Lot of violent and/or eliminationist rhetoric these days – almost all from the Left. Which is “as usual”, of course; it has just become so ubiquitous that no one can ignore it. And, I think, the regular folks – those who don’t spend their days in flame wars on social media – are starting to notice; and not liking what they see. No one can actually predict the future, but I’m laying my money on the Democrats increasing political radicalism turning off casual voters who will either stay home or vote GOP come November…and come 2020, unless there is a sea-change in Democrat attitudes. And I don’t expect that change until after a crushing loss in 2020.
I’m a bit serious about that. I was running things through my head and using 270 to Win and I’m expecting Trump to win 37 States with 356 Electoral votes in ’20…and if the Democrats keep the insanity up to 11, it might end up being 42 States and 391 Electoral Votes. Time will tell, of course – lots of things to happen between now and then, but I don’t see a trajectory which has the Democrats backing off and coming up with policies that appeal to people outside the true-blue, Progressive believers.
But, also, there is success for the GOP – things are going pretty well in the country right now. People might be feeling so good by 2020 that they decide they want four more years of it, regardless.

What the left is really objecting to is the fact that conservatives are not rolling over and cowering in the face of virtue signaling and shaming as they had grown accustomed to with the likes of John McCain, Jeff Flake, George Will, etc. The other day I saw Mort Kondracke and Fred Barnes back on Special Report and both of them have morphed into leftists, pure and simple. And those two use to be the “voice for conservatives” back when Britt Hume hosted Special Report, and what a sad thought that was.
Conservatives and traditional Americans are realizing that we never really did have representation in Washington. We had a lot of people lying to us and saying all the right things on the campaign trail and on the Sunday shows, but little did we know, none of them really believed in it. Someone like Mort Kondracke NEVER had any intention of applying conservative principles ….. it’s just too hard and if he did, he may be disinvited from this weekend hot cocktail party.
Ironically, it was a bellicose billionaire and a life long NY Democrat who stepped up to represent the American people and deliver traditional conservatism.
Cluster, what we are seeing is the thin veneer of actual political philosophy peeling away to show the Identity Politics underneath that have driven people like Barnes and Kondracke. They were “conservatives” due to their much-vaunted “principles” or their pet issues but evidently their political philosophy never went as deep as a mere blueprint of how best to govern the nation.
If it did, they could never advocate the Dem party at any time, and particularly now that it has slid off the edge of the cliff into all-out full-tilt radical Leftism. They would actually prefer Hillary/Warren/Biden or any of the other trolls on the Left to what Trump is accomplishing?

So about 60 million people voted for Hillary Clinton, and I would say 1%, or about 600,000 of those voters are quite wealthy and own one or more homes. There are only a reported 2,400 children who were “separated from their parents” and are in need of shelter.

George Will just unwittingly explained why conservative principles were never really fought for by the elite and elected members of the GOP. While he was waxing nostalgic on his friend Charles Krauthammer (RIP), George anguished over the lack of decorum in the “age of Trump”, and longed for the days that pundits and politicians could disagree without being “disagreeable”. And there’s the problem right there.
What George fails to realize is that those disagreements have real life impacts for average Americans, but he is completely detached from that. George’s life never changed. It didn’t matter who won the argument or the legislation …. George’s life was never adversely impacted and he was free to be the “conservatives champion” on all the Sunday talk shows espousing conservative principles only to abandon them completely before the weekend soiree’s.

We are going to have to start prosecuting violence and incitement of violence, and what will happen then is that the violence will be committed by people of color so prosecution can be used to support the “racism” theme.
It will take guts and backbone and dedication to get anything accomplished, and it should start the day after the 2020 election to give us four years to arrest and prosecute and hopefully start jailing people and to explain what we are doing and why.
And it is that last part that will always be beyond the ability or will of the Right.

On The Five on Fox News last night Juan Williams reiterated his (and the Left’s in general) oft-cited claim that illegal aliens are responsible for a lower incidence of crime than American citizens at large. That claim always causes my BS meter to go Bzzzzzzt, but I’ve never researched it. Turns out, it’s not true. I know, I was shocked too.
One thing largely going unnoticed today is that Aunty Maxine proclaimed that “God was on their side”.
Does everyone remember the DNC Convention of 2008 or 2012 (can’t remember), when the convention voted in favor of removing God from the platform? And can we expect Joy Behar to make fun of Aunty Maxine? So many questions.
Well, this whole God thing is pretty confusing to the Left. They invent the lie that the Constitution set up a wall between Church and State and demand that every reference to God or religion be scrubbed from every public space. They tear down crosses on public land, they don’t want relatives of people killed in car crashes to put up crosses at the sites of the accidents, they stridently demand that nothing symbolic of religion be allowed in public. And they demand that individuals be forced to act against their religious principles.
But then, suddenly the Left is spouting distorted Scripture to attack Donald Trump, is claiming to have God on their side as they act in the most unChristian ways possible, is claiming that Jesus would have supported illegal immigration, is claiming that sequestering children from adults in confinement is unChristian, and so on. One of their big screeching points about Trump is that he is not really a Christian, and has not repented for his sins—–most of which we have been told are just fine, nothing wrong with recreational sex in our out of marriage, till they can try to use an allegation of same against Trump.
They clutch their pearls and swoon when an old recording surfaces of Trump using the word p***y, as if this is so foul and disgusting they can barely tolerate the fact it was ever said (as well as lying and claiming he admitted to grabbing a woman there, when in fact he said that when a woman prostitutes herself she can be grabbed there and won’t care) but then within a few months are prancing around in the streets screeching PUSSYPUSSYPUSSY at the tops of their lungs and showing off their genitalia suits identified by that word.
They just can’t keep their stories straight. The only thing that we can count on is that every story will be based on hate and full of lies.

