It was just a few words:

There is more to the document, of course, but that is it – that is America, distilled. Nothing written by the hand of Mankind is more important. It is the peak of humanity and we can either sustain it or retreat from it – we cannot improve it.
To state that we’re all equal and endowed by rights – including the right to alter or abolish our form of government – is the true revolution in human affairs. There is nothing like it before, and nothing after. Every other attempt at crafting a society puts a “but” in there. Some mechanism whereby it is not held to be true that all people are created equal and that, when push comes to shove, their rights are not an endowment, but a revocable gift. It is those words which set the standard. A standard the entire world falls short of. Even such reliable American friends as Japan and Israel don’t quite match up.
The Founders left us this precious gift – and the enemies of America, since 1776, have been at war with it. Back then it was monarchs, now it is communists. They cannot allow us to stand – because our existence is a direct challenge to them. For all their justifications of tyranny fall flat when we merely point to those words and say, “why not?”. Why aren’t your people endowed with rights? Why can’t they alter or abolish their government? What are you afraid of?
The people, of course. They always fear the people. And the more they claim the mantle of tribune of the people, the more dark fear eats their hearts. Because the people, if really asked, would just opt for those few words. My rights are mine: God (or Nature, if you like) gave them to me by simple fact of being human. I, along with my fellow human beings, will decide our form of government – we will not have it imposed upon us. Neither by claims of tradition nor revolutionary necessity. We can actually see this in the World Cup events here in the United States: people from all around the globe, of every possible creed, are just having a good time – singing and dancing with each other in sheer joy. Why? Because here, in the USA, they are freed from their tribal leaders who keep them down…nobody is telling them to hate, and so they are loving. They might go back home next week and immediately fall prey to the liars who poison their minds…but in this brief moment, in the one truly free country on Earth, their humanity shines forth…and they are, even if only for a moment, just like us.
We dare not lose this precious gift. It is under attack, at home and abroad. Indeed, we look with sorrow on the number of Americans who minds are so poisoned that they are refusing to join us in celebration of our 250th anniversary. I believe we will save this last, best hope. I do believe that what is good cannot perish; and those few words, written 250 years ago, make us good. Not that we don’t ever sin, but that as long as we hold those words to be the self-evident truths they are, then we cannot totally fail, and we will recall ourselves to the promise of America.

Agreed. The United States of America is a once-in-history governmental experiment in that it is the only one in which the government is limited by design and accountable to the people. No one bent on achieving power will ever allow that to happen again.

I’m beginning to have more confidence that the American people are starting to wake up to the existential threat posed by the radical Marxist and Islamofascist elements of this country. They may elect a handful to Congress; they may even attempt to take over the Jackass party, but that will spell the death knell for Democrats, not the rebirth. We’ll have a clearer idea about the immediate future come November 3rd, but, like Mark, I’m feeling pretty good about it right now. The majority of voters have to put their hatred of Trump over a lot of good things to send us down the wrong path, and I just don’t see that happening.
re: hatred of Trump. The Complicit Agenda Media have normalized this irrational hatred, to the point where it is simply accepted as a very normal thing to feel. I think it is time to start pointing out that this is NOT normal, that giving control of your biggest decision as a citizen to an emotion that used to be considered a personality disorder is foolish and dangerous.
I’m not sure how to deal with this, but obviously it has to be an incremental whittling away at the acceptance that blind hatred is normal. It’s just not questioned, and I think it is essential to start questioning it. We can question specifics: Recently one of the View hags, in a rant about Trump being a “pedophile”, claimed that he had “punched a child in the head and pushed his head down…” before she trailed off, possibly realizing that her beloved fantasy about Trump had hit a dead end. But no one said “????” No one challenged her. But I am sure this resonated with a certain mentality, with someone whose brain was so empty of anything of value that there was room for another scurrilous and defamatory image that fit nicely with the others in a fever swamp of ridiculous yet seething hate.
No, I am talking about ridiculing the insanity of voting based on a vague sense of dislike for someone, which is in turn based on gossip and/or superficial characteristics like skin tone or hair style. It’s a tough problem, as it is based on the increasing decline of basic intelligence in the American public. Worse, it’s related to the decline of basic human decency in the American public. Look at the savage treatment of Erica Kirk. This is a woman who was happily married with no hint of scandal associated with her, a mother with another child on the way, clearly in love with her husband, a religious woman, who saw her husband gunned down for his beliefs—-and a segment of the most hate-driven and toxic Americans suddenly targeted her with the most vile, vicious, venomous and clearly false attacks on her character merely for being the widow of a fallen American hero.
Even given these speed bumps, I still think that we should start a campaign of simply ridiculing Identity Politics, making fun of people who base what they think are political decisions on gossip and superficial characteristics like hair instead of thinking about what really matters. I doubt that anyone would be taken seriously for saying “I can’t vote for Schumer because he wears those colored plastic glasses on the end of his nose” but it’s accepted to use the concept of Orange Man as the basis for voting for a Democrat.
That is, stop calling Dems “evil” and just start laughing at them for being so silly and superficial. Stop elevating their stupidity by treating it like something scary, and start making fun of them for just blindly letting themselves be controlled by gossip and hate.

