Elon Musk announced that he was going to release the info about how the Hunter laptop story was suppressed on Twitter and everyone got al excited. Except me.

The crucial thing we need to know – the only thing we need to know – about how Twitter suppressed the story is who outside Twitter ordered it done. Now, do I have proof that someone outside Twitter gave the order? Of course not. But the bottom line is that as soon as the Post released the story federal law enforcement, almost all the MSM and all major social media platforms suppressed it. You don’t get that sort of uniformity of action without coordination – and you can’t coordinate that sort of action on the fly. People way up high in power in the USA were aware at least some days in advance that the Post story was coming and they swung into action to make sure it had as little effect as possible. They had their talking points all lined up – it was Russian disinformation. They got 50 former intel guys to sign a letter stating it was a Russian op. Doing this sort of thing takes a few calls, ya know?

So what I want to know is who called Twitter. Someone did. There’s no way it didn’t happen. If I can find out who made the call then I can find out who was ultimately behind the suppression effort by working backwards from that person and seeing who they did or do work for. And I called it before Musk released the info – 100-1 against us getting that crucial bit of information. And, sure enough, when the data was dropped, it lacked that. All it told us was what we already knew – that Twitter came up with an absurd excuse out of the Safety group and the story was gone.

Now, to be sure, they did say that political operatives – including some Republicans – had made various requests to suppress this or that account. But they still didn’t name any names. Likely because if we had an idea who had been calling before Laptop, we could eventually figure out who called for Laptop. Because as far as that goes, it had to be someone who knew about it – so, likely DOJ and/or Team Pudding Brain made that call.

And keep in mind that even if you want to say that fraud played no role in 2020, the suppression of this story did. It is absolutely hideous. Had it been about Don, Jr then Trump would have been lucky to crack 40% on election day. China Joe’s son is hip deep in federal crimes based on info on that laptop…and the pictures are downright disgusting. It was a candidacy-killer. Had it been given the normal play a story like that gets, these days Joe’s lawyers would be arguing he’s senile and so isn’t fit to stand trial. It was killed because to save Biden and get Trump out, it had to be killed. And, yes, this does make it even money that senior GOPers played a role in suppressing the story.

Until we get that info, its all pretty pointless. Musk says there is more to come – so, let’s hope. But I have my doubts that the truth will come out…because, remember, a lot of laws get broken in campaign offices and law enforcement agencies when you coordinate with media to favor one party over the other in a political campaign. A lot of well-placed people will be in jeopardy if it all comes out.

Apple CEO Tim Cook dodged questions about Apple’s relationship with China – because what else could he do? You do business in China and the Chinese own you. They have your factory. They control your labor force and supplies. If you don’t toe the PRC line, you’ll lose everything. And that is before the PRC gets you in-country, indulges any perversions you have and gets it all on video.

I’ve thought for decades that America having relations with tyrannical regimes is a huge mistake – we poison ourselves when we do that. Either we believe in our Declaration or we don’t. If we do, then we can’t hold that the PRC is a legitimate government – it is a mafia with an army. And you can’t make honest deals with the mob. We should, step by step, de-couple ourselves from all unfree nations.

Personal opinion. The laptop was a set up by the Russians. They found a bunch of stuff on Hunter, put it on the laptop and came up with the ridiculous story that Hunter just so happened to forget he dropped his laptop off at a shop owned by a Trump supporter. I also believe that some of the stuff they turned up is true and I wouldn’t be surprised if Hunter is charged with some crimes (although not eh ones you want).

I also expect that the Republican House will spend a lot of time “investigating” the laptop, which will get them nowhere. I’d be okay with that if they also investigated the two billion Jared got from the Saudis and some of the other murky deals by the Trump family.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but it’s an uninformed opinion. It reminds me of an old saying, “better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Wow, I guess thank you Casper for showing us all what America is up against – a diabolical level of willful ignorance and blind allegiance to the preservation of moral superiority. As long as Progressives like Casper can continue to believe that Democrats are inclusive and support “hard working families”and that the “other party” are racists, then life is good and nothing will ever penetrate that belief. No amount of evidence of crimes or incompetence of duties will deter Casper from his long held binary political thinking – Democrats good, Republicans bad.

And conservatives try every election cycle to convince voters of the benefits of a secure border, energy independence, no foreign entanglements, etc., which evidently is going right over the head of most Americans. We need to dumb down our message.

      • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 11:06 am

Casper, like his fellow travelers, is too banal to be diabolical. The Left depends on people with his narrow bandwidth, people who never question what they are told. More and more I am convinced of the relevance of my observation that the Left offers a short cut to the Higher Moral Ground, because when you look at the smugness, the preening, the smirky assumption of moral superiority these people present it is obvious that this is the core of their self-identity, which means they can never give it up.

We think we are offering an alternative political perspective, one which is supported by history and common sense, but what they see is that we are trying to strip them of what makes them feel good about themselves. The risk to their selfhood represented by an honest evaluation of their political choices is just too great. It’s so much easier to just settle into the cozy delusions of moral authority than to do the heavy lifting of actual thinking, of actual analysis, and of stepping away from the flock to look at the reality outside its rigid boundaries.

First, they see no relationship between the American Democrat Party and the historical Left. That is very important, because it lets them condemn Stalin and Pol Pot, et al, without being critical of their own party. They can do this with ease, because they base all their “decisions” (which are really just guesses) on Identity Politics, not on analysis and evaluation of the structure of the party’s ideology. This willful ignorance of political structure lets them parrot the silliness that Hitler was “right-wing” (and so, by extension, are Nazis) while blithely accepting the encroachment on their liberty of an ever-expanding Central Authority.

Second, they have wholly submitted to the Identity Politics mentality. Look at how many Dems still howl that Trump was a “dictator” (in spite of his efforts to remove inhibitory regulations to unleash the energy and potential of Americans and in the total absence of any dictatorial act) while they remained meekly silent as their preference for the presidency imposed, without a hint of legislation from Congress, Draconian limits on our liberty. They were obediently mute as he shut down schools, destroyed businesses, stripped people of their livelihoods if they did not bend the knee to his “vaccine” mandates, and even threatened to ban interstate travel. Clearly, they define words like “dictator” not by actual definitions or actions, but by the identity of the person in charge.

      • Cluster December 3, 2022 / 11:23 am

… but what they see is that we are trying to strip them of what makes them feel good about themselves.

That’s it in a nutshell. It’s impenetrable narcissism. I once asked a liberal Democrat if actual results mattered in policy, to which he replied it was more intent then results and Democrats just “seem to care more”. And that was his entire political philosophy. So again, we need to dumb down our message.

      • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 1:25 pm

Sadly, I think the comment by that Democrat sums up the shortsightedness of the base of the party. When intent matters more than outcome, and “caring more” trumps “doing more” you end up with people voting for Joe Biden, a lifelong failure, because he was able to project an image of geniality and good intentions.

    • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 2:30 pm

Wow. Somehow on my first reading I missed casper’s leadoff post. So the ” laptop was a set up by the Russians”?

OK, let’s go with that. The first and most important question would be “why?” Why would “the Russians” want Trump to be president, instead of Biden? Trump, who was the target of the Russian interference efforts back in 2016 when a Russian agent colluded with the DNC and Hillary Clinton to cobble together a “dossier” to embarrass Trump and guarantee Hillary the win. Trump, who was tough on Russia. who initiated tough sanctions on Russia and promised more, who was a thorn in Putin’s side, whose energy policies made the US impervious to foreign oil manipulations and need to buy Russian oil in addition to being able to provide oil to nations Russia might want to bully by withholding oil from them. Yeah, Russia was so dedicated to getting Trump reelected, regretting their 2016 participation in the DNC/Clinton dossier mess, that they came up with this convoluted scheme that involved finding a computer repair company owned by “a Trump supporter” and forging Hunter Biden’s signature on the exact same release form the company always used to deal with the issue of computers left by clients who never returned to claim them and pay for the work done on them. They put together a large volume of authentic Hunter Biden emails to and from various people, plus his own photos and comments (never mind how they got such a wide range and volume of such material—according to casper they just “found ” it) in the proper sequence of dates and times, fudging the hard drive to show that entries had been made when the dates on the emails said they had.

In other words, Russia was so convinced it was in Russia’s best interests to return Trump to office, instead of replacing him with a bumbling incompetent Biden so compromised by his illicit dealings with nations like Ukraine and China that he could be a mere puppet controlled by Putin, that they undertook a massively complex scheme to create, from whole cloth, an entire history of Hunter Biden on a laptop computer and then plant it with a “Trump supporter” to be brought out in time to tank the election for Biden.