Just about the time you think they can’t come any more unhinged, they do. I hope they keep it up. It may solidify the votes of their rabid, radical base, but it’s going to turn off most in the middle.
Have you noticed the semantic game playing of the Left on this children-at-the-border issue? Now the children are not being separated from people who are either not even their parents or parents but headed to jail while being processed, but are being “put” into “internment camps”.
It’s what the Left does. When they control the dictionary, they control the narrative, so they simply redefine terms to fit their agendas.
What is driving me up the wall is the silence on the Right about the core reason these children have ever been separated from the adults who took them to the border in the first place.
Barack Obama created a policy which told people that if they would just drag a child to the border, it was a pass to get across. This policy is the core problem. He set up a policy to reward people for dragging children, whether their own or some random kid borrowed or bought, across a country or two, in conditions ranging from uncomfortable and stressful to dangerous to downright lethal, to be used as pawns at the border. It is a policy that encouraged child abuse.
As long as this bizarre reward system is in place, people will be taking advantage of it. When you set up a bird feeder, you get birds. Duh.
I would flood radio and TV stations in Central America and hire thousands of people in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, anywhere in Central America, to hold meetings and pass out informational flyers saying the following: Effective immediately:
1. No asylum applications will be accepted anywhere but at a designated Customs office. Period. Show up anywhere else along the border and you will be sent home. Period.
2. Being accompanied by a child will not convey any special treatment or privilege. Parents who bring their children to the border will be required to prove parenthood. They will then be allowed to remain with their children until the family can be sent back.
3. Any child accompanied by a non-custodial adult will be sequestered until his parents can be found, and then he will be returned. If his parents cannot be found, he will be adopted into an American home.
4. Any adult arriving at the border with a child he cannot prove to be his will be held on charges of child trafficking, while the child is sequestered for his own protection, and when he is returned to his place of origin he will have a criminal record which will disqualify him for a future visa or application for entry or asylum.
Shut down the bird feeder.
This can be done in conjunction with the current moves to allow families to be detained together. It should be presented as an effort to protect children, who are now being exposed to danger by adults who want to use them to gain an advantage at the border. A well-crafted speech should be made covering the Unintended Consequences of the Obama policy, which include children being put at risk during the journey to the border, children being trafficked by non-custodial adults want to use them to help them cross the border, and children being dumped on this side of the border like unwanted puppies to become street children or, worse, be taken into sex slavery and human trafficking in the United States.
There should be great emphasis on the fact that the origin of the problem is the Obama doctrine, and if necessary there could be some remorse for failing to correct it sooner as its existence put so many children at risk. We could, if we wanted, say that the policy was well-intended but poorly considered, and that it had had serious and sometimes fatal consequences, as children who were used by adults to take advantage of it suffered stresses and even death during the journey to the border, and tens of thousands were abandoned when they were no longer of use, being forced into lives of misery and abuse.
Such a policy could in place by July 1. Handled deftly it could head off the flood of children being dragged to the border, shut down the bogus asylum applications filed only after illegal border crossings have failed, and best of all toss this steaming sack of you-know-what right back into the laps of the Left, where it belongs, as this whole mess is the end result of Leftist policy-making.