But they get away with it because everyone lets it just sit there, as if it has meaning and importance. When have we heard anyone demand examples of the alleged moral failures of Trump? Any so-called answer would have to be related to claims of things like “pedophilia” (which is the ugly evolution of the effort to link him to Epstein) or some goofy effort to prove he is using the presidency to get rich(er) or ….well, some other kind of elaborate delusion.
It is a bizarre world they live in – and they do seem to be taking it seriously: that we’re under some sort of Fascist dictatorship and they are the brave souls standing up to it. I had a ball yesterday. I think everyone outside the far Left did. It sounded like WW III outside my house last night after dark – and, sure, every year my neighbors eschew safe and sane and get fireworks from the reservation half an hour up the road…but this was thunderous and went on for two hours solid. Never heard it so loud…at times I had difficulty hearing Trump speak on the TV! I think that most Americans are feeling hopeful…perhaps for the first time in the aftermath of 9/11. A spirit of joy and hope is in the air.
Meanwhile, we actually had leftists this morning saying the fireworks in DC were “too big” and that there’s now too much air pollution in DC…
I have often made my own personal observation that most Democrats have a real desire to be moral, they just have a wildly distorted concept of what that means. This is why the main appeal by the Left has always been that it represents a shortcut to the Higher Moral Ground, and explains the smug (though delusional) conviction of Leftists that they are morally superior to the Invented Other they have been taught is the Right. That is why so many truly believe that opposing one man—Donald Trump—IS “the defining moral fight of our era.”
The idiocy of this is transparent and obvious, yet for some weird reason it is also the defining driver of American politics. And I think it is also the greatest victory of the Left in its history. That somehow this movement defined by failure in every one of its incarnations has still managed to take control of half of the population of the United States merely by creating and advancing the narrative that not only does one man represent everything that is wrong with this nation (and even the world) but that #RESISTANCE to HIM is proof of moral superiority and the most important political act possible.
Somewhere north of 150,000 Americans waited until 11 pm last night to see Trump. I don’t see a guy with 40% approval getting that kind of response. As per usual: maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m a downright fool. Could be. If the election goes badly against us in November, that will show it. But I am feeling pretty darn confident right now.
And, in case you haven’t noticed, none of our trolls are asking, “what good things are you talking about, Spook?” They know, and, more importantly, the American people know.
But they will continue to harass us with the Rogue Apostrophe. One might think/hope that someone who put enough energy into making this meme might have bothered to make it literate.

I have to admit that I have been enjoying soccer more than I thought I ever would … that being said. The game is slow and filled with drama and IMO that’s the reason it appeals so much to leftists and socialists.

The other very frustrating part is the fouling and the inconsistency of the calls. In this case with Balogun, that was clearly unintentional n he didn’t hurt the guy, and yet he got the red card. However earlier in the game, I saw one of our players actually tackle a guy and ….. no foul!! I don’t get it.
The drama is the best part though. When these guys go down, you would think they had been shot with multiple broken limbs … but alas, they are up a running in no time. LOL … Hilarious

I haven’t heard any comments on this, but—-European football matches have routinely been accompanied by rioting, at the stadium, as “hooligans” break out in violence at and even during the matches. Yet European players have played here, in spirited matches, without rioting and violence. In what the Euroweenie press has loved to call the most violent nation in the world.
