In Michigan, Greg and Kjersten Offbecker have removed the Norwegian flag flying outside of their bed and breakfast, the Nordic Pineapple. The couple purchased the historic mansion two years ago and converted it to a bed and breakfast. They’ve flown the Norwegian flag along with the American flag out front.
Unfortunately, (and because our public education system is mostly hot, stinky garbage), the Offbecker’s have removed the Norwegian flag as far too many people have confused it with the Confederate Battle Flag…

It sorta looks like Kamala will be Joe’s VP pick – though some are still fighting against it. I don’t think anyone on Team Biden really wants here – or anyone who rises above complete non-entity. Everyone expects Biden to kick the bucket long before 2024…and probably most of Joe’s closest aides figure it is baked in, as well. But they’ll want to hold on to power as long as possible, and that means picking a VP that no one wants…so that until Biden’s carcass is carried out of the Oval Office, no moves will be made to replace him.

Anyone else heard the breaking news that U.S. GDP fell nearly 33% in the 2nd quarter? MarketWatch clarifies it as an annual rate, seasonaly adjusted, but most news reports are just saying the economy plunged by a third. I’m getting so tired of the constant dishonesty of the media.
I have taken all “news” accounts with a grain of salt until I could verify accurateness of the article–that is both sides of the aisle with the left requiring a much larger grain size; nevertheless, I find it a new low for a former President to take pot shots at President Trump at the funeral service for Democratic Georgia Rep. John Lewis.
By all rights he was a great man and a major player in the advancement of equal rights. Did not agree with many of his postilions on other matters but was that poor behavior called for? Of course I could never understand why he was a Democrat either after how they screwed the blacks since the dawn of times.

Example: When George Floyd was killed, was that a “police action” or an illegal act committed by a police officer? Because there is a difference. After all, if a uniformed officer robs a bank, that is not a “police action” even if he was on duty at the time. I think it was obvious that Chauvin had a personal attitude toward Floyd that led to his unnecessary extended restraint. But he did not do that as an extension of a policy of his department.
And there is no indication Floyd was killed because he was black. Being killed if you are black is kind of like dying and then being found positive for COVID 19—–at that point the official “cause of death” is the one most politically advantageous. “Dead AND black” instantly becomes “Dead BECAUSE he was black” just as “Died WITH Covid” becomes “Died OF Covid.”.
I’ve been sensitive to Semantic Manipulation for a very long time now, as well as Semantic Infiltration (which is when everyone starts to use the manipulated phrase).

And again allow me to be the contrarian …. I am not sure why we are celebrating a career politician. John Lewis was a divisive career politician who arguably left his district in worse shape then when he arrived to represent them 33 years ago. There’s no argument that the country is in worse shape today then when he got there in 1987, so again, what’s to celebrate? Did John ever step up and say “for the sake of unity let’s give President Trump a chance” – hell no. In fact John Lewis called Trump a racist every chance he got. Aside from being with MLK, which to me was nothing more than opportunistic move by Mr. Lewis, he occupied a government seat for 33 years excluding everyone else in his district from having that opportunity themselves. So I see nothing to celebrate here, I’m just happy that everyone else in his district now has a chance to represent their district after he excluded them for 33 years. RIP John

I only have one vivid recollection of John Lewis, and that’s when Republicans and Democrats were arguing on the amount of increase in the school lunch program back in the mid-90’s (not whether to cut it but how much to increase it). Lewis stood up on the House floor and shouted, “the Republicans are coming for your children!” Like the rest of you, I’m hard-pressed to remember anything he did that was good — even for his black constituents.

(2) Lies about the methods of treatment of the virus and its side effects are also being debunked. and the freak-out overreaction of the Establishment to this is quite telling. Yesterday Sebastian Gorka interviewed, at length, one of the doctors who did the Front Line Doctors Summit,and his commentary was fascinating. He talked about the success in using Hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, but more the point he talked about (A) its safety, and (B) its efficacy as prophylactic. He quoted a woman from an African nation where malaria is rampant, who said “we take it every Sunday”. That struck me as an odd comment until the doctor explained that all through Africa and many other countries HCQ is available over the counter and is routine taken to avoid becoming ill from malaria.
I thought that was interesting as a statement about the drug’s safety, but then the doctor talked about the extremely low prevalence of COVID-19 in populations where prophylactic use of HCQ is common, and that really got my attention.
He also said that most doctors don’t even do heart testing before prescribing HCQ and heart issues are so rare they are not a real concern.
OK, that is all interesting
But what has my attention now the frantic, shrill and hysterical stampede by the Establishment to deride these doctors, to ridicule them, to do everything possible to shut them up and, failing that, to discredit them. USA Today bases most of its sneers on the fact that these doctors are not RESEARCHERS but just regular doctors basing their opinions on observations. Again, we see the snap-back to the dependence on the Elites, with the “right” Ivy League credentials, ignoring the evidence of people actually doing the work.
The doctors had a press conference on the steps of the Supreme Court building, and this video has been scrubbed from most online sites.