That has always been the case but this particular instance, I think the Dems are doing a good job of hanging themselves, and I think Trump voters and supporters, no longer need a counter point to leftwing lunacy. It’s clear as day anymore. The facade is gone.
I still think it would help to have a voice pointing out the lies and analyzing them.
During election cycles most local TV stations have segments where they examine campaign claims and say if they are true or not. With all the money on the Right it is hard—-no, impossible—-for me to understand why no one has come up with a prime time show that examines what has been said during the week and analyzes it. A True or False show.
It would generate vast amounts of outrage—OUTRAGE!! I tell you! But I think it would pull in a very large viewership as people from both sides of the aisle would be interested in what it has to say. Even just half an hour once a week would help counter the flood of absolute lies.
We just don’t have anyone saying that what we see from adults at the border who have dragged their children though hell so they could use them as pawns in the Obama bird feeder program of “Bring a Kid, Get in Free” program would probably be charged with child abuse if the parents were US citizens. Leave your kid in a hot car, if you’re a US citizen you go to jail. Drag your kid across a desert where hundreds if not thousands have died to use him to enter the US illegally, no problem. Go to jail if you’re a citizen, your kids live with someone else till you get out. Break the law by using your kid as a pawn at the border, you all get to hang out together or even cross into the US together.
Graphics, photos of children’s clothing and diapers scattered across desert lands in Texas and Arizona, any information on bodies of children found in the deserts, are necessary for a public trained to judge based on visuals instead of thought.
But as I said, NOW is the time Trump could do something, and do it by the weekend. NOW is when he could go on prime time TV and point out that the facts of children at the border have been buried in hysteria, and in lies designed to manipulate the emotions of caring people. NOW is when he could say that the real problem goes back to the Obama program which actually rewarded child abuse by encouraging the use of children at the border to gain access to the country, and that his administration inherited this program and has been trying to deal with the inevitable outcome of the border being flooded with children who have been forced to endure hardship and even risk death to accompany adults, some of whom are not even their parents, to be used as pawns at the border. NOW is when he could say that he, and his administration, take full blame for not just ending the program earlier, instead of just trying to deal with the children as they arrive, but they have learned that this is not the answer.
NOW is when he could touch upon the tragedy of children being used as sex slaves after being dumped on the north side of the border by adults who just used them to gain entry into the country, and NOW is when he could explain the efforts to separate children from unrelated adults at the border to save them from a fate like this.
So NOW is when he should say that the US government has chartered very nice Mexican buses which will be used to immediately return all who arrive at the border with their own children. Any adult arriving at the border with a child not his own will be charged with child trafficking and will be jailed and prosecuted, and the child will be put into foster care until its parents can be found.
NO asylum applications will be taken anywhere but at Customs offices, and any received at the border will be sent to the end of the line, behind applications made through any of our consulates in Mexico or our embassy there, meaning they may take months to process——and during this time, if the people have arrived with children proved to be their own they will all be housed together in safe, if not luxurious, accommodations. Any adult claiming asylum at any place other than one of the approved application sites will be put on one of these buses, with his or her children if parentage is proved.
This could all be done in one speech and a couple of Executive Orders, and it would do more to shut down the pipeline of children arriving at the border than anything else. By phrasing it as an effort to halt the abuse of children, as seen by their being exposed to discomfort, hardship and even death just to get to the border, it would offset a lot of the howling from the mob.
Some final sanity from the Supreme Court on the travel ban. What Trump said on the campaign trail about wanting to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. had no bearing on the case since it was not in the text of the final document. Imagine that.
And from the YCMTSU file, Justice Sotamayor, in her dissent, said the travel ban fails to protect religious liberty. When was the Left EVER concerned about religious liberty?

Did everyone see the segment on Tucker Carlson last night about Tommy Robinson in the UK? He had a Brit reporter on who said that political correctness and deference to Islam is destroying the UK. NO ONE in the UK, particularly journalists are defending Tommy for him reporting the truth on Islam’s negative influence in the UK. In fact, she said, any criticism of Islam will get you ostracized and ridiculed for being a far right extremist. Ironically, isn’t Islam as far right as you can go? An oppressive theocracy I think would be antithetical to the socialist liberals in Europe, but politics does make for strange bedfellows. Nevertheless, Europe is almost lost.
I think the strange relationship between the Left and Islam is more of an enemy of my enemy is my friend thing. I don’t think it’s going to end well.
MSNBC is glorifying the new socialist Latina who beat Joe Crowley in the NY primary. She was on the show this morning and her positions are what Bernie campaigned on – free healthcare, free college, and federal employment for everyone who can’t find a real job, and the panel on Morning Joe were all giddy and propping her up as the new vision and the new face of the Democrat Party.
I am not sure what makes Democrats and the media think that far left authoritarian positions will win the day come November, but God Bless them for destroying their own chances.
Another shocking (where’s that sarcasm font when you need it) revelation about the young woman who beat Crowley — she wants to eliminate border and customs enforcement. The mask continues to come off. It only remains to be seen how many Americans like what they see underneath. If the Left believes Trump is an authoritarian, wait till they see what their side has to offer if they regain power.
Considering the fact that any examination of Islam shows that while the political structure of Leftism—absolute control from a Central Authority and rigid intolerance of any deviation from its dogma—has a lot in common with Islam, the social aspects promoted by the Left are so antithetical to Islam that Leftists would be the first targets of Islamic purging. Licentiousness, homosexuality, gender fluidity, women prancing around dressed as their own genitals, all of these would rapidly be eliminated, most often through violence.
But you are right—-for the time being, the Left sees Islam as another distraction for the Right and another lever to use to divide Americans on emotional grounds, as well as a means to herd frightened people toward a more powerful and authoritarian central government after terrorist attacks.
