Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) announced his Presidential bid and one of the first questions the MSM asked him was, “are you a virgin?”. Just absolutely flabbergasting. Until I heard that, I didn’t know if Scott was married or not – but as it turns out, he’s 57 and unmarried and has no kids. This does, especially in 2023, bring up the prospect of homosexuality but this does not appear to be the case for Senator Scott. But, whatever: who’s danged business is it? Unless you have some solid information of inappropriate sexual activity, it is nobody’s business. But there goes the MSM – and you know why: they’re hoping he is homosexual or at least hope they can get people thinking he’s homosexual because you know us bigoted, hill-ape inbred MAGA morons would hate that. For goodness sake.
I don’t know Senator Scott’s personal life. No whiff of scandal along those lines has come up and you gotta figure that something would have by now. Is he chaste? I don’t know. Not my business. But it isn’t impossible for him to be chaste, you know? Not everyone even in 2023 is an animal. Some people remain civilized…and if Scott is a real believer in God and he is trying to follow his Christian faith then he might remain chaste because for the true Christian, sex – any sort of sex – outside of marriage is immoral.

Now, as for Scott’s ambitions: everyone assumes he’s auditioning for the VP slot for whomever gets the nod – likely Trump or DeSantis at this point. He’s kept friendly with both sides. But never count anyone out. I know that plenty of MAGA folks have problems with Scott but he’s a pretty good guy. Sure, he is close to the Establishment and that is a worry…but he also seems to be his own man. We could do a lot worse. If he does emerge, he gets my vote.
Target has been marketing “tuck friendly” clothes for little children. If you don’t know what they’re “tucking” then just think about it for a minute: it’ll come to you. And I mean really little children. Like 5 year olds. That is how far this insanity has gone. There has been good pushback on this and we’re winning lots of victories in Red States…but the overall American Establishment is still fully committed to making medical transition of minors the norm. We have a long way to go here. Victory comes when major retailers won’t even think about making “tuck friendly” clothes for kids.
LA Dodgers invited the anti-Catholic hate group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to “pride night”. Then uninvited them when everyone pointed out that, hey, they’re bigots. But now has re-invited them because when it comes to bullying, the LGBTQ community has that nailed down. Corporate America is simply too weak. I know that the basic principle we have is free markets…but in order to win this battle, we are going to have to forcibly instruct Corporate America that non-Lefists also exist.
Debt battle is rather boring but I am pleased that McCarthy is at least showing some backbone. The problem is that we can’t forever keep printing up new money so we can borrow it. It does come to an end. It might actually be better long term if it came to an end right away. We don’t have any money left. The FBI has again refused to hand over an internal document that Republicans claim shows President Joe Biden was involved in a ‘criminal’ scheme with a foreign national.
This is inexcusable and Christopher Wray needs to be removed. The corruption in the FBI isn’t even in question anymore. Additionally, a “judge” in AZ dismissed the signature verification challenge by Kari Lake, This despite video of a signature verifier in AZ verifying hundreds signatures within seconds. It doesn’t even pass the smell test but that didn’t persuade this very noble and robed piece of shit.
On a fun note, it is fun watching NY and Chicago be overwhelmed with diversity. I guess they are learning that being a sanctuary city is not all virtue signaling and actually has real life consequences. Who knew?
A more aggressive Right is forcing the Left to be more blatant in its defiance of the law. It’s really been interesting to follow.
On the social front, the Left has decided to go all out in its campaign of degeneracy. They got so complacent after years of Americans gradually accepting a more and more sexually graphic culture that they started to openly advocate for the sexualization of the very young, but they became so blatant that resistance was inevitable. Videos of mothers laughingly encouraging tiny children to tuck play money into the bulging G-strings of sexual deviants imitating sex acts on stage illustrated not tolerance but the blatant sexualization of children, and there was a backlash. The Left took this degeneracy so far that it was impossible to continue the pretense that this was not about corrupting our youth but really about indoctrinating them into sexual behaviors and deviancy.
The same thing happened with the parallel indoctrination effort seen in the placing of pornography, much of it illustrating, praising and advocating sexual deviancy, in school libraries. The Left got some mileage out of pious pleadings for “tolerance” and the effort to link screening of reading materials to Nazi book burnings (“they are BANNING BOOKS !!!”). But bringing posters of enlarged illustrations of sex acts and reading excepts of material from the promoted books so offended and horrified the same school board members who had demanded the presence of these books in the schools that police were called to break up school board meetings as the officials fled. The Left had been able to keep this degenerate material under wraps for the most part, because it could not be printed in newspapers or read aloud on radio shows so most people never knew how graphic it was, but forcing school boards to listen to it, and see it, in open meetings brought it to light. They counted on the material being so volatile that it could not be made public, protecting them from pushback, but they were put in the position of having to openly defend their decisions.
Now we finally have public servants refusing to back down and continuing to push for legal actions against Leftists, and here the Left is also in the position of having to openly act to defend itself and its leaders. Now we are forcing judges to make outrageous decisions, so clearly in violation of law and reason and in defense of a political agenda that it can no longer be hidden. Now we have the national law enforcement agency of the nation openly defying the law and refusing to provide evidence to Congress. because the evidence would implicate Leftist leadership.
As horrible as the past two or three years have been, and as much as they have cost the country and its citizens, they have also served to lead the Left into exposing itself in ways it never had before, and making it harder and harder for it to hide behind its disguises and lies.

