QANON – don’t know much about this group but I find it interesting that Republicans and particularly Kevin McCarthy quickly denounced it after being grilled on it by the Complicit Media. Why haven’t Democrats denounced Antifa? Why haven’t they even been asked about it? And if QANON is a shadowy group of people who oppose pedophilia and satanism – why is that a bad thing? And in light of Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein, is it really a stretch of the imagination to think that there might be an extensive global pedophilia ring? I don’t think so.
DNC Convention – do Democrats really think that there are still just simple policy differences separating the two parties? Does Biden really think Democrats still appeal to “blue collar workers”? The DNC convention was a spectacle of truly miserable people who suffer from delusions of self grandeur but have zero reason for it. Their incompetence has become universally acknowledged. No American has to wonder what a Biden Presidency would look like because it is playing out in real time in Seattle, Portland, Chicago, and NY. This is how they govern. Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago just issued an edict banning protestors from her neighborhood because it “puts her family in jeopardy”. Lori didn’t have the presence of mind to consider that her incompetence a d governance puts her constituents lives in danger everyday, but again, she doesn’t care and that too is a staple of Democrat governance. They don’t care about Americans. They only care about their power and their ideology.
COVID – so the plan was too “flatten the curve” right? Well, no new deaths in NY yesterday and just 3,600 new cases nationwide and yet we are still wearing masks aren’t we? In fact in California yesterday, there was one new death and just 52 new cases and yet California is still on nearly complete lockdown. And the electrical grid is failing … just another feature of Democrat governance. So do you still think this is about “keeping people safe”???

I think the run-of-the-mill suburban Democrat doesn’t recognize voices like this as the new voice of their party. I think they see the rioters as some distant anomaly that they don’t understand but is probably well-intentioned but their party as the party of fairness and equality and inclusiveness, the necessary opposite of the relentless badness of the Invented Other of the Right. I believe that once that bubble of illusion bursts, it will be like pulling the plug and a significant number will move away from the party.
Naturally, the Republican Party will not be there to welcome them, because the Republican Party has chosen to out-ugly the ugliness of the Left. Yes, we do need to fight back. Yes, we do need to be assertive and even aggressive when meeting the attacks from the Left. Yes, I am happy to have a president who will fight back. But right now, in this time and place, I think it is time to develop a more nuanced strategy. That is, to have a few surrogates out there doing battle but have the face of the party, the president, shifting into more of a Reaganesque Happy Warrior mode. He doesn’t need to “go after” Joe Biden. Joe Biden is his own worst enemy, and surrogates can handle the dirty work.
I think the president should be upbeat and project optimism as he discusses, not the many failures of Joe Biden but the upward arc of the American economy and health. He should be pointing out that only a vibrant and booming economy could start to rebound so quickly and so dramatically after taking such a hit as ours has taken the first part of this year,.
And the only negative message from the president should be not about Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris, but about the Left. He should use, MUST use, his bully pulpit to educate the American people about the tactics and strategies of the Left. Now is the time for him to talk about the need for the Left to have a vulnerable society to enable its rise, and how it will create chaos and instability if they do not already exist to pave the way for its expansion. Now is the time to point out that the rise in violence and anarchy is directly related to the increased stability of the American culture and economy and society in general, as the Left’s efforts to splinter us into warring factions of race and gender have been failing and the Left has had to up its game and increase its efforts. It is time to connect the dots, and the president, inarticulate as he so often is, is the person to do this.
And THIS is what it will take to separate the decent Americans who still happen to vote for Democrats away from the New Democrat Party. Pointing out that the divisive topics in our country over the past few years have actually been part of the Left’s strategy to destabilize our nation, our culture and our economy so it can gain power is absolutely essential, and it is not being done. Ideally, the GOP would be working on the old Big Tent concept that made it so great, offering solutions and ideas and optimism and an actual functional way of living to contrast with the hatred and divisiveness and constant conflict of the Democrats. As it is, Dems who leave their party are more likely to be “Independents” floating around in an indecisive political limbo.
The president likes to brawl. Then let him take on the International Left, which is the real danger here.
I agree on the convention. After the dystopian cliche riddled DNC convention, the RNC has a great opportunity to promote this great country in the grandeur she deserves. Trumps should let others detail his list of accomplishments as well as detailing the failures of Democrats, while Trump focuses on what comes next with a big vision speech steeped in American tradition and patriotism. That would be a stark difference of what we just witnessed last week.

