Which is pretty much it. I’ll say something that is probably pretty unpopular: no one is born gay. Not in the sense that it is meant these days – that it is something so integral to your personality that you must express your desire for same-sex attraction. That some people have a very deep-seated attraction to members of the same sex cannot be doubted. Given what we know of genetics, there probably is some genetic role in such an attraction. But, you’re still human: you only must be born and die. Other than that, its all a choice. And this particular lady choose to break her promise and make her life an almost inevitable train wreck.
Lest anyone think I’m merely picking on the lesbian lady, another story along these lines caught my eye. It was recently announced that Father Morris – a long time commentator on Fox News – is leaving the priesthood so that he can get married. Which immediately made me wonder just how galactically stupid his future bride must be. The man is proposing to break a promise he made to God in order that he make a promise to a woman. How likely is it he’ll keep his second promise?
The lady wasn’t born to be lesbian, Morris wasn’t born to be married. They are each making a choice: and a wrong, wicked, evil choice as their choice starts with breaking a promise. Such is the sad state of our world that both of them will be accepted as normal, upstanding members of the society even though they are both demonstrating they can’t be trusted.
Donald Trump decided to name his Mrs “Melania T”, our replacement for “Jackie O”. Naturally, the left melted down. And that’s a good thing.

Though a good many priests and nuns who enter into their vocation stay for life, I don’t believe they are required to or in most cases profess to, as is typically done in marriage. Only that they’ll live according to the requirements of that vocation. Where this becomes a somewhat gray area is, how would a priest decide to inter into a marriage relationship that is highly unlikely for that relationship to gain momentum while they are a priest, if they’re living by their vows? Seems that doing so is in contradiction of the rules of their particular order. IF however, they left the priesthood for other reasons and some time after that they struck up a relationship then it could make more sense.
I too have seen a situation where a married man with children left his wife of many years to follow a relationship with another man. No doubt these individuals will make some claim to rationalize it by saying something like; “I need to be true to myself.” But of course, that’s just an excuse. The real hard part comes when the bottom falls out from under them when they realize, not only are they still not happy but they’re most like more depressed than ever. And, having cut off or severely disolved their relationship with their spouse and family, it’s likely they’ll feel isolated and near impossible to heal themselves or their family relationship. As with anyone in a state of despair, the only true way out is to turn back to God and hopefully there are good people to help with this if the person is willing.
jdge, I have read articles by a couple of men who left wives and children to “be true to themselves” who came to their senses, realized the damage they had done to innocent lives and the lack of honor they had shown, and returned to their early lives. They were still attracted to men, but understood that acting on that attraction after making the commitments they had made and becoming responsible for the lives of others, which they had done, meant that their personal honor meant not acting on those desires and impulses.
We are about 50 years into the society created by the 60s shift away from personal responsibility and dignity and discipline to “if it feels good, do it” and we are reaping the consequences.
It’s my firm belief that most Americans don’t realize the Left has spent over a century getting to where they are now. One of their few virtues, maybe the only one, is patience, and that patience has allowed them to re-write history when it suited their purposes, gain control of most of our education system, most of our un-elected bureaucracy, most of the big banks, most of the print and broadcast news media, most of the entertainment industry, and a good portion of our judicial system, although Trump has been reversing the latter with record speed, at least at the federal level. In spite of all that massive rigging of the system, Democrats have only controlled the House of Representatives (the People’s House) 5 of the last 25 years, and they’ve only won 5 of the last 13 Presidential elections. Let that sink in for a moment.
But there is a new generation, what’s often referred to as the “I want it now” generation, that doesn’t appear to have the patience of their predecessors. They want very much to turn the civil war hot, but they’ve got a self-inflicted dilemma — most of them have been taught that guns are evil, and very few even know which end of the tube the round comes out of. And the vast majority of them have no idea they have been brainwashed into eventually accepting their inevitable roll as cannon fodder.
I still believe, in spite of their ineptitude, they will fire the first shot of the next civil war. Many believe they already have, in the attack on the Republican Congressmen and Senators at the congressional charity baseball practice two years ago this past Friday. One of my favorite T-shirts says “NEVER PUSH A MAN TO VIOLENCE WHO HAS BEEN WAITING FOR AN EXCUSE TO USE IT.” I daresay there are millions of well-armed, American patriots who subscribe to that. I’m reminded of an email I got a while back that said something like, “100 million Americans own nearly half a billion guns and 12 trillion rounds of ammunition. If we were the problem, you’d know it.” So I say to all those idealistic Millennials who have no tolerance for those of us who believe differently than they do, be very careful what you wish for.

