The most absurd take – so widespread on the Never Trump Right that it must have been a memo sent out – was “well, Hunter cooperated and this is what happens when you do that, unlike Trump!”. FFS…cooperated on what? He committed several obvious felonies – especially given Democrat shrieks regarding guns his weapons violations. When you play ball with the prosecutor it is to get a light sentence as you drop dime on your criminal partners…Hunter isn’t dropping dime on anyone. He doesn’t have to: he had a “get out of jail free” card issued to him the moment his Dad showed himself to be a loyal Democrat Party foot soldier. So, like back by 1975. Getting to the VP slot and the White House just gold plated that ticket. Hunter got off because his name is Biden; plain and simple and that is all there is to it. Meanwhile, Trump is indicted not for breaking a law, but for being Trump. He’s guilty on an infinite charge of being Trump.
But what should also be noted here is that to justify this deal – to either participate in making it happen or excuse it after the fact – indicates sheer sociopathic behavior. Narcissism of the serial killer variety. It really is that stark; no person with any sense of decency can say other than the evidence in the Hunter case at least merits felony charges be issued. Whether or no Hunter could beat the rap in court is an unknown…but sending him to trial is warranted. Not allowing him to plea out with no jail time. But people are out there saying just that – it is all cool! These are the people who will happily shove you into a boxcar for the death camp. Who would happily inform on you to the secret police. Who would shout the loudest during a show trial.

I’m pretty confident those poor people are dead. But I would like to point out that the Titanic sits at 12,500 feet deep and the pressure is 390 times greater than on the surface. A Muslim-majority town in Michigan banned the display of the “pride” flag on public buildings. A completely reasonable stance to take and one which Christians should duplicate in communities where they hold a majority. Naturally, this has caused some problems on the Left – how to square that “refugees welcome” and “pride” circle? After a few days to think it over, they’ve arrived at their solution: tell Muslims they are being fooled by White Supremacists and they better get their kids into transition indoctrination centers right quick.

I remember some 55 – 60 years ago when there was a proposal to build the first Nine Mile nuclear power plant in upstate NY, currently the oldest working plant in the US. The construction portion began in 1965 and received its operating license in 1974. The “experts” calculated it would cost about $30 million and take about 3 years to build. Some $300 million plus and nearly 10 years later it was completed.
The estimated cost to build a nuclear power plant today is in the $2 – 4B dollar range and that’s just for construction, as there are all kinds of “additional” costs that are not part of that projection. For example, the estimated costs to decommission Nine Mile is $1.5B with over 1,300 metric tons of spent nuclear fuel left on site. Probably well before the construction of this plant, politicians understood how these kind of developments would provide them with all kinds of personal monetary gains AND greatly increase reelection prospects, in part because there are so many jobs and families attached that to pull the plug would negatively impact those on the ground.
I learned back then in my younger teen years, the experts rarely know what they’re talking about and politicians connected to these type of projects will be rewarded.

I would have a hard time hiding millions of dollars in ill-gotten gains, but then to do so I would have to have some legitimate reasons to travel internationally to have access to banks in various countries where banking is less regulated than here. So I would need to have the cover of, for example, having companies and associates in places like China and Ukraine and Russia, for example, so I could explain extensive travels.
It would really be handy if I had a partner whose stepfather has several private jets—maybe someone like Chris Heinz—or if I could hitch a ride on Air Force Two every now and then when my dad was globe-hopping to set up the transfer of billions of American taxpayer dollars to various foreign nations—some of which were then happy to work with me on “business” deals that moved a lot of that money around.

Also notice now the number of times the word “extremist” is mentioned whenever MAGA is mentioned. It’s a conditioning and people like fielding, are easily conditioned.
The narcissism of the Left is truly astounding. Durham is a professional investigator, and MSNBC is a propaganda arm of the State parroting what is has been fed.
Is he really claiming that MSNBC did not reveal what its massive investigative powers unearthed? If so, why not? Wouldn’t that be their job? Don’t they posture as “investigative journalists”? We know they are not journalists, but if we are supposed to buy the “investigative” part why didn’t they share their findings with the public? Or with Durham?

You had no say where you went and they could have held you there – or locked you in your house – for days, for weeks or months. There was no time restriction in that regulation.
And they could have done this not just to you, but they could have done this to your child or your grandchild or your elderly parent. There was no age restriction in that regulation.
There was no way for you to get out once they put you in there, meaning there wasn’t a procedure built into the regulation that said, for example, you can take a test so you could prove that you don’t have COVID or that you don’t have tuberculosis or whatever other disease is on their list.