I just pre-ordered the book, and went on to pay $200 to subscribe to James O’Keefe’s OMG platform. It’s really exciting to see these sprouts of real journalism pushing up through the dense weeds of what has passed for “journalism” since the Left has taken over most of the media, and I think it should be supported wherever it arises.
Chadwick Moore represents much of what terrifies the Left. He is openly gay, but not an activist, just a guy who isn’t straight. And he’s a conservative. And he is not attacked by the Right for his sexual orientation, but merely accepted for who he is. He quietly but effectively contradicts every Leftist stereotype of a gay man, both politically and culturally.
Chadwick has always been a thorn in Democrats side, and so has this gentleman (see below). I read today they black peoples support for Biden has dropped to just 52%, down from 86% a year and half ago. We have to keep up the resistance and the fight.
I’m not sure how much any actions by the Right have affected the Biden Death Spiral. I think Joe is doing just fine all by his ownself on that front, though I do think we should be ready to provide a little nudge every now and then.

Truth be known, MAGA has become classic liberals. Anti-War, strong Free Speech advocates, Anti Federal Bureaucracies, Anti Huge Corporations, Pro American Labor, Equal Opportunity advocates, and strong School Choice advocates. These positions were once the bedrock positions of Democrats, but that party leadership has sold out to communists.
I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the DeSantis/Crist campaign, but my impression was that DeSantis ran a mostly upbeat campaign, focusing on his record and his vision for the state, while Crist ran a typical slash/burn effort.
I believe that the nation is tired of ugliness and negativity and will react well to an optimistic, positive campaign rather than the name-calling, chair-throwing nastiness we are used to. He’s basically a happy upbeat guy. He doesn’t have much patience with silliness or Leftist posturing, but he isn’t a name-caller and I think that will be appreciated by a burned-out populace fed up with negativity.
Here’s where I’m at … I am firmly in Trump’s camp for now. I saw what Trump did, I know what he can do, I know what he will do, and most importantly I know that Trump owes no one but the American people. No one owns Trump and he is immune from lobbyists and donors. That’s huge in my book. And that’s why they are attacking him legally. The establishment is terrified of Trump because he is immune to the establishment ways. He is his own man and he doesn’t want to be a part of their club.
Now I like RDS too, and a lot can change in a year. I like what he has done in Florida, I like how he handles the left with common sense and resolve and he is good at that, and I like his stance on corporations not paying their “fare share” lol, ie: Disney and I love his position on the woke agenda. That being said, he worries me a little bit. Ron is ambitious, as he should be, but can he withstand the establishment influence? Remember the GOP establishment agenda is still mired in this post WWII, nation building, pro corporate business mode. That’s not where conservatives are, and there will be big money and strong influence on Ron to become one of them. If he governs like Trump on the national stage, no problem. If he governs like George Bush, HUGE problem.
I agree with everything you say about Trump, but you stopped short of commenting on his flaws. He is far too governed by his ego and his paranoia, and he is too arrogant to trim his sails a little to attract new voters. I don’t mean change his positions and his policies, just STFU for a change instead of letting his ego and paranoia run rampant. When his most ardent supporters remain silent at his rallies when he insults DeSantis, a more disciplined man would realize this is not a good tactic and stop doing it.
Not a word of what you said means a thing if he can’t get elected, and he can’t get elected unless he starts to bring in a lot of the people who voted against him last time.
I see a contingent of support that is his base, his fan club, that has been his from the beginning. Many if not most of these are locked in. Adjacent to this is the group that held its nose and voted for him, and then came to like what he did—though not necessarily liking him very much. They can be bled off by a more likable candidate. Then there is the opposite end of the spectrum, which seethes with a white-hot hate for him that can never be tempered by reason or fact, and they will turn on any Republican almost as pathologically. They are lost.
In the middle is a large amorphous group of squishes who allowed themselves to be convinced not to vote FOR Biden but against Trump because of the incessant drumbeat of negativity attached to him. If he can’t change the minds of a lot of those in that middle ground he can’t win.
And I think a lot of the first two groups and a majority of those in the middle ground are tired of melodrama, tired of constant fighting and insulting and bickering. And those people will be strongly drawn to a candidate who appears to have Trump’s strengths without his baggage and flamboyance and drama. And I think that is the key to a possible DeSantis victory at least in the primaries and probably in the general—he has all of Trump’s strengths and none of his weaknesses. He’s a hardcore conservative but with a moderate persona and an impeccable history.
And he’s young. I do think that, especially as time goes on, that is likely to be a bigger factor than we have been looking at. If a more youthful, vibrant, direction for the country is part of the campaign, especially against Cadaver Joe, that is something Trump can’t equal.
I also think that no matter who we nominate, he won’t stand a snowball’s chance if we don’t use the Left’s election tactics against it. Is there the slightest chance that the RNC is already preparing a robust election strategy and team? I doubt it.
Every time Trump says “DeSanctus ” it erodes my support for him.
EVERY. TIME.

