    What?!?

    The national media is lying?

This shows you the intelligence of those drones that listen/watch Ed Shultz. Ed Shultz has been caught in so many lies it is ridiculous.

The national media wing of the Democratic Party will pull out all the stops to keep what power they have – Goebbels never had is so good.

‘Open Season’: Union Removes Controversial Message Calling for ‘Torture’ of Verizon Managers

Unions representing Verizon workers have appeared to upped the ante on what was already been a heated dispute between labor and management.

Forty-five thousand Verizon workers from Massachusetts to Virginia went on strike earlier this month after the contract for the company’s wireline division ended August 6. Workers are in protest to management asking for changes in the contract to strengthen the wireline business which has been in decline for more than a decade. Now some think one Brooklyn CWA post has possibly crossed the line calling for, among other things, torture:

I agree tired. I know that FOX news would NEVER edit anything to make points, right?

(BTW – I believe Schultz apologized for the editing. And shame on him!)

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 1:33 pm

So after Schultz got caught editing a comment to make the person look vicious and racist, then he apologized.

        Gee, what a guy!

Do you think he would have come out on his own and admitted what he did and apologized then if he was not caught?

Do you think this is the first time he has ever done something like this? Isn’t it reasonable to suspect that this is what he does to get the quotes he wants, to use on his show?

Can you point out examples of Fox editing anything to change its meaning?

      • Green Mountain Boy August 17, 2011 / 3:50 pm

Do you have any evidence of Fox News doing this? I mean, after all, people like you keep telling us how smart you are. How could those rubes ever fool anyone like you?

Sunny, I am new here. Is this your pattern, to insult and then refuse to answer questions. What does Sean Hannity have to do with what Schultz did? What Sean Hannity “would” do? Do you always just invent things you can be mad about and duck the questions posed for you?

Obama wanrs Perry … and Syria

It is more expedient and safer for Obama and Clinton to build a stronger international outcry against Assad than to actually do anything. By safer I mean that his ratings will take a straight line drop if he gets us into another messy spot right now. Libya is still going on and Obama cannot take the pressure of getting into another war, particularly after having lambasted Bush for doing that. I also do not believe that Obama will do anything until the Organization of Islamic Countries tells the UN to get America into the game.

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 1:22 pm

What is your source for claiming that the vaccine has caused deaths? Severe side effects? Please give us the actual facts and figures.

Do you understand that Governor Perry only signed the executive order making the vaccine mandatory to force insurance companies to pay for it? Do you understand that any parent had the right to opt out of the program by just filing an affidavit, but that the goal was to make the expensive vaccine available under insurance plans?

Do you object to that? Does it matter to you that the executive order would not have really forced any girl to get the vaccine but would have made it possible for many others to afford it?

Why do you say this is the guy who forced all the families in Texas to give their daughters this Guardasill shot when this is not true?

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 1:24 pm

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 10:50 pm

JS, when people do not make sense the best way to sort out what they are saying is to ask questions. I did some reading on Rick Perry and it made sense that he made his executive order to make this vaccine not optional so insurance companies would have to pay for it and then made it possible to opt out of having girls vaccinated by allowing parents to file a simple affidavit that they did not want to use the vaccine. Your comment made it sound like you did not understand this. Your comment said Perry was forcing girls to have the vaccine. Your comment made it sound as if you think there was some sort of deal between Perry and Merck.

If this is not what you meant then maybe you could be more clear. If it is what you meant then you are wrong. I was only trying to clear up some muddled up comments. I am sorry my questions made you so mad. Maybe you don’t like having your statements challenged?

      • Luckee August 18, 2011 / 12:27 am

I understand why Perry thought he was doing the right thing. I understand that he was trying to make this vaccine available to people whose insurance companies refused to pay for it because it was optional. I understand that he tried to make it not optional to avoid this loop hole.

