China Joe announced that we’ll be sending 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine – this, apparently, is what the Kraut’s demanded before they would agree to send Leopard tanks. Ukraine is getting a hodge-podge of military equipment which they have no training or maintenance facilities for. This will get interesting.

Russia, meanwhile, continues to push forward in certain areas, likely to prep for an offensive after the Spring rains. We’ll see how this comes out – but I suspect, long term, that Russia will have some Abrams tanks to sell on the international arms market. The bottom line, absent a collapse of Russian will to win, is that Russia has vastly superior numbers over Ukraine and the outcome is only a matter of time.

New York City erected a Medusa-looking statue on their courthouse – in honor of RBG and abortion, so at least kinda appropriate. Very ugly, though. But that is the point of modern art: to be ugly. To be something you hate but can’t get rid of.

Also in New York City – for ages they had de-facto segregation in their schools. This was to allow New York’s rich progressives to have high quality public schools while proclaiming their allegiance to diversity without, you know, the diversity. There merely skimmed the cream of the crop of minority students to put into class with the kids of rich, white Progressives. Former Mayor DeBlasio, true to his Leninism, put an end to that – rather than have test scores determine who got into the swanky, Manhattan public schools, they created a supposedly scientific algorithm which would decide…naturally, it really just managed to shove into these schools kids who were in no way prepared for high education achievement. There is a bit of poetic justice here in that rich, white liberals lost their little education plantation…but the bad news is that now all of New York’s public schools suck. This is considered fine by the upper end of the Ruling Class because they send their kids to private schools and, hey, who wants to take the time and effort to improve all schools? Better to just score some DEI brownie points by wrecking the few remaining good schools.

Surrounded by armed guards, California Governor Newsom proclaimed in the streets that “weapons of war” have no place there. Make no mistake about it: Newsom will be hard for the GOP to beat. He’s good looking, sounds good on TV and, of course, the MSM will cover up his crimes and puff him up as the Second Coming. But he can be beat – his State is a complete disaster outside a few, rich coastal enclaves. The way to handle him in debate is to simply get truthful about him: “Governor, you hate the people of California. You want them to suffer. You talk about ‘weapons of war’ but what you really are trying to do is make honest citizens into criminals while you deliberately and maliciously allow real criminals to run amok.” Words like that – 100% true – will put that arrogant ass into a defensive mode and he won’t know how to deal with it as he’s never had a hostile question asked of him.

What do to about rising egg prices and people suddenly dying? Claim that the eggs are causing sudden death. I’m serious: it is what they are trying to assert. This after they tried to assert that all the sudden deaths are due to climate change.

Very ugly, though. But that is the point of modern art: to be ugly. To be something you hate but can’t get rid of.

We live in a secular soulless society. Look at our buildings compared to that of other past civilizations. Ours are steel and glass. Theirs were intricate, ornamented, interesting, and beautiful. They took the time to appreciate what they built. We shop ours out to the lowest bidder. Look at the new MLK art piece recently unveiled … hideous. Look at what downtown Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis have turned into. Urban America is largely a very dystopian ugly place.

… he won’t know how to deal with it as he’s never had a hostile question asked of him.

And he won’t have any tough questions this time around either. The liberal media will only put knee pads on for him and he definitely won’t go on Fox. But then again, I really don’t think Fox will ask him any tough questions either. With the exception of a few, I really can’t imagine anyone at Fox holding a Democrats feet to the fire.

Hard to believe that the email from Hunter Biden crafted to Devon Archer detailing inside information on Ukraine and UK shortly before Hunter was appointed to a very lucrative position on the Burisma board, and the subsequent finding of classified information about Ukraine and the UK in the Joe’s Delaware home that Hunter lived in … is not getting more media attention. And this is another reason why I don’t expect any tough scrutiny on Gavin Newsome. They’re all the same.

I mentioned to the Mrs the other day the story of a gay couple who had adopted two boys and then serially sexually abused them, including prostituting them out…and I had to go over the whole thing because she hadn’t heard of it. Think about that – had it been a straight couple, or even better a straight overtly Christian couple, it would have been a 24/7 news story. But because it was two gay guys – poof! like it never happened.

Horrible story, of course – and it is making me wonder: are some of our adoption agencies essentially trafficking minors? Who really checks, after all? And when we learn that this particular couple had been fast-tracked (for diversity!) you realize that predators would take advantage of a system which prizes diversity above all other considerations.

Schiff and Swalwell are not intelligent. Shouldn’t that be a disqualifier for the intelligence committee?? Not too mention the fact that those two are habitual liars.

Not to mention bedding a Chinese spy !

      • Retired Spook January 25, 2023 / 7:42 pm

Sleeping with a Chinese spy is a resume enhancement for Democrats.

Every time I hear a Democrat talk about raising the debt ceiling, I hear my wife lecturing me that I have to pay off the credit cards after she just maxxed them out. Um ….. no thanks. And when you think about it, isn’t our politics right now much like a dysfunctional marriage? The Democrats are the parents who let the kids do anything they want, max out credit cards, are constantly unhappy, and pick fights with the neighbors while the Republicans just hope to keep their jobs, hope the kids won’t get in trouble this weekend, and that they won’t be verbally abused.

And oddly enough, MSNBC has yet to report on Hunter’s and Devon Archer’s gig with Burisma as it relates to the classified docs found in the Big Guy’s garage. But I guess that’s a minor story compared to Jan 6

You really have no clue who we are, do you?

