The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday that 45 million people in 2011 received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, a 70% increase from 2007. It said the number of people receiving the benefits, commonly known as food stamps, would continue growing until 2014.
It’ll grow until 2017, at least, unless we rid ourselves of Obama this November. Though some people are starting to sound rather hopeful in that regard.
Obama has been an utter catastrophe for the United States – you take Johnson, Nixon and Carter, roll them in to one huge, nauseating political ball and you won’t get the disaster which is President Obama. I honestly don’t think that Obama cares for America – not for the America that we Americans live in. He has this vision of an entirely different America; something alien to our experience and against our finest ideals. An America of socialist “rights” is what Obama wants – a right to government support, a right to not work, a right to be in school for decades, a right to retire early, a right to an abortion, a right to all the sex we can stand; and, of course, since he’s from Chicago, a right to political payoffs if you are properly connected to the elite…but no right to free speech, no right to worship God, no right to bear arms…
I am in good spirits, though – disgusted with things as they are, but still feeling confident. I do believe we are awake. Underneath the relentless MSM propaganda for Obama the real fight is going on…with patriots working hard to defeat Obama and these patriots will not be denied. We’ll see how things come out – but on November 7th, I suspect we who love America will be highly pleased with the election results.

As you know, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed on February 26, and the alleged shooter, George Zimmerman, has been charged with Second Degree murder. The details of this night are still emerging and it is important for all of the facts to get out. Given the seriousness of this matter, I think it is important that the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the state attorneys complete their investigation. From the media reports I have read, the shooter is claiming the Stand Your Ground Law is applicable in this case. However, as I have stated in public media outlets “Stand Your Ground is a self-defense law. It does not allow you to get in your car, chase someone down and then shoot them because you were scared.”
Until we know the facts of this case, the calls for a debate on whether this law should be changed are premature. I continue to stand by my belief that the Second Amendment to the Constitution should not be altered.

George Zimmerman stunned a Florida court today by taking the stand and apologizing to the parents of Trayvon Martin, who were sitting in the courtroom during Zimmerman’s bond hearing.
“I am sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not,” Zimmerman said addressing Martin’s family directly.
Martin’s father, Tracy Martin, cried tears of anger after the apology, his attorney Ben Crump told reporters after the hearing.
Ben Crump, a lawyer for Martin’s parents, said the family was
furious that Zimmerman could “give this self serving apology so he could get a bond.” One of the lawyers for the family called the apology “disingenuous and insincere.”

The arrest affidavit did not mention the photograph, or the bleeding, gashes, and bruises on Zimmermans’ head. Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School stated upon release of the arrest affidavit that it was “so thin that it won’t make it past a judge on a second degree murder charge … everything in the affidavit is completely consistent with a defense of self-defense.”
After the release of the photo, however, Dershowitz went much further, telling Breitbart News that if the prosecutors did have the photo and didn’t mention it in the affidavit, that would constitute a “grave ethical violation,” since affidavits are supposed to contain “all relevant information.”
Dershowitz continued, “An affidavit that willfully misstates undisputed evidence known to the prosecution is not only unethical but borders on perjury because an affiant swears to tell not only the truth, but the whole truth, and suppressing an important part of the whole truth is a lie.”
When asked if it made a difference whether the prosecution had the bloody photograph at the time they charged Zimmerman, Dershowitz responded, “We do know that there were earlier photographs before the affidavit was done that strongly suggested blood on the back of the head, and we know the police had first access to him, so if there was blood they [the prosecution] would know about it …
“I’ve had cases in Florida against prosecutors,” Dershowitz said, “and this is not the first time they have willfully omitted exculpatory evidence. It’s a continuing problem. Here, it’s not only immoral, but stupid. The whole country is watching. What do they benefit from having half-truths in an affidavit?”

Rather, she correctly stated that an on line image of a document is not competent. It had nothing to do with authenticity. The fact that Hawaii has produced a certified copy of the same image and continues to stand behind the document is conclusive proof that what was posted on line is genuine.

Mr. Nugent is voicing his displeasure at the way Mr. Obama is governing the country, handling economic issues, what have you. Although Mr. Nugent is not a saved man, I can understand where he is coming from.
What I like about Ted, as I said, is he is a strong defender of the 2nd amdendment, and freedom of speech. He’s a strong defender of our rights as citizens in general.
About the one thing that he and I have most in common is his love of hunting with archery equipment. He’s a good bowhunter.
But as to his opinions on political matters, I don’t have a really clear picture of everything that he stands for…just know that he seems to be on the right track, and is trying to wake people up to the dangers that Obama poses to this nation in the event that he should be granted another 4 years as the dictator-in-chief.

