Usually after a jury trial we all tend to rest content with the verdict even if we think it might not have covered all issues involved – but in the Chauvin trial, I think everyone is pretty certain that the Jury felt massive pressure to convict. Did it play a role? It will be impossible to ever know. But we all suspect it, and that’s bad – because the ultimate foundation of our liberty is trial by jury. That if we’re ever accused of a crime that we can go in front of 12 of our fellow citizens and tell our side. Now, we’re all not so sure – if someone for political reasons wants us convicted, will political pressure be brought to bear? This is very much end of the Republic stuff and at the deepest level. If we can’t repair this damage, we will break up into our tribes and count on brute force for protection.

The hard core Marxists on the other side understand precisely what they’re doing – trying to overthrow the entire system so that a Marxist system can replace it. But I suspect that most on the Left don’t fully understand where they’re heading. That if they win, then shortly after we’re all destroyed, they’ll be destroyed. History, after all, is White Supremacist and so it isn’t taught.

A Norfolk, VA cop was doxxed and then fired after it was found that he had donated $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense fund. As I’ve been saying, this is the most crucial part of Leftist power: the power to control our jobs. That this cop actually got fired was just a bonus for the Left…what they really wanted everyone to know is that they can find out what you do in your private life and expose it. Every cop in America now will think twice before making any political donations. Some of them will start donating to the Left to take on protective coloring. We must cure this – long ago I said that a law must be passed prohibiting the firing of a person for actions taken outside the workplace but now I go even further: there must be severe penalties assessed to anyone who posts personal information on line without the subject’s permission.

Texas opened up and nothing bad happened. The more we see Texas and Florida in contrast to New York and California the more convinced I am that the masks and lockdowns made things worse. That there is something in this virus which makes it easy to catch when you’re inside most of the time. Furthermore, we know that the panic around the China flu was generated initially by Chinese bots on social media…I’m starting to suspect that this virus was never all that bad except in very narrow circumstances (such as we saw in Wuhan, itself, and in northern Italy) and that we were suckered into the lockdown by a Chinese op.

Trump is firing up the fundraising. Prepping for 2024? Or just building for 2022? Time will tell.

Only 12 States remain as “duty to retreat” States. The rest are “stand your ground“. This is very important because the Left has decreed that you must surrender your property to the robber. This is based on Marxist theory that the only reason there is crime is the unjust distribution of wealth caused by Capitalism – if you have more than someone else, it is stolen goods. So, Lenin’s dictate of “loot the looters”. The more “stand your ground” laws we get, the better.

A couple thoughts about the trial. I figured Chauvin would be convicted on the manslaughter charge but I was kinda surprised he was convicted on the two murder charges. I was also surprised that Chauvin didn’t testify. If there was ever a trial when the jury needed to hear what was in the mind of the accused, it was this one. Unless, of course, he purposely knelt on Floyd’s neck until he stopped breathing, and then a couple minutes more just for good measure, in which case the verdict was just.

    • Amazona April 21, 2021 / 4:41 pm

I think Tucker Carlson summed up the verdict(s): “Please don’t hurt us”. I would probably have voted the same way, at least unless I had a moving van already at my house all loaded up, with an undisclosed destination for me and my family.

That’s what it’s like under mob rule. As long as we keep electing Democrats we’d better get used to it.

  2. Cluster April 21, 2021 / 7:40 pm

Democrats and the media have proven now that they can create and control the narrative, and weaponize their militant groups to intimidate and destroy all to achieve their desired outcomes. Mob rule now governs this country. And conservatives sit silent. Oh I shouldn’t say completely silent because there will of course be the “outrage” expressed on Fox News, and the denunciation of “civil unrest” by elected GOP critters, but at the end of the day, they will all cower and shrink from the intimidation, or be bought out.

The fact is, George Floyd is a hell of a lot more responsible for his own death then Derek Chauvin will ever be, but that fact will never stop the ignorant. There were lots of 9 minute intervals in Floyd’s life and at each interval he could have decided to not be a convicted felon, to not be a woman abuser, to not be a drug addict, and to not resist arrest, but he made none of those choices, choosing instead to put himself and those around him in danger. Will any media member mention these facts? Hell no. Instead, Democrats made this drug addicted, woman beating, convicted felon their symbol for “justice”. Orwellian doesn’t even begin to describe it.

