had to envision the goal and then set to work. Roosevelt called for 50,000 planes and everyone in the Establishment scoffed at him…but over the following four years the USA built more airframes than the rest of the world, combined. Something like nearly 500,000 of them. Americans did it. Because they could. Because Americans can do anything. Moonshot in eight years from the word “go”. If they are allowed to be Americans. If they aren’t…well, then, maybe we’ll get there in ten or twelve years…but it’ll be a diverse crew! Trump wants that America back…the America that even in the depths of the Great Depression was still outproducing everyone, was richer than everyone and was still building such impressive monuments as Hoover Dam, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building. All of which, I’ll bet, cost less than even one Learing Center.
This is why the Establishments wants him dead. Vance, too. Why it has fever dreams of sending MAGA to reeducation camps: if Trump wins – if America wins – then it is all over for them. All Americans will want to do is win some more…and keep on winning and winning and winning. Getting richer and more powerful and more advanced and just enjoying the heck out of being free and happy. While the rest of the world stews in mediocrity…maybe pointing to an ancient monument…which I’ll bet if we can work out the genetics were built by people who’s descendants emigrated to America as soon as they could.
And, hey, don’t get me wrong – as people, person for person, we’re no better than anyone else. But as Americans, we simply are better than everyone. It stems from our attitude towards life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is wound around with our Declaration of Independence…it is sustained by our Constitution, the only one in the world which actually seeks to secure the rights of individuals (even great nations like Israel and Argentina still have those aspects in their laws which allow the government to suspend any and all rights if the government thinks it should – only our laws have the phrase “Congress shall make no law”). Until the rest of the world becomes like us, they can’t compete – and if they become like us then, well, they’re like us and so no problem. Can’t help it if it was our Founders who found the magic talisman or were specially blessed by God with wisdom…I can only see things as they are and realize that my Americans went from subsistence farming to global dominance in well under a century. That’s kinda amazing. That’s proof of our supremacy. And that supremacy is now coming back.
Great post, Mark. Spot on!
Thanks!
One of the biggest problems Leftists face in imposing their ideology on others (aside from the fact that their ideas have never worked) is that they have to pay others to enforce their tyranny, while patriots whose only goal is liberty work for free.
I’d also add that throughout history, those who believe in limited government are never the aggressors trying to impose their will on others. If that were not the case, most Leftists would be dead.
Exactly – and now we’ve got a real problem as the Ruling Class dies…the SAVE Act has overwhelming popular support. Some polls have it at 80% which means even most Democrats are in favor of it. Of course: it is simple common sense that if you are to vote, you better verify that you are eligible to vote. Duh.
But the measure is stalled in the Senate under a GOP majority…with the GOP Senate leadership throwing up its hands and saying, “sorry, there’s nothing we can do to get this overwhelmingly popular measure to the President’s desk”. This is why Republics almost invariably opt for some form of Caesar…because the Ruling Class of any Republic eventually becomes corrupted and refuses to do what the people want. Out of sheer frustration, people do turn to someone who says they will get it done. And it is for the price of having a dictator…but the first dictators are usually ok; that is, not full blown tyrants. It is Augustus (great) to Tiberius (ok but tyrannical) to Caligula (insane tyrant).
I do hope that Trump is able to break the log jam here – one thing a lot of people miss is that he’s strictly Constitutional on such things…he wants a law. Only a law actually carries long term weight. But if Congress won’t pass laws the people want…things could get bad.
The problem is the tribalism of the Democrats. Fetterman is literally the only Dem I can think of who seems to think, and vote, based on what is best for the country instead of just protecting or advancing the power of the party. And it is totally oppositional, with a knee-jerk automatic rejection of every single thing proposed by any Republican.
When a party openly comes out in favor of protecting the ability of non-citizens to vote, openly fights any effort to make our elections less vulnerable to fraud or manipulation, openly supports felony interference with law enforcement, fights efforts to find and end fraud and the waste of billions of dollars every year, and bases every action and principle on opposition to any conservative idea, there is no way to get laws passed.
It does make for towering difficulties! I don’t know exactly how we get around this…we can’t just let them get away with it. They have to be stopped. Rational government must be done…but they’re insane…so, what? I hope Trump has this gamed out.
