Some Random Thoughts

The really funny thing about Feminism is that it amounts to an assertion that only things men do are of any worth. Think about it: when was the last time a Feminist spoke approvingly of being a mother? Of being someone who can actually organize a house and keep it working? Nope – all Feminists want is for women to get out there and do what men do, which reveals an overwhelming contempt for women. It just astonishes me that people don’t see this.

Got into a Twitter argument with some pacifists yesterday and I have two take-aways from it:

1. Pacifists are really, really rude.

2. I think we’ve all lost sight of what war actually is: it is the means whereby you compel someone to do something they don’t want to do. In olden days, you just had to compel the other king to bend to your will, but since 1789, war has required you to bend an entire people to your will. That takes a lot more fighting than it used to – but, in the end, if you do it properly, the war is over for good. A king, beaten, could recover and strike back…but once a people has been beaten, they don’t want a re-do.

I’m reading two books – one, a biography of Grant and another about Germany in 1945. What comes clear through both books is that a war ends, for good, when the defeated people is more ready to accept a dictated peace than continue the war. We’ve lost sight of that – since WWII, we’ve worked on the idea that there is a level of pain short of total destruction which will get a people to quit. Doesn’t work that way. The Germans retained faith in Hitler and his regime right up until Russians were raping their way through Pomerania and the Americans were blowing to pieces every town which showed even the slightest resistance. You have to crush an enemy – then the war is over, not before.

I’m really trying to think of a Democrat – announced or prospective – who can take it to Trump in 2020. Now, to be sure, whomever will have complete support from the MSM and the overall global elite…but, in the end, the candidate has to get down in the trenches and mix it up with Donald Trump. Who have they got who is that sort of street fighter? Just don’t see it.

A nation of 3 million square miles and 317 million people really should be able to do for itself. Trade is fine, but there is zero reason for us to import anything aside from rarities and luxuries from overseas. We have the resources and the skills to do anything that needs to be done cheaper and more efficiently than any foreign supplier could hope to meet. Our goal – in tax and regulatory policy – should be to encourage Americans to merely apply our skills to our resources in the best means possible. If we are finding ourselves less effective in some area, then the whole focus should be on finding out why, and correcting it.

The voting age should be returned to 21. And no one – outside of uniformed armed forces and police – should be allowed to vote if more than 50% of their income is derived from government.

We also need term limits on bureaucrats – no more than 12 years, then you go find something else to do.

Citizen Kane is the best movie ever made – after that, you have to group them into “2nd best”, “3rd best” and so on…because the “2nd best” movie ever made is The Caine Mutiny, The Searchers and Papillon. See how that goes? And I don’t think Citizen Kane will ever be bested – the Golden Age for film was from about 1940 to 1960…with some echoes of it lasting into the 1980’s…but, its becoming more and more dreck. Though Interstellar is the best science fiction film ever made.

God Bless Candace Owens … she speaks the TRUTH

I just saw that but am behind the curve on knowing how to use the Surface Pro I bought for the trip and can’t seem to copy and paste.

      Loved it.

        She’s hated by two types:

        1. Liberals.

        2. “Muh Prince-apples” Tru-Cons.

Now, is Ms. Owens some perfect person who never makes a mistake? Of course not – but she’s young and learning and if she keeps it up, she’ll be unbeatable one day. What really frightens people (You Know Who) is that she represents a black person who no longer buys any of the liberal BS. Keep in mind that even a large number of supposedly Conservative black people still buy a lot of liberalism…its how, I think, they justified themselves to their largely liberal friends and family “Yeah, I’m Conservative but, you’re right, that ‘Southern Strategy’ was racist and I’m trying to get those lunkhead GOPers to see that”. Owens isn’t having any of it.

I’m stunned that Nadler’s committee let her testify. Between young people like her and Brandon Straka, the young gay man who founded the Walk Away movement the Dems are in for the fight of their lives.

OK, you threw down the gauntlet on that ” Best Movie” thing. Did you even CONSIDER the fairly recent “Hell or High Water” with Jeff Bridges? OK, so maybe not the best all-around movie, but definitely the best diner scene, finally knocking Jack Nicholson out of first place,

OK, some news from Germany. Everyone hates Trump. And some wild-eyed Liberals also like studying spy and spycraft and though they are very well-traveled and sophisticated some are dumb as dirt. Last night a very well-dressed, very well-educated, very well-traveled woman informed me that Putin is right-wing.

Y’all know me well enough to imagine that I am not easily rendered speechless.

But…but…but HE IS THE HEAD OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY !! Yes, but look how rich he is. But…but… but Communism ls like the very definition of leftism! Yes, but he is very very rich. But…but…but “Left” and “Right” are definitions of POLITICAL systems and have nothing to do with wealth. No, he is very rich and right-wing.

I think Germans toss in snide comments about Trump because they think AmerIcans hate him so I just smile and say “Well, WE love him—of course we make up our own minds based on what he is doing and don’t pay attention to what the media want us to believe”.

    Oh.

There are so many things of interest in this seminar, from the a morning spent listening to the Russian intelligence agent who studied under Kim Philby and became his good friend to two photos of devices used in intelligence gathering and still classified by the US government—photos obtained from the Russians. That got a chuckle.

    • M. Noonan April 10, 2019 / 11:15 am

Haven’t seen that – but I’ll fite over Citizen Kane!

As for how people really think of Trump over in Europe…lets see how the next few elections go.