I understand that it was probably a rash decision because it did over reach government authority. I understand he admitted this. Now if a poor family wants the vaccine they will have to find another way to pay the more than $300 to buy it because their insurance company will not pay for it. Too bad I guess. I guess this is better than having a situation where insurance companies will pay and parents can opt out by just putting it in writing. What Malkin called a bogus opt out. Why is it bogus?

There is a big difference between making a mistake in trying to do too much to help people and being crooked or dishonest or uncaring if people live or die. Malkin admitted the long term or adverse reactions to the vaccine are not known. This is a big difference from causing deaths. Or severe side effects.

I think it is fine to disagree with the decision Perry made. I think it is ugly to accuse him of dishonesty or indifference to the health or welfare of the girls of Texas when there is no evidence this is true.

    Go Figure:

Poll: Tea Party Less Popular Than Muslims, Atheists, 21 Other Groups | The debt ceiling deal has left the Tea Party more disliked than ever, as a recent New York Times poll shows. In April, 2010, 21 percent of Americans approved of the Tea Party while 18 percent disapproved of it. Now, 20 percent approve while a stunning 40 percent disapprove of it. Ironically, the conservative movement is now more unpopular than two often-marginalized groups it sometimes rails against — Muslims and atheists — and is the least popular of the 23 groups the poll asked about:

The Tea Party ranks lower than any of the 23 other groups we asked about — lower than both Republicans and Democrats. It is even less popular than much maligned groups like “atheists” and “Muslims.” Interestingly, one group that approaches it in unpopularity is the Christian Right.

What don’t you like about the Tea Party, Sunny?

What do they stand for that you object to?

How do you define the Tea Party?

What do you dislike about the Christian Right? Are all Christians on the Right? What about the Christian Left? Are you lining up Christians on the Right side of the aisle and non-Christians on the Left?

      • thomasg0102 August 17, 2011 / 3:02 pm

What don’t you like about the Tea Party, Sunny?

I’ll answer this one for you….how about everything. They stand for everything that is wrong with this country. Veiled racism, ignorance, and a complete lack of understanding of how a nation should be run. Where were they during the other administrations?

What do they stand for that you object to?

How about their refusal to raise taxes on anyone….including the ones making over one million dollars. How about their insistence that the nation was founded should not have separation of church and state. You want me to go on?

How do you define the Tea Party?

Dumb question. However the tea party defines itself is how I view an define them.

What do you dislike about the Christian Right? Are all Christians on the Right? What about the Christian Left? Are you lining up Christians on the Right side of the aisle and non-Christians on the Left?

This is a stupid question again. Most conservatives are Christian, or evangelical Christians of some sort. I don’t really care what religion you are or aren’t. I you are on the right, you are wrong. Period.

      • Sunny August 17, 2011 / 5:06 pm

Frankly, I do not like anything about the Tea Party. I think they are a radical group. Does that answer your questions?

As a Christian I find the Christian right to be hycrotical. They are the ones setting in the front pew of the church on Sunday morning and being very unChristian the rest of the week. They are the ones who give Christianity a bad name.

Church and State? A “Radical” group? Dont they read the New York Times? Tea Party Avoids Divisive Social Issues

I think theyre just about as ignorant as any contrarian prairie dog I ever met.

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 6:47 pm

Thomas, your response shows complete ignorance of what the Tea Party is and stands for, so your objections to the movement are completely bogus and immaterial.

They stand for running this country according to its constitution. They believe that the country did very well when this is how it was run, and that once the constitution started to be ignored the country started to run into problems.

Why do you find it offensive to want to run the country according to the laws established to govern, or run, the country?

When people prove they have a better understanding of the laws of the nation and its constitution than you do, it is pretty funny to see you call them ignorant.

Veiled racism? No one has stepped up to collect the reward offered for proof of racism in the movement. That’s a lot of money. Surely if there was proof someone would be eager to collect it. There are claims of racism in the movement but they are false and never proven. It is a smear campaign, just like calling them terrorists.

