The Rich, Not the Left, are the Enemy

Saw this on Twitter:

And it is real. They are paying people to stop farming. You know: growing food. As has been pointed out: you are the carbon they want reduced.

You see this and then you take Sri Lanka in mind, see all the fast food corps trying to market “beyond beef” products, endless articles about how we can eat bugs instead of meat…deliberately pushing up gas and oil costs while pushing electric vehicles while mega corps buy up residential property to rent it out. Sorry, but I see a plan: reduce human population and have what remains jammed into mega-cities where common folks eat bug paste in their life pods while getting around by bicycle or electric train. Did some group of rich people sketch this out? Not sure: but the various rich people NGO’s are all singing from the same Green hymnal and it all comes out to regular people having less, with the subtext being there will be fewer regular people.

Leave aside whether this is or isn’t a global conspiracy and you’re still left with the fact of what they are doing: in the name of “saving the planet” they are proposing we completely restructure our society to be Green – and no matter how you slice it, Green gives you less food and energy. With seven billion people on Earth, the wheels of agriculture, manufacturing and transport must turn rapidly in order for everyone to get their daily bread. If you interfere with that, there simply won’t be enough to go around. And rely on it, if there are shortages, the rich people telling us to go Green aren’t suffering them. Went to the store today to get yellow peppers and they didn’t have any. Hardly any red peppers, either. This isn’t odd food – this is staple stuff for the modern American diet. Bin after bin where the peppers normally are sit empty. But I guarantee you that if Gates wants some yellow peppers with his dinner tonight, he’s got them or will have them within the hour.

So, in my view, it isn’t the Left that we really have a problem with. They’re just kooks who don’t know anything – the problem comes in when the rich adopt Leftist views and seek to implement them. As to just why billionaires want to impose the ideals of ignorant Marxists, I don’t know for certain. It is probably a variety of reasons: but the underlying issue is that the Masters of the Universe want to remain Masters…and they are more than happy to change title and Party Line as long as they stay rich and in charge. Chesterton pointed this out more than a century ago when he noted that the British Ruling Class would have no problem changing over from being Duke of Norfolk to being Administrator of Norfolk. Because at the end of all plans of the rich, they remain fabulously rich, immune to law and firmly in control. What matters to you if the mass of people are crammed into stinking, crime ridden cities? You’ve just flown out to your private island after another Geneva confab and you’re getting ready for you and your buddies to abuse some young men and girls.

We have to cease worrying about absurdities like AOC or the latest Tik Tok Progressive weirdo who is grooming kids to be trans – these are problems and they’ll have to be dealt with, but the way to deal with them is to get rid of the rich people. Get rid of those who fund, promote and protect the Marxist fruitcakes. The Marxist numbskulls would be powerless and ignored except for very rich people funneling them money so they can attack not the rich, but you and me with our suburban homes, cars and our weekend trip to the beach (and the Rich hates that – hates that right next to their zillion dollar beachfront home are regular folks just being there). And do keep that in mind: for all the Left’s “eat the rich” rhetoric, their practical policy demands are for you and me to have less…less money, less property, less freedom. And who want us to have less? Those who have the most – their wealth is sacred, ours is Destroying the Planet. The footsoldiers of the Left are just too stupid to see how they are being manipulated…but that is no surprise because you have to be monumentally stupid to be a Leftist to begin with. But they are still not the enemy – the most aggressive BLM/Antifa rioter is not your enemy. He’s an idiot. He’s a tool. And he’s sent out against you by people who have fabulous fortunes, almost all inherited or recently acquired via political connections.

Unless and until we make this mental shift and realize that the rich are our enemies, we’re really not going to get anywhere. Any victory will be temporary in nature. Defeated in one field, they’ll just use their money to open up another one…and it doesn’t take them much money. Just a few million dollars can fund all sorts of people and programs to attack us. And what is even a billion dollars to someone with tens of billions? It is chump change – and for chump change, they will destroy you. Unless you take all their money away.

I’m not talking about taxing and redistributing – I’m talking about straight up confiscation. The Ruling Class does it to us all the time via asset forfeiture. Turn about is fair play – their money is forfeit one fine day. We just take it, leaving them with nothing – and then we pass it out to our people in some set increment so that the net wealth of our side increases.