    • Cluster April 10, 2019 / 11:18 am

Hating on Trump is just the latest group think from the “cool kids” as Casper defined it. Everyone wants to be included in the “cool kids” group and virtue signaling is required and of course that means denouncing the big bad orange guy.

And that is as intellectually deep as they go.

Listening to Rush. He just played a clip of Maxine Waters grilling large bank CEOs about the sad state of student loans. All 3 stated that their banks (BOA, JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo, I think) quit making student loans back in the time frame of 2007 to 2009, a fact that Auntie Maxine didn’t seem to know. YCMTSU!!

Good thing I’m not a large bank CEO. If she asked me what I intended to do about the abysmal default rate of student loans, I’d be inclined to say something like: “Is this a joke, Congresswoman, or are you that fu*king stupid?

    • M. Noonan April 10, 2019 / 1:06 pm

Its like they forgot that Uncle Sam took over the student loan program…which is something I bet that Maxine both voted for and spoke out in favor of.

It should be kept in mind that people like Waters are mere puppets for political operatives behind the scenes. She was selected for her office based on her willingness to let corruption flow unchecked: the only “qualification” she has is a combination of ethnic affinity and a (D) after her name.

She is that f**king stupid Spook. She’s embarrassing and proof that Democrats do “fail upwards”

Wouldn’t you love to see Candace Owens debate AOC? That would be unfair though. Candace is practical, educated, smart, and reasoned. AOC is none of the above.

  5. Cluster April 10, 2019 / 3:11 pm

    More on Candace …

…. in that clip that Nadler tries to admonish Owens for something she didn’t do and she calls him on it. He just shrugs and remains silent when she does. Lieu just sat in his chair with no expression on his face. Those Democrats know exactly what they are doing and it’s about time someone spoke up and held them accountable for their own behavior.

It’s actually about time that someone take Democrats like Lieu and Nadler out in the alley and beat the living f**k out of them. MAGA baby

” And no one – outside of uniformed armed forces and police – should be allowed to vote if more than 50% of their income is derived from government.”

For clarification, I could agree to this as long as it’s clear that receiving SSI is NOT considered money derived from the government but rather getting money back from a system that you put in.

” We also need term limits on bureaucrats – no more than 12 years, then you go find something else to do.

I wouldn’t mind seeing it maximized at 10 years, but I’d also like to see a few other term changes. First would be to increase congress members term from 2 years to 3. As it is, they really only serve the first year and spend the majority of their time and resources trying to get re-elected for the second year. Then I’d change Senators term from 6 years to 5. Those changes would cap the Senate at 2 terms for a total of 10 years and Congress at 3 terms for a total of 9 years. Also, I would restrict all of them from running for election of the alternate house. With the exception of running for President, once they’ve reached the maximum length for their perspective house, they should be restricted from running again for a duration of time, if ever. Just as important, I’d restrict all members of congress and people who’ve held certain federal positions from working for or with lobbyist. Add to that, restrict any federal employee from receiving funds or compensation from corporations that could represent conflict of interest. For example, restrict anyone working for the CDC / FDA from receiving anything from pharmaceutical companies.

    • Ryan Murphy April 12, 2019 / 10:01 pm

Why an exception for running for President? No exception for runnng for president. Or at the very least you should not be able to concurrently run for one federal office while holding another one.

  7. JeremiahTMM April 11, 2019 / 1:09 am

I watched Candace Owens last night, and I have to say, I’m really glad she was invited to speak at the congressional meeting yesterday. It’s good to see the truth being voiced in such a hostile place. The political realm is very nasty place to be.

What was really awesome is she is exposing the democrats plans to oppress white people, especially white, christian males. In yesterday’s meeting, the only they wanted to talk about was so called “white nationalism,” “white supremacy,” … big bad whitey. They did not want to talk about the hate crimes committed by liberal organizations like antifa, or the hate crimes committed against three thousand children murdered every day in America…or the hate crime of suppression of free speech on the internet, facebook and others…the shadow banning of people who identify as conservatives who regularly share their political thoughts on social media platforms…such as, if you post a video of Rush Limbaugh on facebook, someone in the shadows deletes the video, or does not allow it to be posted. And in that very meeting yesterday in congress, the democrats were talking about doing even more to further shut freedom of speech online.

I think the only thing that liberals are going to accomplish is instigating the bloodiest civil war this world has ever seen. If they keep going…keep going in the direction they are going.

The democrats are cooking up ways daily, to take away our rights, our God – given rights, rights in which we have a right to defend, and defend them viciously.

This went around via email a while back. Still true, and still a conundrum for Progressives:

    1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.

    2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.

    3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.

    4. Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.

    5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

    6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

I turned on the radio in my den to listen to the noon news and ended up catching the last minute or so of Glenn Beck. He was talking about how the immigrant caravans are being funded by George Soros, and that most of the information on the subject comes from the Associated Press; that not only are they not trying to hide it, but they’re actually bragging about it. Being the skeptical soul I am, I Googled AP brags about George Soros funding immigrant caravans.

Yeah, I was totally shocked by the results too.//sarc Paul Joseph Goebbels would be proud. Anyway, Beck says his TV show at 5:00 EDT will delve deeper into the topic. I haven’t watch his TV show or, to be honest, listened to his radio show in a while, but I may tune in.

I was listening to a report the other day about the border chaos and heard the reporter mention that there were “several Christian humanitarian centers” there to house the immigrants and tend to their needs while they waited. No mention of the “George Soros humanitarian centers” – odd isn’t it? You would think a far leftist who encourages and pays for migration might actually care for them. Guess not.

      Soros is a true POS