Now it seems to me that if these doctors have found some information that is valuable, even if only in some circumstances,honest people with the welfare of the population at heart would be happy to learn it and fold it into the general body of knowledge about how to deal with the virus. The rage and hostility these doctors are experiencing, and the massive efforts to discredit them, tell me a lot about the underlying political need to keep this virus so threatening to Americans that we have to keep hiding from it and destroying our economy and living in fear..
In other words, to continue being sacrificed to the political agenda of the Left.

I’ve got that video on in the background and think that Dr. Erickson, who comes on at 1:19, is the doctor interviewed by Sebastian Gorka yesterday. I highly recommend at the very least going to this segment.
He points out that the hysteria about the number of “cases” reported is really only the number of positive tests, NOT the number of people who are sick. He says that 99.8 % of those who test positive have little or no progression of the disease.
Listen to this man.
This virus is a scam of epic proportions and eerily demonstrated how easy the population is to control.
If we ever learn the truth of COVID-19 as it pertains to the U.S., I suspect we’re going to find that (1) the number of cases and the number of deaths attributed to the virus were grossly overstated; (2) the reason for this was mostly political or incompetence or a combination of the two; and (3) many of the deaths that WERE from the virus were completely preventable. Look at Taiwan by comparison: it is the 17th most densely populated country on the planet with a population of 23.6 million, less than 500 cases of COVID-19 and 7 deaths. What did they do or are doing that we didn’t?

I had one Bronco game on TV since the kneeling antics of the team, and that was when my brother was visiting and wanted to watch the game. I used to love going to the Rockies games—no more. I have never been a basketball fan but hope those who do love the game will be turned off by the overt support by most players for Marxism.
When I was a kid, there was a joke kids thought was funny: Little Johnny is walking along and sees Billy peering at the sidewalk. He asks why, and Billy says he dropped a quarter, so Johnny says he will help look for it. After a while, Johnny says “Are you sure you dropped it here?” and Billy says no,he dropped it farther up the street. “Then why are you looking for it here?”
“Because the light is better here” responds Billy.
This is how I see the athletes and fellow virtue signalers, The question can be rephrased from “Why are you looking here?” to “Why are you disrespecting the anthem and the flag when your complaints don’t have anything to do with national policy?” But the answer would be the same: “Because the light is better here.” In this case, “light” means “cameras”.
So if the problem is lack of fathers in the homes, so young men grow up with no respect for authority and exhibit this in their relations with police, leading to their deaths as they violently resist arrest, a truly concerned black athlete would be there in the heart of the community, relating to the boys, using his influence to balance the lack of fathers, But there are no cameras there. There is no publicity there. And it would mean sacrificing time and energy that could be spent jet skiing and partying and enjoying the fruits of fame and wealth.
This is, in general, why I have such contempt for these people. They are phonies, they are hypocrites, they are shallow and superficial publicity whores. If there is any value in their complains, it is lost in the muck of their posturing for the cameras.
Add to this they are expressing support for a political system based on undermining and destroying the very framework of the United States and replacing it with tyranny.
Why is my Government spending so much time & effort to lie to me? Better yet, why do the people tolerate it? Best guess is a quote from “Men in Black”: A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it.
My latest peeve is one I have had for a while and no matter how much digging can I find an honest answer. There is a world of difference between “hospitalized for and hospitalized with”. Same with died from (primary cause) and died with (secondary cause).
Every time I find information that shows with “Science & Data” that this (COVID-1984) is a nasty, highly contagious bug–it is no more deadly than a serious flu–it gets scrubbed and the talking heads blame me for everything. Even I realize and have from the start that most of the data is basically GIGO.
I never have and will never trust “Government” and believe it should be reduced by about 90% with the remaining 10% chained to protect the “People”; nevertheless, there are good people trying to do the right thing in Government but just like the teachers “refusing” to return to the classroom–time to pull a Reagan and fire all of them. Then pick and choose who get rehired after dismantling the public teachers union.
