The Odd Reaction to Christopher Dorner

No, I haven’t read his “manifesto” and I’m not inclined to ever do so.  You want me to read your revolutionary manifesto?  Then engage in a full scale attack on a police station or military base – don’t bushwhack unarmed people, especially if one of them is merely the daughter of the person you’re mad at.  Real revolutionaries are manly and do the right thing.  But what Dorner has done and is doing is of less interest to me than some of the reactions I’ve seen.

Twitchy has been diligent in gathering reactions, and Robert Wargas went over to Huffington Post and got a large sample, as well.  What is happening is that a lot of our liberal friends out there are finding much to cheer about in the actions of Dorner.   Dorner is described as a hero – which does make a little bit of sense once you place yourself in a liberal mindset:  liberals have a long history of applauding cowards who attack the unarmed in the name of “justice”.  The Los Angeles Police Department is described as a pack of racist pigs who are getting what they deserve, and t his is after decades of the LAPD making every possible effort – often to the detriment of actual law enforcement activities – to implement “diversity” at the command of our liberals.

This is all very bizarre.  Liberals are essentially applauding violent, insane attacks upon the sources of their own power – and describing someone as a hero who, had he been of the right, they would have condemned as a lunatic.  Ultimately, this whole case is just another bit of proof that we are living in the Age of Lies…so much moral confusion that way too many people here – starting with Dorner – are disconnected from reality

Yesterday on his Facebook page, professional victimologist and societal agitator Rev. Jesse Jackson posted an open letter to Christopher Dorner, the fugitive murderer whose manifesto reads like a battle cry from Jackson’s own website.

    *Dear Christopher Dorner,

I understand your feelings of hurt and pain.

    j1369
    so you continue lying……..
glad to see you continue to praise klintoon and rino for the murder of 85+ women and children…by the government.
    you must be so proud

Not sure when liberals began applauding 2nd Amendment remedies being used against abusive government power. I would have assumed liberals want to take away Dorner’s guns…

You skip a few weeks on the internet and everything changes.

Just wait a bit – eventually, someone who can be tied to the right will go off like this and then our liberals will be back to normal…

bozo has been civil since his return, and I suggest that mindless insults are not productive. If he returns to his bad old ways, then the gloves are on the ice, but if he is willing to present a civil explanation of Leftist points of view and beliefs then this will add to the discourse on the blog.

      WOW

It sounds like the public needs “to be extraordinarily cautious with” the police who are out gunning for Dorner! Or maybe the public needs to issue a request for the police to “be extraordinarily cautious” about bystanders.

It now appears that there were two women in the truck delivering newspapers—a mother and adult daughter. The mother was shot twice in the back and is in ICU. She’s expected to live. The daughter cut her hand on shattered glass.

They were extremely fortunate. You can see a larger picture of the shot up truck here.

The police simply opened fire on the vehicle before seeing who was inside the cab. Then it happened again. Police in a nearby area were alerted about the truck and the alleged presence of Dorner in the area. When they saw a truck drive by, they opened fire. This time no one was hit with a bullet.

    Bozo,
remember when Sarah Palin and the right wing media, were indirectly blamed for the shooting of Gabbie Giffords? Weill in Dorner’s manifesto, he specifically names many liberal media pundits, and fully supports Obama.

Any comments on that from the clown gallery?

    • neocon01 February 9, 2013 / 4:08 pm

Worse, he is employing the exaggerations of the system against itself. Dorner announced in his manifesto that he has the ‘high powered magazines’ and ‘assault rifles’ which the public has been scared into regarding as the next plague on earth. Jesse Jackson recently described these as able to “blow up railroads” and shoot down airplanes. He said “semi-automatic weapons are not just about gun control, they’re about national security,”while appearing on Fox News. A Notice to Airmen has been issued for the area around Bear Lake, where Dorner was last spotted, and the whole resort town is in lockdown, what with a man on the loose armed with what Piers Morgan described as “incredibly powerful” weapons.

They are now hoist on their own hyperbole.

Although Dorner will probably fall in the end he is demonstrating how easy it is to exploit the mistrust and paranoia of the system. He is beating the system over the head with its own falsehoods. Many people are willing to believe the worst about the LAPD or eager to embrace the most vile possible construction on events, not because they are necessarily true, but because the system is no longer quite so trusted. And even when Dorner is finally cornered he will go down in certain circles as some kind of rebel, instead of as a kook.