That about sum it up, casper? Of course, you have to pretend that a hardcore drug addict and alcoholic would never ever forget that he had left his computer somewhere to be worked on. And then there is the aspect of all the pro-Biden forces colluding to keep this secret—the FBI, social media and the Agenda Media, all of them evidently standing in unison against the might and power of Russia to thwart her evil conniving, rejecting their earlier and historic loyalty to the Left. It’s almost like an allegory of Good Vs Evil played out right in front of us!

Of course, that same FBI, once it had done its duty in protecting a Dem candidate, did admit it had verified the Hunter Biden signatures on the release form of the computer repair store, and all the other aspects of the story panned out. The computer repair shop always had this policy and this release form when it took in computers for repairs, everything on the hard drive was consistent with the dates shown for when the information was entered, the emails were confirmed to be valid, and ownership of the computer was traced back to Hunter.

DAMN! those Russians are GOOD! They anticipated and covered every possible element that might reveal their dastardly plotting, the dastards!

Actually, the morals of this story are clear. One is that Occam’s Razor does apply to the Hunter Biden laptop story. That is, that it is exactly what it appears to be, without any elaborate conniving or electronic manipulation by any sinister third party. A perennially stoned and drunken loser forgot where he left his laptop, and that he had signed a legal document giving ownership of it to a repair shop if he failed to pick it up. The other is that Occam’s Razor also applies to casper. That is, that he truly is the clueless doofus he appears to be, babbling nonsense with no apparent realization of how it labels him as nothing but another Useful Idiot serving his Leftist masters.

other murky deals by the Trump family.

Such as? You people are so good at tossing out casual references to Trump’s alleged “crimes” yet you never have examples.

And explain, please, just what you think Saudi Arabia got from its dealings with Jared Kushner. Did the Trump administration destroy the American energy sector so we could send billions of dollars to Saudi Arabia to buy their oil? What are we missing here?

WASHINGTON — The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into a $2 billion investment by the Saudi government into a firm formed by Jared Kushner after he left the White House last year. That was six months ago. What have they found out?

Carolyn Maloney whined: “Your support for Saudi interests was unwavering, even as Congress and the rest of the world closely scrutinized the country’s human rights abuses in Yemen, the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi assassins tied to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Saudi Arabia’s crackdown on political dissidents at home.”

In other words, the complaint seems to be that Jared Kushner, in anticipation of a financial windfall from the Saudis. somehow influenced his father in law (a man notorious for not being easily influenced) and the entire United States government, to allow a sovereign nation to deal with its internal affairs without interference from us. I wonder if Ms. Maloney is as distraught over our country’s failure to “scrutinize” the slavery issue in China, or its abuse of its citizens in its alleged “zero Covid” campaign, given the history of the Biden family involvement in multi-billion dollar dealings with that nation.

Casper just gobbles up every tidbit of nasty tossed to him by his masters, and then scurries over here to regurgitate it with such pride. Poor silly sap.

    • Mark Noonan December 3, 2022 / 2:57 pm

Good Lord, Casper – have a little self respect. Even CBS has reported that the laptop is Hunter’s and there’s no evidence that it was tampered with. Maybe you don’t have any experience with drug addicts but the provenance of the laptop is precisely the sort of really stupid things that drug addicts do. He put all his garbage on it and then forgot he had left it at the repair shop. Simple as.

Now, the real issue here is that the FBI had it in 2019. This means, of course, that they knew what was on it and who’s it was – and they didn’t do anything with it. They sat on it, hoping it would go away.

Well, turns out, it didn’t – they found out that the Post was going to run a story on it…and that’s where we need to focus our efforts: who at DOJ coordinated the killing of the story? And did any Team Biden people participate? From what Musk released, its extremely like that DOJ and Team Biden people did coordinate the killing: the DOJ was already involved in such efforts (one dimwit Leftist actually admitted on Twitter last night that he was at an FBI briefing specifically about the laptop two months before the story broke – with the FBI saying it was Russian hacking, something we know for certain is not true)…and Team Biden is already now known to have been involved in trying to kill unfavorable stories on social media.

As I said, you don’t get that sort of uniformity by accident or on the fly. The response so far to Musk’s reveal is telling here – for the moment, the MSM doesn’t know what to say and so they are flailing around trying one thing after another to downplay the story…and they aren’t reporting it on their main sites because they simply don’t have an agreed-upon set of talking points yet. I’m sure the DNC is focus-grouping it as we speak and in a day or two they’ll have their Narrative and they’ll all stick to that. So, when the entire MSM, Social Media and Government agencies were all on the same page the minute the Post story came out, you know that everyone had advance knowledge of what was coming and they had been given their talking points…and their talking points were crafted just so Pudding Brain could get up on stage and call the whole laptop a Russian op.

