Being There

A few weeks ago I wrote a post entitle “A Rudderless Ship” and received quite a bit of heat from my conservative colleagues. Their contention is that Obama is at the helm, overseeing the destruction of our nation and doing so with clear intent. I continue to respectively disagree. I don’t disagree that the nation is in decline as that fact is obvious, but what I do disagree with is that Obama is at the helm. He clearly is not. Let’s take a few examples:

–         Benghazi – Obama was last spoken to and informed at 5pm the night of the raid, and was not heard from again until the next morning. His instruction was to “do what you have to do” and then he disappeared into the night.

–         Obamacare – Nancy Pelosi, the Congressional Democratic leadership, the Unions and a myriad of other special interests wrote the Affordable Care Act without as much as a vague outline from the President. In fact, the bill was so piecemealed together, that we had to “pass it to find out what was in it”, and what we are finding out is not good. I highly doubt that to this day, Obama has even read the entire bill.

–         Immigration – after vigorously campaigning on this issue back in 2008, and again in 2012, Obama has all but abandoned any concerted effort to get something passed. In fact Marco Rubio has done more work on immigration in the last few months than Obama has in the last 5 years.

Obama is a complete disgrace as a leader and as a President, preferring instead to demagogue and fund raise rather to actually do the heavy lifting of governing. Unfortunately, we have too many emotionally stunted low information voters in this country that confuse his style of divisive and emotional oratory with leadership. He reminds me of Peter Sellers character Chauncey in the movie Being There, and is as intelligent as well. He also proves the Rush Theorem on a daily basis. I hope that someday a leader for this country will emerge out of the dark abyss that is the Obama regime.

For what it’s worth, I’ve never believed that Obama was in charge. I’m not totally certain that he’s even smart enough to realize what’s going on. I think he’s just playing a part and reading a script. Ideologically he may be on the same page as his handlers, but someone else is calling the shots — and not doing a very good job of it, I might add.

        Who Is Barack Obama?

Obama’s early training began with his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, herself a leftist who married*** a communist Muslim***, Barack Obama, Sr., whom she admired greatly (and met in a Russian language class).

She moved on to Obama’s stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, ***an Indonesian Muslim,*** whom she divorced when he espoused an appreciation for capitalism and openly rejected communism.

Stanley Ann sent Obama back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents to get him away from Soetoro’s influence. His grandparents, leftists to the core, put him in Punahou School, which was a hotbed of anti-colonialism and anti-Americanism.

Obama’s grandfather introduced him to Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party, who for ten years acted as Obama’s mentor. They were very close, as close as father and son. Obama called him “Pops” or “Frank.” The FBI labeled Davis as a radical communist agitator who was “anti-white.”
This is the man who mentored Obama through most of his formative years.
Barack Obama was a fully committed communist revolutionary before he left high school.

Obama’s political ambitions have been endorsed by the New Party, The Socialist Party USA (Workers of the World Unite), the Communist Party USA, and of course, the de-facto socialist party of America, the Democratic Party. There is no real secret about where Obama comes from or where he wants to take us. Never in the history of our nation have we had such a powerful leader whose entire life has been so thoroughly steeped in socialist revolution and communist ideology, and who has so openly advocated such anti-American ideas.

Barack Obama’s life’s work has always been to bring about socialist revolution in the United States. He seeks “social justice” to redress the grievances of the oppressed peoples of color — not because “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Obama’s primary motivational drivers are socialist ideology and racialism.

The answer to the question “Who is Barack Obama and what is he up to?” is really quite clear:

Barack Hussein Obama is a radical socialist revolutionary, and his mission is to transform the United States of America into a socialist state.

        He must be stopped.

Meanwhile, Obama was, according to the memoirs written for him by Bill Ayres raised and mentored by communists, gravitated to communists as an adult, and has a clear history of communist and socialist leanings.

Did Obama break the law smoking marijuana? Yes, as well as laws regarding his admitted use of other drugs. Bush was not nor his he now an alcoholic. Alcohol consumption is not illegal, the drugs were in California and Hawaii. these actions alone constitute misbehavior or, as the authors’ of the Constitution would have said misdemeanor which should have caused the sycophantic left some concern that he has neither the temperament nor character to serve the public interest. A very real “consequence to his ability to be (p)resident”.

