Everyone has to die. I think all of us go through periods where we wonder why we bother living, at all. Most of us get over it – some don’t, and we have seen the results today. We also saw in Charles Krauthammer the other side of the picture: if there’s anyone who was justified in wallowing in self pity and perhaps eventually deciding to end it all, it was him…but, he never did: and now that he’s facing a known end in just a few weeks, he’s carrying on with grace and courage. I also recall a lady I worked with – dead about ten years now – who was also wheelchair-bound and in really bad shape…but, she kept working, even though she didn’t have to, and was always bright and cheerful. I’ve never known anyone personally who committed suicide, so I don’t really know what that whole situation is like…but it just strikes me as so odd. I can see it, but I don’t really understand it…after all, even the worst day has air to breath, people to see, things to think about and read.
As were were very correctly doing tributes to the heroes of Normandy, it once again occurred to me what a bad general Eisenhower was. The bottom line was that the allied material superiority was so great by the start of 1944 that there was no practical chance of the Germans stopping us – at best, they could slow us down; but the end was inevitable. Choosing Normandy over Calais was a mistake – sure, Calais was better defended, but not that much better…and Normandy only lead to Paris, while Calais lead straight into the heart of Germany…a sort of reverse of what the Germans did in 1940. Add in things like getting caught with his pants down in the Battle of the Bulge, and I get a picture of man who lucked out in being supreme commander of an army which couldn’t lose, and so gained glory he never really earned.
Soros backed a bunch of District Attorney candidates in California and they didn’t fare too well. The larger picture I see is Democrats simply not getting the votes or the money they need to win big in November. Lots of time between now and then, but absent something horribly bad going wrong for Trump or the nation, I’m expecting November to be at worst a draw in the House and a win in the Senate for the GOP…with a slight chance of a mini-red wave showing up.
More to that: California Democrats are pushing a tax break for illegal immigrants. We know how liberal California is…but there has to be a breaking point. Some point where even Californians go, “this is nuts: I’ll vote Republican”. That point may be closer than we suspect.
Trump says he’s willing to back a law which will make the Feds obey state marijuana laws. I’ve long figured the War on Drugs was lost…don’t like it, but the ultimate source of the drug problem isn’t that drugs exist, but that people lack the moral strength to refuse the temptation. Even with that, though, I’d agree to keep them illegal if the attempts to catch drug dealers hadn’t created a surveillance State where we, the people, are watched in all our doings on the theory that one of us may one day decide to become a drug lord. End it – spend the money on treatment.
Iran appears to admit they facilitated the travel of some of the 9/11 conspirators.
There are more job-openings than job-seekers in America. TruCon Muh Principles solution: import more foreigners! Actual Conservative solution: hey, maybe pay the workers a little more.
God Bless Charles Krauthammer. One of my absolute favorites.
On the other hand, deep state Ralph Peters …… is SCUM
“I think they’re doing a great deal of damage still. We won’t know how bad for years to come when we see the ultimate result. But, Anderson, for years, I was glad to be associated with Fox. It was a legitimate conservative and libertarian outlet, and a necessary one. But with the rise of Donald Trump, Fox did become a destructive propaganda machine and I don’t do propaganda for anyone. And, frankly, you know, as a former military officer, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. And I saw in my view, Fox, particularly the prime time hosts, attacking our constitutional order, the rule of law, the Justice Department, the FBI, Robert Mueller, and oh by the way, the intelligence agencies. And they are doing it for ratings and profit. And they’re doing it knowingly, in my view, doing a great grave disservice to our country.”
Peters believes that people like him should NEVER be questioned because I guess their intentions are pure??? And Peters doesn’t believe in propaganda – and he said that on CNN …. hahahahahaha
What these failed state operatives fail to realize is that Trump and Fox are not responsible for what is happening. It’s people like me and all of us, who are now directing the course of our nation and leaving people like Peters behind. Adios asshole.
I pretty much quit watching any political show anywhere when they became clones of each other—a couple of people screaming at each other, trying to talk over each other, for three minutes before the next shouting match came on. So I don’t know if Fox changed. But I doubt it.
