The DOJ has finally decided, four years later, that the attack on GOP Congresspeople which resulted in the wounding of Scalise was an act of domestic terrorism. Ace, though, points out that there are two things here:

  1. The DOJ carefully classifies things to ensure the lowest possible number of Leftist and Islamist terrorist attacks. Gotta keep that White Supremacist number looking good, right?
  2. The DOJ is probably getting ready to broaden the definition of terrorism to include you and me.

We’re heading towards the end game here: the time when we’ll either win and restore liberty, or lose and be destroyed.

Some people are saying they won’t give up masks even after being vaccinated. Then why the heck get vaccinated? I’ve seen threads on Social Media and it becomes clearer to me that some people simply don’t know what a vaccine does. The real problem here is that they get to vote.

I did not know we had a secret, undercover Army, nor that it is about 60,000 strong.

I’ve long had a bad taste in my mouth about Special Forces and I’ve despised the whole concept of espionage my whole life. The logic behind it is insane – because we have to engage in global skullduggery, we need our people to lie about who they are to keep their identities secret. And you just know they’re being used against American citizens. But, outside 4th Amendment concerns, the real problem is having secret agents and secret soldiers. The Law of War says that when you capture secret soldiers, you can pretty much shoot them out of hand. The Nazis we captured dressed up in American uniforms during the Battle of the Bulge were up against a wall about a week after being caught. That is what you do with people who sneak.

I know our Special Forces guys are brave and almost all are solid patriots – the man who recruited me into the Navy was a Seal and he was one of the wisest and nicest men I’ve ever met. But, end all this: no more spies, no more secret soldiers. When we fight, we come right at you and let you know it was us. As for gaining intelligence: when has that ever really helped us? Our intel agencies have routinely failed to get us vital, actionable intelligence. Dispense with all of them. Send the Special Forces back to the regular units. Train the regular units up to Special Forces standards. Call an end to secret government garbage. We’re a Republic; we do our business in the Forum, not the Divan.

Warrantless gun confiscation is illegal, per the Supreme Court. This is a real victory for liberty. And now the SC is picking up an abortion case and we’ll see if they can strike a blow for State’s rights.

I agree and want to remind everyone of two things; restoration of individual liberty has never been achieved through persuasion and/or legislation, and that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice.

Our government and media (redundancy alert) also acknowledged two other things yesterday which they completely manufactured for political gain –

    1. The Steele Dossier was a lie.

    https://trendingpolitics.com/huge-new-york-times-finally-admits-that-steele-dossier-was-a-lie-and-false-crugg/

    2. Covid death numbers have been greatly exaggerated.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/05/boom-cdc-director-finally-admits-covid-cases-hugely-counted-just-gateway-pundit-donald-trump-reported-august/

We are headed for a bad outcome in this country only because the Democrats and the Left will not stop. They have proven that. They have destroyed infrastructure, business’s, police precincts, and inner cities, they cheat and steal elections, they censor speech, they secure themselves behind barbed wire and fencing (yes that’s still going on in DC) and they investigate and imprison political opponents yet when someone on the right actually acknowledges this reality and hints at confrontation, too many conservatives get weak in the knees and feign offense at the slightest hint of retribution. I don’t understand this line of thinking at all. That’s a position of weakness and submission.

We are watching the dismantling of America which started in 2009 under Obama and is currently being accelerated now. Trump was an aberration that caught them by surprise and there was no way in hell that they were going to allow Trump two terms or looking at that in another light … there was no way the ruling establishment class was going to allow ordinary Americans to run their own country.

So I say this to week kneed conservatives … how bad the outcome will be is solely dependent on how the Democrats and the Left reacts. If they value their fascist ideology more than our Constitutional rights and freedoms, then there will be huge problems. That is my hope anyway as I pray that the desire to be free men and women has not left the hearts of Americans and that they are still prepared to fight for that way of life.

Love the knee-jerk hostile reaction that anyone who isn’t chomping at the bit for confrontation and “cleansing” is, as you have put it over several weeks, “weak-kneed” or just another Liberal or some other such snarling insult.
Well, I don’t really “love” this kind of posturing as the only rational approach with everyone who doesn’t agree just being weak and spineless and clueless, etc. but I do recognize it.

