Been busy writing!

Shadow Army is now ready for pre-order on Kindle. The paperback will release June 15th. Around December 15th, Book 5 will come out – Kings and Queen, which completes the two-book set with Shadow Army. And then, in 2022, two more will come out, Book 6 and 7 which will complete the entire series.

I’ve been thinking about the slogan “black lives matter” and it works out to an egregious insult: it is a claim that black lives never mattered until a drug addict resisted arrest. Ain’t having it: black lives have always mattered.

They’re now admitting what Trump said at the start: Covid came out of the lab. Now there are two questions to answer:

  1. Was it a manufactured virus?
  2. Did the Chinese deliberately spread it around once it got out to ensure the whole world took the hit?

The government of the People’s Republic of China is a stain on the world and the enemy of human decency. We should break all trade relations and forbid travel between our countries.

Creepy Joe Biden remains creepy.

Senile Joe Biden also remains senile.

If you want to get good, solid, down the middle political analysis, you’re going to have to go on Twitter and follow Varad Mehta. I don’t always agree with him, but everything he says is worth listening to and you’ll always come away knowing more than you did before.

OK, time to put on my tinfoil hat for a minute. Keep in mind that my mindset is much the same as that of the War College—that is, when an idea pops up explore it instead of just dismissing it, because the exercise of delving into possibilities is good for the mind.

So when I read about the Twelvethers, those radicals whose belief system is based on the conviction that when the 12th Iman returns then Islam will rule the world, and that this cannot happen until chaos sweeps the world and blood runs in the streets, I started to think about how these radicals might come up with a scheme they thought would not only bring about the return of the 12th Imam but make them theological heroes in Islam. At this time there was also some investigation into bioweapons, including forms of smallpox and anthrax that were extremely contagious, with very short incubation periods and massively high death rates.

It occurred to me that if a movement not only did not care about killing many of its own but might even find this helpful to accomplishing the primary goal, then the easiest way to do this would be simple and cheap—-send a few volunteers to major cities around the world and at the same time in each city have them infect themselves with the deadly pathogen and then start flying out of international airports, spreading their disease through airports and then taking flights known to be major connecting flights to other major cities throughout the world. Within 24 hours or so, until they got so sick they were identified and isolated, they would have created a worldwide spider web of infection, a geometric progression of death that would sweep the world, infecting not only those who traveled but everyone they came in contact with after the fact. Few populations would be immune, and with a fatality rate of 98%, which was what was predicted for weaponized smallpox, only a tiny percentage of humanity would survive, and that would be mostly isolated and probably primitive outposts.

Admittedly, this was a grim and gruesome exercise in “what if?” but I am sure it has occurred to a lot of people whose job it is to think about things like this.

So when this pandemic got started, and there was talk about it coming from a lab in China, my first thought (which has continued ) was that this could very easily be a permutation of this kind of warfare. The laboratory explanation lent itself to the scenario of developing a vaccine to protect desired populations while crippling others, and leaving the infrastructure of the conquered nations intact.

We already know Russia has hacked into the computer systems that control most of our electrical grids—they have admitted this, and admitted to tinkering with them and creating scattered failures and brownouts to test their abilities. When we think of the damage that would be done to this nation, starting the tens of millions of deaths due to loss of electricity over a few weeks, we can see the vulnerability of societies like ours.

Then when a mysterious virus suddenly swept across the world which originated in a laboratory in China, one which did not target a specific bodily function like most viruses but seemed to have the ability to inflict damage on multiple systems in the body, it was not a huge leap to wonder if this had a more sinister meaning than a simple spread of a natural disease.

What are the observations about masks, now that they are optional? For months now I have wondered, as I have moved among crowds of meek sheep dutifully masked up, how many were masked because it was the easiest way to be able to shop or do almost anything and how many were True Believers. Now that masks are optional, we can tell.

I have noticed a certain defiance among maskers now, a chin-thrusting defensiveness, which I think is funny. If you believe in the mask, then just go with it. But there seems to be an attitude of confrontation about masking that has only grown since our masters have deigned to allow us a small measure of liberty and so many are taking advantage of it. It’s really a “My mind is made up so don’t try to confuse me with the facts and I am way too smart to fall for this Fake Science because I have picked my Science Team and that’s not it and you’re all terrible stupid people and I’m way smarter and more moral than you are” kind of attitude. It’s evidently very hard to give up the Higher Moral Ground just because it’s been proved to be an anthill built on hysteria.

One thing I have noticed is how many are wearing them outside. I think the funniest example is in a photo I saw this morning. I just got back from Florida, after a scouting expedition to see if I really want to trade my Denver (aka East Portland) house for someplace where I won’t need to take my snow shovel with me. (Answer: yes yes a thousand times yes.) I spent the morning of the day I flew back on a short fishing charter, which only reinforced my growing conviction that I would like to spend my winters there, so this morning I was checking out Florida fishing info online and saw a photo of a young man standing on a boat, holding up the fish he had just caught, and he was masked to the eyeballs. It was one of the funniest things I ever saw.

    Memorial Day 2021 In Perspective

Sadly, Memorial Day 2021 finds America under the pall of an enemy that in many ways exceeds the threat posed by all others. For this enemy lurks from within. It wages its war insidiously against the souls of the people, cowing many into capitulation, and blinding others to its real nature, so they remain immobile until it is to late for them to oppose it.

The bayonets, cannons, battleships, tanks and bombers of former wars were easily recognizable as obvious arms of a monster that meant us ultimate harm. But the lies and moral poison currently being wielded against America by the political left, while not always as immediately apparent, are no less a mortal threat if they prevail. And their venom permeates so many offices and institutions of our Nation that their overall effect is potentially far greater than that of any foreign military force.