Or, you can adhere to some tired theory which holds that private property includes fortunes of hundreds of billions which are being used to undermine the very basis of normal, human life. Up to you. Pick what you want. I prefer we get rid of those who propose to desrtoy us.

They Want You to Lie

You might have seen the exchange between Senator Hawley and Professor Khiara Bridges. Bridges is absolutely insane. Stupid, too. Someone who knows absolutely nothing but whatever Marxist drivel was shoved into her…and then she was advanced in the legal career because as a POC who could regurgitate the Party Line on command, she was just what Diversity demanded. But there is a very sinister aspect to her – and I’ll be generous and say she, herself, might not understand it. Mindless mouthpieces like the Professor are such because they are mindless, after all. But consciously or not, what she is demanding is that we all become liars.

In the exchange, what the Professor insists upon is that saying only women can get pregnant is transphobic and is violence against transgender people. Think about that – she’s saying that if you state a biological fact (“women get pregnant”) then you are killing people. It is an absurd thing to say. It is insane. But, it is crucial to the Left’s agenda – because sane, tolerant people don’t like to get into confrontations. We like peace and quiet. And, so, faced with someone like Bridges, we start to trim our sails…maybe not all at once going along with it, but carefully editing our own words to cause the least offense possible. But, folks, we’re trying to cause the least offense to people who are insane liars. I don’t think this effort has an upside to it.

The crucial thing for the Left – all the time and on every issue – is to get people to lie. To get them to concede, even if only partially, that the Left’s lie is true. Think about it – when the Floyd issue exploded the Left’s Party Line was that racist cops were hunting down unarmed black men just for the racist heck of it. Not wishing to cause offense, people on the right hemmed and hawed about it – instead of just calling such claim what it is (an insane lie), there was an attempt to not be confrontational. You know how it went, “sure, there are racist cops and there is much racism in America and all of us are saddened by the unjustified death of George Floyd, but…”. And everything after “but” was pointless…because the lie had been agreed to. Maybe not exactly in Leftist terms, but enough of it to make any policy response to the Floyd death in line with Leftist ideology. Had we true courage on our side, we would have said the truth: Floyd died because he was a stupid, high as a kite and passing funny money. Had he not be stupid, high or breaking the law, he’d still be alive. That a cop was involved in his death was pure happenstance – Floyd was going to an early grave, cops or no cops. The example in my mind while this unfolded was my late elder brother: died because of a stupid drug-addict fight at the age of 50…because he was stupid and got high and then got into a fight and so he passed out on asphalt in the summer sun and his brain cooked to death. It could very well have been an interaction with a cop that killed him…but, it was another drug addicted bum who did him in. And it didn’t matter – my brother is dead because he was stupid and high; the particular circumstances of his death are irrelevant.

And I know that seems harsh and perhaps it is – but it isn’t like my brother didn’t have any agency. He had a thousand chances to alter course. He was given aid by family and friends over a many year span of time…all he had to do to live a nice life was stop being stupid and getting high. Lots of people have successfully navigated this and gone on to happy, productive lives. It isn’t a miracle: it is an act. A choice. A decision. Some people never make it and pay the price for their folly. George Floyd and my brother: same/same.

But the Left doesn’t care about that. Didn’t and doesn’t care that Floyd is dead, either. Floyd was just what was necessary for the lie: a black man who died in custody of a white cop. Once that fact was established, all the Left did was tell as story based on the Left’s lie – that racist cops hunt down black people. And it worked – by and large, almost the entire Western Establishment went along with it. But do keep in mind that the Floyd case wasn’t just to advance a false Narrative of racist cops…it was to make it impossible for cops to police our cities and thus allow for an explosion of crime which the Left will then use to advance their biggest goal: the breakdown of American society as “proof” that a free market system governed by people who believe in God doesn’t work. Crime, in the Left’s view, is the result of an unjust system…and by getting the cops out of the equation, they can now proceed to the social destruction which, in their minds, will force people to turn to the Left for a solution.

And it isn’t just one lie – it is a lie about everything. Racist cops, men can get pregnant, illegals are mere migrants, etc, etc, etc…are all designed with the same purpose, to get us to go along with the lies and so make us defenseless as society falls apart…after all, if we’re liars, how do we call out the Left and demand they stop? Can’t: not if you’re a liar, too. But the Left is making it so that just to live in society, you have to lie.

