If ever there was a city that is ripe for a conservative black congressman, it’s Chicago.

According to what I’ve read, he was one of the founders of the Broke Party – so, I’m sure he’s got some views you and I would disagree with…but the main thing is that he’s right: we, the people, are at fault if we keep electing people who are wrecking things. Chicago, outside of the carefully guarded enclaves of the liberal elite, is a disaster area…I want this man McKinley to win, even if winds up being a thorn in our flesh, too…he’ll be a signal that change really can come.

We’ve got to break in to Chicago – if we can start to win some votes there, then Illinois falls to us. This man may not be perfect, but he understands that the current power structure in Chicago is corrupt to the bone and change must come if things are to improve.

Even if McKinley doesn’t win, he’s our introduction to Cook County voters…our way of starting to get our message out there. And our way to learn just what the people there are thinking – and that will instruct us in how to transmit a conservative message in a way which they can understand and support.

you sleep with dogs, you get fleas just like them.
When the plantation hits a drought of OPM then and only will things change in those demographics, communism has sufficiently poisoned the well for generations.

I don’t see it that way – see it more as they just haven’t been told of any other way. Think about it – they grow up in Chicago and are educated in absolutely lousy schools where they are indoctrinated in to liberal thinking. Often, the preachers in their churches are liberal tools which just reinforce what they learn in school. Then the entire political power structure keeps telling them what school and church have taught. When did any of the poor of Chicago ever get a chance to even find out that there is an alternative? And yet, some of them do see the need for an alternative…we have to provide it for them.

There is a story in the third volume of Solzhenitsy’s Gulag Archipelago about a bit of labor unrest in the 1960’s in the USSR…the people had finally been pushed to the limit by poverty, shortages and misgovernment and so they went on strike and started holding political demonstrations. And who’s picture did they carry on banners? Lenin’s! Now, you and I know that Lenin was a beast every bit as bad as Stalin, but these people simply didn’t know any better…and Soviet teaching had been uniform in telling Soviet people that Lenin was saint-like. The people grabbed the only alternative image they could – the only one they could possibly know about. So it is with the frustrated poor and middle class people in the blue cities…they simply don’t know who we are and what we’re saying. Tell them, and a good portion of them will come with us…but how are you going to tell them unless it is via people they already know and trust?

why do they need a black to represent them? why not just a conservative?
this is one of our major minority problems, they think only a fellow of the same skin color can represent “THEM”…..
