The latest effort to derail DOGE has been to have moderate Right (not specifically Never Trump) people write despairing pieces about the failure of Conservatives to deplore Elon Musk’s serial adultery. He has 12 confirmed children, a social media influencer claiming number 13. They tie this into Trump’s sexual past and throw up their hands (a little dramatically) wondering just how we can do anything when those in charge of the movement are sinners? This effort is clearly orchestrated by the Left – which doesn’t care at all about morality but they will wipe their butt with their own flag if it helps them.
Rely on it, if we made an effort to codify morality into law, these same Right voices would rise in opposition to us on Libertarian grounds. The only people morality applies to, in their minds, is us: we have to be perfect and if we ain’t, then we don’t deserve to have power…or, indeed, anything.
To make it clear: adultery is a sin. Fornication is a sin. Horrible, bad sins which can destroy a human soul and condemn it to everlasting damnation.
But so, too, divorce and birth control. Working on the Sabbath. Not going to Mass on Sunday. Do you get what I’m saying? If we are to base our politics upon what is considered a sin in Christian theology, then we’re going to have a very different political organization. And one that won’t win anything. To be sure, winning in politics is not usually the most crucial consideration. We Christians are in the world but we are not supposed to be of it and we are supposed to, as far as possible, meekly live within the political structure trusting to God that things will work out. And for the most part, that is what Christians have done – it has been a long time since anyone really insisted upon any distinctly Christian policy in American politics. But things are different now. We’re not fighting for mere political power. We are fighting for our very lives.
We Christians are to accept martyrdom if it is thrust upon us. We aren’t to seek it out but if we are placed into the position where we can only live by denying God, then it is time for us to die – and joyfully so. But our prime duty here is escape if possible. Just as we are to avoid near occasions of sin, so we should avoid, if we can, situations where the choice becomes apostasy or death. That is what we’re trying to do here. I know it sounds perhaps a bit melodramatic, but it is win in politics right now, or die. If we lose and have to die, so be it – we trust in God. But let’s try not to lose.
We have to fully grasp what we’re up against. Remember, when the Palestinians sent in rape/murder squads to Israel, the global Left supported the Palestinians. They still do. Even today they are still out in the streets waving Hamas flags and calling Israel the bad guy. Think about that. They also sincerely believe that a human being can be born in the wrong body – and that anyone denying this is malevolent. They believe that punishing criminals is wrong. Not kidding about that: they are all in for “alternatives to punishment”…because they have internalized the idea that crime only happens because of injustice. We joke about saying “society made me do it”, but they really believe this to be the case…and so “society” needs to be punished. These are not reasoned, logical positions. They are not just false, but obviously false…and yet tens of millions of people in these United States of America believe it all and given that they further believe the world will die if they don’t get their way, we have the recipe for massacre.
Keep in mind that the whole basis of Nazism was stupidly wrong – ultimately based upon the belief that the Jews were an organized, malevolent force in the world deliberately out to destroy the civilized people – ie, the Aryans. This is no different from the modern Left believing that we are an organized, malevolent force deliberately out to destroy the planet. The Germans bought the Nazi argument and at least 40% of the American people have bought the Left argument. It won’t take much for a solid majority to get behind “born in the wrong body” and “that hamburger is killing the Earth!”. And people who think that the world will end if they don’t prevail are not noted for holding back…once you get that idea fixed in your head that only total destruction of the enemy allows you to survive, you’ll do anything to get your way.
I am not here in this year of 2025 trying to preserve Christian morality – we lost that fight decades ago when we didn’t oppose the completely insane idea of no-fault divorce…when we seriously went along with the idea that a promise made to God and Man can be annulled by a judge. At that point, the slide down into Elon Musk having 12 or 13 children from a large number of women was kinda baked in. And, on the whole, this is actually far more human than the Left which wants to trans kids they don’t abort…and suicide them if they wind up depressed teenagers. At least Musk is making babies and wanting them to get on a path towards a useful life. Better if he wasn’t nailing everything that will sit still for five minutes…but if I’ve got a choice between a world where people are bumping uglies with wild abandon and having buckets of children and another world where they lop off healthy body parts and then suicide the result…I know what I’m choosing. And I did just mention the suicide thing, didn’t I? Really think about that – the Left thinks it is good if people can have taxpayer funded “doctors” kill them if they’re feeling out of sorts. They don’t even call it a necessary evil any more – they call it good. Positive. A great outcome. Yay death!
