Could we lose in November? Of course we can: and, indeed, the polls say it is already a done deal. But, I want to bring up this:

Right after Trump’s Tulsa rally the family of the late Tom Petty issued a statement asking Team Trump to not use Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down”. They made this statement because they are virtue-signalling dipsticks. Like all artists, Petty’s product is actually in the care of various people who license its use and as long as the check clears, they don’t care who uses it. The Petty family didn’t say they wouldn’t accept payment: they just put out a statement telling all their liberal friends that they hate the Bad Orange Man.

To this statement from the Petty family, I tweeted out this:

Lighten up. Most of Tom Petty’s fans are my age or older and most of us are voting Trump.

Which is, of course, true. And I do like some of Petty’s music – mostly his later stuff as his early stuff was kinda dull and trite.

As of this moment, the tweet has 1,120 likes: an astonishing number for an account with less than 3,400 followers. But the real story is in the 199 comments: also an astonishing number. But the main thing about the comments is, by my estimate, 95% of them are bot comments. That is, comments from accounts with less than 100 followers and all of them pretty much saying two different comments with slightly different wording. So, what happened was that someone decided that my comment was worth paying people to comment negatively about, in fear that people might get the impression that old Tom Petty fans might vote for Trump.

It is all an op: all that you see in the MSM and on social media is a DNC-inspired and paid-for (directly or through third party cut-outs) program designed to keep the Democrat based fired up with hate (lest they start actually listening to Trump and see what he’s doing) and to depress you and me with the conviction that we’re the powerless minority. My advice: don’t believe a word of it. Maybe we will lose: maybe we’ve lost the country and the American people are deciding on a socialist and politically correct future of poverty and oppression. Hey, if that’s what they want, that’s what they’ll get, good and hard. But let’s not help them usher in that horrid future by getting down in the dumps. There is a chance, after all, that we’re the majority…we’ll find out for sure on November 3rd and until then, I work from the assumption that the majority of Americans aren’t falling for this drivel.

A lot of people went hair-on-fire about Shaun King’s insistence that “White Jesus” be destroyed. And there is a reason to be a bit upset: not because Talcum X (have you ever seen a whiter black guy than Shaun?). He’s just seeking attention and clicks…but because there is an ever more overt strain of anti-Christian propaganda and actions emanating from the Left. I feel for the Left Catholics who were so sure their support for SSM and women priests would save them…they’re going to find out that people who tear down a statue of Grant go on to tear down a statue of St Junipero and that is in preparation for putting Catholics in front of a firing squad. The Left is the Left is the Left: and their primary war was, is and always will be against God.

Seattle’s CHAZ/CHOP “Summer of Love” became the garbage dump haven for murder and sexual assault every last person on Earth who isn’t a Leftist knew it would become…and now the mayor wants to wind it down. Can she? Meaning: will the cops she stabbed in the back risk their careers to clear out the people her cowardice installed? She may eventually have to make a phone call to Trump…

A brief bit on just how different Islam and Christianity are. Spoiler: a lot.

There’s a move afoot to cancel Jimmy Kimmel over his “racially charged” actions in the past: ie, he made jokes which were acceptable at the time but the Party has now decreed that we have always been at war with Eastasia and so everyone must conform in the past to this reality. Most people on the right are now fully in favor of this while the Never Trump dweebs still put out their circa-2003 articles saying “that’s not who we are.” But it is who we are, now: we want these people punished for having done nothing wrong because it is how we’ve been treated…and this is the only way we’ll get future Jimmy Kimmel’s to stand with us against cancel culture.

NASCAR Noose: I figured it was a fraud from the start. There is that very tiny chance that an actual racist would risk jail time to make a completely pointless gesture…but there is a much higher chance that someone trying to stir the racial pot for personal advantage would do it. And as time goes on, we’re starting to see it shape up as another fraud. But, make no mistake about it: NASCAR will never treat it as if it were a fraud. Prove it was a fraud and they’ll still take actions as if it happened. Because NASCAR is just another corporation and they are afraid of being thought of as “those people”…you know, their fans who fill the stands and give them money. Don’t want to be like them…can you imagine what your liberal friends would say?

Well, I would prefer NOT TO LOSE, but there are millions like me (hopefully most of them younger) who will, without hesitation, lay down their lives to preserve the greatest experiment in self government in human history. I don’t believe the Left has similar numbers who will risk their lives to destroy it.