Well, naturally it is that having so many millions of people so eager to see what he had to say that they crashed Twitter can only mean no one will vote for him.
And there was whining (from a DNC operative, clearly an objective opinion) that the DeSantis speech contained “the most niche hyper online right-wing issues that your average voter finds weird and alienating.” Translated into normspeak, this says “the exact issues that the average voter cares about and relates to, which the radical Left finds weird and alienating”.

No, it’s not about how those comments make us FEEL. It’s about how they make us THINK, as we evaluate the mentality that not only finds these kinds of childish attacks acceptable (and even admirable) but the lack of discipline shown in what is either a refusal or an inability to stop doing it even when it is not well received.
As for wanting to “win above everything else” that isn’t very compatible with supporting someone who goes out of his way to alienate so many people and make them question his character, temperament and judgment. And it’s his character, temperament and judgment being evaluated.
I do kind of like your last suggestion, though while I think of Trump as a very effective executive (once he gets past the hump of being elected) I don’t see him as a statesman. And I definitely don’t see him as playing second fiddle to someone else who is president.
Trump has had the chance to be a statesman, and he ignored it because he prefers to be a brawler. I saw him as a possible kingmaker, a supporter of and promoter of leaders who could change the country. I now doubt that he could do this very effectively.
I don’t think for a minute that this is even remotely fair. I think he has been systematically destroyed by enemies wholly focused on bringing him down, and it sickens me to realize how effective they have been. I would be thrilled to see him prevail, and the image of Trump as victorious bringer of justice, wading into his enemies with a huge scythe, is wonderful. My only concern is getting elected, and I worry when I see him sabotaging that by acting like, to put it bluntly, a complete idiot.

I truly think if Trump had not been so reckless and belligerent during the period when he has not had challengers DeSantis would probably have been happy to wait four years to run. If Trump had mended fences, established coalitions, focused on the opposition PARTY instead of perceived personal opponents in his own, and worked to convince the squishes that he is not a scary out of control madman, he would have positioned himself much more effectively than he has, and I think Trump’s inability to adapt to the changing political scene has forced DeSantis’s hand, as Trump often seems to be sabotaging his own chances which means endangering the future of the nation. My reading of DeSantis is that his love of this country far exceeds his personal ambition, which would mean stepping in if it looks like Trump is going to screw things up. Those are flat numbers, meaning they do not give a true picture of the why those gun deaths occurred. For example, more people in the US die from suicide involving a firearm than homicides. Get real. Places like Chicago have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, yet they have staggering homicides rates in comparison to places with much less gun laws. The better place to effectively reduce gun violence is to uphold the current laws prosecuting criminals, NOT restricting guns for law abiding citizens. Read the next article I posted and explain why someone who shot an unarmed elderly lady gets away with community service. Of the most commonly proposed gun laws (restrictions), it is highly questionable as to their ability to prevent criminal activity involving guns. What is unquestionable is, in places where tyranny exists, those in charge had to first disarm the people. Ever wonder why people are highly skeptical of “well intentioned” gun laws? Though they might sound good to the unexamined, they don’t work as portrayed, but are designed to ultimately restrict the citizens ability to fight back against tyrannical governments.

Why is it that so many new gun laws are found unconstitutional? Those proposing and voting for such laws a likely aware of the lack of constitutionality of what they advocate, but do so anyways knowing it often takes years to rule on by the courts, if ever. So many of these laws have significant deficiencies and lack due process protections. Most gun control advocates use inflamed rhetoric not actual data to push their mandates, even advocate dismissing or ignoring the 2nd amendment… “for the greater good” Whenever I hear that phrase it makes me pay close attention to the ramifications of what’s NOT being discussed.
My bother lives in a county where gun ownership is high and strongly encouraged by local leo’s. The crime rate for things like robbery and murder in that area is very low because criminals understand the greater risks to themselves. Where my daughter lives in Phoenix, a few years back a bank posted a sign stating it was now a gun free zone. They experienced 2 separate robbery attempts within 6 months they had not experiences in many years prior. Didn’t take long for that sign to come down. Why do you think gun free zones like schools are targeted so much and why they DO NOT WORK? If you really want to impact gun violence, go after the criminals. There are certainly enough laws already in the books to do just that.