    • Cluster January 26, 2023 / 2:47 pm

We’re not the GOP. So I’ll say again, you really have no clue who conservatives are. You’re ignorant af

Quick to anger I see. And still with zero clue, but the MSNBC talking points are interesting. Now GFY and play with your non binary friends.

Hey you got to be excited about the nuclear war your President is starting up, right? How fun will that be?

    • Cluster January 26, 2023 / 3:49 pm

So is that a yes on the nuclear war?? It’s what you voted for bro. It’s time for you to go to Ukraine to fight for their “democracy”

When Schiff for brains was kicked off the Intel committee he Tweeted out that it was petty, partisan payback for investigating Trump. I advised him that it wasn’t – it was petty, partisan payback for the Democrat caucus kicking GOPers off committees.

These are your rules, Fielding. This what you – your side – wanted. There are no standards: there is only power and who can most ruthlessly exercise it. A few years ago, we all know how the debt ceiling thing would go: Democrats would lard it up with pork after some rote condemnations by GOPers, they’d get on board with it. But now it is different – now there’s a GOP willing to fight a bit. We’ll see how McCarthy does – so far, he’s done pretty well – but the bottom line is that if he wants to preserve his Speakership and give the GOP a shot at holding the House in 2024, he’s going to have to give the GOP base some goodies. How McCarthy ultimately does depends on how much he’s really learned – if he ignores the shrieks from the MSM – which will be mere DNC propaganda – then he can force Team Pudding Brain and the Senate Democrats to back down and give a lot. Whatever else happens, the money must continue to flow – the Democrats absolutely depend on gobs of federal money flowing into donor and activist bank accounts. If McCarthy really pushes, he could get a lot. And then do it again next year.

But remember as you survey this and desire to shout “hypocrite” at the GOP…it doesn’t work on us any more. We’ve seen your side’s hypocrisy all too often and from now on and increasingly, we’re going to play by your rules: we’re going to kick the Democrats in the nuts as often as we can. We’re going to laugh at Democrat pain. We’re going to do whatever we can get away with depending on what physical power we obtain.

Do you want to go back to the old ways of genuine compromise and country over party activity? Fine. Love it. You, first. And for a long while. Give us 20 years of Democrats voting for things Democrats hate, but America needs, and we’ll consider going back that way, ourselves.

Cut all funding to NPR, cut all foreign aid, all money to Ukraine, cut 10% of all federal bureaucracies, cut all money to green energy efforts, etc. and that’s just a start.

    • Retired Spook January 26, 2023 / 6:21 pm

Mark you want them to cut Medicare, SS, Medicaid and Defense, right? Sounds good to me. Let’s see the “Conservative’s” plan.

I can’t speak for the GOP, but I think I speak for all the Conservatives on this blog in saying our plan would be to start by just slowing the growth of federal spending, eliminating the billions in ridiculous pork, and eliminating multi-thousand-page omnibus spending bills. The Penny Plan introduced by Rand Paul in 2018 would be a good starting point.

I have to think that we all found it quite humorous when Fielding rushed in yesterday with MSNBC talking points, ie: “So you want to cut SS and Medicare??” LMAO. As if there isn’t a myriad of wasteful federal programs to choose from.

The threat from an authoritarian government can only be realized when you have incurious, dormant minds that support those authoritarians. The Ruling Class has done an amazingly good job convincing their mouth breathing base that the real enemy they should be afraid of, are the people who live across the street and not the federal bureaucrat controlling their lives. It really is a fascinating study in human psyche.

    • Amazona January 28, 2023 / 12:28 pm

Read Spook’s link to the latest Dr. Malone article for an example of how the incurious and naive become the mindless robotic believers in the Left’s massive propaganda campaigns. From the article:

Pfizer legal has finally dropped a response at 8:00 PM EST Friday night. Again, classic textbook timing. Designed to bypass the Friday PM news cycle and more importantly to give Wall Street maximal time to digest the news before opening bell next Monday. These guys are professional grade. To recap, they have shut Google searches down, memory holed/scrubbed the internet, deployed an army of bots, trolls and chaos agents to cause confusion and doubt on social media, and almost completely suppressed any coverage of the story by the many corporate media outlets that they have been pumping money into over the last three years.

    Great quote from Edward Snowden

“People don’t realize how hard it is to speak to the truth, to a world full of people who don’t realize they are living a lie”

So true. And I’ll say it again, everything we are living through, is a lie … climate change, Covid, threats to democracy, systemic racism, trans bullshit, etc., etc.

    It’s all lies

I just want to thank all Biden voters for getting us into a war with Russia. I wonder though if your Presidents son wasn’t such a drug fueled grifter, that we may not have to defend Ukraine and keep those secrets buried, but I’m sure that country has a lot of dirt on the Biden family so off to war we go … appreciate it

First we essentially funded the attacks on Ukraine by crippling the US petroleum industry and then paying multi-billions of dollars to Russia to buy their (inferior) oil. Then we offer various kinds of support to Ukraine. to defend against the incursion we funded.

Gee, one might almost thing this administration doesn’t know what it is doing!

Yup. Paul was finally the victim of the policies his wife fights to enact, and it’s nice to see. The Pelosi’s, and all politicians, should be subject to the way of life of their constituents. Life for everyone would be much better off if they were.