“A republic, if you can keep it.”

“”You can vote your way into socialism but you have to shoot your way out”

      Don’t think I can give up just yet on this great experiment we call the US of A. but as a further “quote” from a T-shirt I saw (and want);

“I can explain it to you but I can not understand it for you.”

I would still like to take some of Amazona’s entries and put them into a pamphlet of sort to leave with the Thrift Store I donate a lot of stuff to — just to get them to possibly see what the Democrats and the government has done to them in the name of them.

I mean, after the New Deal and the Great Society including all of the sub-programs–we should all be billionaires, floating on clouds watching Unicorns prance while farting Rainbows. Just saying.

Thanks for the kind words, db.

Back in the world of Silly Degenerates To Plain Old Stupid: Governor of Rhode Island Issues Order to Change the State’s Name Because the original name was “The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations”. Now we evidently have a new Word That Must Not Be Uttered—-the P word. (Guess I’ll have to redo my window treatments, now that I know plantation shutters are racist.)

I think the new name should be Woke Island

THANK GOD this issue has been resolved. It was haunting me. We should be grateful that we live in a world where a U.S, Attorney and the FBI rush to “investigate” a fat string tied to a garage door.

U.S. Attorney Jay Town and FBI Special Agent in Charge Johnnie Sharp Jr. said an investigation determined “although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.”

Maybe now the “noose” can go back to just being a loop, and life can go on. And the sobbing, sniveling, “I Can’t Breathe” Wallace can rummage around in his drawers (you know the ones I mean) and find a remnant of manhood.

Why would he want the hood of a man when the hood of a victim earns him so much media fluffing and petting?

      • Amazona June 25, 2020 / 8:11 am

At least he wasn’t prancing around waving his arms in the air squealing “Hands up, don’t shoot” before getting into his Black Lives Matter race car to go out and earn capitalist money while promoting Marxist ideals of violent overthrow of the nation.

In other words, both victim and hypocrite.

“….I would say that the activists or the thinkers or the philosophers who are behind the movement, that they have been very clever, very wise because they have hid themselves behind causes like black people, Black Lives Matter.

Black Lives Matter is an organization, but it’s also a slogan. And most Americans, if not all Americans, agree that black lives matter in the same way that white lives matter. And so they have used that to hide behind.

I think that the consequence we see right now is that the people who would normally enforce law and order, they’re reluctant to do it because they don’t want to be seen as someone who’s not supportive of legitimate grievances that black people or poor people may have.

And so just the naming of the movement and calling it social justice has led to ineffectiveness from governmental agencies…”

    https://www.dailysignal.com/2020/06/25/problematic-women-what-we-stand-to-lose-if-the-mob-rules

Exactly. For how many years now have I been talking about the brilliance of the Left in its control of semantics and messaging? Maybe 20?

And now we have Microsoft, Amazon, Petsmart, even Chick-Fil-A, one major company after another, openly praising and even financing a movement created to advance the agenda of violent overthrow of our government, because it has so effectively created the illusion of really being about racial equality and racial justice.

It’s not just shameful, it’s terrifying.

A different movement could possibly be created which is about racial justice without the “destroy America” aspect, and with adequate messaging might bleed off some of this fawning virtue signaling groveling for approval, but it would require everything the Right lacks—–coordination, focus, understanding of communication and control of at least part of the media.

So we will just have to sit back and watch the engines of the American economy pay to have it torn down around them.

Business Owners Within CHOP File Class Action Suit Against City of Seattle

It’s about time. These radical Leftist politicians have had no accountability as they work to undermine and eventually overturn our government. Law enforcement has no authority over them and brainwashed sheeple elect them only because they are not Republicans, obediently submitting to the propaganda of the Left.

But these people ARE accountable to the public through the judicial system. While the suit is against the city and not the mayor perhaps some conservative somewhere can connect the dots for Seattle residents and point out the cost to the city of electing a Democrat mayor and city government—not only the costs directly due to the riots because of property damage, not only the lost revenue as businesses and individuals leave the city for safer and saner places, but the actual dollar cost of defending such a righteous lawsuit and the likely settlement involved.

A reading assignment for everyone here (yeah Lefties, that includes you).

Bob Woodson is on Glenn Beck’s radio show as I write this, making more sense and providing facts and figures about the status of blacks in the U.S. back before “civil rights” and “The Great Society, which essentially destroyed the black family as a societal unit.