However Casper, the CDC link you provided doesn’t prove the point you want it too. First of all, only a handful of States have “strict gun laws” because most Americans aren’t terrified of inanimate objects like you are. 5 of the top 10 States listed are those States with strict gun laws; California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Michigan. And in those States. handguns and black on black inner city crime account for the majority of deaths. The other huge contributor is suicides, as JDGE mentioned. The gun issue is just another fear based issue pushed by Democrats as is Covid, climate change, white supremacy, trans rights, etc.
What’s going to move the needle is voters exhaustion of Democrat fear based issues and their insane response to them.

If the pro-aborts were really about CHOICE, which is a decision made calmly after learning all the relevant facts, abortion clinics would offer the same services that the pregnancy help clinics offer—discussion of alternatives to abortion and clinical information about the size and development of the child, including an ultrasound. If CHOICE were really the goal, really the issue, it would be important to these people to make sure that every single piece of information possible was made available to a newly pregnant woman.
And then, only then, would the baby be killed if that was still her decision. That would not make killing the baby any more moral, or ethical, or humanly decent, but at least it would be a true CHOICE. And the ferocious determination of the pro-aborts to prevent this cooling-off period, and its attendant acquiring of important information, is absolute proof that the pious psuedo-virtuous claim of merely wanting women to have CHOICE is a vicious lie designed to hide the true ghoulishness of simply glorying in the destruction of life.

I would guess the answer to this question is a resounding NO. Very few Americans these days have the slightest idea of what our Constitution even says, much less what led to its construction. To the shallow intellect of most Americans today, the “Constitution” is just some tired old outdated document put together by a few old white guys 200 years ago and today it’s meaningless.
They don’t know that the “old guys” were really young and dynamic and the leaders and thinkers of their time, or that they engaged in months of discussions and debates over every single clause and concept as they put together the blueprint for how best to govern the nation. While I have known and liked a lot of black Americans I agree with this woman and her assessment of the attitude of many of them. I have found there to be a vast difference in personality and attitude between black Americans and black people from other countries.
It’s a purely cultural phenomenon, one created and nurtured by Democrats who have basically trained black Americans to be hostile, to be belligerent, to feel constant fury and resentment, and to feel entitled.
And as ye sow, so shall ye reap, a lesson yet to be learned by the Left and the population they have manipulated into being self-destructive.
From ABC: A federal judge sentenced Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes to 18 years in prison Thursday for his role leading a seditious conspiracy to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s election victory that culminated in the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
OK, this seems to call for a little research.
Merriam-Webster has a definition of “sedition” that kind of looks like it has been edited to reflect recent charges: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority Note the inclusion of “insurrection” here, though insurrection is not about resistance to lawful authority, as much as the Left wants to redefine it such. So just take incitement of resistance against lawful authority”. Wouldn’t that include rioting, or incitement to riot?
But back to “sedition”. dictionary.com says it is incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government. That’s pretty vague. So inciting discontent against a government is now “sedition”? That’s convenient.
Britannica.com says: the crime of saying, writing, or doing something that encourages people to disobey their government. Again, a broad enough definition to include a lot of people for a lot of things, nearly all of which fall under the 1st Amendment.
So let’s go to US Code. Here we find a degree of vagueness and generality that is kind of frightening.
§2384. Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
Here we get to the nitty-gritty of the complaint. First, the act of “certifying” the votes of the states, which is really meaningless as it means rubber-stamping figures known to be false, is raised in importance to the execution of a law so important that an effort to “hinder or delay” its execution is a major crime—if it can be asserted that this was attempted forcefully.
The leeway given to the State to freely define terms to meet political agendas is what is scary.
And, of course, the same law should have applied to rioters who openly used violent force to seize, take or possess property of the United States as well as to oppose by force the authority of the United States–those who organized the riots in particular, and those who paid the rioters and paid for their transportation across state lines to riot, as well as paying for their food, lodging, rental vehicles and materials. Yet it appears that no investigations were even begun into these conspiracies to commit sedition. When pallets of bricks (to throw at police officers) were delivered in advance of a clearly planned riot, the famed FBI didn’t look into who arranged and paid for this. Rented vehicles delivering rioters were not tracked to see who paid for them.
Two of the nation’s most famous conspirators of sedition, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, were buddies of a former president are are highly paid academics in Chicago.
Selective prosecution based on political agenda is a devastating blow to liberty and a sign of a corrupt and failing nation.
And even ABC admitted that the crime consisted of an effort to disrupt the certification
and that the subsequent riots were the result of this effort (that culminated in the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.) but were not actually part of or the goal of the effort itself.
This abuse of power is so shameful it’s hard to accept that it has been taking place in our country.