I haven’t paid any attention to this until I learned about a candidate for the House from a small town in western Colorado and checked out her website and looked at the attacks on her. They seemed to focus on claims that she “believes in” QANON.
My impression of QANON is that it started out as a pretty serious and even credible exposure of some information, and was quickly hijacked by those threatened by the revelations and observations who realized that since they couldn’t make it go away they could discredit it by adding lunacy to it to taint the serious origins.
But back to the candidate. Her name is Lauren Boebert, and I strongly recommend checking out her website https://laurenforcolorado.com and supporting her candidacy. She is everything the Left (and the GOP elites) hate: strong, energetic, a committed Constitutionalist and such a 2nd Amendment advocate she and her husband started an open-carry restaurant.
As we sit here and listen to Democrats whine about the current USPS and how it’s demise is an existential threat to our “democracy”, know that in 2015 Congress considered dismantling the USPS and that too was before an election.
Also Michael Steele just got done calling all Trump supporters stupid and yes of course racist. And then in the next sentence promoted the Biden Presidency as a chance to “unite the country”.

People like Steele define the term “Identity Politics”. If his political foundation was based on—if it even INCLUDED—-a commitment to a specific blueprint for governing the nation, he could not support someone who represents the antithesis of what the GOP is supposed to stand for and still have a legitimate claim to ever having really been a Republican.
One of the things we are seeing now is the stripping of Identity among people who have worn disguises for many years, revealing the voids beneath the assumed labels. We are seeing the shallowness and even frivolity of their prior self identification. If you can suddenly advocate for a system that is the opposite of the one you have claimed to believe in and support, just because you don’t like the PERSON now at the head of that system, that is a clear and unambiguous statement that your supposed commitment was superficial and not based on anything more serious than fanboi “liking”.

It’s time for the Right to use some of the tactics of the Left, and rephrase what is said. In other words, we should have headlines in our own pathetic efforts to communicate saying “81% of public school teachers in the United States favor the violent overthrow of our government and the installation of tyranny..” That is what BLM stands for, but we are so very very timid about calling them out on it.
And we have to remember, we can’t just use WORDS because the Left has sanitized the words we think have power. That is why “socialist” is no longer a powerful word—it has been emasculated, sanitized to now mean (in the minds of the ignorant) nothing more than “free” stuff. Its true meaning of a brutal and oppressive form of government has been successfully hidden behind a facade of fluff. Ditto for “Marxism”. When we call out the BLM for being Marxist, people simply do not understand what that means. To most people in this country it doesn’t mean anything more sinister than “socialist”.
We fail to understand that what we are seeing now is the result of careful and incremental undermining of important aspects of American life and culture and values accompanied by an equally careful building, step by step, of an illusion to replace it. What we have to do, if we are going to survive as a republic and a free nation, is stop letting them do it. That means STOP LETTING THEM DO IT.
Right now we have only one voice—that of Donald J. Trump. The rest of the Right has been silenced. Oh, we have our little echo chambers where we fuss at each other, but they have been effectively isolated and have little impact on the world outside them. Instead of “going after” Joe Biden we need to identify our real enemy and declare war on it—-in this case, the media. Every movement has an army, and in this case the Left’s army is the media. This is where the battles are being fought. And won.
Our opponent is not Joe Biden, any more than the symbol on a flag is the real danger and enemy in a war. It is not even the Democrat Party, which is merely the recently acquired tool and American identity of the International Left. Because we are not yet in a shooting war, we have to look at the army the Left is employing—and it is the army of the Complicit Agenda Media. This is where the battles are being fought., this is where we are losing. In a war you can kill your opponent, you can disable him so he can no longer fight, you can immobilize him through capture or even just fear or confusion, or you can convert him to your side. The Left doesn’t have to kill or even disable Americans. All they have to do is immobilize us through confusion or fear, or convince us to join them. And how are they doing that?
They control the message. And, as I said, right now the only voice that can be heard is that of the president. So I think HE has to say “One of the dangers faced by this country today is the information in the latest polls saying that 81% of the people teaching—guiding the thoughts—of our young people in our schools believe in the violent overthrow of our government and the installation of a rigid and tyrannical form of government to replace our own. This is where you, as parents, can do something. The ideology of Marxism is the overthrow of governments, by violence if necessary, to impose the rigid and tyrannical governance of radical Leftism. It is NOT about race. If it were, it would be spending its billions of dollars on doing something to help black people., instead of funding violent mobs trying to destabilize our society. No, it is a political movement, and in its disguise of fighting racism it has gained the support of corporations and people who think they are speaking out for racial justice. Few things matter more in this time of chaos and violent mobs and anarchy than finding out what your children are being taught.” And then go on to talk about the teachers trying to find ways to teach online without parents being able to listen in, or track what was said, clear messages that these teachers know they are teaching things the parents would not approve of.
Our impotence in the face of rising danger, our utter cluelessness as to the nature and source of that danger or at least of how to deal with it, is terrifying.
What Democrats have done to black Americans is beyond the pale. Democrats have intentionally destroyed the black community over the last 50 years for purely political reasons and it is criminal. They first put abortion clinics on every other corner in their neighborhoods, then came the liquor stores, followed by low income tenement housing. Secondly, they discouraged the family unit by offering lots of government financial incentives to be a single parent household. Then they forced their kids into inferior schools and an inferior education, and now thru “no cash bail” and “defund the police” efforts, Democrats are teaching black people to ignore the law because there will be no consequences.
This is all unfolding before our eyes and no one says anything. In WI last night here is how the Governor responded to a police incident:

