President Trump is mulling sending all the detained illegals to the Sanctuary Cities. Naturally, our liberals blew a gasket when they heard that! But, that’s because they’re racists and only want illegals around to cut grass and clean up…they don’t want they actually around. But I think President Trump did get this a little wrong – what he should do is assign all detained illegals to the top 20 income zip codes in the United States. I want immigrant tent cities in Central Park and Martha’s Vineyard. I don’t think Democrats realize just how much most people will think such a proposal merely fair.

President Trump also took Rep. Omar (D-West Somalia) to task for her downplaying the 9/11 attacks – and almost instantly, every Democrat out there was out with a statement saying that Trump was threatening Omar’s life. Which means:

1. Democrats get their party line and just recite it on que.
2. Democrats actually thought the American people would swing behind Omar over Trump attacks.

Democrats are really dumb.

Assange is back in the news. Never liked the guy. Not sure the government is on firm ground in prosecuting him, but he’s not a friend of the United States in any way, shape or form.

What to do about Nationalism? Interesting article about it at Powerline.

So, Ken Starr says his investigation indicated that Hillary’s treatment of Vince Foster triggered his suicide. Which is better than our usual thoughts that his death was a bit of Arkancide.

Cindy McCain reminds us why we didn’t like John McCain.

Miserably failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is under investigation by the Georgia State Ethics Commission. They are all grifters, these Democrats: every last one of them.

You would think the Democrats would welcome the opportunity to have all these illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities where they are safe from the “long arm of the racist law” so their outrage doesn’t make sense does it? Unless those sanctuary cities are just political constructs. Hmmm, so do the Democrats care about people more than they do power and politics? Or do they care about power and politics more? I am going with the latter. And this issue exposes that.

The panel on MSNBC is “outraged” (which is a normal state of being for progressives), that Omar was criticized for her comments and claim that this is what all minority people go thru. Guilt by association. This burden on minorities is almost unbearable according to Elie Mystal (who is a special kind of stupid). Elie then went on to characterize all white people as racist and white nationalists. See how that works?

I thought Spool’s link yesterday to the NY legislative decision to bypass military children in favor of illegal immigrants says everything you need to know about the current Democrat party. They need to be treated as enemy combatants.

‘Her life is in danger’: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren lead furious backlash against Trump for his ‘explicit attack’ on Ilhan Omar by tweeting clip of her ‘some people did something’ remark alongside 9/11 video

I don’t remember seeing the same concern for Trump administration officials who have been attacked in restaurants. Did I miss that?

And let’s reflect on what a couple of Democrats did this week. The Democrat chair of the financial committee, Mad Max Waters, attempted to chastise the CEO’s of the nations largest banks over their role in the exploding student loan debt. Unfortunately, she was unaware that the entire student loan program was taking over by the federal government in 2010 … and she even voted for that takeover as Mark pointed out. This is a new level of stupid, even for Democrats.

And then Omar went on to say that CAIR was founded after 9/11 as a response to evil white people blaming all Muslims. You would think that as a proud Muslim she would know that CAIR started in 1994. Another swing and a miss.

The Mueller Report has provided the people who put together the humorous memes with photos and funny captions a treasure trove of material. One of my favorites:

      From Goodman’s column:

A founder of Greenpeace, for example, says that under the Green New Deal, half the people in the world would starve to death.

It can’t be emphasized enough that this is exactly what leaders of the Green Movement want. Many of them want a lot more than half the world’s population eliminated.

Fun questions to ask radical environmentalists are: “How much should CO2 be reduced? Is there a danger if it’s reduced too much? If we reduce the earth’s population to a “sustainable” level, who decides who stays and who goes? And my favorite: Assuming it is you who decides and me who goes, what happens if I resist? Of course to answer such questions, one must be capable of critical thought, which immediately eliminates (no pun intended) the majority of the Left.

    Latest update from the GDR.

You night think that a seminar on intelligence gathering, held in Berlin, with a schedule that included trips to the Stasi Museum and Stasi Prison might have clued in some Libs that these are not their people.

    No.

We have had some radical Lefties in the group.

When someone asked me about living in Wyoming I said that the first time I lived there I sold my ranch because I couldn’t find help, and a very tightly wound vegan sitting next to me—-and I mean “tightly wound” as in with a permanent frown of disapproval on her pinched gaunt face—turned to me and said “Why didn’t you go get some of those people at the border we supposedly have no room or jobs for”? I very calmly said that I couldn’t do that because I believe in obeying the law. Oh. I went on to say, that, however, I HAVE helped people get papers, at my own expense, and it cost me thousands of dollars and took years each time. She snarled “Well, that’s just WRONG” and I suggested that the proper approach is to change the law, not just ignore it. I notice she didn’t say she had spent any of her own time and money to help deserving people who want to live here.

