Feeling better! Covid does take it out of you. But, now I’m down to a cough and some general tiredness – sense of taste and smell is back.
That said…
The Democrat insanity on abortion has been on display all week and I think for many people it is their first real look at how Democrats – or at least their fanatic base – views the matter: they actually held a useless vote in the Senate to write Roe on steroids into law…it failed but their plan was to federally fund it on demand to the moment of birth with no conscience exemptions for medical providers. Thing would have been ripped to shreds at the Supreme Court had it passed. But that they even tried this useless thing – on a platform that, at best, has about 20% support – shows how insane they are about it. They’ve spent 50 years defending a Court ruling which, even if you’re pro-choice, is clearly unconstitutional and just horribly immoral…even liberal countries like France only allow abortion up to 14 weeks…and then only after two medical consults.
Meanwhile, China Joe and the Democrats continue to sink in the polls…and we’re starting to see that in primary voting, GOP enthusiasm is massively outpacing Democrat. We could be on the run up to a very large GOP victory.
Not that the GOP won’t do their best to blow it. I get people being sympathetic to Ukraine and disliking Putin’s Russia. I understand a desire to help them out – but for the majority of House GOPers to vote in favor of $40 billion no-strings-attached to Ukraine is just stupid. We know huge amounts of it will be siphoned off in graft. Meanwhile, here at home we’ve got an invasion at the southern border and our supply chains are so jacked up that in some areas there are shortages of baby formula.
Our domestic problems are large enough. And our foreign problems are China and drug cartels…even Islamist extremism simply isn’t worth our while to concentrate on at the moment. We have to get our house in order…not send billions to a Ukraine war which at any moment could drag us into open conflict with Russia. But there goes the Congressional GOP, nodding along with a Democrat/MSM Narrative. Wouldn’t be so bad if we could find a principal, but you just know they’re so in the Beltway that they’re seriously afraid we’ll think they’re Putin Puppets if they don’t go along with this boondoggle.
People are furiously fighting over Oz and, now, Barnette in the Pennsylvania Senate race. Lots of ostensibly pro-Trump voices being raised against them – in both cases over statements they made or may have made in the past. As I said regarding Oz, I won’t hold anyone to statements made in the past: especially if the statements are pre-2018 or so. We’ve all had a massive education these past few years and all of us view things a bit differently. As I pointed out on Twitter – what’s worse: a person who made ant-MAGA statements in the past, or a person who talks MAGA all day long and then knifes us? Plenty of the GOPers who voted for Ukraine aid probably have impeccable Conservative GOP credentials. I take everyone at face value these days: what do you propose right now? And sure I know that con artists will try to take advantage of this…but I’m at no more risk, and maybe a lot less risk, rolling the dice on a newly-minted MAGA than I am on the GOPe which has betrayed me for decades.
In the end, it is up to the votes of Pennsylvania to sort it out – but my advice to everyone is don’t take anyone’s word for it. Look it up yourself. We know that the most fierce voices are raised against those who fight for us – Trump, Greene, etc. And that tells me something: somebody doesn’t want me to have a champion. So, my first inclination when someone is attacked from the right is to question the attacker’s motives.
Court ruled that California’s ban on gun sales to under-21 is unconstitutional. Which, of course, is “no duh”. And I hate to break it to you, but as soon as someone sues on the cigarette and booze bans, they’ll go down as well. An adult is an adult. Period. Personally, I think we should never have lowered the age to 18 – stupid mistake. But if you make 18 the age where you can vote and enter into contracts, then that covers everything an adult is able to do…so, if you want your ban on booze to 19 year olds to stick, better amend the Constitution to return the voting age to 21.
Team Pudding Brain wants to turn American health care over to WHO – in the name of fighting the pandemic, but actually because (a) they hate the American people and (b) would love to be able to shrug and say “hey, we understand your anger here, but this is a WHO decision” whenever the global elite decides it is time to crush us under useless medical mandates.
Your laugh for the day:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is at 31,727 as I write this, off 4,705 points from its high on November 8th, 2021. It closed on January 20, 2021 (the day Biden was inaugurated) at 31,188. Return to date – 1.7%. And I’m betting we’re nowhere near the bottom.
We are not even close to the bottom. I think we will be in the mid 20’s by the end of the summer. That being said, I just bought Twitter stock because I think Elon is going to do good things there.
Update: 2PM and the DJIA is now only 151 points above where it was on 1/20/21.
You really CAN’T MAKE THIS SH*t UP!
I wonder what percentage of parents with babies are going to vote Democrat on November 8th.
A lot of new stuff is coming out about this, now that Abbott has been publicly blamed. It looks like the FDA dropped the ball—-gee, who woulda thunk it? The shortage has been going on since February. Last month, however, the FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told NBC News none of the bacterial strains taken at the Abbott plant matched those collected from the infants, and the agencies haven’t offered an explanation for how the contamination occurred.
Abbott says its formula “is not likely the source of infection (that killed two babies) ,” though the FDA says its investigation continues. its investigation continues. Just what is left to “investigate”?
So “last month” the FDA agreed that it found no connection between anything at Abbott and anything related to the deaths of the infants, the company’s production had already been shut down for months before they finally managed to complete this testing (which they didn’t begin for approximately four months after receiving a complaint) the company produces 90% of all the formula sold in this country, we don’t allow the sales of imported formula, and none of these dots were connected anywhere in this administration to foresee a crisis?
The plant has been shut down since February. Abbott says they can be up and producing again within two weeks if the FDA just gives them the go-ahead, although it would still be longer to get it distributed to the shelves. So the FDA admitted a month ago that they found no connection between the company and the infant deaths, surely at least one person at the FDA knows how long it will take for production to get started up again and how long it will take to get product on the shelves, yet they have done nothing. Nothing.
