Trump may be playing a much deeper game than even his supporters suspect – that the Iran conflict is just one piece of a global puzzle designed to make NATO useful, or no more while at the same time imposing American dominance not just in the Naval sphere, but in the whole of global maritime commerce. Think about what he’s concentrating on – Panama, Greenland, Hormuz…some of the major choke points for global seaborne trade being taken under American power with a US President who wants a massive revival in American shipbuilding (once again, all true strategists concentrate on logistics…the movement of people and goods…Trump wants us in control of it). The NATO aspect is, crudely, poop or get off the pot…is NATO of any worth at all? Can NATO do something as simple as control a maritime trade corridor? If it can’t or won’t do that, what is the point of it?
And what, then, the point of the UN?
Things are moving on a deep level here…and I’m interested to see how Trump wraps it all up. The war with Iran will probably finish up to at least the main elements in the next seven to ten days. But the long term ramifications of it might be quite surprising and take some months to shake out.
There’s a non-zero chance that in the California jungle primary it is two GOPers who face off in November for governor. Naturally, Democrats will do all they can to ensure against this – but the seven Democrats in the race are all morons and egotistical…they might not be able to get enough of them to back out.
Latest propaganda line out of Tehran is that the more Mullahs we kill the stronger Iran gets. This is like me winning a fight by letting the other guy bash my face in. Its a bold strategy, we’ll see if it pays off.
The late Cesar Chavez – of United Farm Workers fame – appears to have been a guy who liked to abuse young girls. It isn’t all confirmed but it does look pretty bad for his reputation…and if it is true, then we have to keep in mind that everyone – and I mean everyone – around him must have known it was going on and kept their mouths shut because, at the time, Chavez was doing the Ruling Class’ bidding. Why tear him down now, years after his death? Because he was opposed to illegal immigration…and so the Left is unpersoning him posthumously.
Biden’s CIA identified “motherhood” and “homemaking” as indicators or racist extremism.
But it wasn’t just a brand new thing – essentially, since 1945, the things of the West have been considered by our Ruling Class as the markers for evil. They’ve been at war with them since the end of World War Two…it is just out in the open now.
Turns out it wasn’t Iran that closed the Straits of Hormuz after all, It was the maritime insurance companies who cancelled coverage on ships transiting the Straits. And, BTW, the closing of the Straits has virtually zero effect on our oil supply, but a significant effect on the oil supply of our adversaries. I found it telling that our supposed allies (NATO) refused to help protect their own supply of oil. Trump played them like a fiddle, and in less than 48 hours they’ve gone from “not our war” to “what can we do to help?”
And as they indulged in a chance to poke Trump in the eye (or so they thought) they just gave him exactly what he wanted—-proof that he has always been right about NATO and its claim of being an alliance of mutually supportive and defensive nations. Now when we pull out of NATO (which I hope we do) their very words will explain the reason and justify it.
And now….they are back, tails between legs, licking Trump’s boots and hoping he will overlook their pathetic sniveling.
🚨 BREAKING: After pressure from President Trump, six American allies just PLEDGED SUPPORT to secure the Strait of Hormuz shipping lanes
“That’s COUNTER to what they previously said!” 🔥
They are: Japan, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands
KEEP PUSHING, 47!
Finally, there might be some action regarding the immigration fraud by Ilhan Omar.

We have allowed the snake in the tent and we had better stay vigilant or the infestation will continue. Muslims are like cockroaches … they play the long game and they’re insidious and toxic and should never occupy our government. 25 years after 9/11 …. Prayer rugs and a Muslim lead NY. Who would have that? The Democrat party is a clear and present danger to America
A very childish moment happened in the Senate yesterday during the Markwayne Mullin hearing …. Rand Paul apparently had his ego bruised and he decided to take his entire time confronting Mullin on the “names” he called him. Who TF cares Rand???? This is what is wrong with our government … IMHO, nearly every single member there has lost sight of their job, and instead think they should be glorified for their “service and sacrifice”. I am glad these two had a confrontation … it’s about time. I am sick and tired of all of them debating and calling each other “my friend and colleague”. I don’t care if my Congressman or Senator is “friends” with any of them, I elected them to do a job and if that means getting in someones face, then so be it. I am not interested in negotiating with people who I have nothing in common with. And just for the record …. I could not give two shits what other people think of me or what names they may call me. Never have, never will.
But the real problem with Rand Paul’s temper tantrum is that he then used it as the basis for voting against Mullin.
BTW did you happen to see the clip where Mullin talked about his son having a brain injury and being on the verge of death and Trump going to the hospital to visit him? This was during the campaign and Trump spent a lot of time with the unconscious child, “loving on him” and then called Mullin every single day to check on him. It’s not like Trump had anything else on his mind, just running for the presidency, but he kept that injured little boy in his heart and in his mind—and his visit and the attention he gave the child was the beginning of the boy’s regaining some of his short-term memory.