        Mitch,

Seriously – your thoughts on Dorner specifically naming some members of the liberal media, like Chris Matthews, in his manifesto. Is the liberal media complicit in murder in this case? As members of that same media tried to indict Sarah Palin in the Gabbie Giffords shooting. Just curious what you think.

      • Cluster February 10, 2013 / 8:15 pm

So Mitch, not sure what to say? I can’t blame you. Pretty hard to defend. Do you find just a bit disingenuous, hypocritical, shameful, and despicable that the liberal media who were trying hard to pin blame on Palin over the Giffords shooting, suddenly find themselves in in the cross hairs so to speak, yet remain very quiet about it?

That’s people of your persuasion Mitch.

Now, now, play nice. It looks like poor twitchy got up on the wrong side of the straightjacket this morning, and is feeling a little grumpy.

This is the first time I remember him hiding behind his mommy, though.

I’m sure the stress of researching the Republican platform and outlining its “insanity” has him a little on edge, so let’s just give him some space and see what he has to say about it. I am sure we will see an analysis of the platform and each of its components, and an in-depth explanation of the sanity quotient of each.

And then we we can discuss that pesky Rogue Apostrophe. Or, as twitchy might write it, that Rogue Apo’strophe.

      • tiredoflibbs February 11, 2013 / 1:31 pm

Well mitchie I was taught not to whine about the treatment I receive when I engage in the same behavior!

Don’t even try to play the sainted victim you continually try to present.

        what OTHERS think………….

        “To: Morgana
If you’ve got the suspect surrounded, burn his house down.
If you have a drone that can take out an American citizen, take the shot.

This is what we’ve come to. This is where are as a country. There is not even a leap necessary to get to extermination camps — they would be an implementation effort only, not a philosophical effort. Government sanctioned killing of citizens without benefit of trial is now how we do business.

Phony Nam flashbacks there empathy boy? Still mourning those phony Holocaust relatives? Too busy to plagiarize another news article. More than likely you are stuck on that vacuum effect.

Sociopath??? Don’t want to see one? I would advise you avoid mirrors at all cost.

Why a liar like you is tolerated here is beyond comprehension.

But twitchy, what is so “disgusting” about homosexual fellatio? Gee, even Seinfeld agrees “there’s nothing wrong with that” and the Left absolutely LOVES it.

      • Amazona February 11, 2013 / 11:20 am

Poor choice of words, there. Someone came to pick me up to go out and I finished in a hurry.

I am not saying that everyone one the Left loves homosexual fellatio. What I AM saying is that the Left loves to support homosexuality and all its acts, and that twitchy’s comment was awfully homophobic and hateful.

Were the Left to be intellectually consistent, Larry Sinclair’s comments about his experiences with Barack Obama would merely contribute to his aura of specialness and wonderfulness and would be touted as his commitment to inclusiveness and diversity.

      poor lil bmitchie;
a google search and 15 seconds exposes your lies and the truth about bathouse barry.

“Nobody who knew Obama in the gay bar scene thought he could possibly be president,” said DuJan.

DuJan, founder and editor of the Hillary Clinton-supporting website HillBuzz.org, told WND he has first-hand information from two different sources that “Obama was personally involved in the gay bar scene.”

“If you just hang out at these bars, the older guys who have been frequenting these gay bars for 25 years will tell you these stories,” DuJan said. “Obama used to go to the gay bars during the week, most often on Wednesday, and they said he was very much into older white guys.”

Obama, DuJan said, is “not heterosexual and he’s not bisexual. He’s homosexual.”

Well I think we found our next Secretary of Defense. Meet Chris Hayes with MSNBC:

What, people ask, is the alternative to small war, if not big war? And the answer no one ever seems to consider is no war. If the existence of people out in the world who are actively working to kill Americans means we are still at war, then it seems to me we will be at war forever and we’ll surrender control over whether that is the state we do in fact want to be in. There’s another alternative. We could be a nation that declares its war over, that declares itself at peace, and goes about rigorously and energetically intelligence and diplomacy and well-resourced police work to protect us from future attacks.

Got that folks? We just declare peace and like magic, it’s all over. Who knew it was that easy? Great job Chris.

Perhaps Dorner T-shirts will be seen on those currently celebrating the “heroism” of Che Guevara.

Who knows, perhaps our civil war will be nothing more than a battle of bumper stickers and T shirt slogans—–one side boasting that Dorner is their hero and the other declaring that they would rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than skeet shooting with Barack Obama.