It is time for heroes to arise from amongst us once again. Rarely if ever throughout history have wars been fought as any sort of “repeat” of previous engagements. As tactics and military capabilities advanced, so did the battle plans and strategies of the fight. That fact is no different now, when the “field of battle” is one of information over lies, and a steadfast allegiance to reality over the lunacy of leftist ideology. Failing to recognize this truth would be akin to marching against an F-22 Fighter jet with a cap and ball musket.

    • Cluster May 31, 2021 / 4:14 pm

Truth. The battle for freedom and independence will have to be waged once again.

……………… the “field of battle” is one of information over lies, and a steadfast allegiance to reality over the lunacy of leftist ideology.

For the time being, but I will mention that the cities of Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Chicago are suffering through more than just lies and misinformation.

      • Retired Spook June 1, 2021 / 11:06 am

It’s just a few rebellious kids letting off steam. According to one of our trolls last summer, it was only a few square blocks and no big deal, and I’m sure they wouldn’t have lied to us. The cops social workers in those cities can handle it.

      • Cluster June 1, 2021 / 11:28 am

Some areas of those cities may never recover. I hear 5th Ave in Manhattan is decimated and I was recently at Pacific Beach in San Diego (use to be one of my favorite areas) and it’s a shell of what it use to be.

It’s called living the dystopian life. Fun times!

I will mention that the cities of Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Chicago are suffering through more than just lies and misinformation.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. So what is YOUR solution? That is, who you gonna shoot to fix it?

Why are you focusing on the criminals who are doing this damage? What we need to do is to focus on the officials who have let it happen, and to change that we need to change the mindset of those who elect them, decisions which are made due to lies and misinformation.

OK, and also due to stupidity. We can’t overlook what might be the most significant factor in the choices made by the electorate.

But seeing whole formerly vibrant streets destroyed, community attractions destroyed, businesses destroyed, people out of work, feces piling up on the streets and so on might just knock a hole or two in the arrogant smugness of those whose electoral choices led to these circumstances.

How long did it take a change in government to turn NYC back into a great city? And how long did it take another change to put it back into its current death spiral?

    • Cluster June 1, 2021 / 3:18 pm

That is, who you gonna shoot to fix it?

      Wow, you are an hysteric.

      • Amazona June 1, 2021 / 4:56 pm

Hmmm—the person advocating for calm, sane and ordered approaches to problems is the “hysteric” yet the one howling that SOMETHING MUST BE DONE !!!! and hinting at violence is not. It’s almost like Leftspeak.

But if I am so far off base, why don’t you explain what think would be the best approach to the violence in the streets, the anarchy and the destruction of parts of our cities?

And see if you can do it without name-calling, just for a nice change.

    • Amazona June 1, 2021 / 1:59 pm

I love this idea. It’s fresh and surprising, it would accomplish what the author wants it to accomplish (Lib meltdowns, Pelosi freaking out, etc as well as getting a lot done) and it’s a lateral move the Dems simply could not deal with.

    • Retired Spook June 1, 2021 / 6:07 pm

I think it’s a fantastic idea, and what’s more, something that Trump would do. The ultimate blow to the Left, though, would not be for Trump to run for President in 2024. It would be for him to assume the Presidency (Speaker of the House is 2nd in the line of succession) when Biden and Harris are both impeached.

      • Amazona June 1, 2021 / 6:36 pm

I didn’t even think about that. And he’d get to run for another full term.

        As you say, Good Times……………

      • Retired Spook June 1, 2021 / 6:52 pm

Good times unless you’re a conservative living in a sh*thole major metro area run by Democrats. That would suck.

      • Amazona June 2, 2021 / 9:16 am

Sometimes we just leave. I am selling the house I lived in with my husband in Denver, in spite of its long-term emotional meaning to me, because Denver has become East Portland under the governance of a series of Democrat mayors. They nudged the city toward overt Leftism, but it took the election of radical Leftist Jarod Polis as governor to push it over the cliff and into freefall.

Here’s a sober reminder for y’all … just a few short years ago, Hong Kong was a vibrant free market economy with an abundance of personal freedoms. Today?

But it won’t happen here in America right?

    • Amazona June 1, 2021 / 4:58 pm

But it won’t happen here in America right ?

If you don’t think a change in government will stop our death spiral, if you don’t think the pendulum is swinging back toward sanity or even CAN do so, then why don’t you tell us what you think America should do to prevent our decline into a Western Hong Kong?

  5. Retired Spook June 1, 2021 / 7:39 pm

We frequently note how Democrat control has destroyed many big cities, but a lot has to do with the caliber of the person they elect as Mayor.

    • Amazona June 2, 2021 / 9:11 am

How many people were shot for rioting, looting and arson after Daley issued his orders? I’m guessing—zero. None.

And remember, Daley was a Democrat. But that was back in the olden times when Democrats and Republicans had pretty much the same goals for our country, they just had different ideas of how to achieve them.

In those days, Dems still stole elections—-Daley was notorious for delivering Illinois to Kennedy in the 1960 election—but they still understood economics. When Kennedy was criticized for his tax cuts he famously explained “a rising tide raises all boats”. He challenged Americans to “think not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. And the Democrat Party of those days soundly rejected the very concept of socialism.

In half a century the Democrat Party has adopted the word “socialism” into its agenda, come to stand for disrespect of our flag and anthem and by extension the country itself, has come to represent hatred for America and distortion of its founding principles and history so it can be vilified, and retained only the name while discarding the principles that made it a legitimate political party.
