The Empire of Lies

I’ve talked about this before but it is really getting into my mind: just how long we’ve been under a dictatorship of lies. My latest round of thinking about this was a Tweet where the “without the USSR, we couldn’t have won WWII” assertion was made – and not by a Leftist and not by someone unfamiliar with history. It was a highly educated Right person making the statement. It is just an accepted thing: it is the way it was, no doubt about it.

400,000 jeeps and trucks

11,400 aircraft

7,000 tanks

4.4 million tons of food

2.6 million tons of oil

That’s just us, and only a very partial list of what we sent to the USSR. The Brits provided the Red Army’s boots and at least a quarter of their medium tanks (it wasn’t a Soviet miracle of producing the T-34 which got the job done…it was British and American workers: the Soviet films show the T-34’s rolling into Germany…but this is simply because they didn’t film the Sherman’s and Valentine’s which probably made up nearly half their medium tank strength – and on film, especially if moving and a bit out of focus, easy to mistake a Valentine for a T-34). But when you think of all we sent to the USSR keep in mind that at the same time we were raising and splendidly equipping 12 million US service members…and building for ourselves thousands of planes, tanks and ships.

The reality is that the USSR could not have survived without American and other allied aid – and that the USA and Britain vastly outnumbered and outproduced the AXIS powers. And this is even if you take away the fact that we got the Atomic Bomb in 1945 – supposing that didn’t work and the USSR was, say, knocked out in 1943, the Anglo-American alliance would still have rolled into Germany. Might have been 1947 before they did, but it would happen. Germany (Japan, the whole AXIS) has no business going to war with us. It was stupid. Suicidal. And while the USSR killed more Krauts than we did, those Krauts were doomed to die…if not in the snows of Russia, then in the fields of France.

Once you think about it for even just a few minutes and access some readily available information, you can see that it is a lie to say the USSR was vital to Allied victory. It wasn’t. For heaven’s sake, while we were invading Africa, Italy and France and bombing German cities to smithereens and sending massive supplies to the USSR, we were also fighting the Japanese! And while the Japanese never had a command structure like that of the Germans and while on the assault they were often tactically mishandled, we found that one the defense and dug in, the Japanese were harder to fight than the Germans…the Germans would eventually quit. The Japanese kept at it until exterminated. It is like people ignore the Pacific Theater – as if in some way it wasn’t happening at the same time. But once you put Europe and Pacific together and see what the USA did, it is obvious that the USA needed nobody’s help. It was nice to have the help. It ended the war a lot faster and so saved lives…but we never needed a single Russian bayonet on the line.

And when you start to think about it, you just go on: what other bull have we been fed? After a while, you then arrive at your final destination: is anything we’ve been told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

I don’t think so. I believe that our government – our institutions overall – got into the habit of lying to us so long ago that it became entirely ingrained. They lie not as a last resort to deflect blame, but as a first resort to make certain the Narrative supports them no matter what happens. In other words, when they get ready to tell us something, they’ve already thought it out a few steps ahead and so figure out which lie to tell now which will best deflect blame a few steps down the road. Like after 9/11 when we were all told early on that there was no way to prevent it. Well, turns out it could have been easily prevented and the government was presented with chance after chance to prevent it. They knew, of course, that eventually the truth would come out…but they also knew that if they just bald-faced lied about it from the get-go, then by the time the truth emerged it would all be too late. Those responsible would be retired or transferred and “why dig up the past?” would make certain nothing happened.

I mean, for goodness sake, for years we were told that USSR GDP was just a tad behind USA GDP and that they were a serious, first world nation which we had to coexist with. After the USSR fell, we saw what a complete mess the whole thing was with there being a real chance that per-capita Russia wealth was lower in 1991 than it had been in 1913. Right now, Russia’s GDP is on par with South Korea’s…you know, that tiny half-country with no resources and 1/3 Russia’s population.

Fifty former intel people signed a letter stating they were certain Hunter’s laptop was disinformation. You think that was the first time they lied? And, once again, they knew it was a lie when they said it. They didn’t care. It got Team Pudding Brain over the hump and now that Biden’s people are in charge of Justice, nothing will actually happen…and by the time a GOPer gets in, it’ll likely be dropped for statute of limitations reasons and/or “it is time to move on”.

