Jussie Smollett might be in a great deal of trouble – if it proves that he did send a hate letter to himself, he may be looking at a heavy federal penalty. Pretty much all of us figured the story was fishy from the start…there is just so little chance that Trump supporters would (a) know who Smollett is and (b) seek him out on a freezing cold Chicago night. Naturally, we already have Fredocons willing to let bygones be bygones…because, all Smollett did was accuse 60 million Americans of being violent racists and tie up Chicago PD resources investigating a fake crime. Nothing to worry our little heads over, you see?
Marc Theissen is figuring that the GOPers in Congress should stand up to Trump and stop him from his emergency declaration on the border. Leaving aside, for a moment, the actual case, let’s look at Theissen: the son of two Manhattan doctors, went to an elite prep school and Vassar and the Naval War College…the author of a book asserting the CIA is great. Can you get a more Establishment guy? I don’t think so.
You can see where he’s really coming from – his whole life; his success, his reason for being, is tied up in the post-WWII liberal Establishment. To a guy like this, it is unthinkable that there might be something valid outside the Establishment which gave him every advantage and retains him in a position of wealth and privilege. To the Establishment, there is nothing wrong with people coming across the border, however they come across. For a variety of reasons, they think it good and don’t care – likely because they are unaware – what affect this has on people who are not insulated by wealth and privilege. So, naturally, Theissen is mounting an attack on Trump. He claims it is a matter of principle and, in a sense, it is: but the principle is defense of the Establishment and it’s desires. It isn’t an adherence to eternal principles. He’s just looking after his own.
We’ve suddenly had a few ISIS Brides attempting to return home – here and in the UK. The American ISIS Bride Hoda Muthana has been denied permission to return to the US. Apparently with a revocation of her US citizenship. She’s now just a foreigner who can apply for immigration to the United States, and her case will be judged in line with the rules for foreign immigrants. There is sympathy in my heart and a desire for mercy – on the other hand, she adhered to inhuman savages and betrayed not just her country, but human decency.
Seven Labour MP’s have quit the party over Labour’s increasing anti-Semitism. As I said, Labour made the calculation that there is more money and votes in Islamism than in Judaism…the Democrat party here is making the same calculation.
California: the State so stupid they can’t even sell dope to stoners. They have placed so many taxes and regulations on marijuana that the black market is still thriving…solution? Well, obviously: step up law enforcement. Don’t even think about cutting the taxes and regulations. California will get the wonderful situation of sending people to jail for dealing in a legal substance.
Mueller probe to end next week? We’ll see.

Jeremiah, I actually do think a 2nd Civil War is still a fringe concept. Those on the Left who have been talking about it, or in extreme cases, participating in violent protests are a tiny minority of a tiny minority. They have no power to go beyond talking (shouting), breaking windows, burning cars, and occasionally physically assaulting those they perceive as the evil other. Very few of them are armed, and very few of the ones who are armed train regularly for physical combat. I’ve witnesses some Lefties (and they’re not hard to identify) at the range. Their biggest threat is to themselves, as most of them don’t seem to even know which end of the tube the round comes out of. I overheard one guy last summer who was bragging to his friends that he had 1,000 rounds of ammunition. I can count at least a dozen close friends who have 25 to 50 times that amount. Any Leftist attempt to eliminate Conservatives and/or establish socialist, authoritarian government by force will be short-lived.
OTOH, I know a lot of Conservatives, including some far Right militia types. None of them are talking about starting a civil war — NONE. Many of them are training to resist should the Left be stupid enough to write a check that their ass can’t cash, but every single Conservative I know is in a defensive mode. As I’ve said numerous times on this blog — the last thing I want to do on this earth is take the life of another American in anger, and would only do so as a last resort if my life or the lives of those I love were threatened. I pray every day that it never comes to that.
Spook, I agree. I’m like you, I don’t want to take the life of an American citizen. That’s what I’ve always said about self-defense at home, I don’t want to shoot anyone, it would totally devastate me to know that I have to take someone’s life even in self-defense, and I still don’t know as I could do it. But, what other option does a person have if there is an intruder into one’s home, and they have a knife in their hand? Or they are demanding money? There is really no other option, because by the time you call the police, a person may be dead before they even arrive.
It’s truly amazing how far one can go in defense of their life.
That can be applied to our freedom as a collective nation. My only greatest fear in America is that there will be no real resistance. Conservative Americans draw a line in the sand, and we say cross that line, the left crosses it, then we draw another line, and the left crosses that line, and we continuously lose ground. Kind of like what’s shown in this video…
We have an extremely dangerous enemy in the United States. I just hope and pray that somehow things can be changed for the better, and that somehow people will have the courage to resist before unjust laws and eventual despotism become a reality.
Personally, I think dialogue is a waste of time. With Democrats, that is. Liberals have no desire to hear and/or agree to a Constitutional form of government. They absolutely despise our history, and the patriots who were notable figures in the fight against tyranny, like Robert E. Lee, and George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln, and others. They despise authority, everyday our men and women in blue sacrifice to keep this nation safe and orderly, and they are hated for that. They hate Christians and the name of Jesus the very One who brought us to these shores so that we could have freedom, and Divine Providence.
