Do liars like to lie? I can only assume so, especially of late. Earlier today, I came across a Twitter thread from a blue-checked Never Trump Bulwark person who was asserting:
1. Ford’s story was credible.
2. Reade’s story was ridiculous on its face.
Got that? Ford, who couldn’t remember where or when it happened and had no evidence that she so much as met Kavanaugh is credible while Reade’s story is asserted to be ridiculous. And don’t you wanna know why? Because after Bob Packwood all the Senators were on their best behavior and there never has been a case of Biden acting inappropriately around women! How does one work up the gumption for such an assertion? I mean, the guy is routinely on camera being inappropriate with women. We can only imagine how he is when there’s no one watching. And yet the blue-checked person makes the assertion. Could Reade be lying? Of course she can be – but to make out that she’s an obvious liar while Ford is just as obviously telling the truth is…well…a rather amazing thing to say.
It is amazing because the person saying it – having the mental ability to type a coherent sentence, and thus isn’t a drooling idiot – knows that the assertion is ridiculous and, further, they also know that everyone reading it knows it is ridiculous. In other words, they are lying, they know they are lying, they know you know they are lying…and they further know that not a single person on their side will take note of the lie. They’ll either have the hardihood to agree (and thus join in the lie) or if they are of a more delicate sort, they’ll stay silent. But no one on the side of the Dems/Left/NeverTrump will ever contradict it. I did, of course. And so did many others…but we’re of the right and thus we’re racist, sexist, homophobic closet Nazis who don’t count.
Washington State got conned out of millions in unemployment money by Nigerians. It is, as yet, unknown if a Nigerian prince was involved. Its not so much that our Ruling Class is arrogant and corrupt…it is that they are no good. They suck. Winston Churchill once wrote about how to deal with a Prime Minister:
The loyalties which center upon number one are enormous. If he trips, he must be sustained. If he make mistakes, they must be covered. If he sleeps, he must not be wantonly disturbed. If he is no good, he must be pole-axed.
Our rulers are no good.
The New York Times puts its obituary notices on the front page to make you all feel bad about Trump. I guess it didn’t occur to them that hardly anyone reads their paper…but, be that as it may, they also got some of the names wrong. Once again: our betters are just lousy at their jobs.
The ChiComs are in the process of crushing the last remnant of liberty in Hong Kong. I do feel for the people of Hong Kong, but there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. Only a war could change this result, and no one is going to go to war with China over Hong Kong. Only thing I can think to do is to pass a law saying that if you have proof of Hong Kong citizenship as of, say 1/1/20, you get refugee status in the United States, no questions asked.
WHO is trying to burnish its image by sending out as goodwill ambassador…the wife of China’s President. Its like they aren’t even trying any more: “yep, we’re stooges of the ChiComs and we’re laughing about it.”
Outside of Biden’s “you ain’t black” comment, there’s really more for Team Joe to worry about here:
Charlamagne tha God — the black radio host to whom presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden notoriously said, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re voting for me or Trump, then you ain’t black” — warned that Democrats will face a “voter depression” problem in November, thanks to their likely presidential nominee. He said the best apology is pro-black policies and it’s time for black voters to put the burden on Democrats to win their votes, not take them for granted.
“Well, on top of possible Russian interference and voter suppression, Dems have to worry about voter depression, and that’s people staying home on Election Day because they just aren’t enthused by the candidate,” Charlamagne tha God told MSNBC host Joy Reid.
There’s some stuff out there which indicates that things aren’t going too well for the Democrats. Not just things like fundraising, the GOP win in the CA25 special and voter registration shifts…there’s also some indications that younger voters, including young black (especially male) and young Latino voters are warming up to Trump. Don’t get me wrong – Trump isn’t about to win 50% or even 30% of the black vote. But there are some indications he could get to 20%. That would be more than double his African-American support from 2016. That would be catastrophic for the Democrats…if Trump does well among African-Americans and Latinos, not only will Biden not be able to flip MI and PA, he’ll lose NM and NV, into the bargain. We won’t know it until we know it: we’re really going to have to wait for election day on this one…so much has been shifting so fast, no one can really say. But I’m wondering if Biden isn’t a Democrat version of Barry Goldwater?
They aren’t precisely liars. They are people who no longer believe in ‘the’ truth but instead only ‘my truth’ or ‘your truth’. They don’t believe in objective truth, that there is actually a reality that isn’t defined based on the observer.
In other words, they believe the truth to be whatever supports their point of view. I don’t know how we ever advance as a civilization when a substantial portion of the population possesses such a belief combined with an obsession for power. Sooner or later the people who would advance their vision based on lies must be defeated or we end up like a bad dystopian movie.
We aren’t in one right now? At least some states are. Michigan surely feels that way.