I don’t know what it is about Trump, but he is a lightning rod for blind, irrational, overwhelming, all-consuming hatred that it is changing peoples’ lives. They literally cannot see anything else. Trump could whip off his shirt and launch himself into the air to single-handedly catch a failing jet liner and carry it and its passengers to safety, and they would deny it and continue to hate on him. But the thing I have noticed about the Trump haters is that their hatred is so profound that it is also directed at anyone who does not share it. Every negative characteristic they apply to Trump is also applied to anyone who doesn’t join the howling mob of Trump loathers.
So to them, Trump was not elected by a lot of people who, while mistaken, still just wanted the best president they could get from the choices they had. No, anyone who voted for Trump committed treason, is white supremacist racist scum, is a Trump Humper, is a Trumpkin, is as immoral as he is because he is “defending” whatever sin the hater has identified, and so on. They are maligning millions of people, claiming they are just as awful as Trump is. So of course, if Fox isn’t going to join the parade and carry on about whatever the anti-Trumpers are howling about on any given day, Fox is “..a destructive propaganda machine..” and “…doing a great grave disservice to our country.” I can understand him being upset that Fox is being critical of Mueller, the FBI and other intelligence agencies, and the DOJ, because all of these entities agree with him that Trump Must Be Destroyed. But the job of true journalism is to uncover corruption and misconduct wherever it is found, and I happen to think that holding all these entities accountable for their misdeeds is a service to the nation. But to claim that Fox is “attacking our constitutional order and rule of law” is simply crazy talk.
But my question is, what would he and his ilk prefer that Fox DO? Do they claim that echoing their nonstop Trump attacks would be good for the country? Do they believe that the nation would be best served by having everyone in it working nonstop to savage the president and undermine everything he tries to do? In what way would crippling an administration and undermining the rule of law (as it exists, not as they wish it did) and subverting our electoral process by nullifying a result they don’t like benefit our country?
And while the “howling media mob” continues their unhinged attacks on us, our President, and our country, this is going unreported:
Iranian officials, in a first, have admitted to facilitating the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. by secretly aiding the free travel of al Qaeda operatives who eventually went on to fly commercial airliners into the Twin Towers in New York City, according to new remarks from a senior Iranian official.
Mohammad-Javad Larijani, an international affairs assistant in the Iran’s judiciary, disclosed in Farsi-language remarks broadcast on Iran’s state-controlled television that Iranian intelligence officials secretly helped provide the al Qaeda attackers with passage and gave them refuge in the Islamic Republic,
And I wonder how much of the money Obama gave Iran is being used to attack Israel?
I wonder if Obama knew this before he sent pallets of money to Iran.
Conservatives want good, Liberals want bad.
I’ve almost been attacked twice in my life by wild animals. I just shot em with 12 gauge 3 1/2 magnum. Once it was a big bobcat, I seen him crouched behind a mound of dirt, all I could see was his eyes, I moved to position that when the cat lunged, I cut down on him, and you never seen a cat run so fast in your life.
The other was a wild dog, he come jumpin out of the high grass, snarling and bearing his canines, I cut down on him, he tucked tail and run.
If we let liberals have their way, they would eat us alive.
I think best to just make them tuck tail and run.
I thought this was awesome:
Donald Trump says he will ask NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to name who they believe should receive a presidential pardon.
In what Trump appears to see as a solution to the nation’s football players protesting the national anthem, he has invited them to ‘recommend’ people they believe were unfairly treated by the justice system.
Put up ….. or Shut Up.
Oh, they’ve got their lists of names of people they claim were treated unfairly, by law enforcement rather than the justice system. There is Saint Trayvon Martin, Saint Michael Brown, every belligerent black jerk who drew down on a cop and paid the price for it.
And if they believe that one police officer in one small town in Missouri did a racist and unforgivable thing, well what could make more sense than disrespecting the symbols of the entire nation to “protest”?
I always come back to poor befuddled Brandon Marshall of the Broncos, who took a knee to let people know it’s hard to be a minority.
About the drug laws: I would prefer Congress to officially state that drug laws were never within the scope of federal authority and vote to remove federal laws and let states make their own laws. I think it is not only more compliant with the 10th Amendment, it stops the escalating war between the feds and the states about state sovereignty regarding legalizing drugs.