Put the breaks on it – concede nothing. Whatever the Left is saying is a lie. It can’t be other because the Left’s ideology is based on lies. Push back against the lies – this will take some courage and some of us who do so will suffer social and economic pain. But it must be done. The Leftist Emperor has no clothes and if we can merely say that, the Left will lose.

Memo to the Left: Stop Insulting Me

I lost a friend over politics yesterday. Truth be known, it was a long time coming. I had just held back as this person went ever more into the insane leftist ideology. But, yesterday, this person posted a “If you support Trump, you’re a racist” meme and I noted that, hey, this means you’re calling me a racist. The conversation went downhill from there until the “unfriend” button was clicked and that was that.

I don’t care.

You see, I’m tired of being insulted. I do know my Christian duty: to love those who hate me and pray for those who despise me. And, as best I can, I try to live up to that and with God’s grace, I’ll get better at it. But I just can’t stand being insulted any longer – especially as the insults are all damnable lies. I’m not a racist. I’m not a sexist. I’m not a homophobe. I’m not anti-immigrant. I’m not a fascist. I’m not a Nazi. But I’ve been called all of these things, over and over again, for decades. It is past time to call a halt – and the only way I can do that is to vigorously push back whenever someone issues a slander about me.

Of course, the full blown leftist out there will vigorously assert I am all those things but that I don’t realize that I am. And that’s fine: you can believe whatever bullsh** you want – but because you believe something monumentally stupid it does not follow that I have to meekly accept insults. You insult me, and I will call you out on it. Don’t want to be my friend any more? That’s your business. I won’t be insulted. Not any more; I’ve had enough.

The Left Wants to Force Us to be Liars

The story:

Every House Democrat but one has co-sponsored a bill requiring schools to allow male athletes who identify as transgender girls to compete on female sports teams.

Democrats’ Equality Act would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make “sexual orientation and gender identity” protected characteristics under federal anti-discrimination law. Among other things, the bill would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls.

Supporters of the bill are brazenly asserting that experience has shown that male-to-female trans athletes have no inherent advantage over biological females. Think about that: you know that isn’t true. You know, without even looking up the recent news stories of female athletic records being broken by trans athletes, that people making such an assertion are lying to you. But, they go ahead and do it – and they are defying you to call them liars. They feel confident you won’t, because you’ll be afraid of the social ostracism which may result.

It simply defies reason – meaning, it is insane – to hold that men are not physically stronger than women. Sure, you can probably find a completely in shape, well trained female boxer who can kick my a** into next week…but, in the normal run, a woman hitting me will have very little affect save, perhaps, to annoy me a little. And I’m not a big, athletic guy – I’m smaller than average and I don’t work out. I’m not guessing about this: I’ve been hit by a girl my height with all her might (long story)…it didn’t do a darned thing to me. The movies which show a 120 pound woman taking down a 200 pound male bad guy: garbage. You know it. I know it. The people making the movies know it. Men are physically stronger than women by a lot, and there’s an end on it. But, the left is now insisting that we discard what we know to be true. They are demanding, that is, that we agree to be insane – and to lie about it.

And that is the crucial thing here – the lie. It is very, very important to the left that we become habitual liars. A nation of liars has no moral center – and no way to defy the purveyors of lies. Done long enough, a nation of liars becomes incapable of recognizing the truth. This is the last line: if they push us beyond it, we’re done. We’ve already surrendered every other thing to the left (thanks, Tru-Cons!) and if they can get us to lie – especially if they can get us to do it out of cowardly fear – then we’ll never be in a position to take them down.

Matt Margolis: The Banning

So, our Matt is busily writing a new book, The Scandalous Presidency of Barack Obama. I sat this one out – all credit to Matt for being willing to dive into that sewer a second time around. Anyways, the book is to be released on April 3rd and so, naturally, Matt starts to push the book on social media. Turns out, some people at Facebook didn’t like what Matt did:

Bestselling conservative author Matt Margolis has a new book coming out that is already banned on Facebook. Margolis’s first book, The Worst President in History, which detailed the failures of the Obama administration, was an instant hit last fall. Margolis used social media to market his presidential biography to #1 on Amazon. When he tried to market his latest, The Scandalous Presidency of Barack Obama, he was banned from Facebook groups for six days with no explanation.