Our election process is a disgrace. Much of the rest of the world does it much better than we do. I realize the idea of thwarting free and fair elections doesn’t bother most Democrats, but I can’t imagine why any Republican would want that as his or her legacy. The only explanation is that they aren’t really Republicans. Attrition is gradually getting rid of the RINOs, but there are still enough to gum up the works.
You say “the idea of thwarting free and fair elections doesn’t bother most Democrats” but I have come to think that to Democrats, this is not a bug but a feature. They have started to openly advocate for policies and processes that make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to have free and fair elections—-and they are blatant about it. Their advocacy for elections vulnerable to every kind of fraud has become part of their official party identity.
“You say “the idea of thwarting free and fair elections doesn’t bother most Democrats” but I have come to think that to Democrats, this is not a bug but a feature.”
I don’t think your average, garden variety Democrat wakes up every morning trying to think of ways to cheat in elections, but certainly the leadership and the activist foot soldiers do.
I agree—-but on the other hand if there are average garden variety Democrats who really want to improve election security, they are being pretty quiet about it.
OK..I just realized I am not being fair. Clearly many are voting in polls, saying they support voter ID laws, so it’s probably just the lapdog Agenda Media not saying anything about this, and only giving air to those who are against it.
Looks like Senate Dems are going to get a chance to make the ads that the GOP will then use against them in the midterms. Ain’t Karma a bitch?
While I am not crazy about the ability to get a REAL ID by attesting to citizenship and counting on states to then investigate through their own records to confirm or deny this claim, I understand why it was included in the bill. When Mike Lee explained this I wondered why we aren’t emphasizing this, and using it to point out that all the objections are based on what can most generously be described as laziness in failing to read the bill—-or stupidity in not understanding it.
I think we need to hammer squishes like Murkowski and her stupid objection to the bill, as well as Dems, and hope that the filibuster will give us a chance to make those points.
What’s so disappointing to me is all the “brave” and concerned people who said repeatedly that Iran must not have a nuclear weapon and how they are a global threat and oppressive to their pwn people …. Yet they cower when the time comes to do something about it. Those are the worst type of people. All talk …. And only for personal gain and benefit. They really did care, didn’t they? But not enough to actually do something about it. Like Joe Kent, who just resigned because he is weak and never meant what he stood for.
And for the love of God will Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, MTG, and Meghan Kelly just STFU already??? Who in the hell do they think they are?
I think the worst is Kelly, who has really gone off the rails and I think is showing a dark side of her that she managed to keep hidden, or disguised, for a long time. Owens was always kind of iffy, and started believing her own publicity image, and as for Carlson, I’m willing to cut him a little slack in thinking that maybe he just got so used to being a big voice that he didn’t realize he didn’t have to say EVERYTHING that popped into his head. Jeff Childers said something similar yesterday. I think he is trying to hang onto the fame and respect he has had for so long, and has made some serious miscalculations about how to do that. A lot of his success was from long interviews with controversial people, but giving that platform to people who are flat-out nuts or anti-American was just bad judgment. I’d like to think that his momentum has driven him deeper into the weeds than he really wanted to go and that he would like to find his way out. But if I am wrong and he stays lost, well, he had a good run.
The thing is, Trump sandbagged him big time, so it will be hard.
I agree with your take on Kelly. I don’t know what’s going on with her, but just saw a post from Tucker saying “when was the last time we took out a Religious leader? We have never taken out a Religious leader”.
Well aside from the fact that we took out Osama Bin laden, The Ayatollah is NOT a religious leader Tucker. Islam is NOT a religion. It’s a death cult. And it turns outs that chanting “Death to America” for the last 50 years finally has consequences. Thank you Trump and our brave military
I’m not saying Tucker is right, just that I have a little more faith in his motive than I do with the other two. I think he is wrong, massively wrong, in nearly everything he is saying and doing right now, but I don’t sense malignance in it, just moral and intellectual confusion.
Stephen Green has a great line about Tim Walz: “This guy is a handful of confetti away from Rip Taylor.”
A World Full of Cowards … I think is the best characterization of what’s going on today and I never expected it. But what else can one conclude when so many countries are reluctant to protect their own oil supply? Where is NATO?? They depend on the Strait. How about China?? They get 80%+ of their oil through the Strait. And how about the allies of Iran?? Where in the hell is NK? Russia? Or even China?? Why aren’t they stepping in? Or at the very least being very vocal critics?? There has been nearly universal global condemnation of Iran over the last 50 years and when the rubber meets the road … they hid and fled. This attack on Iran has separated the men from the pretenders, and we know who they are both here and abroad. America is superior to every other country and we need to act like it from now on.