We have a much bigger and more important conflict with states enforcing federal law, and that is about illegal immigration. Why waste so much time and money on squabbling about something that should never have been federal in the first place?
Trump could and should make a statement that refers to the 10th Amendment and supporting legislation removing drug laws from federal books. He wouldn’t have to endorse drug use—in fact, it could be a platform for coming down hard on the folly and dangers of drug use—but It would be another of his steps toward returning the nation to a more Constitutional form of government and it would free up the feds to go after the things they should be pursuing, such as forcing states and local governments to follow reasonable, official, justified federal laws on immigration.
It’s also kind of a thumb in the eye to states that have defied federal authority by legalizing marijuana—you wanted it, you got it—but that means you own it. No federal money for law enforcement, no federal money for treatment, no federal money for anything drug related. It’s now your baby.
England appears to be nearing the Leftist utopia.
If the hysterics get their way, all scissors will all be those little rounded safety scissors we were allowed to use in kindergarten, and all knives in all kitchens will have blades no longer than 8 inches, with rounded tips, After all, a British politician recently opined that “no one needs” a big knife, much less a pointy knife, and advocated nationwide knife mutilation. ” In mid-May retiring Luton Crown Court Judge Nic Madge used his valedictory speech as an opportunity to advocate for a ban on the sale, and potentially the possession, of common kitchen knives.”
Toilets won’t be as clean in England, though. In a land where guns are banned, a lot of criminals are using acids to attack people, ” In response to the acid attacks, last October Home Secretary Amber Rudd announced the Tory government’s intent to restrict the sale of corrosive substances.” So long, Drano.
The article ends by identifying the biggest threat to safety in the UK—–tattoos of guns. Here in the US we have OUTRAGE but evidently in the UK they have FURY. Whatever. It’s all just hysterical Leftists screeching and drooling. Anyway, ”… Jamaica-born UK professional soccer player and English national team member Raheem Sterling posted a photo of a training sessions to his Instagram account. In the photo a tattoo of an M16 rifle is visible on Sterling’s right leg.”
Oh, the horror!
”According to the paper, the tattoo “triggered fury among anti-gun campaigners.” FURY !!!
So now the anti-gun hysterics are demanding that he have the tattoo lasered off, or covered with a different tattoo. ” If he refuses he should be dropped from the England team. “
Winston Churchill’s spirit must be in anguish, seeing a once proud nation fall to such a pathetic and ignominious level of sniveling cowardice. He led the nation to victory over one of the most powerful and implacable tyrants in history with words like ”… we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be.
We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender…” England was not brought to its knees by guns and bombs, but by the words of the Left, whispered in gullible ears.
We need to learn from this.

BTW, back to the reason for banning guns—-to keep people from killing people. How’s that going for you, England?
In recent months, the UK, and London in particular, has found itself in the grip of a violent crime wave. During February and March of this year, there were more murders in the UK capital than in New York City.
Obviously they need more laws …… and more money to politicians
All they really need to do is post a bunch of signs—no guns allowed, no knives allowed, no acid allowed. Or just no killing allowed.
Question for Mr. Noonan, why are you writing a prequel when you haven’t published your novel yet? (As best I know.) Did you get a publishing deal?
A true DO YA THINK !! comment : From a Dick’s official—““As expected, our firearms policy changes impacted our hunt business,…”
No kidding. Did they think that hunters would go buy their firearms at other stores and then make a special trip to a Dick’s to buy tents and knives, etc.?

Much like when Starbucks opened their doors to everyone in the name of compassion …… and then realized they had a problem. Liberals are for the most part ‘bone deep stupid” people with a complete ignorance of human nature.
If Starbucks wants to provide shelters for the homeless, they make enough money to build some shelters dedicated to that purpose. They could even offer free coffee along with showers and razors and laundry facilities. But they make that money by providing a service people are willing to pay for—that is, pleasant surroundings where people can work, visit or just relax, drinking over-priced beverages to pay for the amenities. That is the trade-off, a fact the management didn’t seem to understand. People don’t pay those prices for mediocre coffee—-they pay them for the whole package, which includes clean surroundings, comfort, convenience and safety. Aside from the fact that there is not a single Starbucks along I-70 through Kansas, from Kansas City to nearly within sight of the Colorado border (or at least that was the case when I had to drive that Godforsaken stretch of boredom, caffeine-free) they are really convenient. I’ve loved being able to drive through and pick up a venti vanilla latte in a couple of minutes, no matter where I am, without ever getting out of my car, and I’ve had many quick business meetings in various Starbucks. I cut them loose when the CEO kicked that employee to the curb, announcing publicly that she had been acting out of racism, when she was just following company rules.