Not surprising that many of the radical Left want to replace the Star Spangled Banner with This Land is Your Land

    • Amazona June 27, 2020 / 4:59 pm

This kind of pandering, groveling virtue signaling is bad enough on its own merits, or lack of merits, but it was this pathetic inability to understand the song that ticked me off:

The club specifically cited the third stanza in the lyrics of “The Star-Spangled Banner” as a driving force behind the decision.

“No refuge can save the hireling and slave/From terror of flight or gloom of the grave…”

The club said those words in the nation anthem do not align with the values of the team.

I wonder if this moron is aware that he just told us that celebrating the creation of a nation that—finally—offered hope and refuge for that hireling and that slave just doesn’t “align with the values of the team”. Guess he thought they should just remain in their “…terror of flight or gloom of the grave…”

It is so true—you just can’t fix stupid. However, it would be nice if someone would let some of the poor kids this doofus is influencing know how ignorant he is.

You’re aware that according to John Bolton, the president begged Chinese President Xi Jinping to help him win the 2020 U.S. election, right?

      • Amazona June 27, 2020 / 4:47 pm

You’re aware that John Bolton has so thoroughly beclowned himself with his surly temper tantrums that only he and a few equally delusional Trump haters think anything he has to say is worth listening to, right?

You’re aware of the total insanity of thinking that dumping a lethal virus on the United States to disrupt the best economy it has enjoyed for decades and give the howling drooling Left something new to howl and drool over is the kind of thing a nation’s leader would do to help Trump get reelected, right?

    • Amazona June 27, 2020 / 5:04 pm

Nothing new here—The Vatican was also paid to ignore the Nazi war on Jews. Many of the Nazis who escaped to other countries at the end of the war did so with the help of highly placed Catholic officials.

I’m a Catholic, and will never buy into the bigotry that says the Church itself is corrupt. But it is made up of human beings, all of whom are susceptible to corruption, and this is just another example. I happen to believe that just as our laws hold people in positions of trust to a higher standard and impose greater penalties when that trust is broken, so will Judgment Day do the same with church officials who have violated the trust put in them.

I don’t give much weight to anything John Bolton says these days. Considering that Trump has been a thorn in Xi’s side in relation to tariffs and fair trade practices, I have sincere doubts Trump asked Xi for any favors or that Xi would be inclined to grant any.

    • bunkerboy15 June 27, 2020 / 2:19 pm

If Trump has been such a thorn in Xi’s side, why did he beg Xi to increase China’s purchases of American agriculture, which Xi agreed to do? Why did Trump approve of Xi’s creation of concentration camps in China, saying it was the right thing to do? (When are concentration camps ever the right thing to do?) I think the record shows that Trump is actually weak when it comes to his relationships with foreign autocrats.

      • Amazona June 27, 2020 / 4:26 pm

John Bolton is in the midst of a massive temper tantrum. He thought he was important and when he was ignored and then fired he started his nonstop meltdown. His rummaging around for something—-anything—negative to say about Trump only impresses Trump haters. The more he is ignored the nastier he gets. It’s kind of embarrassing, watching him demean himself like this. I was a huge Bolton fan and now I just cringe every time he wags that mustache with another whine about Trump.

Example of Trump hatred: Claiming that promoting American agriculture abroad and encouraging foreign purchases of American ag products was “begging”. It’s negotiation, a concept unknown to the Dependent Class and pajama boys.

When are concentration camps ever the right thing to do? Ask Bernie’s staff. At least one of them earnestly fretted about gulags having a bad rap when sometimes they are necessary to reeducate people, like Republicans. I can’t think of any concentration camps in history, at least in the last 100 years or so, developed and run by any but the Left, but you just go ahead and regurgitate some nonsense about a conservative being in favor of them because John-Boy Bolton said so.

      • jdge1 June 27, 2020 / 8:00 pm

Do you realize that before Trump renegotiated trade agreements with China there was a significant trade imbalance that favored China? That was a large part of why there were talks and implementation of the recent multi billion dollar tariffs. With such a trade imbalance China’s GDP was growing much faster than it would have without the purchase power of the USA. China however restricted US products from entering China’s markets. One of the effects of such a trade imbalance is reduced employment of US citizens. It was thru Trumps efforts that China was forced to bring a level of fairness to reciprocal trade and NOT Trump begging for anything from China. Trump showed a great understanding that China needed us far more than we needed it and played a rather short game of chicken and won when leftist politicians were fretting about how much damage Trump was going to cause. Trump has a far better understanding of world economics than he is giving credit for from the left, and uses that knowledge to the significant benefit of the USA. Relationships with foreigners are only valuable when BOTH sides benefit. Up until Trump stepped into the office of the President, the only thing many of those foreigners wanted was whatever benefited their country, and “respect” was one sided, if even necessary. Those are relationships we can do without.

