One of the sure signs of an impending political disaster for a political party is a series of articles explaining why in spite of everything going to heck in a hand basket, this time everything will be different. Getting a lot of these articles about the Democrats. The best so far was one which asserted that even in an R+1 environment, the Democrats can hold the House. Its like they’re ignoring that the GOP only needs a net gain of 6 to take the House. If it was D+4 this GOP takeover is likely to happen…but with Pudding Brain sitting at around 42% in the polling aggregates, the best outcome for the Democrats right now is a net loss of about 30.

And the really curious thing is that the Democrats don’t seem to fully realize what’s coming for them – I mean the stalwarts and the pundits. The Democrat leadership does, its why we’re up to something like 28 or 29 House Democrats calling it quits: who wants to fight a hard battle only to wind up in a very powerless House minority in 2023? And that minority gets more powerless all the time – both parties guilty (though Democrats far more guilty) of reducing the minority’s ability to affect legislation. And now in 2023 will come the tit for tat removal of Democrats from committees. I really can’t explain the Democrats on this – with a razor thin majority, the time was to try to co-opt at least some GOPers…nothing doing: it has been all hard left. Could be, of course, that with the narrow majority the far Left Democrats are insisting and Nancy really can’t do anything else.

We’ll see how it comes out – but I don’t think Democrats can talk their way out of bare shelves and high gas prices.

We did some sort of raid into Syria. Supposedly to kill some terrorist mastermind – they say we got him, and also got some kids. I think the bad guys are making sure they’re always around kids and other non-combatants. Seems to me that we should pay a hitman to take these guys out – less expensive and less chance of killing kids when we do it. It is probably illegal for us to do that – but Congress has the power to grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal (though some treaties we’ve engaged in limit that), and I think we should go that route – even if it means denouncing some treaties. Let our intel agencies name the guys we want dead, put a price on it and then grant a Letter of Marque to anyone who wants to give it a shot – bring us proof the target is dead, collect the money. You’re on your own – get caught or killed, nothing will be done for you. Plenty of people would take us up on the offer.

Facebook is losing users. It is the most irritating social media platform I’m on. I only retain my account because it allows me to keep track of family and friends. But I have been suspended for the most mild political jokes posted. And my account is small, which means some narc who knows me – or knows someone who knows me – is monitoring my posts and reporting me. Others are even more irritated than I am. Facebook has a choice: be a platform which allows people to talk, or die. Personally, I think they’re going to die: like the MSM, their cultural imperatives are such that they can’t change.

Think of Joe Rogan: he gets 11 million views for his podcast (I’ve never listened to it, myself). This is more than the top three cable news programs combined (all of which are on Fox). Listening to people who talk about him, he seems a left-of-center guy who just invites people on who he thinks have something interesting to say – you know, keep the show topical and interesting to draw and retain an audience. The rather “no duh” media model. All the MSM has to do to restore its viewership is do the same thing – stop being DNC lapdogs and just talk openly about things people might want to hear. Presto: eyeballs on screens. But they can’t seem to do it – they’ve gone with their usual method: trying to get Rogan banned. They managed to snooker (very easily, because they’re stupid) some aged, has-been recording artists to pull their music from Spotify (which carries Rogan) with a demand that Rogan goes, or they go. The funniest bit about this is David Crosby who made a fuss after Neil Young did…but it seems that neither Crosby nor Young own their music rights, having sold them in the past (presumptively after blowing all their money). But even if they could get their stuff off, Spotify is telling them to take a leap – Rogan is getting 11 million hits a show…Crosby is probably getting a few thousand hits a month.

Canadians have had it with Trudeau’s Covid restrictions and massive protests by Truckers are causing all sorts of trouble for the Canadian Ruling Class. With the workers uniting to resist oppression, the Socialists know what to do: take down the Truckers Go Fun Me account.

Meanwhile, Team Pudding Brain put out its latest Covid plan and it says…to pretty much keep on doing what we’re doing: useless mask and vaccine mandates. These mandates will only be followed by the Democrat governors already following them…GOP governors will continue to ignore them. The math here is very strange: to be sure, a segment of the population is still terrified of Covid. This is the Democrat base – especially white, upper class college educated females. You’ll still find them talking about being triple vaxxed and never stirring from home except at great need. But, seriously, how big a political constituency is this? It can’t be more than 15% of the population, tops. Everyone else is really getting rather done with it: as has been pointed out, if masks worked, then they would have worked a long time ago. After two years of wearing a face diaper everywhere if we still have Covid, then we ain’t getting rid of it. All the mandates do is please the cowardly and piss everyone else off.

And that is before you add in the hypocrisy – mask mandated California is about to host a maskless Super Bowl. You know, we can all see this – and see the politicians not wearing a mask (the LA Mayor was caught without one and seriously tried to sell us “I held my breath as I took the picture”). We know its all BS. We can’t imagine why some people are still living in a world where we have to “fight Covid”…and my bet is that when vote-counting time comes around, the number of people who will punish mandates will vastly exceed those thankful for them.