Soon, all the good useful idiots will begin to claim they never supported Obama and they knew all along he was corrupt, simple-minded and in over his head.

We all know that Hillary “what difference does it make” Clinton was derelict in duty in regards to Benghazi, and where it reaches Obama is here. From Wednesday’s congressional hearings, two “stand down” orders were given to the reinforcements in Tripoli, so the question is – who gave those orders? Obama is the CIC and is the only one responsible to give those orders. If he did not issue those orders, than who did and on what authority?

Keep in mind, this is an area where Obama recently claimed credit for deposing the dictator and establishing order, and an incident that happened on the anniversary of Sept. 11. Yet no one in the Obama regime had the foresight to secure the embassy or even read the cables from the newly positioned Ambassador. Furthermore, press releases from the military were scrubbed and revised by the State Dept. and someone sent Rice out to blame the YouTube video, Even Clinton told the father of one of the slain victims that the make of the video would be punished.

Of all the failures of the Obama regime, and there are many, this is definitely the most egregious.

BOMBSHELL: Was the downing of SEAL Team 6’s CH-47 helicopter an inside job?
        May 10, 2013 |

Fox News’ Megan Kelly interviewed the parents of SEAL Team 6 member Aaron Vaughn who perished in the tragic crash of a CH-47 helicopter on August 06 2011 in Afghanistan.

During this interview the Vaughs stated that this crash was a direct result of traitorous rules of engagement ordered by the Obama administration that have consistently proven deadly to our troops

Obama’s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was recruited by the Communist Party to help spread its propaganda to influence public opinion in America. Davis joined The Chicago Star where he was a colleague of journalist Vernon Jarrett, father-in-law of Obama’s close friend and confidant and PRESIDENTIAL ADVISER!! ****Valerie Jarrett.******
Davis also taught at Chicago’s Abraham Lincoln School, a Communist run training school run by CPUSA.

        Hate breeds hate.

Hatred has long been a central pillar of leftist ideologies, premised as they are on trampling individual rights for the sake of a collectivist plan. Karl Marx boasted that he was “the greatest hater of the so-called positive.” In 1923, V.I. Lenin chillingly declared to the Soviet Commissars of Education, “We must teach our children to hate. Hatred is the basis of communism.” In his tract “Left-Wing Communism,” Lenin went so far as to assert that hatred was “the basis of every socialist and Communist movement.”

After years of being at Marshall’s knee, Barack Obama chose Michelle, who openly voiced her “frustration and disappointment” with America, to be his wife. But the first woman in Obama’s life, his mother Anne Dunham, was so consumed with anti-American hatred that she fled America to seek companionship with men who shared her views.

Can we not elevate the discussion on this blog? Can we not discuss current events and keep the discussion centered on the issues? Must we time and time again, resort to the very tiring rhetoric of socialism/communism/Marxism/birtherism, etc., etc. Honestly after nearly five years now of posting the same shit day after day, I would think one would get tired of it.

    • mitchethekid May 10, 2013 / 7:52 pm

I’m very tired of it. Get rid of it once and for all. It has no place on a blog about ideas. I mean, what’s the guy trying to prove and to whom?

    • watsonthethird May 10, 2013 / 8:30 pm

Well, there’s one individual in particular who drags every comment thread into the gutter and is responsible for about half the total comments posted here. Get rid of him and this place would clean up pretty nicely.

Since the moderators are so sensitive to everyday language, I will abbreviate. No S Sherlock. As long as they associate with him, the blog will be entrenched in the gutter of birtherism. • Amazona May 11, 2013 / 10:08 am

Well, mitche, it’s impossible to take you seriously when you constantly return to your vomit, such as your passion for the absurd term “birther” in its many forms.

You have been repeatedly challenged to define it, and you scurry away from specifics, being much more comfortable with just hurling what you seem to think are insults without ever explaining what they mean.

Here is what we have been able to glean about the meaning of the term “birther”.

!. Someone willing to look into the claims that Obama was born in Kenya, given the evidence and comments from Obama, his wife, the president of Kenya, his grandmother, etc. that this is what happened.

        2. Someone who believes the Constitutional requirement for being a “natural born citizen” is important, and who wants every single presidential candidate to be vetted regarding this requirement.