Tony Evers (D) said, “While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country. We stand with all those who have and continue to demand justice, equity, and accountability for Black lives in our country.”
So in other words “we don’t know the details yet, but we do know the police over reacted”. Great support from the Governor and a great message to criminals. I wonder if the details include this man resisting arrest and fighting with officers?
Unfortunately this will not end until the black community as a whole rises up and says enough but what I see so far is that that is not going to happen any time soon. There is a victimization culture in the black community that is pervasive and everyday Democrats encourage and stoke that mindset. Someone needs to stand up and have the courage to call the Democrats and the Media out for destroying the black community. The backlash will be brutal, but this needs to be said.

And why would an anti pedophilia group be controversial??

If the FBI really thinks this vague, ephemeral possible-entity is really a “domestic terror threat” but isn’t worried about Antifa or BLM then we really do need to get rid of the FBI and start over.
Your questions are good—where is the “threat”? Are QAnon “people” marching into suburbs and screaming obscenities and telling people they have to move and leave behind their houses and cars and money as “reparations”?

Purely anecdotal, but we just got back from a 3-day visit to my youngest daughter in southern Michigan. Her boyfriend of nearly a decade (and we still hope future son-in-law) is a really great guy, honest, hard working, but a life-long Democrat. He’s worked his way up to foreman of a large commercial HVAC company/union shop over the course of 30 years and is responsible for a large geographic area in southwestern Michigan. When Trump was elected, my daughter ask me not to bring up politics around him because he hated Trump. I was shocked this weekend to hear him bring up Trump, and not in a bad way. He said he’s gone from Trump hater to Trump supporter over the last 3-1/2 years, all because of Trump’s policies that have made his life better, coupled with the Democrat Party going in a direction that he just can’t stomach.
I’m still waiting for ads going after the Left, with the general theme of “This is what you get when you elect Democrats”.
That, and a list of the things in which Joe Biden is complicit, given his silence at the time and since then and his admission that “silence is complicity”.
But mostly “This is what you get when you elect Democrats”. Riots, murders, elected officials who violate their oaths of office and refuse to uphold the law, dropping revenues in places like Colorado which has pretty much driven out the oil and gas industries, teachers upset that parents might be able to find out what they are teaching, not just homelessness but third-world levels of filth and disease on the streets of once-great cities, the disastrous decline of our economy thanks to the politically-driven weaponization of the covid virus, federal agencies spying on citizens, etc. A couple of months of this, nonstop, followed by a new campaign of “This is what you’ll get if you keep electing Democrats” and then more photos of more riots, more murders, fewer police officers, unchecked illegal immigration and associated drains on our welfare and educational systems, TRUE “systemic racism” as whites are kept out of universities and good jobs because of the color of their skin, increased anarchy as officials refuse to prosecute or jail criminals, higher taxes, lower productivity, higher costs of erratic power supplies, etc.

It was quite a sight and it’s obvious that the MSNBC panel is concerned that their parent company, the Democrat National Committee may be in a world of hurt this November.

Well I thought I would let you know that I have secured my new Montana ranch. Actually just an acre with a beautiful home and a huge detached garage in the Flathead Valley with lots of rivers, lakes and mountains to play in. Oh and not a lot of people – by design. Having grown up there, I look forward to spending more time back in the mountains. There is a kind of peace and tranquility that can be found there, and no where else.
Congratulations! I have thought of getting a winter place and decided I would rather be on a lake than a seashore. Being from Colorado, which is pretty dry, I like the idea of being on water. I have heard that Flathead Lake is amazing.