It’s easy for the Left to be patient, because they know that they have secured the future in their favor. Conservatives should have been uprising in grave concern when the Left had their revolution in the sixties. Conservatives have no control or influence in academia. No worries for them, they just sit back and wait for the next election. And it’s obvious that at some point in the future, their dictatorship will become a reality.
What I don’t understand is why people can’t see this, and act to halt it. It just blows my mind.
A good analogy is like, is like a group of hunters, fully armed to the teeth, who are all in the African plains, and they see a whole pride of nothing but male lions coming at them, running, and no one raises their rifle, and they all are killed by the lions. That’s kind of what it’s like.

That’s what happens when your goal is not to advance civilization but simply push the cultural envelope. I can’t begin to imagine what’s next. I guess I won’t take Dish Network up on their offer of free HBO for 90 days.
HBO is openly telling young people who watch their crap that it is expected and normal that they will be irresponsible hedonistic libertines engaging in random sex, drug use and violence. At the same time, Teen Vogue is promoting prostitution by defending and glamorizing sex for money and some state (I forget which) just passed a law saying it is OK to provide or facilitate abortions for underage minors without parental notification.
This is all under the direction of the cultural arm of the Left, while its political arm is busy simultaneously pushing the Cloward and Pivens strategy, flooding the nation with people who will make so many demands on our system that without reining this in will result in its collapse while its members in Congress are pushing for more and more government intrusion and control over our lives including massive expenditures to further weaken the economy.
The social unrest arm is still advocating racial disharmony finding “racism” in everything while promoting other divisive and corrosive memes such as multigenderism in its many constantly mutating forms and, of course, celebrating its core sacrament, abortion.
The public relations arm is active in activities such as trying to keep the Mueller report alive, engaging in relentless character assassination of Trump and others on the Right, and simply redefining terms so they can clam that calling the murder of human beings murder is somehow “blasphemous” and being unacceptable to the Left amounts to committing “treason”.
Meanwhile we have a President that pays for sex with prostitutes while his wife is at home with his infant son. Family values.

This president, as president, has not to anyone’s knowledge had sex with any woman other than his wife. Period.
This president, over a decade ago, apparently did have sex with a woman, or women, to whom he was not married. There is no indication he paid for this, or that the women were actual prostitutes.
As so often happens, it appears that this president has made the decision to be a different kind of man, and evidently has changed his ways. This is to be admired.
But to a dedicated hater suckling incessantly at the teats of the lying Left, the lies will always taste better than the truth, so Simon rushes in here hoping we will not notice his own total lack of character as he lies about that of another.
And he seems to equate the private sexual activity of a man in his fifties with the public promotion of sexual activity in children by the use of visual pornography masquerading as entertainment, presented on television and specifically targeting teens.
Let me put it this way, Simon. Even if the president were having the Secret Service bringing prostitutes and groupies right into the White House for the sexual pleasure of the president, as JFK and Bill Clinton did, I would still find it less offensive than a company openly trying to encourage children to engage in random, casual, sexual encounters by promoting this through the media as desirable activities for young people—-that is, casual sex, group sex, perverted sex, homosexual sex and all accompanied by drug use, showing full frontal nudity, group nudity and graphic sex scenes, and/or portraying prostitution as normal and acceptable and even a good way to make a living.
Fortunately, this president, unlike the two great heroes of the Democrat Party I cited above, has not been using the White House as a brothel.
So the allegation goes – but, no proof of it. Nothing like, say, “I didn’t have sexual relations, with that woman, Monica Lewinsky”…with the finger wagging and the fake outrage.
What is interesting about Simon’s whine is the leaps he has made from a fact—sex with a woman who is in sex movies—to the extrapolation that she was not only a “prostitute” but that he paid her. Note the shift from a loose woman pursuing a rich, famous and powerful man to a man so desperate for sex that he has to pay prostitutes. I attribute that to Simon’s own sad twisted world view and possibly what he sees in a mirror, as I haven’t heard it from anyone else.
This is the kind of exaggeration and extrapolation the Left pulls all the time. From a vague belief that somehow someone in the Trump campaign spoke with someone in Russia to TRUMP contacting someone in Russia to Trump contacting someone in the Russian government to Trump talking with a Russian AGENT to Trump conspiring with Putin himself—each lie built upon the last, which was based on another, and so on, until the final version can barely be tracked down to the kernel of supposition that started it.
But the final lie, the composite of all the lies that went before it, then becomes a foundation for hysterical demands that Trump be impeached. And these howls come from people who think impeachment means removal from office, when in fact all it means is that a certain number of people get together and point their collective finger and screech “I ACCUSE you!” Very melodramatic, assuring plenty of camera time for the egomaniacs and fame whores, and very gratifying for those yearning to have their fantasies about Trump played out on a national stage.
Bill Clinton set the moral and ethical bar so low, accusations (and that’s all it is) of sexual misconduct have no impact anymore.