For my own safety’s sake, I must defeat these people. Because I am not like them, I don’t want them jailed or killed. I will allow them to remain in their personal delusions…but I must do everything I can to remove them from all power and influence in the world. I will go pretty far here, including to eventual disenfranchisement and confiscation of their wealth if that proves necessary to stop these insane people. But for right now, I think that if we can de-fund them that will solve most of the problem…my conviction is that these insane beliefs are only given credence because subscription to them ensures well-paid sinecures for those willing to push the lunacy. Don’t ever downplay the power of a dollar sign in front of a morally and intellectually weak person. Much is written in the history books about how the German generals went along with Hitler even when it was clear his military commands were leading to disaster…much less is written about how Hitler secured and retained that compliance: money. He simply bribed his senior leaders to go along…and go along they did, only concerned about keeping their place at the trough. So, too, the modern American Left. And if we take away the money…if nobody is paying them to be insane, then there’s a strong chance they’ll stop being insane. And Musk is leading the charge in taking away their money.
Do I trust Musk? No. The default position on anyone with a great deal of money and/or power is mistrust. Trump gets trust now because he’s proven himself in the face of terrible odds to be on my side. Musk? Well, he’s doing some good things but so far the chips haven’t really been down…he hasn’t had to choose between his own happiness and the good of the people. The Left is pushing that way and he’s probably going to be forced to make that choice. We’ll see how that goes. But, meanwhile, he’s doing what I want – except too slowly and being far too nice to the Left. I want what he’s doing put on overdrive. Musk is a tool. He’s useful right now. If he remains useful then I’ll keep backing him – but the minute the tool is broken or proves ineffective, I’ll drop him like used chewing gum.
And here’s the kicker: once I defeat these insane people and restore a world where truth is the basis of action, then I can start to revive Christian morality – or, indeed, any moral code. People who think that abortion is good are not going to be converted to Christianity with ease. Heck, just getting them to stop being raving lunatics is a herculean task. But if they are no longer paid to believe that abortion is good then they might stop actually believing that abortion is good…and that will open them up to the prospect of understanding that being a good person requires a strict moral code enforced by law and custom. But this is all for after: after the Left is defeated. I can’t get there from here – I must first get rid of the lunatics. Then I can talk.
You want to know how to drive a Liberal absolutely nuts? When one asks you how you feel about Elon’s serial adultery, you answer, “isn’t it amazing how God uses flawed people to do his work?”
ROFL.
We pray for Elon’s conversion.
But in the ol’ List O’Sins the world has right now…sex is a bit down the list of concerns.
Well he’s not actually having sex with these women — it’s all IVF and surrogacy so maybe that lets him off the hook somehow.
You have no idea what he is or is not doing, but it’s odd that you seem to care so much.
OK, I know you’re not the Lynne Goodman that I knew back in the late 70s, but the resemblance (assuming the photo is you) is uncanny. You’re not named after an aunt or grandmother, are you?
You seem convinced that this is a real person and not just a new troll identity with a photo lifted from the internet. And given “her” sour and negative persona, I don’t know why you care.
I’m more inclined to just say “why do you care?”
Adultery depends on betrayal, and if two people choose to have a relationship that is not exclusive it is no one’s business but their own. There is something quite creepy about the crotch-centric Left and its compulsion to obsess about the private lives—and privates—of others.
I’ve always been intrigued by the self-righteous who strike me as people who, 2000 years ago, would have scolded Jesus for hanging out with sinners and reprobates.
Better if he wasn’t nailing everything that will sit still for five minutes
Oh, MeeOW! I expect better of you, Mark. He seems to respect the women in his life, he doesn’t kill his babies, he seems to love them and nurture them, and I’d be happy if he had a hundred of them. His joie de vivre might be because he has so much “F-you” money, but I see a truly joyful man. He isn’t embarrassed about taking his mother to a black tie event. He isn’t shy about bringing his child to work with him. He doesn’t care if people laugh at him when he jumps in the air with sheer pleasure at what he is doing. He doesn’t even care if people think he is weird because of his reason for designing “pointy” rockets. (And BTW, he taught himself how to build rockets by reading books.)
As for “trusting” him, I see no reason not to. He strikes me as a man who has been dealing with the isolation of the combination of vast intellect, the drive to constantly test himself, and the social aspect of mild autism. Every super-rich person has gone through the process of meeting every financial goal, only to learn that money is just a way of keeping score and to then think “now what?” I love the fact that Elon Musk has found a “now what?” that brings him joy while making the world a better place, and that he got there while young enough to get a kick out of it.