Slight correction, of course: Worst was Matt’s second book. But, no matter. Matt has received no explanation from Facebook for the banning – my thinking was that some blue-haired, nose-pierced little SJW fascist just decided to be a jerk. But here’s the kicker: the banning made pre-orders of Matt’s book shoot through the roof, while sales of our Worst also skyrocketed for a day.

So, Facebook Fascists, Matt and I would like to offer our thanks for fattening our bank accounts.

CNN: ALL White People are Supremacists

OK, CNN–so we’re all ‘white supremacists’ now, are we?  Yep– according to CNN, all ‘ordinary’ white people share the original sin not just of slavery, but we are just born white supremacists.  We just can’t help it.

Well, then, let’s take a closer look at the concept of ‘white supremacy,’ shall we?
Contrary to the conservative mindset, which is set in the belief that all people are inherently good and capable of self-determination, regardless of race, it has long been the white liberal/progressive mindset that minorities are hapless and incompetent, and would barely have the pleasure of existence save for the oversight of their progressive intellectual betters.

In the mind of the progressive, minorities cannot independently rise above their station in life without progressive policies and the government programs that stem from them. Hell, in the mind of the progressive, minorities can’t even be counted on to be resourceful enough to do something simple, such as to obtain a driver’s license or an identification card to vote (unless a progressive government program were in place to assist them).

In other words, progressive policies have at their very core the premise that minorities are unable to fend for themselves, save for the good graces and ‘caring’ of those on the White Limousine Liberal plantation.

In summary, CNN, let me respond to your assertions by saying that IF there are any ‘natural’ supremacist sentiments and tendencies, it resides not in so-called ‘ordinary people.’ Rather, from Woodrow Wilson, to Margaret Sanger, to William Fulbright, history has demonstrated time and again that white supremacist tendencies lie squarely in the heart of the white limousine liberal progressive.

This latest accusation is nothing more than another stellar example of white liberal projection.

A Hard Left and Into The Ditch

That may be the last sensible thing any elected Democrat ever said. Of course that was a time when sensible Democrats like Evan Bayh, Sam Nunn, and Joe Lieberman were amongst the ranks but those days are gone. Beginning with the election, or as Democrats are fond of saying, the “selection”, of George W Bush the Democrats have been veering left. There was a brief moment in 2001 when the attack on our homeland caused the parties to set aside their differences and focus instead on the growing dangers of the outside world. In fact some of the most impassioned arguments for the Iraq war on the Senate floor came from Democrats Hillary Clinton and Jay Rockefeller. But that unity and that passion would be short lived. As soon as the war became difficult and many Americans became frustrated, the Democrats seized the opportunity and began polarizing the country for political expediency, and that polarization is even more pronounced today.

Over the last decade, the Democratic Party has used every issue possible to divide this country along every societal line; age, race, sex, income, etc. The Democrats have also used every single procedural weapon to push through partisan legislation to the extent of lying on the Senate floor, lying to the American people, and creating and employing the fourth “regulatory” branch of government when Congress opposed them. The Democratic Party has moved so far left over the last decade that their ranks are thinning and their constituencies are dwindling. It’s more than a little embarrassing that the current field of Democrat POTUS candidates are all older, white career politicians, and outside of Julian Castro and Cory Booker, their bench is very weak. By comparison, the GOP is flush with young, talented people including the current field of POTUS candidates but also including folks like Susanna Martinez, Mia Love, Paul Ryan, Raul Labrador, and Trey Gowdy. The Democrats can’t even come close to matching this abundance of young talent. But what is even more perilous for the Democrats is their shrinking base. Their pandering over the last several years has emboldened a few of the more vocal minorities, which is now causing problems for them by continually having to serve more and more of their extreme demands. Just in the last couple of years the Democrats have angered the unions, a bedrock constituency, by appeasing the environmentalists and not approving the Keystone Pipeline. Also, via the fourth branch of government, manufacturing and mining jobs are disappearing and as a consequence so are even more union jobs. I also think that the #blacklivesmatters movement, which is literally taking over the Democratic podium this campaign season, has deeper roots than many want to admit. I think the movement has more to do with the sad plight many black families find themselves in largely as a result of government policies over the last 50 years. Policies of which they have been voting for, and of which were promised to “help” them. These policies have failed them and their community and I think their frustration is being misread to be an anti cop movement, which again is angering the unions. And now, on top of the many failed social and economic justice programs is the open border policies and legalization efforts the Democrats are pushing, which will only serve to flood the already crowded low skilled labor market and drive wages down. Black youth unemployment is over 50% and that will only get worse until we bring new solutions to the table and stop the progressive Democrats from “helping”.