I guess all I can say here is trust nothing. Oh, you can find some facts – they are available. But don’t let anyone interpret those facts for you. And find out which facts they didn’t include. Think about it. Who went to the Moon 8 years after “go”? So how close, really, was that Space Race? Why didn’t we use the USSR’s desperate need to import American grain to force concessions from them? How in heck does a zillion tons of drugs cross our border? Once you start thinking, it really becomes a lot clearer of what has happened – a cabal of the corrupt and stupid have been running a self-perpetuating Oligarchy designed to bind the American people hand and foot. To make us scared. Unsure of ourselves. Unwilling to flex our real power…and all the while allowing the cabal to steal and abuse to their heart’s content.

Wake up. Think. Learn.

And then destroy them all.

You’re a brother from another mother Mark. I am sympatico amigo. I remember being a little disappointed and dismayed at the Iran Contra scandal with Reagan and that kind of opened my eyes even at the age of 24. I thought to myself, why in the world would Reagan lie about this?? He wanted to arm the rebels in Nicaragua to fight the emerging communists … what’s wrong with that? And why not just come out and say it? But no. They, for whatever reason, decided to sell arms to Iran of all countries and use that laundered money to fund the Contras. I still don’t understand it, but the fact is, they lied about it and probably for some reason we don’t know.

How about WMD in Iraq?? The impetus of the Iraq/Afghanistan war was in all likelihood, a lie. And that lie was intentional and with purpose … to allow the Military Industrial Complex to play with all their new toys in a sandbox far away from home.

Of all the good America has accomplished in the last 250 years, we have also created a lot of chaos and misery. And now it seems that the chaos and misery Americas Oligarchy likes to inflict, is directed at their own citizens.

    • Mark Noonan May 8, 2023 / 3:27 pm

All credit to Reagan for the great things he did but you do have to wonder: why go that route? Why not just propose to Congress that we fund the Contras? Sure it would have been a huge fight…but why not have it? Instead, the whole thing was turned over to the CIA which had, in hindsight, entirely predictable results…the job wasn’t done right and we had to make deals not just with the Mullahs, but with the drug runners (the CIA didn’t import the coke…but they clearly turned a blind eye to it and weren’t at all helpful to the DEA).

Oh, small side note here but in the long sweep of history, it may be seen as a watershed moment in the global pushback against the Left: Chile is, of course, governed under the Constitution set up by Pinochet as he ended his regime and restored Democratic government. The Left still despises Pinochet and so they’ve always wanted to trash that Constitution and impose something that would make Allende proud. They thought they had their chance – Chile recently elected a complete dimwit of a Progressive youngster who was hailed as the Next Thing by the global elite…he’d fix it all up! Well, he called a vote to establish a Constitutional Convention to do a re-write…and the Pinochet party didn’t just win it, it won it by a supermajority. So, the Left will not have to vote in favor of a new Constitution which will be Pinochet on steroids, or vote to keep the Pinochet Constitution.

      It is glorious to behold.

re: WMD in Iraq. I think Saddam had WMD but the year-long dithering by W gave him time to move them all to Syria. We watched it happen. We saw nightly convoys of semis lining up at known WND factories and then driving across the border to Syria. A man in Saddam’s government made a sworn statement about one of the two passenger jets we allowed in and out of the country every day being stripped of its seats and equipped with brackets for large heavy vertical tanks, which were strapped in and flown to Syria.

I gave Bush credit for trying to head off accusations of being a dictator, going off on his own, etc by getting repeated authorizations to invade. He got them, but the Left ignored them and made its accusations anyway, but in the meantime we literally watched our main reason for invading being removed, bit by bit. I remember the confusion out here in the real world, the yelling “what are we waiting for, they’re hauling away the evidence!” as the government dithered and delayed.

Oh, there was plenty of lying all right, but I think it came later, when people who knew there had been WMD started to run backward and suddenly whine that they had been the victims of lies and no sirree, it turned out there hadn’t been any WMD at all. All the evidence—-the known factories being systematically emptied, the convoys of trailers going across the border every night, the traces of WMD chemicals found in various places after we invaded, the delivery system components we found, all were ignored in the reversal of positions.

