CNN wins an award named after Cronkite for their Parkland townhall…which makes sense as we’re giving them an award for hackery named after one of the premier hacks in American journalistic history. A lot of people keep saying that Trump is attacking our norms by calling the MSM the “enemy of the people”: the truth of the matter is that Trump is asserting the norm. The only function the MSM has is to provide the truth as best they can determine it. They don’t do that – they lie, they hide the truth, they play politics…and by so doing, they negate the reason for having a free press and, so, become an enemy of the people. They can fix this real easy: just report the truth. That’s all they have to do.

Newtown, MA public schools have been teaching the kiddies that Christians and Jews modified their religious books in order to contradict Muslim claims. I can only guess that this is a belief held by some Muslims…but in a time when you can’t even say an Our Father in public schools, why in heck are the kids being taught such things? That makes zero sense to me — other than “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” Islam is complete anathema to Progressivism. Muslims throw homosexuals off building and treat women like sh*t. Simply doesn’t compute.
The most ardent feminists will become the most ardent Muslims. It is a very simple religion which simple people can readily accept. No priests; no dogma outside of belief in Allah and that Mohammed was his prophet. You can pick and choose which flavor you like and if you are rich, you can secretly violate everything and get away with it. It is the perfect religion for our Ruling Class…long forgotten is how many Imperial Brits became Muslim in fact if not in name…and how the British imperial system highly favored Muslims for their obedience.
Not sure how feminists will deal with the restrictions on women driving, being out without male relatives to accompany them, sharia law regarding stoning of rape victims or “honor killings”. The move from $10,000 boobs on blatant display to the burka or hibab would be a big one, and lesbianism and/or transsexualism seem pretty antithetical to Islamic teachings.
On the other hand, I wish feminism on Islam—if anything can break it, it would be the incessant harping of the perennial victimhood of feminism wearing down Islam merely by its constant relentless repetition.

E. Warren is also advocating the overthrow of our Constitution by nullification of the electoral college. I totally disagree with her. Our Founding Father’s gave us the electoral so that people in rural areas of America would have a vote, and exercise their rights as citizens. Well, if they do decide to do away with the electoral college, then might as well not even vote, because conservatives won’t have a voice…it’ll just be hollywood, antifa, and the communist areas, New York, California, Washington, Oregon, Miami, D.C, Chicago, … and then we’ll become like France, who have allowed immigrants to pour in and turn it into a third world country.
It’s sad what’s happening to our country. Free speech is being silenced everywhere, even on Fox News.

Actually Trump was technically correct, albeit ignorant of the type of government we have. The Electoral College WOULD be a disaster for a democracy. Fortunately, we’re a constitutional representative republic, a fact that I think Trump now realizes. Meanwhile, many Democrats still don’t understand the difference.
Not all college students are ignorant, misinformed know-nothings. A question from a college co-ed to Robert Francis O’roarke in a town hall: “when are we going to get real policies from you instead of platitudes and nice stories?”