In a Q&A session one of them asked the two retired KGB agents to say “from an intelligence standpoint”, what they thought of the current situation in our Executive Branch–to some polite moans and eyerolls. One of the Russians just laughed and said “We don’t know what is going on and it’s up to you to sort it out”. I think the guy was trying to open a channel to express his conviction that the Executive Branch, whatever he meant by that, is a security risk or something, but he got shut down. These people are insane. They are so tight-jawed and seething with hatred, it is creepy to be around them. They literally vibrate with emotion.

However, the entire seminar is very very unkind to Socialism. We saw a movie, The Lives Of Other People (highly highly recommended) about the Stasi in East Germany and it was not only a chilling example of Big Brother mentality and Central Authority brutality, the Stasi characters constantly mentioned that they were just supporting and protecting socialism. After the movie as my elevator doors were closing one of the KGB men got on and it was an uncomfortable couple of minutes. What do you say to a man who ran secret agents and was a close friend of Kim Philby after seeing a movie so harshly critical of the system he supports?

(I said the acting was quite good. He said yes, quite good. And we were both relieved when we got to his floor.)

The word “socialism” permeates everything about old East Germany, particularly Easy Berlin. Two tour guides lived under socialist rule in East Berlin. The Stasi Museum was all about the bureaucracy used to squelch opposition to socialism and the prison was a rather terrifying exposure to what Enemies Of The State had to experience. The same KGB guy had to leave early, supposedly to go to the theater but people In his group said he was very uncomfortable as the guide was merciless in his scathing commentaries about the brutality of the Soviets, and this was not just generalized commentary but as they toured the cells and could see what these people were put through, for political reasons and Thought Crimes.

But I think it went right over the heads of the Libs. Np doubt they just think “Well, that was THEIR socialism—ours will be much better”.

Off to Normandy tomorrow but Berlin, and the lectures and discussions in this seminar, were amazing. One night I stopped by the table where two of the lecturers (not the Russians) were sitting and asked how or why Lee Harvey Oswald, a useless doofus, was welcomed into the USSR, allowed to marry the niece of a highly placed KGB official and then both of them were allowed to leave. One of them went on to relate the conversation he had had with the Russian station officer who interviewed Oswald when he went to the Russian embassy in Mexico City and the other reminded me that Russians just love to make mischief and often do things just to create confusion and cause trouble. I finally asked if that included the Russian meddling in our election and letting the Left run with their insane theories and they both laughed and said yes.

The last question was about Christopher Steele. The answer was very long and detailed, after the opening explanation that he had known Steele worked with him and liked him. He then carefully and slowly dismantled the entire dossier, point by point, defect by defect, and concluded that there was no way any analyst could conclude it was anything but a fabrication—-and he was very dismayed and disappointed to see Steele sink so low. Again, this was not the answer the troublemaker Lib was looking for, but the analyst was British without a dog in the hunt and couldn’t be faulted for just being another evil Republican.

It was interesting to get a little distance and see our political situation, and arc, from a slightly different perspective.

Amazona, your trip sound very intriguing. How was it that this came about and that you were able to attend it? There are few experiences like getting perspectives from very different groups, from different countries, many of which have detailed knowledge that few others have.

I don’t have much hope for progressives but just maybe they are starting to figure some things out. The following comment is from Cher:

I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+ [American] Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More

That’s what we have been trying to tell you Cher.

If every Hollywood celebrity who emotes over this issue would just take in (as in feed, clothe and house) 10 illegal undocumented immigrants they would get an even better idea of the problem.

I think we should send ALL illegal immigrants and homeless people to California. Most of them are already there any way, so what’s a few more? It will really give the Democrats a chance to “walk the walk”

C’mon Democrats – show us all how much you really care. Now is your chance.

    • Retired Spook April 15, 2019 / 9:44 am

There’s one factor that I’m surprised no Liberal is talking about. “Everyone knows” that illegals commit fewer crimes than the general public, so the more illegals sanctuary communities take in, the lower their crime rate. What’s not to like about that?

Jennifer Rubin is the Queen of Projection:

It’s not just that Fox is endangering people of color — it’s not just that they are targeting Muslims — they are destroying political thought and political conversation in this country. They have so bamboozled a large segment of the population that we cannot have a rational decision. They have created a hate-mongering, a fearmongering, reality-defying world, and that is helping to destroy American politics. There’s no one more responsible for this than Rupert Murdoch.

Am I a person of color? There is a definite tint to my skin …. I would call it an ecru maybe or something along that color palette. Then the next question is – do you feel bamboozled?

    • Retired Spook April 15, 2019 / 9:46 am

      do you feel bamboozled?

I do actually — by the likes of people like Jennifer Rubin.

So a pretty funny exchange on MSNBC this morning when the panelists were talking about capitalism and how it is dying out and not “properly serving the population” anymore. Never mind the growing economy, the historically low unemployment, higher wages, and strong economy. They look at all of that and deem it to be a failing economic platform. However, as Venezuela collapses and other people flee other countries, the panelists on MSNBC say that socialism is the best economic model to “properly serve a population”.

    Truly unbelievable.

    Asking for a friend.

What if the Notre Dame fire is discovered to be arson? Will the media call it an attack against all Christians? And will the media call for more understanding and condemn people for their intoerabnt views of Christianity?