What jumps out in all this blustering and name calling and so on is the actual superficiality of this position. It’s easy to skim along on the surface, reacting with great emotional violence to what one sees, but in reality there is a lot going on that is less readily apparent. Of course, it lacks the visceral thrill of physical confrontation and even violence. Its main advantage is that it offers the illusion of being really deeply involved and committed, without having to actually do any of the heavy lifting, like getting involved in local politics and helping build the foundational structures of our government that make it harder for the elites to prevail. All that is just so boring, when stroking a gun barrel and fantasizing about a big dramatic confrontation meets so many more, and deeper, emotional needs.

As for pompous lectures on the reality of the Left, I have been talking about this for, literally, decades. Right here on this blog. So I for one am not impressed by someone coming late to the party and then ‘splaining things. One thing I find lacking in all this lecturing is understanding of the structures of Leftism that have allowed it to develop as much as it has in this country. The Left did not just pop up in this country and find a large following. Its roots are deep and mounted in emotion and ignorance, and killing a bunch of people who have no idea what they believe or why but who are just blindly sucked into the slipstream of an emotionally appealing movement is not going to be effective at dealing with the real problem, which is why this appeal is so effective and how to change that.

But some people seem to think it sure would feel good.

So, great. There is probably a place, or might be a place in the future, for the urban Rambo wannbes who think they would like to be the pointy end of the spear, though in my opinion most of them are Walter Mitty types who would fold at the sight of real blood or a gun being pointed at them.

I see you took that personally, no surprise, but the comment about weak kneed conservatives include a lot of people … even some of my family and friends so it’s not always about you Amazona. And it’s hardly a “knee-jerk hostile reaction” but the fact that you consider it to be says a lot.

Let’s just agree to disagree and dispense with the condescension.

      • Amazona May 18, 2021 / 1:15 pm

No, I didn’t take it personally as being about ME, but about serious committed involved active focused conservatives you don’t respect because they have a different perspective of how to address problems than you do.

As for dispensing with condescension, you go first.

That is a really good article, but it stops where I think we need to begin:

From Antifa to BLM (whose leader apparently identifies with the mass murderer Chairman Mao) to the willfully blind talking heads of left-wing cable TV, no one is as intolerant as the ”woke” folks. They break all domestic records in that regard.

        Time to stop tolerating them.

While the article is accurate and insightful and so on, it is also just more recognition of what so many of us already know. When are we going to stop describing the problem and start working on solutions?

How DO we “stop tolerating them”?

Let’s start with the obvious fact that I have a different perspective than most of you guys. I had a different perspective when I started hollering about the tactics of the Left and how successful their strategies can be, and now these same observations are commonplace. A lot of people are catching up to the reality of Leftism and its game plans and propagandas. I also have a different perspective of how to approach the problem.

Perhaps it will help, or at least explain a little, to remind you that I am a convert to Conservatism. As I have said, I was a Liberal. I was what I call “an Unexamined Liberal” meaning I was pretty adamant about being a Lib but didn’t have the slightest idea why. And I was a good person, wanting good things and believing in morality. So I tend to see a large segment of the current Liberal population as being much the same as I was.

We can get all uppity and judgmental and sneer that there is no excuse for being ignorant, for being misled, for not knowing the facts. But we all start off from the foundation of what we are taught, whether we are talking about politics or religion or cultural norms, and it takes a big jolt to nudge us into directions different from those which form our very identity.

So I am not on board with the idea of dismissing all Liberals, much less of purging them from our society or “cleansing” America of them. I believe that the real answer—not for ALL Liberals but for enough to swing the pendulum of American politics in a different direction—is to provide information that contradicts the accepted narratives that make them Liberal in the first place.

We get frustrated when Liberals reject our efforts to tell them how wrong they are. Well, DUH! How well does that approach EVER work?