And so a new narrative was born—that there had never been a reason to go into Iraq because by golly there just were no WMD and it was all lies, just lies, nothing to see here folks. We never saw the known WMD factories being emptied and sanitized, we never found traces of WMD, and as for Syria later using WMD, well, that was just coincidental. I have wondered why this was deemed necessary–was it to throw W under the bus, to indict “neocons” who had supported the invasion in a retroactive attack, or just to pander to the Left in a little revision of history?

In any case, I am tired of people on “our” side adopting the new narrative. I remember discussions here on this blog during the time the factories were being emptied and the convoys crossing the border. I remember the media commentaries on it. And now it’s as if it never happened, was just a Bobby Ewing dream to be forgotten as we get in line to repeat “there were no WMD”.

Look at this f***ked up headline from the Daily Mail

Distressing clip shows shoppers flee Texas mall as shots ring out after Neo-Nazi ex-military security guard Mauricio Garcia pulled up and shot dead eight people with AR-15 …. Investigators believe he may have been a white supremacist or neo-Nazi, as Gov. Greg Abbott warns ‘don’t jump to conclusions’

So an hispanic with cartel/gang tattoos is now a “New-Nazi” and “white supremacist” ????? Un f***king believable. I think brown supremacist would be a better description. I highly doubt this murderer was hoping to further the “white supremacist agenda”.

Hey white Americans, how much more proof do you need to realize that you are under attack??

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12059365/Neo-Nazi-Texas-mall-shooter-Mauricio-Garcia-removed-Army-mental-health-concerns.html

    • Mark Noonan May 8, 2023 / 3:19 pm

They have been waiting and waiting for a white supremacist to go on a shooting rampage but as there are only like 6 white supremacists in the USA (and 3 of them are Feds) they kept getting disappointed…the trans shooter was a body blow to them! So, they’ve just decided to pick the next shooter and as long as not actually black, call him a white supremacist.

      • jdge1 May 8, 2023 / 8:27 pm

        …shooter with nazi tats.
…he had a RWDS (Right Wing Death Squad) patch on his body armor.

So? What does that have to do with anything?

The stupidity of the left is trying to equate Caucasian people, particularly men, as being terrorist thugs. German nazi’s were war criminals. Gang members, especially those like ms13 are hardened criminals. Most Caucasian males are NOT. Trying to associate the 2 using terms like “white supremacist” is nothing more than a blatant lie intended to punish someone for nothing more than their skin color, something explicitly against the US Constitution. But that doesn’t stop the left from repeating it, same thing you’re attempting here.

As I said in a previous post, the left tries to frame the picture as “far right” & “far left”, where they attempt to lump multiple evils in the corner of the right, being anyone who does not subscribe to leftist ideology. In truth, what we have is, moral and immoral, good and evil. You cannot have a “far” good / moral that is undesirable, unless you’re intent to furthering evil at the destruction of all else. As Amazona has previously said, if a person on the pollical right is someone who adheres to the Constitution, with severely restricted duties of the federal government, being “far right” make no sense, unless you’re intending to use it in a very different context while trying to equate the 2 as being the same. The left needs this lie to implement controls and destruction while claiming “for the greater good of …”.

When you repeat the notion of white supremacists & neo nazis & gang members being in the same category as those on the right-side political spectrum, you are nothing more than a tool for satan furthering lie to steal and destroy.

      • Amazona May 9, 2023 / 1:15 pm

Yet the invented term “far right” has nothing to do with the actual Right in American politics. It is a pejorative invented to be able to smear the real Right by linking it with radical and violent movements and people.

      • Amazona May 10, 2023 / 1:40 pm

I think a lot of, if not most of, those who show superficial allegiance to a controversial or offensive ideology do it for shock value much more than because of a real understanding of and acceptance of the ideology. Much like most (nearly all) of those who support Democrats and the Left, it is superficial and lacking any depth or true commitment to the cause.

Nazi tats certainly might indicate allegiance to fascism, but I would bet that a few questions about their basis would get answers that boil down to liking them because they are offensive, a visual way of saying “F you” and/or a pathetic effort to get attention.