For your own sake, Casper: just admit it. You can stay liberal! But for crying out loud, just admit that your team suppressed a perfectly true and legitimate story in order to save Biden’s bacon.

      • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 4:46 pm

…just admit that your team suppressed a perfectly true and legitimate story in order to save Biden’s bacon…. and, of great importance, to rig the election. Meaning its official outcome is and forever will be questionable, for this and other malfeasance.

      • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 4:53 pm

that’s where we need to focus our efforts

Yes, and no. While the collusion of social media, the Agenda Media and the Biden team is certainly extremely important, we shouldn’t overlook the seriousness of the fact that a federal agency purposely manipulated information the public had every right to know, and which was crucial in the decision-making process of who was going to lead the country. With the thumb of a party on the scale, allowing it to control information, we are moving well into Banana Republic territory.

This alone should call for a major shakeup of the FBI. And I still root for the dumping of the IRS as we know it and a shift to the Fair Tax, stripping this agency of its current extra-constitutional Gestapo powers.

Elon has shown that there was direct communication with the Biden 2020 team, and there are actual pictures of Hunter doing drugs with underage girls, and there are emails detailing the money made from foreign countries and a list of who would share in the profits, but this is still not enough evidence to convince someone like Casper lmao.

Remember when Lois Lerner attacked conservative groups and we all wondered if Obama had sent the word down? I think it was Rush Limbaugh who pointed out that there doesn’t need to be direct communication because they all know what needs to be done. The Democrats are the Mafia and they all walk in lockstep.

    • Amazona December 3, 2022 / 11:15 am

So much of the focus on the laptop is on the antics of Hunter Biden, when I think the real relevance is the revelation of the business dealings of Hunter that show the complicity, if not control, of those dealings by the then-Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden.

Who cares if Hunter Biden is a disgusting degenerate? What matters are the areas in which his degeneracy is shown by illegal business dealings which involved and benefit his father.

I think a bigger scandal than the silencing of the laptop information is the lack of attention paid to the Tony Bobulinkski interview. That should have hit the headlines in every news story and print and online publication. But it was shoved off into a corner, ignored and dismissed. The laptop made some references to Joe Biden’s involvement in illegal and corrupt activities and his abuse of power as Vice President, but Bobulinski’s interview tied Joe Biden directly to these dealings.

Twitter executive Vijaya Gadde, head of Legal, Police, and Trust, played a key role in suppressing the October 2020 Hunter Biden laptop story. Gadde would later be fired by Musk when he took control in October, and then immediately snapped up by the Biden Administration for a sweet ‘advisory position’ in the Department of Homeland Security’s “disinformation” bureau. Pressure is now mounting on Joe Biden after Elon Musk revealed that Twitter execs responded ‘handled’ to requests from the President’s team to remove content about Hunter Biden’s leaked laptop files. Twitter’s CEO ceremoniously revealed the back-end messages – which seemed to show members of Biden’s inner circle attempting to remove criticism about his son from the platform before the 2020 election. Following the sensational revelations last night, Donald Trump has yet again demanded the 2020 results be void and have the country declare him the rightful winner. Musk also suggested that the social media giant – which he was not in charge of at the time – was taking orders from the federal government following the barrage of tweets he posted, under the name the ‘Twitter Files.’ The leaked correspondence contained damning insider communications that predate Musk’s ownership, which provided insight to the dissent and confusion seen within the company as it responded to reporting on the scandal in October 2020. The emails provided new detail on Twitter’s shady censorship decision, which Musk said was made behind the scenes ‘at the highest levels of the company’ at the behest of Biden officials, and ‘based upon thousands of internal documents obtained by sources at Twitter.

Something like the eleventy-ninth chapter in the Covid Saga:

A scientist who worked for several years at the Wuhan Institute of Virology Lab in China has released a bombshell new book claiming that the COVID virus is man-made and that the subsequent cover-up by Dr. Anthony Fauci et al. was the “biggest US intelligence failure since 9/11.”

In his new book, The Truth About Wuhan (published by Simon and Schuster), former vice president of EcoHealth Alliance Dr. Andrew Huff asserts that the pandemic was caused by the U.S. government’s funding of dangerous coronavirus engineering in the People’s Republic of China.

We are evidently supposed to overlook the ways totalitarians jumped on the virus to foment panic and impose Draconian limits on our liberty, as the World Health Organization reportedly believes COVID did come from a lab after a “catastrophic accident.”