I’ve heard Flathead Lake is COLD! My sister and her husband live in Billings, and my brother-in-law is originally from Missoula and vacationed at Flathead Lake as a kid. They were here (northern Indiana) a few years ago, and I apologized for the water temperature in our pond only being 75. He said it felt like bathwater compared to Flathead Lake.
If you’re a skier, I can highly recommend Big Sky just north of Yellowstone. Great trout streams in the Beartooth Mountains too.
Western Montana is beautiful country and you’re right, Flathead Lake is amazing – 30 miles long and 15 miles wide at it’s widest point and it is COLD but in August it is refreshing. There are also quite a few smaller lakes in the area, Swan Lake, Echo Lake, Pederson Lake, etc. and you are all welcome

I can’t imagine the stresses of being a police officer in this hysterical and racist environment. If they allow a violent criminal with a history of domestic abuse get into a car with children in it and something happens to any of the children, a police officer will be excoriated and riots will ensue. If the officer uses deadly force because he thinks he is protecting the children by stopping the criminal from possibly taking them hostage, the same thing happens.
These days it’s not “Will there be riots?” but “What will be the excuse for riots?”
And notice everything that is skipped over in the narratives, such as “a BLACK man was involved in a domestic dispute” or “a BLACK man fought with police and then refused orders to stop or “a BLACK man with a history of violence and resisting arrest tried to enter a vehicle with children in it after ignoring police orders”—in other words, what is missing is the explanation for why it was a BLACK man who was shot. As if all that happened in the minutes leading up to the shooting were irrelevant, or did not occur at all.
No, the entire episode began when white cops shot a black man. Period.

Watching only a few minutes of the video in the link below will likely overwhelm your grasp of world events and provide an insight few of us are currently aware of. One reoccurring fact that stands out is the extent of relationships between a few powerful people with organizations that are commonly believed to be looking out for the interest of “the people” or organizations with names that appear to exist for the good of “the people” but are in fact paid for by these very same powerful groups, being used as propaganda fronts. Many of these included tax payer funded, government organizations.

It look like Congress might consider focusing on some things more important than drugs in professional sports and start looking at some serious issues like the ones presented in this link.
I haven’t had a chance to watch the video yet but this is not the first time I have heard of Fauci getting rich by using his connections with the CDC. The missing link is the use of the virus and subsequent panic to achieve political agendas, a link that might be in the video. Such a link should be the death knell for the Left in the United States.
I know I posted something about this earlier but I think it is so important it has to be repeated, over and over again. The State is now openly declaring that parents have no right to even KNOW what their children are being taught by their Left-wing teachers. The State is now openly admitting that it considers itself the primary authority of children, not the parents, who are supposed to be relegated to mere providers of basic needs while the State assumes all other roles and authority.
Remember, it was not long ago that some states passed laws allowing teachers or counselors to take girls as young as 12 in for abortions, even across state lines, without the knowledge much less consent of parents, and young girls were being taught in schools that they could not or should not trust their own parents with information like pregnancy but turn to those who truly cared about them—the agents of the State.

Parents of students who attend Rutherford County Schools (RCS) must agree not to monitor their child’s online classroom sessions.
Officials at all county schools are asking parents to sign forms agreeing not to watch these virtual classes.
The Tennessee Star received a copy of such a form this week.
“RCS strives to present these opportunities in a secure format that protects student privacy to the greatest extent possible, however because these meetings will occur virtually RCS is limited in its ability to fully control certain factors such as non-student observers that may be present in the home of a student participating in the virtual meeting,” according to the form.
“RCS strongly discourages non student observation of online meetings due to the potential of confidential information about a student being revealed.”
The form asks parents for their signature and warns that “violation of this agreement may result in RCS removing my child from the virtual meeting.”
RCS spokesman James Evans addressed the matter in an email to The Star this week.
“We are aware of the concern that has been raised about this distance-learning letter that was sent to parents. The intent was not to prevent parents from being involved with their children during distance learning, but it was intended to protect the academic privacy of other students in the classroom who are visible during certain virtual class sessions,” Evans said.
I think it is clear that the alleged “privacy” of students is not the issue here. It is the ability of the teacher to freely indoctrinate the students without the knowledge of the parents.
Many schools encourage parental involvement in schools, including parental volunteers in the classrooms. I have a friend who has volunteered to be an aide in the classrooms of all four of her children, at all ages. “Student privacy” has never been an issue before. I suppose there could be a concern that if a student is profane or violent his or her parents might find out about it, but wouldn’t that be a good thing?
This incremental but accelerating creep of authoritarianism into the lives of citizens must be recognized and halted and then reversed. It brings us closer and closer to absolute tyranny.