Without a history of overtly defending and supporting Nazis and white supremacy, I think most of these kinds of displays are merely efforts to posture as badasses or rebels, without any real substance. Though in some cases the desire to appear as a badass can certainly develop into a real sociopathic episode like shooting a lot of people. It’s a spectrum of antisocial attitude but I think the symbols are on the less concerning end of that spectrum, especially when the act of violence isn’t related to the messages in the symbols.

That is, if the Nazi symbols are worn by a man who then attacks synagogues or Jews in general, then the symbols might be significant. If white supremacist symbols are worn by someone who targets non-white races, ditto. But random symbols and random violence are just that—random.

      • jdge1 May 9, 2023 / 2:04 pm

I’m guessing “far right” became a thing some years ago, when there was a concerted effort to be seen as a moderate or centrist politician. The notion that if you have centrist there has to be polar opposites. As leftist ideologies kept encroaching into freedoms while still trying to retain the moderate title, the only way to get people to buy into this deception was to push a “far right” concept and attach to it a wide range of negatives that have absolutely nothing to do with the US Constitution & Bill of Rights that the right-side political structure is focused on. As we’ve all seen multiply time, the left will use any means necessary to smear the opposition and call things something they are not, to create the perception of an evil enemy, a villain. They constantly use terms like, racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc… to attack the “other side”. And people buy into it, mostly because they are locked into victimhood mentality, which is an easy sell to lazy minded people.

Those on the right must call this out any time it’s used. They must stand against the lies and make clear statements like; “Prosecuting criminals is NOT racist”, “Wanting to protect children from mutilation is NOT transphobic”, every time the lie used. But this is only part of the solution as it is defensive. We must counter attack with the truth in a way people can relate. For example, when the left says; “They want to take away your social security” the right must immediately respond; “There absolutely no effort on the right to eliminate social security. What we ARE tying to do is eliminate wasteful leftist spending so there will continue to be money promised to those who paid into social security all their lives.”

      • Amazona May 10, 2023 / 2:17 pm

Yes! Yes! We need to stop being on the back foot all the time! As I pointed out in an earlier post, DeSantis illustrated this when he defended himself and then went right back at his attacker.

When someone supports abortion, why don’t we ask “why do you support slavery?” As the Left is based, in this country, on using slavery as a launching point for its racist positions, they freak out about being accused of being pro slavery. But if slavery is defined as the ownership of human beings, and abortion is based on the claim that a woman owns the human being she has conceived, why isn’t she guilty of slavery? Especially as she is exercising the ability to determine life or death of the human being she claims to own and control.

When someone howls about “BANNING BOOKS” in schools and children’s sections of libraries, why don’t we ever simply ask “Why is it so important to you to sexualize young children? When did you decide it was important to you to encourage early sexual activity in children?”

I think the first response to “they want to take away your social security” would be “Who does and why do you think that?”
Then maybe “Have you added up the billions we spend to support healthy people who just don’t want to work, added to what we spend on illegal immigrants for health care, education and housing, added to the billions wasted by our government on things like grants to study if heavy drinking leads to more sexual activity of college students, and realized how those hundreds of billions could improve our social security system?”

Or, a simpler response might be “Oh, is it the Republicans who are diverting hundreds of billions of dollars away from Social Security to supporting illegal aliens, welfare for healthy people who don’t want to work, restraining beagles so they can be eaten alive by sand fleas, and bogus government grants to study silly things like the sex lives of centipedes?”

And my personal biggie, that of enabling and supporting a brutal and oppressive political system by voting for Democrats. I’m the only one I have heard of who responds to Dem voters with “why do you support a political system based on consolidating power in the hands of a few elites?” Every single version of this question (“Why do you support a system which has always resulted in economic misery and loss of liberty and the murder of tens of millions?” etc) the so-called answer is a version of “but…TRUMP!” (It used to be “but…BUSH!”) It’s always an admission of both ignorance of the system they are enabling and supporting and an admission of making serious decisions based on emotion, based on opposing a man they don’t like.

      • Amazona May 10, 2023 / 2:31 pm

A couple of weeks ago someone pulled that crap about the need to “affirm gender identity” in children and I said that when we decide that six year olds can drive, own guns, get tattoos, drink liquor, smoke and vote I’ll agree that they have the maturity to decide if they want their winkies cut off.