Discussing any of those things with Liberals is futile. It is better, if a person we to go out into the woods and talk to a tree, honestly, you will get way more ahead with the tree than you will with a Liberal.
People have genuine fears and emotions, it’s part of who we are as human beings, and these fear and emotions as they they relate to tyranny will be realized far too late, without resistance.
That’s my only fear, but other than that I have no reason or desire to debate the power hungry on the left.
I’m concerned about calls for violence or eagerness for violence on the Right. I don’t like it, and I think it just throws fuel on the fire. Not that I advocate being weak or backing down, not by a long shot. But I think the only way to hold the Higher Moral Ground is to make it clear that we will become violent only in defense if attacked. Although I think it appropriate and good strategy to make that very very clear. (And then if the Left starts something, it’s Katy bar the door. That is when you don’t just stop the attack, you make sure there will be no more attacks.)
I’ve often commented that a lot of people on the Right complain about things on the Left and then advocate much the same kinds of things, thinking not that the coin itself is faulty but that our side of it is just better than theirs. So I see self-styled “conservatives” advocating for some expansions of federal powers while criticizing the Left for the same thing.
We could shut down the Left by undermining its support in the young and the so-called “moderates” or “Independents” if we could figure out that they are attracted to the frosting on the Leftist cake and not aware that it covers a rotten core. Most of these people are not bad, or evil, or even truly stupid. They are reacting to the only truth they think they know, because it is the only thing they have been taught. It is about 99% emotion-based, but it can’t be fought with emotion. It has to be fought with calm, quiet, assurance and a pathway to reason that is not emotional.
Back to that flip side of the coin again—-we seem to think that we should employ emotion, too, and it’s just that our emotion is better than theirs. But they have been indoctrinated to see emotion from the Right as threatening, so it has a negative effect.
As for having 1000 rounds of ammunition, that isn’t that impressive if you only hit what you aim at 10% of the time.
Not surprisingly, Kurt Schlichter is on the same page.
I wonder if this silly, semi-talented little egoist ever thought that the only way he could achieve real fame would be by having his name turned into a verb meaning to try to profit by inventing a drama in which you are not only the star but a noble victim, or a noun meaning someone who has done this.
Schlichter is right—this Leftist-created hatred IS a sepsis in our cultural bloodstream. As one whose husband died of septic shock, I can tell you that in the human body when the poison in the blood reaches a tipping point, it becomes a cascade of sequential organ failure, and I think there is a societal corollary.
That was my favorite line in the whole article because it paints an accurate mental picture of what the Left is attempting to do to this country.
I’m actually feeling more concerned on this level right now than ever before. Today I was out on the road for a bit and so was listening to the radio when the 9 am news came on…a CBS affiliated station, so that is what I got. They did the barest mention of Smollett and then immediately went into how Trump is causing racist hate to rise in America. I was astounded – it was Pravda, writ large. They, too, were some times forced to grudgingly admit that things weren’t swell in Commie Land, but they always jumped on how bad Non Commie Land was, going on at length about it.
I’m starting to wonder if the Smollett thing was a larger effort – too neat; too entirely perfect for the Liberal Narrative…and done in a deep blue city where you can usually rely on everyone to follow their cues. Fortunately, there are a couple local reporters in Chicago and a good cop who decided to go for the truth. But imagine if those reporters did look the other way, and the cops decided to follow the political line (which I’m sure the government of Chicago wanted them to do)? But for a few honest people, this hoax would have, at the least, gone on longer…maybe becoming the new Hands Up, Don’t Shoot Narrative.
They are saying Smollett did it for money. But there’d be no guarantee his employers would boost his pay over such an attack. Also, he makes – from what I understand – $65,000.00 an episode. This isn’t remotely “Friends” money but it does work out to $1,170,000.00 per year. The man ain’t going hungry. Remember: they also had witnesses who supposedly said the attackers looked like rednecks. The witnesses weren’t Smollett, and weren’t the Nigerian brothers…who were they? Where are they? Is anyone checking up on that?
And we’ve also now got ISIS Brides attempting to return to the USA, Canada and Britain…all at once. Canada and Britain will likely eventually let their’s back in.
Neat couple of issues to fire up the Progs and paint Trump and supporters as evil bad guys who must be defeated next year, huh?
There’s more to this than we’re seeing, I think.
He was trying to make Trump supporters look bad, and then the MSM was going to jump on board and then the Black Panthers was going to get riled, then there was going to be a huge ruckus. Thankfully, though, law enforcement caught him in his lie, and they’re going to catch him in a bunch more lies, too. He ought to go to the Federal prison.
Sad will be the day when the American people forget their traditions and their history, and so longer remember that the country they love, the institutions they cherish, and the freedom they hope to preserve, were born from the throes of armed resistance to tyranny, and nursed in the rugged arms of fearless men.