What’s interesting, or maybe a more appropriate word would be frightening, about liars (and I’m talking here about people who lie to achieve power) is that they have two standard backup positions. The first is to continue to lie to cover up the previous lies, and when all else fails, use force to achieve their goals. The one thing they virtually all have in common is that they NEVER, EVER give up. Depending on when you believe the Progressive movement started, we’ve in at least the fifth or sixth generation of Progressives. Early Progressives knew they were just a step in the process, but Progressives have always believed in the long game. I guess the question comes down to whether or not they can disarm the general population before seizing power by force. I don’t believe they will ever achieve it by lying. I also don’t believe they will be able to disarm America by force. Their only hope is that they can convince the vast majority of gun owners to voluntarily give up their weapons, and I do think that’s a distinct possibility at some point in the future.
Well again they have all been lying for over a decade now so this isn’t really news. Remember, “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”?
Democrats have long abandoned decency and truth and are on a mission to “fundamentally transform” this country just as Obama promised in 2009. It’s still going on. Here’s a headline from the NYT today:
New York Times on Memorial Day: The U.S. Military Celebrates White Supremacy
Not exactly a heart warming message to unify this country as they say they want to do, right? I am now taking to the MSNBC Facebook page and blasting them …. below is what I posted this weekend:
One thing that should be crystal clear by now but evidently the folks at MSNBC are still missing it … is that the majority of Americans despise all of you. Every single MSNBC host and contributor has spent the last three years knowingly lying to their viewers and the American public and pushing a false narrative aimed at sowing public discord and distrust and removing an elected President of an opposing party. They colluded with deep state bureaucrats in the FBI and the DOJ who were operating at the direction of Obama and Biden, and that’s banana republic type shit kids. See you think you’re still dealing with weak conservatives like George Bush and John McCain and their former acolytes like Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt but you are not. Now you’re dealing with us. Conservatives who did look the other way while you destroyed people like Wallace, Schmidt, Bush, and McCain but we are now no longer willing to take your shit and look the other way. You see now, we are going to take your pile of social engineering and identity political garbage and shove it right down your throats.
We’re in the midst of one of the nicest Memorial Days in recent memory — 87 degrees and sunny. Our seemingly endless March is finally in the rear view mirror. I want to take this occasion to thank and honor Mark and any other military veterans who may frequent this blog for their service.
Ditto on what Spook said. And just a tad warmer here in AZ ☀️🌵😁
While scanning some various YouTube videos, this young man who became a gun advocate caught my attention. He’s informed, well spoken, articulate and easy to listen to. It’s interesting where he discusses how he went from an anti-gun perspective to a pro-gun perspective, and how this formed the trajectory of his career. It’s easy to see why he has numerous videos, even with some in the media who are generally on the left of the political spectrum. I find the personal changes he underwent highly relevant to the kind of enlightenment I’d like to see a whole lot of people awaken to, especially young people, in relation to various political discussions.
I have seen this guy several times on Tucker Carlson and he is great. Dave Rubin is a good one too
Here’s the latest and there is more to come. This will be fun to watch unfold ….
6. The Democrat propaganda campaign
Democrat lawmakers were well aware that there was no evidence of collusion with Russia — but that did not stop them from lying to the American people virtually non-stop for more than three years. The recently-released transcripts from the House Intelligence Committee probe into Russia’s election meddling, for instance, show that Representative Adam Schiff falsely claimed to have proof of collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign despite knowing full well that his own star witnesses had claimed just the opposite.

The list of things prompting disgust seems to be getting longer and longer. Today it is the utter insanity of continuing to call riots “protests”. The latest round of riots is, allegedly, to protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
It seems pretty clear that he was murdered—or, without the clear intent to kill him, at least killed through callous negligence. The men responsible have been fired. The FBI has been called in to investigate a civil rights violation. They will probably serve time in a federal prison—the decision by city officials to call this a civil rights violation and bring in the FBI moves it out of state jurisdiction and makes it a federal crime. So what is the purpose of the “protests”? The only other thing that could be done would be to immediately put the officers in jail, but I have a feeling that would not appease the mobs, who riot because, well, that’s what they do.
I believe that if the four officers were summarily hanged and then hung from the wall of the police department for all to see this would not make a difference. There is a riot mentality, and it just lurks until there is an alleged reason to set it off.
I’m tired of it, and I’m even more tired of the wishy-washy murmurings of the word “protest” even by people like Shannon Bream.
Nothing brings about justice faster than a stolen 65″ TV.
Rush: “in Minneapolis you can get arrested for opening a store but not for looting one.”
How much “justice” can looting a Dollar Tree bring?
An unarmed white male was shot and killed by police near me last week and no Target store was ever raided. Is raiding Target stores a black thing?