I can watch some actors even though I think they are idiots, but I will not watch anything with Streep or Sarandon or, now, De Niro. I just can’t get past their smug viciousness and utter stupidity. Even then I sometimes find myself thinking “It’s a good thing he pretty, because he sure be dumb”.
GAME ON
Robert De Niro had a few choice words for President Donald Trump while the legendary actor was on stage at Sunday’s Tony Awards to introduce Bruce Springsteen’s musical performance.
“I’m going to say one thing, F— Trump,” De Niro said while pumping his fists in the air. “It’s no longer down with Trump. It’s f— Trump.”
I am tired of these motherf****ng people. Joe Scarpborough, Bobby “piece of shit” De Niro, Rob Reiner, Ton Steyer, etc., etc …….
It’s time for all Trump supporters to unite and F**K these people up. It’s time for a reckoning

De Niro and Fields are both dithering over the hill has-beens whose grasp on reality, always shaky because of its being so influenced by Leftist nonsense, has now completely departed. They are now just drooling, babbling idiots dressed up and trotted out for the occasional superficial ceremony where they and their kind admire each other, while the rest of the country just yawns and tunes out.
“Who’s that moron screaming into the mic?” “Oh, that’s just another old Hollywood fossil trying to be relevant.”
Those photos of De Niro embarrassing himself say it all. He’s past his prime, no one cares any more, and he can whore himself out to the new people in Hollywood to try to be taken seriously but he’s just a tired old joke. No potty mouth and feigned outrage will get him back in the club. His ship has sailed, and left him on the dock waving his fist and trying to act tough.
Cluster, you really need to try to overcome your shyness so you can tell us how you really feel.
Personally, I don’t care that much because, like Spook, I think they are herding themselves into smaller and smaller circles, as they exclude more rational people by their insanity and crudity and general obnoxiousness. Does anyone take Cher seriously? Ashley Judd used to be thought of as a pretty talented actress, but I’ll bet she is radioactive now. De Niro is so far over the hill, he can barely remember being there, and this antic of his was nothing more than a pathetic, last-ditch, effort to gain some cred with the newer Hollywood—which doesn’t care. Their mouths are filthier than his, they’ve been saying it longer, and his only value is the entertainment value of watching a dinosaur dance for treats.
I love it when they are foul mouthed and offensive. I love it when they drag out one of their no-talent bimbos like Michelle Whosits, who is popular only with the few who don’t realize the emperor has no clothes and think she is a fashion guru, because the message these antics send to the world is that these people are obnoxious, disgusting, and really out of touch. The more they widen the gap between themselves and decency, the bigger the vote margin will be when Trump wins again in 2020.
You know what I would love to see? A really good comedian, one who doesn’t have to drop the F-bomb in every sentence, who would put on a big routine about why foreigners hate America. No, it’s not because we are big, or rich, or powerful—they either love that about us or they envy us for it. No, the problem is that they think America is what Hollywood has told them it is.
And then go into Hollywood’s message to the world about what it means to be an American. They think American women walk around with their boobs hanging out like streetwalkers, because this is what they see in their magazines—–and show a slide show of the barely-clad actresses on the red carpet in show after show. They are told that in America babies are always born outside of marriage—-and show the Hollywood illegitimacies. They are told that Americans don’t get married any more—-and run down the list of shacked-up Hollywood types. They are told that Americans are foul-mouthed—-and show the potty mouths the Left thinks are so darling. They are told that American men always have mistresses and American wives are always unfaithful, and show the TV shows that illustrate that. Remember Dallas? Dynasty? They are still running in other countries. They believe that the youth of America are always hanging out in clubs, being carried out of clubs, and headed into rehab or should be—-and show starlet after starlet drugged-out and barely conscious, River Phoenix dead on the sidewalk, etc. And then I’d say people in other countries think we are a racist nation—why? because Hollywood tells them we are. People in other countries think we all hate Donald Trump. why? Because Hollywood hates Donald Trump.