And don’t think their blood lust will be satisfied by destroying Chauvin’s life. This is just the beginning. I guess my hope is they eventually succeed in defunding the police, because maybe then we could just take them out with impunity.

Tucker Carlson hosted a gentleman named Glen Elmer (sic) on his new Today show and Glen asked the following question to conservatives, a question of which I too want to ask ….

What are we conserving? There is not much left in this country worth conserving. The nuclear family is almost non existent, the Deep State bureaucracies are completely partisan, the media is total propaganda, our elected officials are on the take and corrupt, Big tech censors and controls speech, the “vaccine” will restrict peoples movements, and we are on the brink of a race war. So again, what exactly are we wanting to conserve?

It’s probably time to wipe the slate clean and start over.

    • Retired Spook April 22, 2021 / 10:16 am

It’s probably time to wipe the slate clean and start over.

Be careful what you wish for, my friend.

    • Amazona April 22, 2021 / 10:43 am

How would you “wipe the slate clean” and how would you “start over”?

It’s one thing to list a bunch of grievances, but it’s just a waste of time unless the discussion goes on to identify what elements allowed those grievances to take root and flourish, and to determine which of those root causes can be interrupted and/or destroyed.

There is analysis and then there is just plain griping.

      • Retired Spook April 22, 2021 / 11:37 am

Our adversaries are already talking about “the great reset,” which involves them wiping us off the slate, so the argument is not “is it going to happen,” but rather how will it unfold, and who will win?” I still refuse to accept that the bad guys win.

      • Amazona April 22, 2021 / 12:28 pm

The bad guys have certainly gained ground, but I’m not ready to say they are winning.

What I see is the facade of a major victory over traditional American values and systems, but one perched precariously on a fragile foundation, one which can be eroded and undermined very quickly. The one area I think is going to be hardest to deal with is the success the Left is having in generating racial discord, though when you look at it, it is only black-against-white discord. The only people who care about race are black people……and the Dem puppetmasters getting them to dance to the Leftist tune.

Maybe patriots should do a thing where, when BL* and A****A are gathered in the streets to loot and burn, patriots could do a thing called ‘Operation Ring of Fire’

      • Amazona April 22, 2021 / 8:48 pm

I have to admit, I am more than a little tired of the fretting about how to avoid hurting or even upsetting anarchists and rioters.

But you sound like you are talking about a circular firing squad. Might want to rethink that “Ring” part of it.

      • Jeremiah April 22, 2021 / 8:55 pm

Well, it would have to be in such a fashion that there is no being on the receiving end of friendly fire. I just think that would cure the looting and burning. The rioting and destroying property.

      • Jeremiah April 22, 2021 / 8:58 pm

Because they are not satisfied with being equal or equal rights, anything like that. No, they want to dominate the country, and there is not rationalizing or reasoning with people like that.

      • Amazona April 24, 2021 / 1:14 pm

Supposedly 80 million people said they wanted Joe Biden to be president. Setting aside the absurdity of this it is still true that millions of people did vote for him. So pick a number—60 million?

Just to use that number, how many of these 60 million people do you think have sat down and thought it through and concluded “I want a one party system that dominates the country and strips anyone with an opposing position of his or her rights”? How many do you think have an understanding of the true ideology of the Left and knowingly support it?

Right. When we stop to think about it, we realize that though millions of people may cast votes that put a certain party and its ideology in power most of those people are truly ignorant of that ideology.

So let’s stop acting as if the top tier of Leftist politics, the level that HAS an ideology, represents the bulk of the demographic that, for reasons that really have little or nothing to do with this ideology, still provide the support it needs to gain and keep power. The problem with doing this is that it demands actual thought, and analysis of why these people voted the way they did if they do not, in fact, share the core radical agenda of total dominance and control.

My theory is that the true leaders of the movement are anonymous to most of us, hiding behind the screen and directing the actors who provide the public faces that we do recognize. Those faces are people like Schumer, Pelosi, Cortez, the race hustlers like Waters and Sharpton, and so on. They include the talking heads of the Agenda Media. And there is another faction, also controlled by the powers behind the curtain, powers that recruit and organize, pay and arm and transport, the violent thugs who incite and instigate violence. I’ll even add the internet trolls to this mix, the hate spewers who get off on spouting vile invective and wallowing in blind hatred of an Invented Other.

