The MSM is increasing the “Democrats are surging to victory” Narrative. Still, though, with the whispered “but not really” articles here and there. They know the Democrats are getting wiped out. Among other reasons, here’s why:

The Dow is down 18.5% so far in 2022. I haven’t even checked my 401K because I don’t need that negative energy in my life (plus I’m wedded to “dollar cost averaging” in my investment strategy).

Oh, and gas prices have started to rise in some areas. And I paid more than $8 for a 12 pack of Coke. And they were nearly out of avocados. And totally out of the Diet Pepsi the Mrs prefers.

Basically, things are bad and getting worse – and the only thing the Democrats have is abortion and they are running hard on it. Now, could there be a solid majority for abortion in America? People so committed to it that they’ll turn the election for the Democrats? I doubt it. We’ll find out November 8th.

Some people have pointed out that it would be strange for Democrats/MSM to lie about how things are going – in other words, if they spend the next 6 weeks lying about how it will be, they’ll look terribly bad when the results are 180 from their assertions. This is a lack of understanding about how lies work – first and foremost, they work. They always work. No lie has even been spoken that didn’t work.

What do I mean? Surely there have been failed lies.

Well, sure. In fact, all lies fail. They can’t do other than fail. But for the liar, that isn’t the point. No liar is good at long-term thinking. Liars lie because they want to wring whatever advantage they can out of the moment. The cheating husband isn’t thinking about how his lies to his wife will work a year from now – he just wants to get away with his adultery right now. For the liar, all lies work because at least for a second, at the bare minimum, you are spending time refuting the lie – you are not advancing your own cause. You are on defense…while the liar already has his next lie lined up…and is advancing his cause while you’re refuting his last lie.

We can never know counter-factuals but it is my assertion that if the mere truth had been told in 2020, Trump would have won better than 60% of the vote and the GOP would have secured very large Congressional majorities. I’m not talking switching the MSM from anti- to pro-Trump: I’m saying that if the mere truth had been spoken, it would have been like that. That Biden was already in massive cognitive decline; that Hunter’s laptop and all the vileness on it was real; that the FBI has spent years lying about Trump/Russia; that Covid escaped from a Chinese lab and that lockdowns weren’t necessary; that VBM was obviously and only a method of voter fraud. On and on and on like that – the incumbent riding that wave of Truth would have crushed the hapless Democrats.

Lies work – even very stupid lies, such as Trump-Russia or the “very fine people” lie which Pudding Brain asserts was his reason for running. They have a corrosive effect – even the most wise are prey to them. Maybe there’s something to it? comes very much into play…but even with all those lies, Trump won more than 11 million more votes than in 2016: and so my assertion about how it would have gone if the truth had been told. So, the lies they’re using here in 2022 will also work…what should be a 50 seat House gain will probably be 30 or so. It’ll work – it’ll keep the Democrats in the game, and for the liars, that is all that matters.

Now, on to the really scary thing: the murder of Cayler Ellingson: this is a watershed moment in the life of our Republic. A kid was hunted down and murdered for his political beliefs. The last time this sort of thing happened the Freedom Riders were trying to end Jim Crow. But there’s a difference – back then, the Establishment was on the side of the hunted. Here in 2022, it is on the side of the hunters. Even the allegedly GOP AG is downplaying it – and the murderer was charged basically with leaving the scene of an accident and given bail…while J6 detainees are sitting in solitary for trespassing. Make no mistake about it – this is very bad. Joe Biden in his Hitlerian speech the other day gave permission for this…and if our Republican leaders don’t start punishing the Democrats for this sort of thing then people will start to defend themselves against perceived threats.

Got my Penske truck rented, my drivers lined up, my car transport booked, and have been almost ready to head south. And now Hurricane Ian seems to be planning to go right down my street.

I’d closed some of my hurricane shutters before I left last time and have lined someone up to close and anchor the rest. My house was in the path of Hurricane Charlie a few years ago, one of the biggest and most destructive hurricanes on record, so I am hoping it will stand up under this one. Last time my neighbors lost their “cages”—those big screened rooms that enclose lanais and pools and create wonderful outdoor living spaces—so I kind of expect something like that but have my fingers crossed.

At least I am a little ways inland, though on a big canal that is part of a system leading directly to the harbor and from there to the Gulf. I can’t imagine being on one of the barrier islands—Captiva, Sanibel, Gasparilla—in a storm like this. If only it would blow the alligators away.

Thanks. I’m just not used to hurricanes. At least in a blizzard you wake up in the same place where you went to sleep.

From an email I received today.

“Science may well be our best “truth teller” (in the limited categories it has application), but the people who employ it can no longer be trusted.”

Trust the science, but don’t trust the scientists.

Well aside from the reality that Democrats are demonizing and now actually killing MAGA supporters, which doesn’t seem to be newsworthy, the absolute dystopia that Democrats have brought about in this country will be their demise and their desire to kill unborn children (abortion) will not save them.

    Check this out:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11246035/The-20-fastest-cooling-real-estate-markets-crime-ravaged-West-Coast-sees-prices-tumble.html

This is a direct result of government over spending, increased crime, and the over reach on the manufactured pandemic. In other words, Democrats politics are 100% to blame for the collapsing economy, declining consumer confidence, and rampant crime. And yet, Democrats seem to think J6, abortion, and white supremacy are what voters are concerned about. That’s how bone deep stupid they are. YCMTSU.

Let’s not forget, the survival of our country precludes the possibility of Democrats getting us into a nuclear war which is more and more of a reality everyday. So there is that too.

So Velshi on MSNBC just detailed a survey of theirs wherein 74% of respondents claimed to have experienced moderate to severe economic hardships over the last two years. And yet Democrats still seem to think that a womans ability to kill her children is what will motivate voters.

