From the Daily Caller:
Much has been made of President Barack Obama’s repeated demonizing of corporate jets and the people who fly on them in his June 29th press conference.
While pundits and politicians haggle over whether alterations in the depreciation schedule of corporate jets will actually have an impact on the deficit, those in the general aviation trenches are furious.
Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPO) President Craig Fuller told The Daily Caller that Obama’s comments have cast a pall over the industry, causing many who were considering buying a plane to back away from making a purchase…
Here’s the thing – those corporate jets are built by blue collar workers, a large number of whom are union members. But, you see, Obama didn’t care about that. He doesn’t care that the airplane was invented in the United States. He doesn’t care that while the United States is still the predominant aerial nation, there is increasingly stiff competition out there. He doesn’t care that small and mid-sized aircraft businesses are dependent upon steady orders which could be harmed if prospective buyers are scared off by heated, Presidential rhetoric. He didn’t care about any of that – all he cared about was a talking point. A sound bite. A phrase which was undoubtedly poll-tested relentlessly before he ever uttered it – something he thought would give him leverage to get the debt ceiling raised in 2011 and himself re-elected in 2012. That was all – screw everyone: Obama needs more spending to payoff backers and need to get re-elected next year. Aircraft company worker with a wife and two kids to support? Well, **** you.
This is the kind of man Obama is. This is the way our liberals are. This is the Ruling Class at work – doing what it needs to do in order to retain personal power and wealth. You want this to continue? Then just go and vote for Obama next year – or, if you’re a GOPer, go and get all purist and say you won’t vote for Candidate X because he or she isn’t true-blue enough. As for me, I want him out – I want them out.
Perhaps the obAMATEUR should not have given incentives in the stimulus for the purchase of private and corporate jets.
He help expand a population that he now demonizes – typical liberal bs.
Aircraft company worker with a wife and two kids to support? Well, **** you.
Teacher with a wife and two kids to support? Well, **** you.
UAW member with a wife and two kids to support? Well, **** you.
Right, Mark? Don’t try to spin away from it now!
To simply put it Monty, you are nothing but a drama queen – fear mongering brought to you by the Democrat party.
In short, you are nothing but a mindless drone regurgitating dumbed down talking points.
Pathetic.
Hey, tired, cut “Monty” some slack!
After all, “he” IS agreeing with Mark, regarding the complete indifference of the entire Obama administration to the plight of ALL American workers!
Evidently it is sinking in, even into the hard-packed and usually impervious brains of the RRL foot soldiers, that even union workers will suffer when companies go under.
Good on you, Monty!
Have you made any progress on that evaluation of political systems to decide which one you think is the best way to govern the nation? Now that you are able to acknowledge the scope of damage done to our economy by the Left’s economic policies, have you started to see the advantages of the free market system and Constitutional governance?
Monty,
Teachers and UAW members will be better off under a free market that isn’t a political football…whats the matter? Are you that afraid of freedom?
You’re seriously going to try to pretend that you care about teachers and UAW members after spending months demonizing them, Mark? Pretty craven. At least stand by your statements. Is that too much to ask?
montypython
what a pantload from our latest forker.
MORE like UNION thugs/drones
F*** YOU business
F*** YOU America
F*** YOU taxpayer
I WANT it ALL and for YOU to pay for it.
well montypython F*** YOU!!
See, Mark? At least neocon is up front and open about his hatred of union members. You try to play both sides of the fence–bash them one second, pretend you care about them the next. It’s pathetic.
Obama is the most divisive president this country has ever had, and his annoying habit of demonizing those with money, and playing the class warfare card in an effort to foam up his base is transparent and childish.

Sorry Cluster, but that was G.W. Bush and remains G.W. Bush as the most devisive president. “Class Warfare” appears to be the new buzz words for the GOP and conservatives. Interesting that they are coming from middle class workers that are getting the short end of the stick from the GOP.
After what Senator Orin Hatch said yesterday, it appears that the poor and middle class need to be contributing more to fix the debt. I doubt that he would have a problem with taxing the middle class and poor more, but please do not tax those who can afford to buy that Gulfstream jet. By the way, CEOs are going to have that new aircfaft regardless of taxes or loss of subsidies – remember that the Wall Street bankers kept their names on the list for the new Gulfstream G650 during the bailout.