I suggest that all of these people together constitute no more than maybe, at the very most, 2 to 5 percent of the Dem voting block. The rest are mere sheeple, people who are led by emotion, who are easily manipulated into blind hatred or at least distrust, and/or who truly want to be good people acting to help other people but who have been convinced that Leftist policies represent the best way to accomplish this. I fail to see how blustering, threatening, talking about “taking out with impunity” and establishing modified circular firing squads can possibly help shift the perceptions of these people. On the contrary, this kind of talk merely reinforces their positions and shores up their Us vs Them fortress mentality. Retroactively defining this kind of rhetoric as “sarcasm” is silly and ineffective at changing the impression it makes.

When I talk about trying to shift the perceptions of the opposition through exposure to truth and facts, through encouragement to actually examine their positions objectively, I run into a lot of howling about YOU CAN’T TALK TO THESE PEOPLE !!!!!!!! IT WON’T WORK!!!! to which I say, of course it wouldn’t work if we tried to talk to that tier of radicalism. They are impervious. Some are dedicated to domination and imposition of their will on others, some (like the Agenda people) are just either pathologically stupid or pathologically hate-driven or both but are equally inaccessible to reason. So don’t try. Put them in a category of the irredeemable, put them on a shelf and ignore them.

Ditto for the race issue. It is now in the hands of the race pimps and the media and we can’t do a thing about it, so we need to just work around it.

But that leaves millions and millions of people who are not necessarily evil or malignant in intent or even very malicious, but who are emotion-driven, which translates into issue-driven. And they have been indoctrinated with the conviction that those who do not share their beliefs in how to address important issues do not think the issues are important, a distinction that is essential to the Divide and Conquer strategy of the Left. The thing is, this is also the weakest element of the Leftist strategy, because it only takes focused messaging to convey the message that the conflict is not one of “is this issue important” but of “what is the best way to address this issue”.

I’m all on board with alternative media as a means of trying to reach out to the masses, and show them the error in subscribing to a Leftist dominated world. I’m all in favor of trying to educate the ill-informed, and trying to swing the pendulum back towards a populous that believes in smaller government and self sufficiency.

Unfortunately, there’s a catch…we don’t live in a perfect world, and most people living in this age are closed minded. They are not open to the idea of less regulation, they are not open to hearing and accepting that individual liberty can only be made a reality through a more conservative, less intrusive form of government.

I just a study not long ago, I read that the generation now outnumbers the elderly generations, and we know where that younger generation got their education, unlike the older generation who got their education from hard work, who believed in Male and female in marriage, and loved one another and they didn’t want the government meddling in their affairs.

Today, people want the government to give them everything, yet they own nothing. Half the families in this country don’t love each other, because they been taught they have to change with every change in the wind direction. People are so confused. They don’t want hear the name of Jesus. You mention God and that could mean anything to anyone, but when you mention Jesus that changes people’s perceptions entirely, and they take great offense at the name above every name.

Fixing this country is not going to be easy I know that. I also know that creating a bloody war is not a Christ-like thing to consider, and not something that one goes will-nilly into.

The only problem is, we’re not going to do it by trying to persuade people whether radical leftists or non-radical leftists by simply explaining facts and truth to them.

I don’t know how it’s to be done without conflict. I just hate to see people lay down and not care the direction their country is heading, while the powers that be start preparing the busses, the gas chambers and the incinerators for them.

It’s sad, but as they say, “those who forget the past are doomed to repeat” and that’s where we’re headed very soon.

      • Amazona April 24, 2021 / 6:38 pm

It’s very strange for me to agree with the basic analyses of you and Cluster about the problems facing this county and still have a very different perspective of the possibility, and even the likelihood, of reversing much of it.

I also think I have a much longer and deeper understanding of history, particularly of the history of the Left, having studied it in detail for nearly three decades and tracking its always-repeated patterns as it undermines societies to gain power.

The Left gains and holds power by controlling the narrative, and I seldom if ever see outrage and fretting about inevitable conflict stepping back and saying “Hey, maybe I ought to channel some of this fury into developing better communication skills and methods”. That just doesn’t have the visceral appeal of stroking a gun barrel and fantasizing about a violent confrontation. But that’s what it is going to take, and what’s more, I firmly believe that a sudden eruption of a powerful media presence skillfully presenting essential information through the same pathways the Left has been using—-entertainment, news and discourse—will turn the tide much much faster than the pessimists think possible.

