A lot of journalists are pretending to be shocked (shocked, I tell you!) that the New York Times has now confirmed the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop. It is all so ridiculous – but, they’re gonna go with that. “What? I had no idea! They said it was Russian disinformation!”. Its ok to tell the story now because, well, 2020 is long over.
But as one guy I know pointed out – if the laptop is valid (and it is) then Joe Biden is compromised…lots of foreign powers have sufficient dirt on Biden’s son to pretty much force Pudding Brain to do what they want. And this goes a long way towards explaining things like the US easing sanctions on Russia so they can build a $10 billion nuclear plant for Iran. You know, Russia: the ultimate Bad Guy right now? That Russia.
China and Russia have worked out a deal to denominate their trade in yuan rather than dollars. This does put at risk the status of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. This is a watershed moment, folks: the final end of the post-WWII system.
Do keep in mind that the US dollar became the world’s currency because after WWII it was still at least partially backed with gold, the US was economically dominant and you could rely on the American government not confiscating your dollar-denominated assets at will. Here in 2022, the dollar is backed by nothing, the US is not economically dominant and we just demonstrated vis a vis Russia that we’ll confiscate assets (and civil asset forfeiture has been leading us this way for a while). Given all this, unless you have to trade in the USA, what purpose does a dollar have? There is a non-zero chance that the US dollar goes rather Weimar here.

The Ukraine war grinds on – I was disgusted yesterday at Congressional GOP hawkishness on the issue. And, also, I don’t get it: the GOP base is entirely unwilling to go to war over Ukraine. We don’t like Putin. We favor Ukraine…but we don’t want to fight. But there was the GOP yesterday acting like it was 2001 again. It is just stupid: and the whole Ukraine issue merely provides cover for Democrat failure. Leave it alone. Let the Democrats talk tough about it.

I often wonder sometimes, we do we even vote, ya know? Voting hasn’t been working out all that great in recent years.
The GOP is afraid to go to war because the poor excuse that Putin will use a nuclear weapon. That while genocide is unfolding before our eyes.
One of our veterans went there recently, and he wasn’t there three days and turned around and came back, said he “was afraid I was on a suicide mission.” That’s understandable, because the food supply has been cut off, missiles hitting distribution warehouses and all.
Ukraine needs help to knock those Russian jets out of the sky, because that’s mainly what they’ve resorted to, so they weaken Ukraine to the point of surrender. But Ukraine isn’t giving up, those people have courage, and President Zelenskyy I have a lot of admiration for him to show courage under such withering attacks.
As for our government I’m of the opinion that they are just as culpable and guilty as Putin is for allowing him to get away with this. They have blood on their hands. Sanctions and saying that you condemn Putin is okay, but doing it in the strongest possible terms would be better. We don’t have to their battle for them, but we could fight alongside of them, to let them know that “hey, we have your six”.

I’m not so sure. A lot of what’s on the laptop is in the public domain, and no one seems to care. How exactly does that leave Biden open to blackmail by anyone?
I suspect there is more that we don’t know. Like maybe a receipt for “funds received” for the Big Guy??

I was just getting ready to post nearly the same thing and then thought “I ought to go see what Spook is saying:…” And it’s much the same thing.
Why, exactly, should Pudding Brain care what anyone says about him? You can’t blackmail someone by threatening to reveal something about him when he can point to what is claimed to be 80 million people who wanted him to be president in spite of a half century of failure, a proven history of lying, a documented history of not just general corruption but of using his power as Vice President to enrich himself, and so on.
If you have no shame, you can’t be shamed. And the American public said, in so many words, “We don’t care what you do or say, as long as you aren’t Trump”.
I for one am an “anti war” Trump supporter primarily because we don’t fight wars to win anymore. Our current military leaders are a joke and let’s be honest this invasion is partially a result of our weakness and stupidity for needlessly increasing tensions which leads me to believe this is exactly what the worlds elite wanted. The battlefields in Ukraine are just ATM machines for the Military Industrial Complexes, ratings boosters for the media, and power grabbers for politicians. No one honestly gives a damn about Ukraine; the Bidens extorted it and the Clintons raped it, and now Putin is destroying it and it’s all a wonderful distraction from the weaponized virus.
Meanwhile, I live less than 200 miles from the most dangerous country in the world where people are killed and lethal drugs, sex slaves, and children are trafficked everyday and not one politician or media member has given one second of consideration of improving my situation. Yeah so F**K Ukraine. And you’re right Mark, the medias obsession with Ukraine is simply their attempt to distract everyone from their lies and failures, and the millions of mindless sheeple in this country blindly follow along.
Also if you haven’t noticed, their are new suggestions of more lockdowns and mask mandates in the near future because of well you know …. super scary COVID!!!!