He is bringing unabashed freshness and enthusiasm to politics, and I for one love seeing it. Most of us are lucky to find one passion in life, and he has found several, all of which appear to be productive and benign and adding to the quality of life around him. He’s not a drinker, he’s not a stoner, he doesn’t seem to just use women the way Kennedy and Clinton, et al, always did, he’s not profane, and he loves to step in and use his talent and his money to help people.
It’s sad that all this seems to make him a target.
I am properly reprimanded! And, yes, the guy is in a pretty unique position…and there is joy there. One just wishes he found a girl who wanted to have 14 kids! After all, my great-grandmother managed that feat!
I think western civilization has been under the delusion, the delusion of coexistence for far too long.
Israel makes a grave mistake by releasing terrorist prisoners in exchange for the corpses of Israeli children.
Self-preservation comes by first obeying and serving the Lord God only. David said to Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:44
“Thou comedy to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.”
Of course, everyone how the story ends, as God delivered Goliath into David’s hands that day.
It should be the same with Israel today, the should, they must drive out Islamic people from their lands, they must root them up, destroy them, destroy their religion, destroy their culture, and annihilate them from off the face of the earth. Because there is only one God, forever to be praised.
It is non-negotiable.
Sometimes it is fun to just sit back and watch things happen, and we can’t help but speculate on the causes for the activity.
And then there is this:
There are also surges in searches for “statutes of limitations” “criminal lawyers” and “RICO laws” as well as “Washington DC searches soar for “Swiss bank” “offshore bank” “wire money” and “IBAN”.
I read today that we sent $4.4 billion in USAID to Haiti for home construction and a total of 8 homes resulted. As you guessed: huge amounts of it was raked off before it could even get out of the USA – an army of consultants and such. That is what terrifies them most…not that we’ll find the fraud, but that we’ll find out who’s bank accounts the money went into.
The thing is, there are several quick and efficient building systems ideal for places like Haiti, that can put up homes that are not going to get eaten by insects or taken over by mold, that can go up in days for a few thousand dollars each. I have seen systems that won competitions for emergency housing that I thought were fascinating, and ideal for humid climates—I am thinking of igloo-like rooms built of styrofoam blocks which are then sprayed with a liquified concrete mixture, which creates an insulated shell impervious to water and bugs and which resists high winds, with a shape that creates natural convection, pulling warm air up and out. There would be more expense in setting up water and sanitation than in building the houses.
And I thought the Clinton Foundation took over Haiti relief. /sarc off
These quick-to erect insulated rooms could be used to create communities for the “unhoused” but then there would have to be some rules to live there, and the main reason most people are chronically homeless is because they can’t or won’t comply with rules.
//Sarc off, indeed!
It’s hard to know deep down what Musk feels or his thoughts. But,
1.) Given that one of his sons committed suicide due to woke ideology and,
2.) Musk has many other children to protect from this evil mindset and,
3.) Musk is rather adamant he does not need their money and seems quite steadfast to threats and,
4.) Given that Musk has fathered his other children with several women it seems slim the chances of blackmailing him using some unintended sex reveal and,
5.) Like Trump, he is a business man who has been subjected to all kinds of negative leftist ideologies & regulations, part of the reason for firing so many employees from X and moving both X and SpaceX out of CA.
We live in an imperfect world and like the rest of us Musk will make his mistakes. We are all quite aware God uses imperfect people to carry out His will. Time will tell how well we each fulfill that will. For those who look for any way to malign the right, attempting to use our own moral compass against us; we use neither Trump or Musk for our spiritual advisors but do look for them to carry out their sworn duties to the American people to the best of their abilities. I know of many who did not have high regards for Trump to accomplish much politically when he first took office but rather hoped he’d slow the train wreck. It is fair that we hold that same skepticism to Musk, but I’m hopeful that he too exceeds our expectations.
I’d like to think that when all the details of the various fraud and money laundering schemes are revealed that millions of blue-collar Democrats are going to be a bit outraged at how their tax dollars have been subverted. And, from my standpoint, there are a few Republicans I’d like to see end up in orange jumpsuits as well.
But the problem is that those outraged Democrats will still vote for Democrats, just different PEOPLE—because the Left has so successfully brainwashed us into thinking that when we vote we vote for PEOPLE, or maybe ISSUES, not for a system of government. So those Dems will think “Yeah, we voted in the wrong PEOPLE so this time we’ll vote for different PEOPLE from the party and that will fix everything”.
If there’s even a 5 or 10% shift, that will spell the death knell of the Democrat Party. That’s kind of like saying blacks will always vote overwhelmingly Democrat because all they care about is free stuff. Turns out that more and more of them care about a better future for their kids.