I did see that and it was heartwarming. NO OTHER politician would have done that, or did that, and it shows the character of people we are up against. Trump is genuinely a good man and we all need to start confronting those who slander him. Violently if needed.
This is what Mullin said about Rand Paul, in context, during a speech in Tulsa:
“Rand doesn’t ever vote with [Republicans] when it comes to appropriation bills. I had to vote against it because if that would have passed, not only would it have killed the bill, but it would also have killed the farm bill which is tied to social programs. If you change the ratio (about 70/30) you must redo the entire farm bill.
What Rand was trying to do was trying to kill the farm bill because he’s trying to legalize hemp for drinks in Kentucky because of tobacco industry shifts. There is always a backstory.
I respect Bernie Sanders because he’s an open socialist, and you know that he’s a communist so you know what you’re getting. Rand Paul’s a freaking snake. And I understand completely why his neighbor did what he did. And I told him that to his face. ”
So Paul tries to act like the whole thing is about him being called a freaking snake, with some whining that Mullin advocates physical violence, not even addressing the meat of the statement, which is about Paul trying to sacrifice a bill to advance an advantage for his state.
Love the headline on Malone’s Friday Funnies.
When has more taxes ever made things better??? Kathy Hochul is out there today excoriating high income earners from leaving NY, saying they should stick around and support her “generous welfare system”. Hochul thinks that she just needs more money and everything will be good. This is the same Kathy Hochul who thinks billionaires and white supremacy are the greatest threats to America. Yes, that’s right, she personally attacks the same people who she is now begging to help her out and she doesn’t understand why they refuse. This is the level of people we are dealing with in the Democrat Party. There is something very wrong with all of them
Talk about missing the point! That “generous welfare system” is what is driving people away! These people are telling her to be “generous” with someone else’s money because they are tired of her taking theirs.
And here’s a thought … how about if Kathy shows the benefits and progress that has been made over the last couple of decades with that “generous welfare system”. In the real world, accountability matters.
And here we are reminded that back in 2022, Hochul told these very same people to leave NY … because she was netter than they were. LOL. YCMTSU

They’re like toddlers – absolutely no conception of cause and effect…just believers in magical incantation and temper tantrums.
Rest in peace Chuck Norris.

Fraud in the CA Hospice industry is being exposed and it’s YUGE, as is CA daycare fraud. And all of this on top of the MN Somali fraud. It’s a sobering realization to think that the majority of our nations $36 trillion debt is due to fraud … but I think it’s true. That’s why it’s time to end the filibuster and end the Democrat Party. Pass the SAVE act without Democrats and never, ever let this current Democrat party win anything. They are wholly corrupt and completely unAmerican.
Do think if we were to link the fraud cost with high taxes and suggest that income taxes could be reduced if we quit throwing money at criminals it might resonate with some of the mouth breathers who refuse to give Trump credit for anything? I know it would be a complicated concept, but maybe a cartoon showing two people with equal amounts of money, one of them taking half his money out of his pocket and throwing it away and the other keeping his, and then comparing what each one has might eventually get the idea across. Certainly nothing else seems to. Look at all the hysteria about Musk uncovering all that fraud and waste—the Left was OUTRAGED. INFURIATED. So much so that many decided to punish Musk by taking out their fury on people who had bought cars he once designed.
Yup and this is the point. People who are this deranged and violent should not be allowed to govern anything. We are also witnessing in real time in America the dangers of a poor education, single parent households, and victim based mentalities. I’ll say it again … white nationalism is vastly superior to brown collectivism and we all need to be round of that fact.
Interesting story about the two missiles Iran supposedly fired at the joint US/UK base on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. The missile in question had a previously listed maximum range of 3,000 km, and that was by our intelligence estimates. Iran publicly said they had limited it to 2,000 km. Diego Garcia is approximately 4,000 km from Iran. Iran claims the missiles were fired on a trajectory to reach Diego Garcia. Our side if pretty mum about the whole episode. One missile failed and dropped in the ocean. No one is saying how close it got to Diego Garcia. The other one was intercepted by one of our warships, but maybe not. Ambiguous at best, but, in either case, it failed to reach it’s intended target. If Iran really does have an intermediate range ballistic missile that can reach a target 4,000 miles away, then most of Europe is not safe. On the flip side, we now know where those missiles were launched from, and it’s doubtful that that site will exist for long, if it hasn’t already been turned into dust.
I read about these two missiles and their extended range compared to the claims always made by Iran. And I kept thinking “Why?” Because while this was kind of explained in the article I read as a warning to Europe that they aren’t as safe as they thought they were, in the current circumstances that didn’t make much sense to me. One might think that Iran would like to have people/nations lined up to turn against the United States, instead of sending a big dramatic message to Europe, et al, that TRUMP WAS RIGHT !! WE ARE REALLY DANGEROUS !!
I’m missing a perceived advantage to making the rest of world 1) see them as totally untrustworthy (“we aren’t a threat, all we have is little dinky short-range missiles, trust us”) and 2) realize the scope of threat they can pose.