The Democrats have painted themselves into a corner by their zeal for power and control and their incessant pandering to the smallest of grievances over the last several years. According to Real Clear Politics, 63% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and I highly doubt that that those people are hoping this country would be even more polarized and regulated. I think the most obvious example of how far left the Democrats have gone is the fact that the rival candidate to the Democrat front runner is an admitted socialist and not even a member of the party. From abortion, to immigration, to foreign policy, tt is time to define the Democrats positions just as they are, tenuous and extreme.

Democrats Memory Hole Jefferson and Jackson

It started as a bit of a Twitter joke in the wake of the Charleston shooting – if Democrats wanted to get rid of the (Democrat) Confederate battle flag, then they’d better stop having their Jefferson-Jackson dinners because Jefferson and Jackson both owned slaves. Well, nothing is too silly for our Democrats:

Under pressure from the NAACP, the state Democratic Party will scrub the names of the two presidents from its annual fundraising dinner because of their ties to slavery.

Party leaders voted unanimously Wednesday night in Hartford to rename the Jefferson Jackson Bailey dinner in the aftermath of last month’s fatal shooting of nine worshipers at the historic black church in Charleston, S.C.

There is some discussion out there in the left about how to re-name the event, one suggestion being the FDR-JFK dinner.

Our Democrats in 2015 cannot even pretend to honor the United States of America. It is just impossible – there are too many people in America’s past who don’t live up to whatever is the latest notion of the Progressives. The complexities of human life just don’t matter – unless you are a true-blue Progressive on board with 100% of whatever the latest Progressive Twitter hashtag is about, you are out. And if you were born 200 years before Twitter, that is just too darned bad. Trust me on this, flaws will be found in FDR and JFK – heck, the mere fact that they were white males will eventually doom them in the Progressive pantheon. Just wait for an official demand from some Progressive group to have our capital re-named because Washington also owned slaves…and calling it the District of Columbia will also have to go.

The key for us is to just highlight this sort of nonsense. Point it out. Let the LIV know.

Scott Walker? Yeah, Just Like Hitler…

University of Wisconsin sociology Professor Sara Goldrick-Rab claims there are “terrifying” psychological similarities between Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Nazi leader and mass murderer Adolf Hitler.

In a July 1 tweet, Goldrick-Rab said: “My grandfather, a psychologist, just walked me through similarities between Walker and Hitler. There are so many-it’s terrifying.”…

Indeed, it is uncanny how much they are alike – given that Walker, just like Hitler, has worked hard his whole life, got married, has a normal family, doesn’t blame Jews for anything and is dedicated to working within our democratic republican institutions to effect change. How did we all miss the similarities?

The reality is that she’s a college professor with tenure – and Walker just signed a budget which stops tenure from being a life-long guarantee of employment no matter how stupid or lunatic you turn out to be. Naturally, Progressives are outraged by this. If you ever wondered why our institutions of higher education have become a morass of anti-American, anti-Christian and anti-civilization twaddle while also devolving into fascist enclaves where you are guilty until proven innocent, look no further than tenure. Once our Progressives got themselves set up with tenure, they could do as they pleased in higher education…and ending tenure is key to terminating the Progressive domination of higher education.

The hyperbole in the left about Walker stems from the fact that quietly, without fanfare and entirely in line with common sense backed by a majority of the people, he is devastating the left’s sources of power in the United States…which are all, bottom line, based upon getting into government or quasi-government positions and essentially using taxpayer dollars to undermine the United States. The left hates Walker with a white-hot passion because of this…and people who work themselves into such a state make mistakes. This, in and of itself, is a strong endorsement of a Walker candidacy for President – our opponents will do stupid things which will alienate LIVs.