Discrimination is supposed to be a bad thing but the left wants to discriminate against some people based on their income. Why is that supposed to be ok? You seem to want this money to use to do things the constitution does not allow the federal government to do. Why do you think we should ignore the constitution and the 10th amendment and just discriminate based on class so the federal government will have more money to do what the constitution does not allow it to do?

There is not one Tea Party member who will object to the constitutional law that says the federal government cannot establish any religion. Those who try to claim that the constitution forbids acknowledging religion by the government are the ones who are ignorant. You can find this out yourself by reading the constitution and the letters and writings of the people who wrote it.

And you are the one trying to bring religion into politics. You are the one who is trying to make religion a test for political office, saying if you are both a Christian and a conservative you should not be allowed to be president or even have power in this country.

Again, the constitution does not allow a religious test for political office. This is the kind of separation of church and state the founding fathers wanted, not some law against recognizing and respecting religion.

Everything you said is wrong, completely wrong, and very obviously fueled by a lot of hate and anger.

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 6:53 pm

Sunny, you should define radical. Is it radical to ignore the constitution and just do what one party wants even if it is plainly forbidden by the bill of rights? Is it radical to want to follow the laws of the land and the constitution?

You seem to be inventing a strange illusion of conservative Christians which you seem to feel justified in hating. You call this invented group of people hypocrites. Does your church tell you to judge other people? What about you is so special and holy that you are qualified to pass judgment on what is and what is not real Christianity? And who says Christians have a bad name? The only place I know they have a bad name is on the left where they are lied about and vilified and smeared for political reasons.

You are obviously very angry and full of hatred. Is that Christian?

  6. Majordomo Pain August 17, 2011 / 1:01 pm

Neocon, We would like your opinion of this from the Christian Science Monitor:

“Whether Governor Perry, as a presidential candidate, will continue courting Muslims – and whether that is a liability for Perry in the current Islam-leery climate – remains to be seen.

An evangelical Christian and self-described social conservative who recently led a Christian prayer rally in Texas, Perry has had a surprisingly warm relationship with Muslims as governor, says Mohamed Elbiary, founder of the Freedom and Justice Foundation, a Muslim public policy organization in Texas.

“We’ve seen him for 20 years at state level, as lieutenant governor and state governor,” Mr. Elbiary says. “Throughout that whole history, he’s never taken an anti-Muslim or anti-Islam position. He’s a live-and-let-live type of Texan, and relations have been good.”

In fact, Perry’s relations with Ismailis, a Shia sect of Islam whose adherents number between 30,000 and 40,000 in Texas, have been particularly positive, says Mahmoud Eboo, President of the Ismaili Council for the USA.

“I believe that Governor Perry’s leadership philosophy has been to serve Texans of all races and religions and his relationship with the Muslim community generally and the Ismaili community in particular has been cordial and respectful,” Mr. Eboo says in an email.

In 2008, Perry helped expand the Muslim Histories and Culture Project, a teacher-training program spearheaded by Texas Ismailis that introduces Islamic history and culture curricula into Texas schools.

“I have supported this program from the very beginning, because we must bridge the gap of understanding between East and West if we ever hope to experience a future of peace and prosperity,” Perry said at the signing ceremony.”

    • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 1:17 pm

I am confused. Do you condemn Governor Perry for his relationship with Muslims or do you approve of it?

Will your opinion be changed by hearing what Neo has to say about it?

Do you think it is a bad thing? Do you think it should disqualify him for the presidency? Do you think it is more or less favorable to Islam than Obama’s?

      • Majordomo Pain August 17, 2011 / 1:38 pm

We actually approve of Governor Perry’s relationship with Aga Khan, especially his willingness to have Muslim studies included in Texas public schools.

The question remains if the GOP base and the TEA Party will be able to make the distinctions between Ismailis and al Qaeda and continue to support a candidate with such clear and deep ties to Islam.

      • Luckee August 18, 2011 / 12:30 am

Cordial and respectful is now the same as deep ties? Clear and deep ties?