Well, I expect Europe to cower. If they can’t stand up to the rabble they have let into their countries, they sure aren’t going to stand up to an entire country. If they aren’t shamed by their cowardice in allowing mobs to take over their countries, rape their women, turn their children into sex toys and dismantle their political and judicial systems they certainly aren’t going to find backbones now
My question is: “What are they afraid of?” Are they afraid Iran will not be destroyed and will rise again to seek vengeance on all who supported the attacks on her? Well, there’s an easy answer to that—just make sure the victory is so complete this can’t happen Are they afraid of retaliation from China or Russia? Or are they quaking in their bunny slippers in fear of the opinions of the rest of the Left around the world?
I say, call them out on it. Call them cowards, call them hypocrites. Keep pointing out that if they can’t even defend their own countries and heritage and culture and people we can’t really expect them to stand up for what is right anywhere else in the world. Keep saying that after watching them meekly bend the knee to the barbarians at their own gates—worse, the barbarians in their own countries after they opened the gates—we would only be surprised if they suddenly did act with courage and integrity.
I say we go along with their idea that because we are on the other side of the world they have no reason to align with us, and cut them loose. Tighten visitor visas so much it is almost impossible for anyone from England, Ireland, France or Germany to come to the United States for any reason and stop treating them like allies. Through diplomatic, rather than social media and other media channels, point out that while they may be cowed by fear of Russia and/or China now, wait till those countries realize they no longer have the backing and protection of the United States to see how they like that. And continue to build the Western Hemisphere alliances, and make it the international powerhouse it could be and should be. Stretch a united entity from pole to pole, ignoring the simpering whimpering Canada stuck in there but including Greenland, and let Europe wither. (And let Canada know that if that Chinese military base just north of our border even blinks the wrong way Canada itself will be on the pointy end of a very sharp American stick for militarily colluding with China.)
Over the last few years, I have read and heard how Europe is “lost” all because of overwhelming illegal immigration. I never gave it too much thought until now … and they may be right. What a sad realization. Hopefully they will grow a backbone and do something about it. I do that France has seen their share of riots condemning their governments lax migration policies. One thing is for sure …
White Nationalism is a hell of a lot better than Brown Globalism
The Blessed Mother clearly stated over 100 years ago (and many times since) that communism would spread its errors all over the world if we did not return to God and prayer. It’s not just Europe that is infiltrated, the US is also in a fight to regain/retain its basic Judeo / Christian heritage. Many other countries are also in the same plight. The term “leftist” is largely associated with a people with certain ideologies, striving for things like collectivism, equality, egalitarianism, etc.., believing those to be paths to a better world. They are generally clueless about the destructive nature of what they seek. Without realizing it they are nothing more than tools of satan; a combination of evil souls intent on the destruction of anything in its way -and- the poor souls deluded into believing either a. God does not exist or, b. They are standing up for a moral justice, not realizing just how perverted their stance is.
I will repeat what I have been saying about the biggest lure of the Left, at least in this country. That is, its promise of being a shortcut to the Higher Moral Ground.
I think most people genuinely want to be good people, or at least want to be seen as being good, but being a good person can be hard. Then along comes a movement cloaked in the disguise of being, as Musk said, “the party of kindness” with its message that it offers a shortcut to the Higher Moral Ground. People don’t gravitate to a message like that because they want to be evil They do it because they want to be good. It’s just that the message offers a shortcut to “being good”—that is, join this club and wear this jersey and put this letter on your lapel and vote this way and shazaam! you are Good.
It’s seductive, it is pervasive, and it is addictive. It is hard to walk away from an Identity that proclaims you, as a member of this group, as morally and even intellectually superior. And the fog of superiority is like a huge smoke bomb, hiding the cruelty and hatred represented by the undisguised reality of the movement.
The irony of it all. While Democrats bitch and moan about the SAVE act and claiming people are just incapable of getting an ID …. One is reminded of when CA was handing out ID’s in the form of commercial drivers licenses to foreigners. Those were easy to get .