I’d take every ugly thing people believe about America and shove it right down Hollywood’s throat, because Hollywood is the source of the infection in this country. Our international image comes from Hollywood. Foreigners thought we thought Obama was a hero—because to Hollywood, he was. I would savage the shallowness, the posturing, the hypocrisy, the fake virtue signaling, the immorality, the distorted view of life Hollywood has and then exports into the world as if it were real. I’d quote the stupid things Hollywood types say, as the pontificate about things they know nothing about. I’d come out and say, if you want to give America an enema, you have to go to Hollywood.
I would love to see a resistance movement against Hollywood. I would pay to see the movie. I would buy the movie. I would buy packages of tickets to see it on stage. It would be a thing of beauty.
It would be justice.
LOL I will try and be a little more clear ….. and I think your wishes for Hollywood are slowly materializing based on box office results with a lot of these movies.
Good example of how fascism has taken over progressivism:
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Sunday expressed regret over eating at Chick-fil-A, because of the chicken company’s CEO’s personal views on gay marriage.
Well, I for one, hope they not only keep it up but continue to ramp it up. Every time one of these Leftist celebrity twits says something like De Niro or Jack Dorsey, they lose more votes of people sitting on the fence.
The thing is, the opinion on gay marriage was from the late CEO, who has passed on, and is an opinion never voiced by anyone in current management.
Too bad more people don’t express remorse for using Twitter because of Dorsey’s personal views, which evidently include believing in the tyranny of the mob, and being enriched by it, as well as being an arm of the Thought Police.
I’m not familiar with this writer, but he pretty much nails the limited moral scope of the modern Left.
Here’s an anecdotal story I found inspiring – one of my agents is working with a very nice black couple from Los Angeles. They are retiring and looking to purchase a home here in AZ. He admitted to my agent that he has been a life long Democrat but that he is sad to see what that party has done to his home state, and he even said – and I quote “I don’t even recognize the Democrat party anymore”
The Democrat coalition is imploding
From the YCMTSU file.
And remember the howling mob screams, including Bill Maher, when Rush said that he hoped Obama’s socialist policies failed?
Again, their self awareness is abysmal, as is their intellect, common sense and, decency
I will state this as a matter of fact and with zero qualifiers:
TRUMP IS THE BEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE PRESIDENT IN MY LIFE TIME.
Well, we already know he wouldn’t care if people get hurt in the pursuit of his agenda. He’s a Lib—that attitude is a given.
What I want to know is, how is Trump’s presidency threatening “democracy”? Aside from the fact that our government is not a democracy, it’s a republic, it seems to me that when a movement is dedicated to overturning the will of the people, THAT is the threat to democracy.
And Trump, ignoring those who are determined to undermine his election, undermine his presidency and overturn the will of the people, is just doing his job. It seems to me that this is the definition of working to save democracy.
“I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point.” Of course you do, Bill. Of course you are rooting for it to fall out. That is because the Left doesn’t stand a chance in a happy, prosperous, peaceful nation. There’s a reason the Left is constantly fomenting unrest, resentment, racial strife, violence, hatred and suspicion—the Left is the political version of the dung beetle, and it requires emotional dung to nourish it and enable it. Maher is just one of the more public dung purveyors.
I heard this today I think on Rush but it puts this whole G7 dust up into perspective. The US economy is larger than the other 6 economies combined. I would say we have the leverage.
This is hilarious – the panel on Morning Joe is longing and hoping for the return of the “traditional” Republican party. Of course they are – they could roll and impose their way over the traditional Republican party.
Not anymore. I love the smell of progressive fear in the morning.
It’s amusing to watch people whose policies have failed over and over and over again, criticize the success’s Trump is having. And such is the state of our media.
We’ve talked a bit here about Jordan Peterson. It appears he’s becoming more and more of a threat to the Left. Good!
I’ve seen several articles in the last month or so describing how the Left ruins everything it touches. The latest such article from Dennis Prager hits it out of the park.