Being a Word Nazi, I go after the words, because I am very hostile toward semantic infiltration, and get very irritated when we start to use the vocabulary of the Left. The term “gender affirming” is a new and very distasteful example of semantic manipulation, applying the positive element of the word “affirming” to disguise the malignance of mutilation of children.

Here’s another POS weak white man that hopes he will get a few likes from angry Democrats

The former police and army officer said that it is long pastime automatic weapons were removed from everyday public life, on account of the rising number of mass shootings.

‘It wasn’t mental health that killed these people,’ he said. ‘It was an automatic rifle with bullets,’ he told MSNBC.

Yea because the shooter was a really good guy who was just trying to carve out a better life, when all of a sudden this AR15 jumped in his hands and made him a murderer. See without the AR15, the shooter would be going to work, supporting the trans movement and deciding which pronouns to use. It’s all the guns fault.

Yes, they want to control all classes of people under the thumb of authoritarian government. They control your food, your clothing, your medicine, doctors, life and death, what you read, what you listen to on radio, what you drink, how much water (they’re already doing that in California, they only allow like 1-3 minutes of water to shower, so basically you just get enough water to get wet, and then you’re out, don’t have time to use soap and shampoo, water price is sky high in California), how much you can, and what kind of energy you use to heat your home in the winter ( we saw how that turned out for many in Europe last winter; people going to hospital for hypothermia), your means of transportation how, when, where, and how far you can go when you travel. On and on…

Basically you are no longer free, you become a slave to Big Brother. 🫵🏻

      • Amazona May 10, 2023 / 10:16 pm

The Left no longer tries to hide its focus on controlling what people say.

The “misinformation” police, AKA Democrats, are so worried that people will be informed of accurate and honest information rather than feeding Americans lies that they are concerned Carlson will have no boundaries when it comes to telling the truth—now that he is not confined to a network’s narrative.

“Twitter was already under fire for misinformation, disinformation, all-out lies, antisemitism, racism, before Elon Musk took over, and now it’s gotten kind of crazy, right?” Stelter was asked during an interview on NBC. “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says, or is it a free-for-all?”

Yes, there is now open discussion about the fear that it might not be possible to “POLICE” what someone says. And it is clear that freedom of speech is very threatening to the Left, as the House of Representatives is bringing the heat in hearings (largely unreported by the Complicit Agenda Media) and Twitter is no longer a lapdog of the Left.

I think the most powerful people in the United States right now are James O’Keefe, Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk, because they are fearless in bringing truth to America. Former power brokers such as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are increasingly impotent as people like James Comey, Jim Jordan, Jim Banks, John Kennedy, even Marjorie Taylor Greene are backing them into corners and forcing revelations that scare the pants off them. Notice how quiet Schumer and Pelosi have become, possibly wanting to avoid having the spotlight turned on them.

The problem that the Left is now facing is that they can’t silence everyone, no matter how frantically they try.

We were lied to about the vaccine too … no surprise.

Our results revealed the accumulation of the spike protein in the skull marrow, brain meninges, and brain parenchyma. The injection of the spike protein alone caused cell death in the brain, highlighting a direct effect on brain tissue. Furthermore, we observed the presence of spike protein in the skull of deceased long after their COVID-19 infection, suggesting that the spike’s persistence may contribute to long-term neurological symptoms.

    • Amazona May 10, 2023 / 2:00 pm

When you look up the meaning of “sedition” online the so-called definitions run the gamut of saying it includes “insurrection” (which is actually a completely separate act) all the way down to basic rabble-rousing.

What I have noticed is that even the most obnoxious of the J6 defendants, those who were the most active and vocal, never expressed a plan or even a desire to destroy the government. They wanted to block one specific act of Congress, not to take over or destroy Congress. While they expressed a willingness to be violent, it was always with the express intent of protecting our Constitutional form of government. Whether they were wrong in their approach or not, I think it is important to remember that their stated end goal was not to destroy our government but to restore it to its original intent and execution. And they attempted to do this without guns or bombs, without arson, without killing people or destroying property.