A two year exhaustive investigation by the nations “top prosecutor” found nothing, yet the Demos are still interviewing people trying to find something. They have never NAMED a crime. Obstruction of justice is a crime, but it has to be based on a predicate crime—that is, an actual, named, crime has to be the foundation of an effort to impede an investigation INTO THAT CRIME. Without that original, named, crime any “investigation” is no more than a Beria-like effort to find something that can be used to retroactively create a crime.
And we don’t condemn people because we can’t prove that they did not do something. If that is the criterion, then we have a nation of murderers, pedophiles, fraudsters and criminals of every stripe and description. For example, we have no proof that Robert Mueller did not rape his sister or rob a bank. Does that mean he is guilty of these heinous acts? Using the “logic” of the Left, as applied to Trump and the lack of proof that he committed a crime, then yes, it does.

Soaring temperatures are becoming more frequent and according to the study, will only get worse in the years to come.

I can’t think of a more hedonistic, selfish expectation than universal health care. In a nutshell, what the proponent demands is that someone else take care of them when needed. Their expectation is that someone else will be forced to care for them in their time of need and of course the government can not do this. The only thing the government can do is issue a piece of paper that will be increasingly worthless as more and more pieces of paper are issued and less and less health care professionals stay in the profession. It’s really not hard to figure out. What I don’t understand is how they think they have the right to expect something from someone else. Where does that come from?
On a some what related issue, isn’t it ironic that the candidate who took $429,000 salary from Harvard for teaching one class is speaking out on the dangers of high student debt? Do you think she connected the dots on that one?
The sheeple supporting the Left–that is, the ideology-blind brain dead followers, not the cunning schemers and planners—constantly conflate “health care” with plans to pay health care providers. Insurance is not health care—-it is a contract between a client and a company, in which the company agrees, in exchange for a fee, to compensate health care providers. But Obamacare and so on are all presented as actual health care, not simple manipulations of contracts.
Doctors are already bailing out of an overwhelmed Medicare/Medicaid system, refusing to treat people whose care is paid for through those systems, because the payments are so small and poorly administered. On the other side of the coin, both systems are victims of multi-billion dollar graft and theft schemes, typical of government-run anything.
Add another two or three hundred million to an already overburdened, underperforming system that is already understaffed and you have a recipe for yet another Leftist disaster.
Which reminds me—-have you noticed the media about-face on the VA? Lately all you ever read about is glowing reviews and praise. Does anyone really think the VA did a 180 and started providing good, timely care? What happened to cause this amazing turnaround, and why isn’t the turnaround the subject of reports? My guess—because there isn’t one, never has been, but the instructions to the media are to play up the VA to set the stage for forcing all of us into VA-type health care.