BOOSH! BOOSH! BOOSH!
Thank God we have a new troll chiming in—it’s been what, days? since one of the Loony Left tried to blame Bush for everything. (Hours? Minutes?)
But looky! Now the trolls are trying to redefine “Class Warfare”! They tried to redefine Christianity, claiming that Jesus was a socialist, and that didn’t work. They tried to redefine the Constitution, claiming it was a call to collectivism and that didn’t work. And now they seem, through mindless little mouthpiece frank, to be trying to redefine Class Warfare as not an effort to turn one economic class against another but—-well, that is not very clear.
Now THERE’S a surprise! A Lefty sock puppet struggling to make a point but floundering because he, like his fellow drones and dupes, has not based his antagonism toward all the thinks must represent the Right on anything as boring as IDEAS but merely on emotion, on how good he feels when one of his talking heads convinces him that his seething rage is not proof of a personality disorder but really (honestly, truly, trust me!) proof of political savvy. Kinda hard to spin that formless, incoherent, clueless and easily manipulated hysteria and dependence on irrational anger into something that makes sense, eh, frank?
So now “Class Warfare” is, uh, well, ah, something about the middle class, uh, ah, no, that’s not it, uh, something “coming FROM the middle class, yeah, that’s the ticket! Or something like that, maybe.
Come back soon, frank. We all need a good laugh.
franklymydork
UNION CEO’s have no corporate jets from the money they STEAL and produce nothing for?
Riiiiiight Moron!
Whoah, speaking of drama queens, here’s Cluster.
That Amaazona is kind of a nasty spirited person. I guess only she has the real answers. Must be lovely to live with her – my or the highway and only her ideas count.
Gee, frank, was there an idea anywhere in your post? All I saw was stereotyping, snarling, and regurgitation of tired old Left talking points.
But hey, if you want to talk about IDEAS, let’s do it! I have been trying to talk about ideas with the Lefties here for more than five years.
So, what is YOUR idea about the best political system for governing the United States? Have you studied the two opposing systems, looked at their ideologies and examined the effectiveness of each system when it has been applied? Surely you have, and have ideas of your own to offer, or you would not have complained that I believe only my ideas “count”. So?
What is your defense of your chosen system? What is it about either the collectivist model or the Constitutional model that you think—-THINK, not FEEL— will provide the most likely path to personal liberty and economic prosperity?
What do you believe is the role of the federal government in the governance of the nation? How about the relative role of state governments? Local?
BTW, I am quite willing, and able, to answer each of these questions regarding my own political philosophy.
Another BTW: I am far from being a “nasty spirited person”. I just have a very low tolerance for foolishness and people who posture as political commentators but who have not shown a hint of political awareness. I don’t insist that people agree with me, but also have no respect at all for people who simply hurl insults and recycle hate-based nonsense but who can’t be bothered to actually learn about the system they support and enable through their attacks. If this describes you, then naturally you will have to dismiss my evaluation of you as a political commentator as nastiness.
Golly gee Amazona, I doubt that you would be the least bit interested in my ideas. You appear to be so entrenched in your own philosophy that I doubt you ability to have an open mind to ideas that differ from yours. So, why waste your time. You might want to reflect on your first sentence regarding stereotyping, snarling and regurgitation of tired talking points. This might just surprise you, but I suspect there are some who believe you do the same with tired old Right talking points. And seriously, Amazona, you really are a “nasty spirited person.” Just go back and re-read some of your posts. Have a super day.
Amazona is known as the blog man-woman.
“She” claims to be a woman, but I bet she isn’t.
It’s sad, “she” was even accused of stalking and that’s kind of scary. Just the other day she posted something about another poster and how she knew about his sex life.
Scary if you ask me the kind of people who post on this blog sometimes.
I’m sorry, but invading another’s personal life goes too far on this or any other blog. That just indicdates to me that anyone who had the need to stalk another poster does not have a life of their own.
Golly gee Amazona, I doubt that you would be the least bit interested in my ideas.
Frankly,
I’d be genuinely interested in hearing your ideas, I’m a very nice person and exceptionally tolerant of other points of view.

I’d like to hear your ideas to franklymystooge, but I hate trolls and lefty commie marxists.
Im not nearly as nice as Spook, glad to see you and tommygasbag bonding so well and fast.