Don’t get me wrong; if I were Iranian I’d be ashamed too. A civilization that hasn’t moved passed the Third Century, a populace mired in corruption and ignorance, unlike the better educated & middle-class Iraqis.

but you should have picked The Netherlands instead of Germany since you don’t speak a lick of German. By the way, is it Dutch or Fries that you speak?

I speak Hellic, it’s really more of a dialect than a language. Remember when we were in Fourth Grade and we made up languages so the teacher wouldn’t know what we were saying? It’s kinda like that.

      • thomasg0102 August 17, 2011 / 7:21 pm

        Luckee,

kooks are those GOPers who think that Obama’s BC was a fake (Neo). The ones who think raising taxes under NO circumstance is good (Green, Mark). those who think supporting Israel no matter what is the right thing to do for OUR interests (Green, tiredoffacts).

Kooks are also those who were what we in the sane world call “birthers”. the people who didn’t believe Obama is a natural born citizen or born in the US period.

Kooks are also those who cry against socialism, but then are on medicare and social security (Neo, Spook).

Kooks are also those who believe that the economy will collapse even though there is no credible reason to believe so. Kooks are the ones who believe the gold standard (which failed and was abandoned) is the way to go now..(mark, spook).

You want me to go on? Kooks are on both sides, GOP and Liberals. It’s just scary how much influence they have in the GOP as compared to the Democratic party.

I’d say you have a pretty good definition there buddy.

Now tell us…what do you think about all the points I made…

      • thomasg0102 August 17, 2011 / 7:52 pm

        Luckee,

Here you have 2 kinds of kooks. One who doesn’t think raising taxes ever is a necessity.

And another who thinks he knows who people are without evidence…..

Don’t say I didn’t give you any examples

      • Luckee August 17, 2011 / 10:56 pm

I just think your examples are silly and proof of your bias and not of facts. For example I have seen the word birther applied to people who think Obama was born in the United States, what kind of meaning does this word have? It seems to just be a simple word simple people can use to make simple insults .

I think anyone who does not want a leftist form of government is going to be called a kook and worse by you because this is what you think is best for the country. It is a very narrow and simple point of view. Can you explain it? Are you in favor of passing amendments to make your wishes legal or just ignoring the constitution?

  8. Cluster August 17, 2011 / 4:47 pm

Thomas, the tea parties are mainly comprised of fiscal conservatives, who are very concerned about the size and scope of the current federal government, which took over 20 years now to grow to, hence their non-existence in the last ten years. It has become obvious that the federal government is on an unsustainable financial trajectory, and now is the time to make changes. We are all about the federal government governing within the powers enumerated to it by the constitution, and leaving all other powers to the states. We are also not at all objectionable to raising revenue, but would prefer it is down via a flat tax, closing loop holes, and through more robust economic vitality.

Also, by granting more powers to the states, government can be more targeted, helping those who are truly in need with more effectiveness and efficiency. It may be a foreign concept to you, but that is what it is all about. The reason we don’t want to raise taxes now, is because that will accomplish nothing. We need tax reform, not tax increases.

Communist Party USA Reveals: We’re Using the Democrat Party

Not too awful long ago I wrote about the Communist Party USA and their support for many of the identical principles endorsed by the Democrat Party here in the US. I listed the various similarities but now I have some even more honest words from the Communists themselves. Joe Sims, co-editor of the Communist Party USA online magazine Peoples World states among other things “the possibility that the communists may be able to “capture’ the Democratic Party entirely.” Read that slowly and carefully…”the possibility that the communists may be able to “capture’ the Democratic Party entirely.”

Joe Sims is a proud little Commie. He goes on to brag that among other things, “heightened class and democratic struggle…all have combined to produce an unprecedented situation – and opportunity.” How long have I been railing on against this Democrat Party effort to frame the current political debate as one of class? Clearly even the ones seeking to wage this struggle freely admit that is their effort and how said effort is an “opportunity” for them? “
