I was once asked what would have been the response to 9-11 had Algore been elected.

I said that the Algore Administration would have issued an apology to the Muslim World before the second plane hit the WTC.

That was a joke; funny how events finally caught up to my humor as the Obama Administration apologizes before the Embassy and the Consulate were breached, and before an ambassador was murdered.

I could not have predicted that the Administration would issue an apology, watch the carnage, then want a do-over on that apology.

And to continue to be defended by a sycophantic media, who aims their scorn at the challenger for rightly pointing out that there is never a time that we should apologize for our first amendment rights.

      It is surreal.

Rush is reporting that Mitt will now start receiving the Daily Presidential Security Briefings.

“No word on when Obama will start receiving them.”

Nor could I have predicted the Administration would issue an apology, then remain silent until the Republican candidate made the correct assessment of the stupidity of that apology, then want a do-over and condemn the Republican candidate for the correct response.

    Along with his re-election prospects.

    Gas prices nearing $4 gallon

We’ve been at $4 for a week. How many middle and lower middle class voters who are still employed and drive any distance to and from work are anxious for 4 more years of this?

I work in a place where we provide retail credit…we’ve been dead as a doornail for more than a month, now. It is even slower than it was at the worst part of the last recession.

Sit with me on the Golden State Freeway heading into LA during rush hour on any given morning and I’ll point out thousands of them with O bumper stickers.

Dumb as a bag o’ rocks, the lot of em’!

Mr. Spook Sir, your thoughts please on why this administration is using up lots of rubber bullets at our embassies against Islamic extremists and on the Mexican border with drug cartels and elsewhere……while making mass purchases of lethal hollow point ammo?

It’s been a while since I’ve been called “Sir”, Shawny, and I can’t recall ever being called “Mr.” Spook before. Just Spook or RS is fine.

In answer to your question, logic, as well as (as Neo notes) a knowledge of recent history would seem to indicate that they’re saving the good stuff for the people they really hate and fear: us. I hope I’m wrong.

When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.

Thanks Spook and Neocon1 for your replies. I think by now that is the only logical conclusion American citizens can come to though I have been working on trying to find someone, anyone in leadership to refute it. No one has but then striking fear or helplessness in the heart of the populace works in favor of anyone wishing to control. I also suspect that the Muslim uprisings may be a distraction from the planned main event. Strike enough fear and like after 9/11 people foolishly throwing down their liberties begging for protection. Now there is much less, no, security at all and people must realize that it is their responsibility to protect and defend themselves. To do that they need to know their enemy.