    Again … YCMTSU

When Kamala Harris said “we have a secure border,” i didn’t realize she was actually, kinda telling the truth.

Gosh, I hate to go back to January 6, but I recently gave an example of how protestors could be pushed from behind by a surging crowd into police barricades, citing a video of men carrying a large sign over their heads and being pushed by the crowd. At one or two times the sign crossed the plane of the barricades, which made the police defensive though it was clear there was no violence intended, and then the crowd surged and pushed a couple of men into the barricade. The police reacted by violently shoving the barricade back at the men, who pushed it back—though only to its starting position. I have always thought of this video as a perfect example of how innocent people could inadvertently contribute to a sense of threat to police, resulting in overreaction by the cops, resulting in violence. But I was never able to find the video.

It just surfaced on Twitchy, in a thread about Ray Epps.

And this reminds me–you know how the Left constantly screeches that “there was no infiltration of protesters” blah blah blah? Well, Epps is shown wearing a MAGA hat, inciting violence, going from one group to another, whispering in the ears of one man who then nods, turns, and starts to assault police.. He is probably the most famous person at the rally. He is well known. He was self-identified as a Trump supporter. He is on video repeatedly inciting violence. Yet he has never been arrested or charged with anything. Could it be that this is because he was a known infiltrator of the crowd, known to the feds as not being a Trump supporter but pretending to be one while inciting several groups to become violent and telling them they needed to go to the Capitol? Evidently this is not something the feds want to discuss.

    • Cluster September 25, 2022 / 2:23 pm

Even the crowd knew Epps was a Fed. They started chanting Fed, Fed, Fed when Epps was encouraging them to “go into the capital”.

But the many videos of him inciting rioters to engage in violence, the quick confirmation of his identity and the witnesses who, as you say, were so convinced by his clumsy and blatant efforts to play “let’s you and him fight” that they called him out on it, are simply not adequate for the top law enforcement agency in the country to draw any conclusions.

It’s much more difficult than deciding a decorated veteran who was accidentally knocked into a fallen cop and helped the cop get up, repeating “I’m one of you” and “I’m trying to help you” and who was then thanked for his efforts, deserved a lengthy prison sentence for briefly being on top of the cop.

“Now, on to the really scary thing: the murder of Cayler Ellingson: this is a watershed moment in the life of our Republic. A kid was hunted down and murdered for his political beliefs.”

    You sure about that, Mark?

North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind told Fox News Digital on Sunday that there’s “no evidence” that Ellingson was a “Repblican extremist” or that the incident involved politics.

“We have uncovered no evidence to support Mr. Brandt’s claim on the 911 call he made that Cayler Ellingson is a Republican extremist, nor that this incident involved politics,” Niewind said. “This is a terrible tragedy for the Ellingson family. We continue to investigate what led up to the incident, the crash itself and the claim made by Brandt. But, at this time there has been no evidence to corroborate Brandt’s statement.”

Thanks for yet another example of the amazingly poor comprehension skills of the average (or below average) Lefty troll.

So let’s do a little deconstruction, shall we? (What is plain common sense on this side of the aisle, and a foreign concept on yours.)

1, It does not matter if the murdered youth was a Republican. The only thing that matters is that his killer thought he was. This is so obvious, I am wondering how this Highway Patrol captain ever made it past school crossing guard. Ellingson could have been Amish or recently arrived from Alpha Centauri. IT DOESN’T MATTER. All that matters is that Brandt THOUGHT he was a “Republican extremist” and therefore it was OK to kill him.

      2. Why is this captain focusing on disproving the motive provided by the killer? if Brandt says “This is why I did it” and says this over and over again, just what might be necessary ” to corroborate Brandt’s statement”?

      3. If a man kills another man because of a belief in the victim’s politics, just how can this HP doofus claim that there is no evidence “that this incident involved politics” ?

These are blatant defects in the HP statement, yet you were so smitten by its claim that the murder was not politically motivated you just had to rush over here and ‘splain it to us. No wonder your ilk is so easily led to one foolish conclusion after another.

Let’s not forget that just a few weeks ago, a Democrat politician killed a journalist in Las Vegas. So this is a trend Forty. Democrats are killing people they don’t like.

    • Rm42 September 27, 2022 / 4:12 am

For a person’s motivation all that matters in any way is what that person believed, not what you think he should have believed. Reality doesn’t care about your ‘research’.

    The American Stasi strikes again:

In an early morning raid Friday in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania, about two dozen FBI agents with weapons drawn pounded on the door of Mark Houck’s home, where he lives with his wife and seven children.

What called for yet another pre-dawn raid by armed FBI agents? What called for the surprise attack, and dozens of agents and drawn weapons? Well, >i>Houck is a pro-life activist and president of The King’s Men, a Catholic ministry. He has no prior criminal record. He was arrested Friday morning for an alleged violation of the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, known as the FACE Act.

The incident prompting this armed raid occurred Oct. 21, 2021. The assault claim against Houck is so weak that not only did Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a Soros-backed rogue prosecutor, refuse to file any misdemeanor charges against Houck, but, the family says, a civil lawsuit filed by the escort was thrown out of court. (The injury to the escort required a Band-Aid.)

Houck had pushed a man escorting an abortion seeker after the man became verbally vulgar and abusive to Houck’s son. This is what it takes to stir the American Gestapo into action, nearly a year later, calling for the bully-boy tactics of heavily armed agents pounding on the door at dawn, to arrest a man in front of his terrified children.

Yes, we as a nation face a lot of problems and dangers we didn’t have to deal with two years ago, and yes, candidates need to talk about them—inflation, the border, international relations and so on. But I see the biggest danger right now as the rapid decline into being a Police State and I think there should be a coordinated message from all Republican candidates about this.