My path out of darkness was one of gradual realization that (1) I couldn’t explain, not even to myself, just what it was that I believed that made me a Liberal. I could describe it, but I couldn’t explain it. And (2) neither could anyone else. But I had to be asked to explain my position. In my case I wasn’t asked directly, but through surrogates.

I hate listening to music when I am driving, especially in a city, so when I got a job that meant lots of city driving I started listening to talk radio—particularly a show hosted by a man named Mike Rosen, in Denver. And I hated him. I thought he was mean. But he was pretty much all I had, so I listened, And he would present a conservative point of view, which I naturally thought was BS, and then a Lib would call in to tell him so. I would turn up the radio, sometimes even pull over so I could pay closer attention, because I really wanted/NEEDED someone to explain to me why I thought what I thought. Or, to be more accurate, why I believed what I believed.

What I learned was that even the most ardent Liberal, even the one most motivated to call a radio show and engage the host, really could not explain a flipping thing about what he believed or why. Mike would ask a question, and the Lib would respond not with an answer but with another question. Mike would say “No, my show, my rules. I ask a question, you answer, and THEN you get to ask one of your own.” And the Libs, inevitably, when pinned down, got stalled on actual explanations of their own ideas, beliefs and convictions. They simply could not explain them coherently, much less justify them. All they could do was get mad, frantically try to shift the discourse by responding to questions with questions, and try to get the conversation moved into areas of personality.

After some time of this, and I truly don’t remember how much time because it was a gradual shift, I realized that if I was going to be on a side, I wanted it to be the side that knew what it believed and why and could explain it, not the side that just tossed out platitudes and insults and vague statements and then couldn’t back any of it up.

Then I got on this blog, because I wanted to find a place where ideas were discussed. That was back in the Blog For Bush years, and I am sure Spook will remember the knock-down drag-out verbal wars with Libs here. It was back then that I finally said to one: “We are going in circles here because we are talking about emotion-based things. Why don’t we start with basics. What is your core political philosophy? You tell me yours, I’ll tell you mine, and then we can talk about things that don’t have an emotional foundation.” And he couldn’t. And for 20 years or so, only one Lib ever could, and he was a hard-core Marxist. And I had to start doing research so I could know what I was talking about.

This ignorance, this total dependence on some vague sense of how something should be but lacking any substance of rational thought, is the weakness of the masses who now support the Left. And we let it continue without challenging it. Our opposition is dug into trenches of obdurate conviction because of emotional attachment to ISSUES and we try, impotently and ineffectively, to go to war with them by challenging those issues. It is a very stupid and counterproductive strategy.

As long as we see these misguided people as enemies, as worthless, as deserving of nothing but elimination or, at best, humiliating defeat, we can never find enough common ground to actually communicate. As long as we have the conviction that we have to batter their strong emotional ties to their issues, humiliate them and make them admit defeat, we will never gain any ground.

That is why I insist that (1) a significant number of Legacy Democrats and even more Independents are basically good people who are simply mired in the quicksand of emotion-based convictions including the conviction that anyone who wants to help them escape this swamp is an enemy with malignant motives, and (2) that offering facts without forcing them to submit to us will make it possible for many of them to shift their positions.

I chose to expose myself to a situation in which Liberals were given the opportunity to expose the fragility and superficiality of their convictions along with the immediate comparison of convictions which could be explained, could be justified and which made sense. That allowed me to gradually move toward the Right.

That is why I constantly harp on the essential need to provide a similar kind of experience through the development of a strong media platform which exposes people, in many ways (though entertainment, discussions, objective news stories and 60-Minute kinds of shows) to a political movement which makes sense.

And that is why I constantly harp on the need to engage in non-threatening, non-judgmental discourse in very small bites, such as asking the simple question “Do you think it’s a good idea to consolidate power in the hands of a few?” If you want to know how to start the shift from Liberal to Conservative, try asking someone who’s been through the process.

Oh and PLEASE stop calling these government shots a “vaccine”. It is NOT a vaccine. It’s a flu shot and not even FDA approved. Many members of the NY Yankees who had taken the shots are now reinfected with Covid as is Bill Maher and “science” would tell us that this would be impossible with an actual “vaccine”, right? That is of course if “science” is still non subjective … unfortunately Democrats and the Left have obliterated actual science. When biology no longer matters, what in the hell does?