OTOH, considering Trump’s evolving strategic skills and Israel’s deviousness (aka Pagergate) I would not be a bit surprised to learn, someday, that Iran never wanted these missiles fired but wanted to keep them a secret till they could use them, and that our side figured out how to get fingers on the buttons and expose that little secret.
Sounds like something out of a Brad Thor novel, doesn’t it?
Always good to keep in mind that Obama’s Iran Deal was designed to give Iran all the time and money they needed to build nukes and put them on IRBM’s. It has been a goal of the American – and overall Western – defense and foreign policy Establishments since the fall of the USSR to build up America’s enemies so that the USA cannot have freedom of action in the world (that the Mullahs would have nuked Israel doesn’t enter into the equation: and while some of the Establishment hates Jews, the larger part just don’t care how many people die as long as it isn’t them). It seems to me that this was Iran’s latest effort – and probably wasn’t ready for deployment. I doubt they have many more, if any at all. The Krauts were working on a multi-stage V-2 to strike New York…never got off the ground, of course. This is probably akin to that and as all of Iran’s assets are “use it or lose it”, they launched.
But it does show what the Mullah’s were aiming for – at least IRBM with nukes…IOW, put the entire Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Europe under threat. This would have forced the Saudis to get nukes (there are persistent rumors that Saudi paid for Pakistan’s nuke program on the agreement that the Saudi’s have an option to buy at need). A huge mess – and, also, the survival of the Mullah regime for untold decades to come. Trump has rescued us from a lot of death and monetary expense.
No wonder America loses wars … we have too many weak ass people in this country. This from Glenn Greenwald today on Substack
We presented a live video report and analysis this evening of the Iran War and the key developments over the last two days. Unless Trump simply withdraws amid tenuous declarations of victory — far from the “unconditional surrender” he recently demanded as the sole acceptable outcome — this war is not headed to a quick resolution. It is, quite predictably, doing the opposite: spiraling, escalating and becoming increasingly dangerous. Everyone wants to believe that their country is winning in every war. Anger is a common reaction to those who suggest this is not the case. But the role of a journalist, or any citizen, is to understand events as they are, not as one wishes them to be.
”Unless Trump simply withdraws amid tenuous declarations of victory”.
Iran has been a known global threat for 50 years. They oppress their women, kill gay people (like you Glenn), they kill political dissidents, they just killed over 30,000 of their own people because they protested and you want Trump to withdraw???? Are you getting scared Glenn???
Never be afraid to die for doing what is right.
Jeff Childers addressed Greenwald’s comments yesterday:
You’d think, at this point, that serious journalists (a group in which I would include Glenn Greenwald) would be savvy to Trump’s MO.
The war with Iran is already won – it is just a matter of wrapping it up. I personally think it wraps up in the next week. There are signs of cracks in the Mullah minions while the Marines are now just three days away from theater.
Interesting year for March Madness. It may change after today’s games narrow it down to the Sweet Sixteen, but, so far, 15 of the top 16 seeds have survived. Only #3 Gonzaga was upset by #11 Texas.
Gonzaga breaks my heart every year
These are fun to watch.
Perspective:
Reading some reports that Iran has the Strait closed down and I struggle to think how they can do that …. I also struggle with knowing that rugged oil tanker men are afraid to go through the strait for fear that some towel headed piece of shit might blow them up … why do they cower like that???? I’ll never understand
There’s something about this whole conflict that you and I are not aware of or privy to. I WAS privy to satellite photos of Iran back in the 80s, and the technology has gotten orders of magnitude better since then. If we don’t know EXACTLY where every single military asset is in Iran, I’d be shocked. Now some of them may be harder to destroy than others, but I doubt they have anything that we can’t destroy.
Lloyds cut off the insurance – it isn’t the crews. Not even the owners. It is that no ship is going to move without liability insurance. No lawyer would allow it. Essentially, the British government has closed the straight, not the Mullahs. This was intended to rocket up oil prices for the world but most especially for the USA…they didn’t reckon with Trump, though, who is counterbalancing that by offering insurance while also opening up oil spigots which keeps American fuel costs under control.
It’s the bean counters who make the decisions, the guys who evaluate the financial losses of ships+cargo. How long does it take to build and outfit a huge oil tanker? Every day is money lost, in addition to the outlay of money. The ship owners make these calculations, and so do the insurers. It’s the same reason nobody was selling flood insurance the day before Hurricane Ian was predicted to make landfall—-when the risk factor gets too high, insurers back off. The tanker crews have nothing to do with it.
Understand but I thought Trump and Bessent offered an alternative insurance program for that. Apparently though they still have enough artillery left to make credible threats.
Because there is fear that either Trump won’t deliver or that some federal district judge will tie it up…so, frozen.
I think the end game is US Marines – and I think it is Bandar Abbas and the islands offshore of it that will be the target…essentially, take the Straight, ourselves.