    Facebook is losing users.

Jeff Childers expands on this even more than the American Thinker article.

🔥 So, Facebook’s new commitment to “fighting online misinformation” doesn’t seem to be working out super great. Yesterday, Yahoo Finance headlined an article, “Meta [Facebook] just suffered the largest one-day wipeout in US corporate history. Its valuation slumped by nearly $240 billion.” That can’t be good for business.

In other words, Facebook lost more value in one day than almost all global companies have EVER been worth, at any time, in their entire histories.

    Ruh roh, Scooby Doo.

It wasn’t just one bit of bad news that spurred the selloff. Meta, Facebook’s parent company, is a public company; as such it must fess up about bad news affecting its financial performance. Wednesday’s earnings report unhappily disclosed three major problems: (1) the company’s revenues shrank for the very first time, (2) its “metaverse” project lost $10 BILLION DOLLARS, and — this might be the most important one — (3) the social media company’s “active user base” SHRANK for the first time in the firm’s history.

And it didn’t just shrink just by a little. By a lot. The company reluctantly admitted to the loss of about ONE MILLION USERS between third and fourth quarters of last year.

Gosh. What could be behind this shrinkage? Coincidentally, on September 16, 2021 — roughly the start of the third quarter — the Guardian UK published an article headlined, “Facebook Steps Up Fight Against Climate Misinformation.” A couple months before that, in July, Joe Biden mumbled something at a major press conference about Facebook “killing people” by spreading vaccine lies. Facebook got the message. It sped up its crackdown on user speech after that, you bet it did.

Like I said, the timing links between Facebook amping up censorship and its shedding a million users are probably just coincidental. Customers LOVE being in Facebook jail all the time, or at least, they don’t mind investing time and energy in a software platform but then having it randomly become unavailable for weeks at a time, right?

Want to hear another coincidence? Yesterday — one day after the abysmal earnings report — MSN ran an article headlined, “Why Biden has eased up on Facebook over COVID misinformation.” Hahaha! Whoops! You’re killing the Golden Goose, Joe! Ease up!

Remember — this new “announcement” comes in the context of all the noise about Joe Rogan’s podcast, and just after Biden hinted that Spotify should cancel the popular podcaster. Now, all of a sudden, after Facebook’s abysmal earnings report, Biden is “easing up” on Facebook? If you read MSN’s idiotic article, it doesn’t even quote Biden or any White House official. It just rambles on about legal problems related to censorship, like the First Amendment and Section 230. So, the article seems like an obvious plant, damage control, a knee-jerk response from deep in the congested bowels of the White House.

One of my oldest and best friends is an investment professional who manages a substantial portfolio. He texted an interesting theory to me yesterday, speculating that the Facebook meltdown suggests financial chickens could be coming home to roost, in the form of overvalued tech companies finally shedding all their fake value.

In other words, the elite laptop class may be starting to feel the pain, after two years of sitting fat and happy while the market kept prospering their portfolios. Since people who answer to laptop-class elitists are currently in charge of all three branches of government, it’s just one more source of pressure on the White House to return to a pre-pandemic economy. In other words, the pandemic might not be looking quite so profitable anymore to all those pandemic war profiteers.

It’s such a sad realization now a days that a two parent household, a decent education, and a moral way of life is considered to be “privileged”. If we were to actually follow Darwins Law, people who think this way would no longer be around.

We do need to get back to the survival of the strongest and the smartest and let the weak ones die.

Ivermectin is one of the true wonder drugs of the last half century. The politicians, media pundits and medical establishment bureaucrats who have done everything in their power to prevent sick people from using it should be lined up against a wall and shot. And before you ask, yeah — that IS how I really feel! I put these people in the same category as all the others who have committed genocide in the last century.

I’m a little pickier about who should get the death penalty, but I definitely believe these people should be prosecuted and imprisoned for their crimes against humanity.

I’ve been saying for months now that some day someone is going to tally how many people died because politics kept people from having access to HDQ, and it’s only gotten worse. Now the post office is tracking legal shipments of legally prescribed ivermectin and intercepting them. Pharmacies are refusing to honor legitimate prescriptions from licensed doctors. Remember when governors “banned” HDQ in their states?

People died. There should be penalties

      • Cluster February 6, 2022 / 10:37 am

Considering that “gain of function” is only used to generate “super charged viruses” and the fact that that virus was released and then lied about resulting in the deaths of millions, combined with a vaccine “money grab” and intentional widespread medical malpractice and yes, I think the death penalty is on the table.

      • Amazona February 6, 2022 / 11:17 am

As someone who has worried about a biological weapon for years now, I have always considered the possibility that this virus was purposely released upon the world as a test, to see how leaders and populations would react. Would they have a calming, steadying leadership model, like the United States had in its first year, or would they panic and scurry and try to hide, like we are still being told to do? Would they calmly try a variety of approaches to the problem, including treatment and deterrence or would they be so blinded by panic they could only see one possible solution.