MSNBC finally found a valid reason to get outside and not socially distance – rioting. And in MN, more people have participated in riots in the last 3 days then those that have died due to the virus.
VDH nails just about every significant sordid detail of the Obama years.
I especially liked these two sentences:
There will be little if anything that will surprise me in regards to the illegal offenses orchestrated by Obama and members of his administration, along with the corrupt media. In fact, I highly suspect there will be a great deal more that is every as damaging than what’s already been exposed. What anyone who seeks justice wants to know is, will there be reckoning her on earth and what will it look like, or will that have to wait until the next life?
The paragraph after Spook’s quote is:
We were supposed to see a fundamental transformation of the country between 2009 and 2025, as the Obama-Clinton 16-year regnum finally made America right and correct. Instead, we witnessed eight years that ended in scandal whose full dimensions of criminality will take years to process.
It turns out the first phone call weaponized by Democrats was Michael Flynn’s call with Kisliyak.
What an absolute imbecile.
” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) requested on Thursday that “protesters” in the City of Lakes practice social distancing and wear masks to reduce coronavirus transmission.”
“The City encourages everyone to exercise caution to stay safe while participating in demonstrations, including wearing masks and physical distancing as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” the statement reads. “The City has made hundreds of masks available to protesters this week.”
First, as explained here many times, these are not “protesters” but rioters intent on destruction of other people’s & public property. Second, anyone who decides to go to this level of destruction couldn’t care less about any policy of wearing mask and social distancing in public. I wonder what it will take to get these quacks out of office.
I’m really sick and tired of this whole “institutionalized racism” crap. I believe that for the most part Americans have moved well beyond skin color to behavior—that is, judging people by how they act, not by how they look. This is inconvenient for the Left, as it puts the responsibility for how one is seen, or how a group is seen, right back where it belongs.
So if we have a demographic that allows itself to be defined and described by acts like rioting, violence against itself and against authority and mindless “protests” like refusing to respect the flag or acting out silliness like “hands up, don’t shoot” the response of seeing this demographic as lacking intelligence or the ability to function in a civilized society is not the fault of the observer. The observers did not create the events and actions that have led to the observation. If the members of that demographic don’t like the labels that come with these kinds of actions, it is up to THEM to stop the behavior that has led to them.
In the case of the death of George Floyd, it looks like there are some legitimate reasons to be upset and demand action. But the action has to be specifically related to what happened. That is, probably the police department that allowed someone who has shown the psychological profile and work history of the accused policeman to continue working as a cop, the policeman himself and the three other cops who stood by and let him abuse the man in custody. Period. It has nothing to do with anything in Los Angeles, or the president, or any other target of this riot mentality.
Fortunately, a few sane black voices are recognizing the dangers of having the rioters setting the tone for how black people, and their concerns, are being perceived. But it’s too few voices, too late. They should have been talking to their people about the need to be focused and relevant, back when moronic athletes were virtue signaling to their SJW audiences by blaming the United States, as represented by the flag and the national anthem, for things as unrelated as some alleged police brutality in Detroit or, as poor sappy Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos wailed, because “it’s hard to be a minority”. They should have been scolding “stop making fools of yourselves running around waving your arms in the air hollering “hands up, don’t shoot” when you haven’t even looked at the facts”. They should have clarified that Trayvon Martin had, in fact, reached the safety of his father’s condo, put down his Skittles and gone back out looking for the man he had seen to engage in some gay-bashing because he was a bully. They have passed up opportunity after opportunity to lead their people away from blind hatred and stupidity and creating the impression of being mindless savages, because they put political correctness and political agendas ahead of truth and reason and their responsibility as black leaders. NOW they are squeaking about how these riots are getting in the way of rational discourse. Gee, do ya think?
The single biggest obstacle to moving beyond old racial divisions is the refusal of so many black people to let it happen. We as human beings can look back at hundreds of horrible abuses of people, ranging from the practice of burning people alive for refusing to adopt Henry VIII’s separation from the Catholic Church to the horrible treatment of American prisoners of war by the Japanese to Missouri’s anti-Mormon Extermination Order (“… “the Mormons must be treated as enemies, and must be exterminated or driven from the State if necessary…”) which was still in place till June 25, 1976 and so on, and in all these instances people have realized they can’t change history, they can’t go back and undo things no matter how horrible they were, and all they can do is move forward and try to be better people.
But there is a segment of American society—and it IS American, not existing anywhere else—that steadfastly clings to old grievances, that refuses to accept the fact that there is no way to change what happened in the past, that has some deep-seated pathological need to wallow in negative and self-destructive reliving of past abuses, that clings stubbornly to a belief that it is owed something because of what other people had to deal with, that is emotionally dependent on a sense of being wronged every day in every way, and that defines itself by its sullen hatred and resentment of an Invented Other.