Do you realize that President Trump was told months ago that Russia is paying a bounty to the Taliban for the killing of American soldiers, and yet Trump does nothing? Well, except for extolling the virtues of Putin and inviting Russia to the G7.

      • Amazona June 28, 2020 / 11:12 pm

See? Give the boy a chance and all he does is reach back into his tightie whities for a nugget to throw. “Extolling the virtues of Putin…”

When George W. Bush was being aggressive to our enemies the whining, howling and outrage were deafening—-HASN’T HE EVER HEARD OF DIPLOMACY WE NEED DIPLOMACY IF ONLY WE HAD A DIPLOMAT IN OFFICE IF ONLY WE HAD SOMEONE WHO COULD TALK TO LEADERS blah blah blah.

Now those same screechers are howling that Trump talks to too many leaders and is too diplomatic.

That’s why no one pays attention to you and people like you and possibly why your feeble “contributions” to this blog sometimes end up where they belong, which I assume is a digital trash can.

Do you ever bring anything of substance to the table or simply prefer to aimlessly flail all over the place?

      • bunkerboy15 June 27, 2020 / 11:38 pm

Actually, I think the fact that the president has sat on this information for months while extolling the virtues of Putin is a serious issue of great substance, and goes to the point that Trump is weak when it comes to dealing with autocrats. And I’m not the only one. You are probably aware that this has been all over the news for the last 24 hours. It’s not like I’m nitpicking here.

      • Amazona June 28, 2020 / 11:20 pm

“Extolling the virtues of Putin” again? You are so pathetic. But at least you seem to be sticking to the script.

There is so much mental excrement “all over the news” that is there only to appeal to people like you, but that’s all it is. And the stink carries over when you track it into places like this. Go ahead and wallow in this kind of garbage, but don’t whine because no one else will join you.

Actually, given your dutiful following of a script, you may have set a new record for being identified as a troll.

      • bunkerboy15 June 27, 2020 / 11:39 pm

And you can choose to dismiss Bolton if you wish, but he was there. You and I were not. And much of what he says has been corroborated by others.

      • Amazona June 28, 2020 / 11:27 pm

Thank you so much for permission to ignore Bolton. Trump took a lot of heat when he named Bolton, because Bolton was so despised in the beltway. When John got fired, for being the same hard-headed arrogant wannabe boss man that had earned him the enmity of so many, he immediately scurried to the only element left to him—radical Never-Trumpers—–and it was a match made in heaven. Though they all despise each other, they have a common enemy in the man who has upset the elite apple cart, and now they can huddle together and commiserate with each other about how Trump just hasn’t shown them the respect they are so sure they deserve.

      • jdge1 June 28, 2020 / 7:41 am

What I see is that you constantly attempt to throw zingers sighting various topics (once your previously mentioned topics have been shown to lack substance) with the intent to harm politicians on the right, in this case Trump, that adds little or no real value or substance.

For example, your statement ” Do you realize that President Trump was told months ago that Russia is paying a bounty to the Taliban for the killing of American soldiers, and yet Trump does nothing?” is simply a worthless attempt to slam President Trump. It is well known that communist Russia has for a time well before Trump was ever in office, worked to undermine the US in any way they deem valuable, including taking out US soldiers. Anyone who understands Russia & communism and is not brain dead already knows this. This is NOT new or news. As to how Trump deals with Russia, I highly doubt you have ANY real inside knowledge about what actions Trump and his administration have already taken or is considering for the future.

As for Bolton, I think any intelligent mind can readily see he is nothing more than an angry petulant child throwing a tantrum, who was scolded and dismissed. You say, ”… but he was there. You and I were not. And much of what he says has been corroborated by others.” Actually, I’ve read a number of comments from other cabinet members who were “also there”, that finds much of Bolton’s statements decidedly dishonest. But you’re welcome to put your (temporary) trust in him, until he says or does something that doesn’t fit your narrative.