I only wish there were more people in this country concerned about my health. I had no idea they cared this much. Take your shot and wear your masks and we will all be safe !!! How neat is that?

On another note, please stop taking me so literally lol. The triggered reactions are what I would expect to see from hyper emotional WOKE Leftists. Sarcasm and venting are why blogs exist … remember we’re not actually solving any problems here.

    • Retired Spook April 23, 2021 / 10:26 am

Just for the record — I don’t take you seriously, heh.

I share your frustration, however, knowing that there are millions of people who want to destroy the greatest experiment in self-government and individual liberty ever devised.

      hyper emotional WOKE Leftists

On another note, please stop taking responses so literally lol. The triggered reaction of ad hominem insults like “hyper emotional WOKE Leftists” doesn’t show much of an understanding or appreciation of sarcasm. As for “venting” if said venting includes commentary on violence it is a good idea to identify it as intended sarcasm, especially if it really stretches the definition. Let’s face it, the claim that “I was just being SARCASATIC” is a favorite fallback position for people who got caught saying really stupid things—-not that I am referring to anyone here, jes’ sayin’.

I also disagree with your take on “why blogs exist”. Maybe some blogs exist just as dumping grounds for emotional overload, but some try to present venues for exchange of ideas and yes, even, possible solutions. Maybe Twitter is a better option if mere “venting” is the goal.

I don’t usually copy and paste an entire article but this is too good to try to pick the best part:

There would be no political censorship by Big Tech.
The media would all convey truth instead of agitprop.

Black Americans would realize that the Democrat Party has been abusing and exploiting them continuously since the days of slavery.
The Democrats would admit that “Trump-Russia collusion” was a hoax.
Barack and Michelle Obama would admit that they are racists.
The Lincoln Project would admit that they are not Republicans.
George Soros would be in jail.
The globalists would give away all their money rather than hoard it. (Just how many billions does one person need?)

Native American reservations would never have been established.
Hollywood would be producing patriotic movies.
The Ten Commandments would never have been pulled from public schools.
Clapper, Comey, and Brennan would be in jail.
Donald Trump would still be in the Oval Office (with no election fraud).
Abortion would still be illegal except for extreme cases.
Andrew Cuomo would have been removed from office long ago.
No Hollywood star would ever be heard from again testifying before Congress on something about which they know nothing.
Al Gore and Greta Thunberg et al. would be outed as charlatans.
Barack Obama would produce his original birth certificate.
Lebron James would never again receive another endorsement contract.
Nancy Pelosi would have been voted out of office years ago.
The wall on the southern US border would have been completed decades ago.
John Kerry would be in his 45th year of making little ones out of big ones at Leavenworth. (I like that number.)

All federal forms would be English-only.
The US dollar would be backed by gold, just as it was for most of the country’s existence.
All federal funding would be pulled from sanctuary cities and states.
All federal laws would apply equally to members of Congress and the Executive Branch without exception.
Free speech would be restored in all colleges and universities, with severe penalties for encroachment on political speech in particular.
Science would confirm once and for all time that there are only two sexes: male and female.
LTC Alexander Vindman would have been court-martialed in 2019.
All of Obama’s records would be unsealed.
Any public school pushing Project 1619, critical race theory, and other cultural Marxist curricula would lose federal and state funding.
Planned Parenthood would never again receive another taxpayer dollar.
McCain-Feingold would be repealed and all “nonprofit” organizations except for churches and charities would lose their tax-exempt status.
The Federal Reserve would undergo a complete and independent audit.
Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 would be repealed, and all social media companies would be regulated like public utilities.
Federal agencies would be downsized, decentralized, and relocated outside of the District of Columbia.
No more voice votes would be allowed in Congress – only rollcall votes in order for citizens to learn how their representatives vote on all matters.
All federal agencies would return exclusively to merit-based promotions. (“Affirmative action” rules would be repealed.)
Unions would be precluded from any political activities other than for collective bargaining.
Revisions to libel laws would make it easier to sue media for demonstrably false and inflammatory “news” articles.
All Marxist terminology would be removed from all federal laws, documents, instructions, and other written materials promulgated by federal agencies.
Federal funding would be pulled from any city or state that does not enforce local public safety and private property protection laws with a nationwide goal to eliminate violent riots by arresting and prosecuting all perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.
Those military members who openly support Black Lives Matter would be court-martialed for violating their sworn oaths to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

    If only…….