I’m getting very curious about 2026 – we start with the GOP loses the House but probably holds the Senate (its just a very bad Senate map for the Dems…not a lot of real pickup opportunities and a couple current seats will take a big fight to retain). The Democrats are expecting this result…and they’re already laying the ground work to impeach and impeach and impeach. It’ll go nowhere in the Senate, of course, but the point isn’t to actually remove Trump but keep him so busy fighting allegations that he can’t press forward. I’m not certain this will work for Dems even in the best of circumstances: that is, I don’t think the American people want knee-to-groin political warfare to resume. But, be that as it may – that is what everyone expects to happen. But there’s at least an even money chance right now that all the Resist stuff is a huge turn off.
To be sure, if we have an economic meltdown later this year then 2026 is just going to go badly for us…nothing to do there but just ride it out. The economy will recover enough by 2028 that it won’t be a huge problem for the GOP. But, absent such a meltdown, if the Dems are perceived as the party of rancor plus defense of corrupt spending…we might get a very interesting result in 2026.
Ruh roh!
Yeah, but then you look at why so many Dems don’t approve of their Congresscritters: “SurveyUSA found that 60% of Democrats believe their lawmakers aren’t doing enough to oppose Trump.”
So this is not an indication that Democrats have learned anything or are paying attention. They are still lockstep mindless programmed robots obediently reacting to the narratives of their masters. They are still so locked into their braindead Identity Politics mindset that all they see is a PERSON, and they “know” they are supposed to hate and oppose him.
Yeah, but then you look at why so many Dems don’t approve of their Congresscritters: “SurveyUSA found that 60% of Democrats believe their lawmakers aren’t doing enough to oppose Trump.”
You’re looking at the glass as 60% empty. It’s actually 40% FULL.
Trump announces he wants 4 changes to voting privilege;
1-Day voting, Proof of citizenship, Voter ID and Watermarked paper ballots.
These will be significant in curtailing illegitimate votes. No doubt the left will scream “disenfranchisement” and push as much court interference as possible. If this all takes place soon there should be time to resolve most, if not all impediments.
So now it’s time for US to step up and make it work. How? Set up shuttles to take people to polling centers. Guarantee they will be totally devoid of any political messaging, and pick up the elderly and the poor and take them to vote in nice warm buses. Establish lots of satellite voting stations, all with security, but to counteract the inevitable whine of how we are making it so hard for people to vote. Maybe set up portable voting stations. I was just at an elementary school basketball tournament where they had a setup for team photos, and it was pretty neat—-a medium sized bus or van where a whole team could go in one door, pose in front of a backdrop, get the pictures taken, and go out the other door.
Voting used to be fun. I loved seeing neighbors, chatting, feeling like part of a community coming together. We could foster that again, to replace the isolation of just dropping an envelope in a box somewhere. We’ve already got a good vibe going, so we could focus on keeping that and developing it.
To Trump’s idea I would add making it a paid holiday, and I would work on a way to make proof of citizenship a little easier.
If there’s ever been a better political strategy than forcing your opponent to defend the indefensible, I don’t know what it is.
Keep digging…
Too soon?

I haven’t laughed that hard in a while.
Holy Sh*t! Talk about a twofer.
Time to rock and roll! I think defense attorney rates just went up in the District of Columbia.
I know! Talk about the A Team!
And the Left has gone ballistic here – “the deputy director is usually a career FBI agent!”. Yes, we know. We know full well you were planning on having a Deep State operative in there to sabotage Patel.
Anyone still confused about how Democrats view women?
I don’t think they understand how insulting this it to most women – sure, the blue-haired cat lady associate professor isn’t upset but that is a limited demographic. They might as well have gone with the crude “cum dumpster” on this.
I wonder what percentage of self-described feminists are re-thinking their political ideology. It’s like the movers and shakers in the Democrat Party all got together and said, “OK, what are all the ways we can offend women?”
Yeah, but I remember thinking this when the Bill Clinton rape, etc. came up. I remember thinking that he just lost the “feminists”. And they turned on the accusers with comments like “she’s too ugly to rape” and never pushed back at Carville’s comment “What do you expect when you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park?”
It was this that pushed me out of the Lib bubble and to the Right, but I was definitely in the minority, as the “feminists” never lost their passion for Bill and even transferred a lot of it to Hillary.
And as for “political ideology” it’s seldom actual political ideology and almost always just Identity Politics. With the Left it is increasingly not who on the Left gets the loyalty but who on the Right gets the most hate and opposition. But it’s always Identity, never a commitment to an actual political system.