So it was just an “oops” which coincidentally sparked the exact same response around the world as country after country showed its true totalitarian soul and flexed its muscles to bully, intimidate, harass, imprison and limit the freedom of billions of people. We might be able to blame these things on weak minds easily panicked by pseudo-science, but there sure didn’t seem to be any pushback from any government I saw demanding additional objective scientific input before the lockdowns, etc. took place. Or after, for that matter.

And there hasn’t been a peep about Joe Biden making this drug a mandatory requirement for employment and travel while refusing to force the drug companies to do normal extensive testing and actually protecting those companies from legal liability for damage done by those drugs by allowing them to continue under Emergency authority. For years.

And not a whisper of commentary on how this has been played to try to support international requirements for what is coyly called a “vaccine passport” but which is really just a new version of the identity papers people used to have to carry, and show, in places like the old USSR and Nazi Germany.

I suggest the coverup of the virus origin will take second or third place behind the coverup of the damages done by the drugs and the corruption involved as untold billions of dollars were funneled to companies making dangerous drugs which were then forced onto the public by government that increasingly appear to be complicit in a scheme that took millions of lives and expanded the scope of government control all around the world.

The object of politics is power and the methods used are “by any means necessary”. A permanent majority or a New World Order is the constant desire of politicians who believe they alone have the wisdom to order the affairs of humanity. They will pursue it as long as they can, and not just through Twitter. Assuming one wants to retard the march toward autocracy, it is necessary to derail the concept of the Divine Right of Kings, which takes the modern form of assuming that a select group of virtuous superior people have been anointed to carry out History’s plans. This means arguing for the wisdom of crowds. How shall we do that?

First, point out that elite governance, the admirers of Communist China notwithstanding, has its shortcomings. Autocracy is built on vast social and bureaucratic constituencies. It’s a giant pyramid of rice bowls. This structure gives autocracy its characteristic ponderous fragility. One of the reasons democracy is better than autocracy is that a democratic society can be in many simultaneous states at once without being compelled to resolve itself. It contains much more information than a strictly regimented one. No top-down administrative state, however elaborate, can process the complexity of human activity without creating bottlenecks. Not even China. The bandwidth of life is just so much greater that autocracy inevitably gums up the works.

It’s interesting to see someone refer to the Divine Right of Kings in the context of Leftist pursuit of power, which is based on the masses believing that some people simply have the virtue and superior knowledge to govern the rest of us. Thomsas Sowell referred to this belief system in his “Conflict of Visions” in which he explained that there are people who simply believe that some people have such superior intellect and knowledge and skill they should be invested with great power (while others believe that all people are vulnerable to error and therefore we should have processes in place to mitigate abuses of power.)

An interesting observation at the end of the article: The tension between reality and the curated Narrative, which is what old Twitter became, increased until it snapped like a rubber band.

I think we are seeing the tension between reality and the curated Narrative of the Left showing strain and breaking down here and there, hopefully leading to a cascade of breakdowns.

Agree. I think, and pray, that the Democrats hold on the manufactured narrative is starting to unwind. It’s all lies.

I suspect that’s one of the primary reasons we aren’t currently engaged in an all-out civil war. If I could cite one of the major differences between Conservatives and Progressives, it would be that Conservatives generally think before they act and Progressives don’t, hence the expression “knee-jerk Liberal.” One of my favorite sayings seems to be in play at the present time: “when your adversary is engaged in self-immolation, the best strategy is to hide the fire extinguishers and get the hell out of the way.”

Yep – and its been a thing for a long while. Started with Saint-Simon in the French Revolution; this concept that a technical and managerial elite should govern for the benefit of all. The French Ecole polytechnique was founded pretty much with this in mind. And at least at the founding, it was designed to find via merit the best of the best and then put them in charge. To this day, getting into the Ecole polytechnique requires a very first rate intellect (though I’ll bet, like all Western standards, it has degraded over time).

The real problem is that we have degraded education so much that those who are getting the prestige degrees are not in any identifiable way more intelligent than the average run and they haven’t been given any particular knowledge that Joe Blow can’t Google. But these people still consider themselves Elite…not only equal to the graduates of a century ago, but far superior to them. Even though I doubt that a one of them knows Latin or Greek or can do a quadratic equation without computer assist…which used to be a requirement for entry into the elite schools. What we’ve got is a Moron Elite…and they are ruining everything. It’ll take centuries to repair the damage.