    YCMTSU

Some group has started knitting little fake peepees for confused little girls to pin to their underpants so they can pretend to be little boys.

Bitty Bug® soft packer is a custom prosthetic packer in youth sizes, made from soft durable yarn and polyester filling. It is easy to wear pinned to underclothes or tucked in a packing pouch, and can be felt by the wearer without being visible externally (shown in a pair of undies to demonstrate).

Acknowledging the role of fantasy in transgenderism, this also comes in different lengths, so the delusional child can extend that delusion to imaginary sizes. Go big or go home, I guess, even if you are a little girl with Daddy issues.

I don’t think these people should stop here. For example, it seems that a Bitty Bug®, with only a small alteration (amputation) could become a Bitty Horn®, to be worn on the forehead by children who identify as unicorns.

stitchbugstudio should not let itself be limited in its dreams, having already decided to not be restricted by reality.

More on the “baseless allegations of voter fraud” front”

Wisconsin. The state legislature’s Joint Legislative Audit Committee has officially announced their own “ballot count verification process” despite zero support from elected Democrats:

Democrats voted against the measure unanimously, warning that an audit will erode trust in the system.

Here again we find the claim that verifying fraud so it can be eliminated will somehow “erode trust in the system”—-a system that is already well known to be defective and untrustworthy. Going back to my well-thumbed copy of “How To Decipher Leftist Doublespeak” I see that this really means the Dems are warning that an audit will erode their ability to convince some people they are running honest elections.

  5. Retired Spook May 22, 2021 / 11:44 am

Looks like Georgia is going to follow Arizona’s lead, in a more limited way. They’re still not looking at it in terms of the law.

The audit cannot change the results of the 2020 presidential election in Fulton County because they were certified months ago.

However, “plaintiffs say an examination of ballots would get to the bottom of what they see as suspicious activity at State Farm Arena on election night and pave the way for more accurate elections in the future,” the Journal-Constitution reported.

The audit may not change the results of the election, but they can sure as hell prosecute those who perpetrated the fraud as well as those who certified the fraudulent results. And just as in Arizona, the Dems are raising a hissy fit about the process. Methinks you doth protest too much.

I’ve never heard of John Cooper or the Christian Rock band Skillet, but he does an excellent job of describing how Critical Race Theory works.

Cooper explained that progressives alter the language and definitions of words, such as “anti-racism.”

“What kind of Christian isn’t against racism? I mean, that would be a very strange thing to not be against racism,” the Skillet lead singer said. “But I need to know what you mean when you say [you oppose racism] so that I know what I am marching for or what I am standing up for … Can we have a definition of terms? That would be really nice.”

“They were going along with the terminology without understanding what they were going into, and now I think that’s becoming very clear,” Cooper said of the woke language. “We’re having a bit of a church split because a lot of people really believe one way and a lot of people believe another way. I think we’re seeing a civil war in the American church – over social justice.”

“Critical race theory has become this bogeyman term and some people get really mad when you bring [it] up,” he continued. “So, let’s not say what critical race theory is. Let me just say what it does … CRT is responsible for a new Christian book … that is a book of prayers, including a prayer that says ‘God please help me to hate white people.'”

“A conclusion of CRT is that … majority-white churches that don’t have black leadership are racist,” Cooper said, explaining the complexities of critical race theory, and the hypocrisy of the ideology. “But if they do have black leadership, they may be racist because they’re tokenizing blacks. But if they have a black man that they believe is gifted, and they want to send him to a Bible college – after that man gets done with Bible college, if he comes back to the white-majority church and the white-majority church keeps him for their own, then they could be guilty of racism for holding talent in the white community and not sending it out to the black community. But if that black man comes back afterwards, and they send him back to the black community, it’s proof of racism because they don’t want to be under black leadership.”

CRT is one of the most circular ideologies I’ve ever encountered. No matter what you do or say, you’re wrong — unless, of course, you’re a Progressive.