On the other side of it, here’s a positive reason for us to go for Walker – he’s actually destroying the left. I still don’t know if it is a conscious plan which he’s just not telegraphing in advance or whether its just a desire on Walker’s part for common-sense reform. But whatever is making Walker take these actions, the actions are tailor-made to not just beat the left at the polls, but eliminate them from the political equation, in the long run. Some on th right are worried about Walker’s waffling on things like immigration reform and ethanol subsidies – but I’m starting to wonder if Walker just knows how to play the game and, once in office, just does what is right?

Why Progressives and Conservatives Can’t Get Along

Of all the pathologies that the Left engages in, I know that the inability to simply accept reality as it is is one of the things that can drive conservatives nuts faster than anything else. It’s easy to see why: conservative politics are based upon reality and are focused on finding the optimal solution to any given problem, and as such establishing the reality of any given situation is fundamental to the process. Proggy politics are based upon emotion, reality isn’t so important as long as the proposed course of action makes them feel good about themselves. The welfare state is a perfect example of this. To a conservative, it’s a disaster. Generations of institutionalized poverty and soul crushing dependence on government, the destruction of the nuclear family, cycles of poverty that continuously worsen while costing more and more money every year. They rightly demonstrate that reality proves the welfare state an utter failure and want to change it.

To a prog, however, the welfare state is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Crime, poverty, hopelessness, despair and all of the rest of the myriad disasters that come with a modern welfare state….who cares? The welfare state makes them feel good about themselves, and allows them to pat themselves on the back about how “kind” they are, and the best thing is they don’t have to do anything themselves to feel this way! THEY don’t have to meet any icky poor people. THEY aren’t forced to interact with minorities. Let the government do it and observe how benevolent they are, sailing along smugly, secure in their unearned moral superiority.

I was out in California this past weekend and it suddenly occurred to me that the California legislature was recently debating two proposals:

1.  Allow doctor-assisted suicide.

2.  Raise the smoking age from 18 to 21.

So, Progressives are so deeply concerned about your well being that even though you’re an adult who can fight in a war, marry (anyone you like!) and sign contracts, they won’t let you smoke. On the other hand, once you get a little along in years – or have a budget-busting chronic disease – they’ll “help” you into the hereafter.  The Progressive world is a world in which a Nanny watches over your every move – and then kills you when you become too troublesome (oh, sure it’s all voluntary…and there won’t be any chance that family members, doctors and bureaucrats will kinda nudge you in the direction they want you to go…)

Maybe its because I’ve been smoking for 35 years (sorry, liberals – still astonishingly healthy: even with the bacon-double-cheeseburgers and the smoking…and if I do quit then I might be here to annoy you for 4o more years or so…muhahahahaha!…on the other hand, that does mean I might have the depressing duty of writing about the Chelsea Clinton/George P. Bush Presidential contest…), but I don’t care if people smoke. Certainly not anyone 18 or older.  I also don’t want to off people because they are sick or old; I’d rather try to help them. There are things we can do besides kill them, after all. The bottom line is that my world view is 180 degrees out of sync with the Progressive world view…and I believe that goes for all of us on the right. We just don’t see things the same way.

And it does have a bit to do with cold, hard facts – our Progressive friends in the Reality-Based Community do seem to have a problem with facts.  Facts such as policing the smoking of people 18-21 is rather impossible (I think that younger folks are not smoking so much lately is not due to laws against it, but because smoking is just going out of fashion).  Facts such as human nature is unchanging and if you give people a chance to get rid of an inconvenient person, some people will take advantage of it.

There is no real bridging of the gap between left and right. We can’t work across the aisle. I won’t agree to a compromise where the smoking age is raised to 19 years, 6 months and 4 days. I won’t agree to a compromise where we can help the sick commit suicide as long as everyone pinky-swears it is what the sick person wants. Our way out of this is that ultimately facts emerge triumphant – you really can’t keep borrowing money forever. You really can’t have open borders forever. You really can’t sustain an education system which wants “safe spaces” and to stop “micro-aggression”.  It all falls apart – with the good news being that we on the right, who live on facts, will come back on top eventually.