On the other hand, for two years or more we saw openly anti-American forces using guns, using bombs, using arson, killing people and destroying property, with the stated goal of overturning and destroying our government. Not restoring it to its original intent but replacing it with Communism, or so their hammer-and-sickle emblems would indicate. And they crossed state lines, armed and with the same intent. Yet none of them have been charged with the same charges leveled at the J6 defendants. Why haven’t any of our vaunted “law enforcement” agencies identified and charged the people funding these acts of true insurrection, paying for transportation and lodging and food and weapons to create these mobs openly acting to overthrow our form of government?

I’ve been bouncing among three states trying to wrap up my Florida place for the summer and catch up on the explosion of spring growth in Wyoming and Colorado, and haven’t had time to do more than a quick drop-in here the other day. Poor pathetic forty and his/her sad conviction of being important to me aside, a series of 15-hour days of farrier work, landscaping and delayed vehicle maintenance just don’t leave room in my life for pathetic narcissistic whiners, so forty et al are going to have to find some other imaginary bogie man to whimper about.

A civil jury in New York City has found President Donald Trump not guilty of raping E. Jean Carroll in a department store dressing room nearly three decades ago. The jury found Trump liable for forcibly touching, sexually abusing and battery of Carroll. They also found he defamed her. Trump will be ordered to pay Carroll $5 million in damages.

Curious how someone could be charged with a crime that supposedly happened decades ago, for what would seem impossible to prove allegations, where the plaintiff hadn’t come forth at the time this was claimed to happen. I’m not saying one way or the other what happened, as I have no basis for an opinion, but I find it extremely difficult to believe there to be enough hard evidence for a jury to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt.

Attorney Roberta Kaplan, representing writer E. Jean Carroll in her claims against Trump, showed jurors video clips of Trump from his October deposition and replayed the “Access Hollywood” video from 2005 in which Trump said into a hot mic that celebrities can grab women’s genitals without asking.

This is exactly what I mean by the prosecution’s lack of evidence of an actual crime, but rather trying to draw conclusion based on a generic statement, not specific to the supposed crime. If Trump did make that statement, how can that be taken as anything other than a general personal opinion of assumptions? This is association by conjecture, not fact or hard evidence. If that’s what it takes to convict these days, justice is a scam illusion.

A lot of Jews never gave up and neither will a lot of patriots. The Democrat Party is without question, the new Third Reich and MAGA are the new Jews. The censorship and strong arm tactics are all the same but they will not prevail and long as Americans get the truth

The college, poll tested sloganeering is in full display with the Democrats new hope in the slick, hollywood produced Gavin Newsome. The meaningless, empty platitudes just roll off his tongue.

Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, on Tuesday told Fox News in a statement he did not support proposals to hand out checks to black residents as reparations. Newsom said that dealing with the legacy of slavery and discrimination is ‘about much more than cash payments.’ He told Fox News in a statement on Tuesday: ‘Many of the recommendations put forward by the Task Force are critical action items we’ve already been hard at work addressing: breaking down barriers to vote, bolstering resources to address hate, enacting sweeping law enforcement and justice reforms to build trust and safety, strengthening economic mobility – all while investing billions to root out disparities and improve equity in housing, education, healthcare, and well beyond. This work must continue.’

“Bolstering resources to address hate” ROTFLMAO. No wonder Democrats can’t get anything productive done. They have so much garbage in their head, they can’t think straight

I liked justice reforms to build trust and safety, thinking of the growing violence in Los Angeles and San Francisco in particular, while I wondered what the people in Marin County who have to drive past miles of mobile shanties along their roads think of the effort to “improve equity in housing”.

He’s clearly addressing people who don’t have to live with his malpractice in government in California

    Ruh Roh …

Biden family ‘got $1 MILLION from ROMANIA’ while Joe vowed to clean up corruption:

Comer had a great line during the presser when he said, “it wasn’t a Congressional oversight committee that uncovered Watergate, it was the media, unfortunately today we don’t have the same investigative media”

No truer words have been said …. and shortly after that statement, a media hack questioned Comer on his motives and proved his assertion.

I didn’t catch Trump on CNN tonight but I saw about three minutes of the CNN spin machine frantically rephrasing what he said to cram it into their narrative and turned it off.

Who saw it and what do you think?