And, of course, would some leaders see this as a way to enrich themselves and extend increasing levels of control over their citizens? Would they have the courage and character to welcome all approaches to solving the problem, or would they become increasingly more protective of their own single-minded “solutions” and go so far as to threaten and silence other opinions?

If it wasn’t an experiment, it could have been, as it exposed so many defects and weaknesses in leadership and problem-solving. It may turn out to have been a blessing in disguise, if we can learn from the mistakes we made in trying to deal with it.

In the meantime, the West has discovered a new threat, inadvertently uncovered by the response to the virus, which is the number of people who actively seek and support tyranny. With this virus in the rear view mirror, this is a problem we have to start addressing quickly and firmly, or we will become the new USSR.

The United States is pushing for war …

US warns Russia is ’70 per cent’ ready to invade Ukraine and could overrun Kiev in TWO days with Germany STILL stalling on sending troops or weapons to the region as new estimates warn of 50,000 civilian casualties should war break out

Ask yourself why America is so eager to start war. And just a year into a Democrat administration. And why in the hell did we bomb that ISIS guy and his family?? Is that called “winning hearts and minds”??

Democrats love killing babies and brown people.

    • Amazona February 6, 2022 / 11:04 am

Once upon a time, in an era we can barely remember as a cascade of disasters has made it seem like a different land in a different time, the United States had a strong and internationally respected leader. (It’s important to know that international respect is not based on hair or gossip, but on performance.) Anyway, in that time and place, Russia made threatening gestures to Ukraine, and this leader immediately sent Ukraine what it needed to defend itself. No showboating, no bragging, no posturing, just a quiet statement to Ukraine that we would help make it possible for them to deal with their own problems.

He did not drag us to the threshold of war when he did this. He merely exhibited to Russia that Ukraine has many allies and a source of weaponry. And Russia stepped back.

Now Russia, as well as the rest of the world, knows the United States has a leader in name only, a sad pathetic shell of a man who wasn’t much in his prime, and that he is so inept that he, and his puppet masters, are impotent. They can’t imagine a way to present the Illusion of strength other than to bomb someone. This means no one knows when or if they will panic and pull the lever that puts us at war again, because this level of weakness is unpredictable, which makes it dangerous in a way very different from the danger posed by competent, strong, intelligent leadership.

  5. Cluster February 6, 2022 / 10:59 am

I’m going to tell you all right now that unless we secure the Ukraine border, our democracy will end. The Ukraine border is an existential threat to our democracy and way of life and when our ruling class says we need to defend that border, well by God we had better do just that!!!

I am actually starting to laugh out loud when I hear or see an overamped squeal of “DANGER TO DEMOCRACY!!! because it is now the new mantra of the ignoranus Left. (Yes, spelled that way on purpose. Look it up or ask Spook.)

These pathetic lemmings, so hooked on the artificial morality they have been conditioned to think is the real thing and so convinced of their intellectual superiority, have suddenly decided to wrap themselves in the flag as they lecture us on all the many, uncountable, ways WE are the “existential danger to democracy”. Of course, the flag isn’t really the flag of this country, as the stars are red instead of white and there is a picture of Che Guevara in the corner, but it’s the flag of the country they hope they can create once they have destroyed this one.

I’ve never been a racist. I’ve always thought that linking skin color to intelligence, honor, character, ability or anything else was simply the stupidest thing I could imagine.

I have, however, been a culturist. I have always known that I would rather live next to black or brown people who share the same basic cultural characteristics of courtesy, respect, good citizenship and so on than next to white people who are loud, obnoxious, criminal or otherwise bad neighbors.

The last few years have pushed me closer to racism than I ever thought possible, because the obvious trappings of compatible culture are being proven inadequate. Now I am learning that even black people who appear, on the surface, to be compatible with me socially and culturally are hiding so much rage and resentment and irrational beliefs in MY character that I can’t trust them.

Now I am finding that I can no longer extend the benefit of the doubt to black people. Now they have to prove themselves to me, prove they are decent and rational and beyond race, people like Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas and Condoleeza Rice. I hate feeling this way. I hate thinking like this. I respected Key and Peele for their honest portrayal of race, their willingness to laugh at the differences—and then I learned that when they are not pandering to multiracial audiences with the pretense of being honest about race they are also stone-cold racists, hating and blaming white people.

I’ve had it. I have reached the point of wondering if melanin DOES dictate intelligence or character.

But then I think of the Africans I have known, whose skin color is usually a lot blacker than that of American blacks, who are so different from the surly and whiny black people of America, and I realize that this is a cultural divide after all. But it’s an AMERICAN cultural divide, where simply being black IN THIS COUNTRY means such total immersion in propaganda so pervasive that it supplants reason and decency. That means that I, too, have to start making decisions based on race, till a black person proves himself or herself to be uninfected by this lethal virus.

I hate that, and I hate being pushed into that mindset.

      • Cluster February 7, 2022 / 10:09 am

100% correct. I have NEVER considered skin color to be a divider … but now I do. Sadly.