Have our government agencies always been this inept? Why are we just seeing one after another prove incompetence, if not worse? Samples from ill infants did not match each other, meaning there was no connection between the two cases. yet the geniuses at the FDA didn’t seem to find this significant, much less the fact that none of the samples matched anything found at Abbott. So they just kept the facility shut down—-it’s still shut down—while they…..what? Complied with administration demands that they look the other way while Pfizer and Moderna keep flogging experimental drugs without finalizing investigations and giving approval?
I’m thinking our next president should start on Day One by demanding the resignation of every single agency head and the top tiers of administration for those agencies, and have people in place to review any applications made by those people for retention. That is, the FDA, the CDC, the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, the BLM, the Forest Service, branches of the military and every cabinet level agency—and I know I missed some. I wonder how far we have to go down the chain of command in these agencies and branches till we find people actually competent and dedicated to their jobs. It’s time to find out.
What’s amazing to me is that for most of my life Leftists have been patient and skilled at hiding who they really are, content to take generations to reach their final goal. Now all of a sudden the patience is gone, and they’re coming right out and saying who they are and what their end game is, There can only be three explanations: (1) they think they’re so close that all it’s going to take is one final, massive push; or (2) they’re so confident that they can cheat their way from here on out that they no longer need to hide who they are and where they want to take society; or (3) they’re even more stupid than we give them credit for.
I’m going with (3) explaining (1) and (2), because this is not an either/or calculation—it’s “All Of The Above”.
Well, I for one am glad they’ve finally taken off the mask. You and I have always known what they were about, but now lots of people who either haven’t been interested in politics or haven’t been paying attention are starting to have their eyes opened.

I think in conjunction with your stated #3, there is an additional consideration to take into account that most people will probably not even consider. That is – the recent (February 2022) consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Why is that important? I’ve read there have been some 9-10 previous consecration “attempts” over a span of many years dating back at least to the 1960’s, none of which have met all of the criteria put forth by our Blessed Mother. A recent article by a few people very knowledgeable of the specifics of our Blessed Mother’s request back at Fatima have suggest the most recent consecration, though not how they recommended it to the Pope, did in fact meet those requirements.
Back in 1917 our Blessed Mother said; “If the Pope and all the bishops would consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, there would be a period of peace. If not, she (Russia – communism (satan)) would spread her errors throughout the world and nations would fall. No doubt, many aspects of communism (satan’s evil) have spread across the globe. Until Russia’s invasion into Ukraine, I think many people believed Russia’s military to be high level, on par in many ways with the best. Though they are still a notable threat, it has become quite obvious their military is nothing like it was believed and faltering fast.
It has been estimated, during the last 80+ day incursion into Ukraine, Russia has lost more than a third of its forces. Russian victory no longer seems likely, or even plausible. Ukrainian counteroffensives are rolling back Russian gains. Russia lost a whole battalion in a quick battle during an ill-fated attempt to cross over river at a strategic point because Ukraine was ready for them. Scores of Russian tanks, air force jets & bombers, and ships have been destroyed or captured. In some cases, tanks have been abandoned due to lack of fuel & supplies. Ukraine’s supply lines are short and robust where Russia’s are long and fragile. Russia has sustained notable loss of rank officials including 13+ generals and 30+ colonels. With the loss of so much military equipment and fighting personnel, they are forced to rely on antiquated equipment in needy repair and poorly trained conscript forces. With a falling birth rate, what conscripts they can call up are mostly much older and poorly trained very young. This essentially means they will lose equipment and people at an even higher rate. Due to modern weaponry, including easy to maneuver laser-guided missiles and drones, Russia’s aged air force is also facing harsh losses. Those losses are likely one of the primary reasons they’ve opted to not send in their best fighter jets, which are by today’s standards, older technology in need of parts to keep in working order. The number of fighting jets and bombers they state in their arsenal is way overinflated. It’s sort of like us counting planes in our airplane graveyard as active. While they still have a number of submarines, some of which are nuclear armed (even older technology nuclear armed subs can be devastating) and nuclear missiles, the Russian bureaucrats are facing all kids of internal and external pressures including political opposition, economic problems, constituent discord, ill and aging leadership (Putin is said to have late-stage blood cancer) and other stresses, it would be easy to see them collapse yet again, likely even farther than they did last time under the umbrella of the Soviet Union.
Does anyone think this is a coincidence when considering the recent consecration of Russia? Does anyone doubt how fast our Blessed Mother can make good on her promises? If communism falters under Russian demise does anyone understand what that means to satan’s quest to take over the world? I can easily envision where satan realizes his time is very short and, in an effort the pull out the stops has abandoned all previous efforts of stealth and patients. His minions in turn are following suit. I doubt these minions understand who’s pulling their strings. Unless they come to understand what evil pushes them, they have little choice in but to continue evil’s bidding which calls for open spiritual warfare. My bet is on the Blessed Mother.
I was under the impression that the Musk takeover of Twitter was a done deal however, there was news as of Friday May 13th that the takeover was on hold. Apparently, there’s concern about the number of spam / fake accounts and / or spam bots. If that number is higher than originally anticipated (5% or less) then, when those accounts are cleaned up the value of Twitter would diminish, making the takeover bid potentially much higher than its worth. The announced hold sent Twitter stock prices tumbling almost 25%. It kind of makes me wonder if this is a concerted attempt by Musk to get Twitter for considerably less than originally proposed or if his concern about the fake accounts has true merit. Either way, it’s actually fun to see Twitter stock prices drop so much and the left fret so much about something that might not happen.
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if this was all an elaborate ploy by Musk to expose how many fake accounts there are on Twitter?