The reason Christians are hated is because those who hate Christians have rejected Christ for so long that they have what is termed in the Bible as a “seared conscience.”
Or, as it’s called in Romans 1 – a reprobate mind (the equivalent to a seared conscience).
What does it mean to “sear”?
Webster’s Intermediate Dictionary says…
1: To cause withering or drying : PARCH, SHRIVEL 2 a: to burn, scorch, or injure with sudden application of intense heat b: to brown the surface of quickly in cooking.
So we might say a “withered conscience” that is impervious to the advances (calling) of God’s Holy Spirit.
What is the conscience?
Webster’s Intermediate Dictionary has…
Conscience n: the sense of the moral goodenss or blameworthiness of one’s own conduct, intentions, or character together with a feeling of obligation to do right.
In other words, what we can take from that, is that our conscience is the part of our intellect that determines what we perceive to be right from wrong.
Okay, when our conscience is seared (withered or burned away) then we have no chance of the Holy Spirit guiding us in the right direction, and to differentiate between in what must do right and what we are not to do, that which we should steer away from, the wrong.
Christ embodied good and right, because He was God in the flesh, Jesus is God.
The world, and the carnal nature that inhabits those who have not rejected the flesh are/is at enmity with Jesus Christ and His teachings/instructions/ the person of Christ. (Notice the Jews at his Crucifixion who denied those like Barabbas in favor of Jesus who was innocent in every way.) Now I can’t say for sure that all these people had a seared conscience. But in an effort to elevate the the Priesthood politically, they showed the classic symptom of what a seared conscience looks like. The conviction placed on their consciences must have felt like a hot nail piercing one of the more sensitive parts of the body like the sole of the foot. And without understanding, or rationality, they crucify their only hope that was, and still is in the Man who they nailed to the Cross, and ultimately would shed His innocent blood as redemption for their sins.
I have no doubt that many of these people later went on to get saved…such as the centurion (or roman guard) who praised God and said Luke 23:47 – “Certainly this man was innocent!”
Let’s take a look at what Jesus said, and He will give us a clearer picture of why His followers are hated today, and have been hated over the centuries…
John 15:18-27
If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than its master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But the word that is written in their law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’ “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.”
Isn’t that amazing? God cared so much about us that He sent His Son to die for us, and now, for those who believe in Him will receive His Holy Spirit as mentor so that we might better do His good will, and have the assurance of victory through Christ Jesus Our Lord.
A final word on the hatred toward Christians, we can find many examples of this hatred coming from those who are Left-wing oriented in this nation. Bill Maher as one good example, and many more who have written books, and created films defaming the Bible and Christians. But we as Christians have our example given to us in God’s Word explaining and giving reason as to why we are hated, enduring it because Christ first endured it for us when He went to the Cross, scorning it’s shame, and now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf.
I know a woman who preens about her Christianity. She goes to church several times a week, she has a Bible crammed with bookmarks prominently placed on her coffee table, and everywhere she goes she leaves behind religious pamphlets, etc.
Her daughter told me that this woman flies into horrible tantrums, and then frantically pages through her Bible, looking for specific passages she has marked for when she will need them, and then waves this Bible in the face of whoever she is lecturing, shrieking “THIS is what God tells you to do!!! THIS is why you are going to hell for treating me like you do!!” and so on.
So it seems that her “religion” is less about learning about God’s love for her, and about how to achieve her personal redemption, and much more about acquiring ammunition to use against her family because they don’t act the way she has decided they should act. She is quite proud of the fact that she has such a deeper understanding of God’s word.
Whenever dennis starts in with his litany of cherry-picked Bible quotes, to harangue us on our spiritual failings, using his vast Christian faith and understanding to look down on us for our dennis-described shortcomings, my mental picture is of this woman, running after her daughter down the driveway, waving her bookmarked Bible over her head, shrieking “SEE??? THIS IS WHY YOU WILL NEVER GET TO HEAVEN!!!”
While, of course, being a self-centred pompous shrew and a cold unloving mother.