        3. Someone who wants the term to be formally and legally defined, given the confusion about its meaning.

        4. Someone who thinks he was probably born in Hawaii but thinks his father’s citizenship status might affect his own (see # 2)

        5. Someone who has done enough research into the origins and intent of the Certificate of Live Birth to understand that (no matter to whom it applies) it is not a birth certificate and it is not de facto proof of birth in Hawaii, as its original intent was to provide proof of Hawaiian residency for people born out of the state. To determine its intent now, one must refer back to its origin, which would either be a long form birth certificate on file or an application by or for someone who was born out of state to Hawaiian residents.

        6. Someone who believes that official state records should not be forged or altered, and who believes that any evidence of such should be thoroughly investigated.

        7. Someone who thinks that thorough vetting should apply to any candidate, and should include # 2-6.

        8. Someone who believes that the same standards must be applied to every candidate, no matter which party affiliation may be involved.

In other words, 6 of the 8 definitions of “birther” have nothing whatsoever to do with Barack Obama, but merely with respect for the Constitution and belief that its requirements must be fairly and evenly applied. And the 2 which do refer to him merely want objective legal analysis of the facts, not blind acceptance of dubious documents or denial of the dual nature of documents.

In this vein, I have made many many comments about wanting the term “natural born citizen” carefully examined by whatever legal authority should do so, and wanting it clearly and legally defined, as my understanding of the term would eliminate two of my favorite conservatives, Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal, from the presidency. (This would not apply to someone born outside the US to an adult female citizen who had met residency requirements, whose father was also a citizen at the time of his or her birth.)

My preference would be that it not demand that the father of the child be a citizen at the time of his birth, and that it merely cover the kind of citizenship conveyed by being born on US soil, but as I am a Constitutional Conservative I will accept any ruling even if it disqualifies people I think would be excellent presidents.

I think the evidence that “natural born citizen” meant, at the time it was used by the Founders, only omeone whose father was a citizen at the time of his birth, is quite compelling. I think it is compelling enough to demand extensive legal review and a formal legal opinion. I would be willing to stipulate that no finding could affect the status of Barack Obama, so the Lefty hand-wringers and squealers could calm down and quit hyperventilating, as at this point the only ones likely to be affected are not only conservatives but conservatives who pose a serious threat to future Dem presidential aspirations.

And finally, the last definition of “birther”—-Someone who believes Barack Obama was born.

      • Amazona May 11, 2013 / 10:10 am

mitche, we have figured out that smut and filth are, in fact, YOUR “everyday language”. But that’s just you. Thankfully, your standards, or lack of same, are not those of this blog, though they do explain your affinity for and acceptance at the fork.

      • rustybrown2012 May 11, 2013 / 7:02 pm

By all means keep advocating for using precious time and resources to resolve this pressing “natural born citizen” issue; meanwhile, the other 99% of Americans will issue a collective yawn and eye roll while we try to address the real problems facing our country. Mention this at every hoedown that you attend, and thank you for ensuring a presidential victory for Hillary!

      • Cluster May 11, 2013 / 7:31 pm

As we go forward, resolving the issue of birth as it qualifies one for POTUS, will be an increasingly important issue. In fact in 2016 I suspect Marco Rubio will want to run and these same questions will arise, so it’s important to resolve them. Thankfully our country has people with vision and principles like Amazona, rather than emotional knee jerk sycophants like yourself.

      • rustybrown2012 May 11, 2013 / 7:50 pm

Oh yeah, ama is all “vision and principles” and not “knee jerk” on this issue. Funny, do you recall her prescient vision on the importance of this issue at any time before Obama took office? No? Me either!

      • tiredoflibbs May 11, 2013 / 9:30 pm

Crusty: “meanwhile, the other 99% of Americans will issue a collective yawn and eye roll while we try to address the real problems facing our country.”

Oh yeah, like gay marriage, gun control and blanket amnesty – that is all obAMATEUR has been campaigning on. The real issues such as the pitiful economy, high unemployment (the real number of Americans out of work and not the only ones drawing unemployment), highest welfare and food stamp usage, etc. etc., he doesn’t even touch.

      • Cluster May 11, 2013 / 9:59 pm

This issue never really surfaced before Obama, but it will as we go forward.
