Blogging Hiatus

Ladies and gentlemen, I must announce at this time that I am going on a blogging hiatus.  I do appreciate all of you here on Blogs for Victory – and especially those who go all the way back to Blogs for Bush.  But it has just become impossible for me to blog at the rate that I have been (its got to be more than two entries per day, on average, for each day of the last 8 years).  It has been taking too much time away from my other responsibilities, especially to my wife.

So, this will be my last entry for a while – at least 6 months.  If I do come back to blogging, it will only be to make weekly or maybe bi-weekly entries.  I hope that you can all forgive me for leaving you so suddenly and with such little warning, but it is just the way it has to be, for now.  As an aside, if any of you have wished to write for a blog, this would be a good time to contact Matt…I don’t know what his firm plans are, but he may wish to keep this blog going and as both he and I found out over the years, that takes a lot of doing.

God bless you all and good luck and I do hope to see you in the blogosphere in the future.

Sincerely,

Mark Edward Noonan

Godspeed in whatever you decide to do or not do in the future. Enjoyed the time with you and have a feeling that we will cross paths again.

Mark, was it something I said? Seriously, I have really enjoyed reading your opinions on the issues of the day for the last several years, and you will be missed. Best wishes to and your family and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Matt, just a suggestion to fill the void – I think Amazona, Spook, Neo, and even GMB could deliver some interesting threads that I know would interest me, and I wouldn’t mind throwing in the occasional thread, and it might take all of us to fill Mark’s shoes – what’s the saying? It takes a village.

Funny thing, I just sent an email off volunteering. If you think you have seen me mangle the english language, you are wrong! 😛

    Mark,

As you know, the main reason I’ve been coming here for nearly 8 years is because I enjoy not only your take on most issues, but the mix of topics as well. Over those 8 years I’ve taken a hiatus on several occasions myself, once for around 6 months. I can’t imagine doing what you’ve done for as long as you’ve done it. From one sailor to another; fair winds and following seas, my friend.

I have only been to your blog every day for the past three months. I appreciate your take on things. I have enjoyed posting my take on your site. I hope that you do what is best for you and your family. If you make it back on the Sphere as a writer we will be glad to have you back. Until that happens, I am glad to count you as a friend, a fellow researhcer/writer, and a strong American. God Bless

I have been a regular viewer of this blog for quite awhile and an active participant in some of its posted discussions. I share many of the same concerns that Mark addresses in his posts, and I believe that good rational discussions can help us all as we seek to personally respond to the challenges that confront us as we seek handle the changing circumstances of our personal and civic lives in our communities and in the world. I haven’t been blogging as long as Mark, but I do publish a blog that addresses many of his concerns. The objective of my blog is to get people to carefully consider “What is good?” in their lives and to talk with others about this matter. I invite the viewers of this blog to check out my blog and to join in an ongoing discussion of these issues. You will find my blog at http://christianityetc.org/blog . There is a lot for us to talk about, and now is not the time to silence the discussions. I think that viewers will find me to be a fair and rational moderator for the discussions. I invite you to check out “A good blog”. It would be a pleasure to share with you in an ongoing discussion of these matters.

      Mark
When one door of your life is closed God opens another.
Walk through it in faith and dont look back.
There IS a reason for this, and it will be revealed in it’s proper time.
