I had mentioned a few days ago the fracas over the LA Dodgers inviting, un-inviting and then re-inviting the anti-Catholic “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” to their Pride Night. There has been some developments in that and it has brought a realization to me.
The developments were Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw organizing a Christian Faith and Family Day with the Dodgers and, more directly, Nats pitcher Trevor Williams explicitly condemning the “Sisters” due to the anti-Catholic nature of the group. It was, naturally, Williams’ statement which caused the most ire as it was a direct challenge to the reigning orthodoxy in America.
I fully expected Williams’ statement to cause a lot of blowback (so did everyone else) and the Left didn’t disappoint. As Williams is devoutly Catholic, a lot of the comments harped upon the usual anti-Catholic tropes old and new but what struck me about it was that the people condemning Williams and the Church are the people most committed to transitioning minors and allowing them to be groomed for sexual abuse. Think about that: these people are in favor of deliberately and maliciously destroying lives and their attack on Williams was based upon their claim that Williams condemnation of the “Sisters” was destructive.
Supposing it was destructive, so what? All you have to do is do a bit of searching of the “Sisters” and the pics and video will be all the argument you need to convince any sane person that the “Sisters” are wicked people. I do strongly advise against such a search – you won’t be able to unsee the images and they are uniformly disgusting. Of course, Williams’ statement wasn’t destructive. It wasn’t even a call for any action against the “Sisters”…it was just a statement saying that we must not tolerate the intolerant. Williams would have condemned just as readily someone inviting the Klan. If the battle is to end hate, then why have a group committed to hatred? The “Sisters” are committed to anti-Catholic hatred. We’re not supposed to hate based on race, color, gender, orientation or religion, right?
Right.
But, wrong. The Left doesn’t mean that at all.
The whole purpose of “tolerance” and “inclusion” wasn’t to get us old fashioned Christians to make nice in the public square…it was for the anti-Christians to seize the public square and then exclude us. It was from the start a war against religion…against truth…against decency…against humanity.
They are the anti-humans. They don’t like family, faith or property. They see a neat and tidy community and their blood boils. A woman choosing to be a stay at home mom drives them nuts. They despise a man who stands up for the weak. They don’t want us traveling. Drinking. Smoking. Eating meat. Air conditioning our homes. Grilling in our backyards. They don’t want us to be friends with or marry people of different skin colors. They don’t want cross-cultural social exchanges. They hate our heroes. They loath our history. They, in short, hate everything which makes humanity human.
To be sure, they do have an idea that once they have destroyed all human attachments and desires they’ll be able to rebuild us into something better. They even still give a bit of lip service to that ideal. But I doubt any of them really believe it. They just want us to suffer. Not them, of course; they’re too smart to suffer. Also, they know what’s best for you, so they’ll need their lavish lifestyle to help them build us into something better. But, you? You’re pretty much hopeless…so eat your bug paste and shut up.
But whether they believe it or not, we know it is a pipe dream. Humans are human; they want a bit of a place they can call their own. They want a family of mom, dad and the kids, not some random collection of weirdos pretending to be a family. They want to take that trip to Hawaii and have a steak off the grill. Have a drink. Smoke that cigar. Be human. And any attempt to turn us into a hive of social units living off credits provided based on our social credit score is doomed to failure.
But they are still going to try and right now they stand triumphant. I fully expect quite a lot of pressure on Williams to recant his heresy. We’ll see how strong he is – but if he caves don’t be too ready to condemn him. A lot of pressure will be forthcoming. They will seek to destroy anyone who questions their worldview…all the while holding up as heroes those who are expressly rejecting human sanity. It is deliberate and it is malicious: it is designed to destroy.
What we must do – aside from pray, hope and don’t worry – is work for the power to remove these people from power. I’m not talking about just winning an election and replacing Tweedledee with a slightly conservative Tweedledum…I’m talking about forcing them out of all institutions. Taking away all their money. Reducing them to complete social, economic and political impotence. Here’s the thing – the more we push back, the less social territory they control, the more they’ll be exposed as ultimately a tiny minority of kooks who just happened to get control of the institutions. Even most Left voters don’t fully understand what is being done in their name…so just a few small cracks in the edifice which allows people to stand up against it and very rapidly it will all fall apart.
And then we can just be human, again.
IMHO, teachers and teacher unions have done more damage to this country than almost any other single entity, and that’s where the reform needs to begin. Teachers have methodically dumbed down and weaponized a generation, if not two generations now. America currently has corporate and political leadership that has risen up through an inferior educational system that indoctrinated them in leftist dogma crap and this country is paying the price as these weaponized, propaganda fueled morons who are now in positions to do some real damage. Case in point … Target. Here is a description of Targets DEI executive, and if you understand what this means, please let me know because I have no clue.
A dedicated diversity advocate who sparks, inspires and challenges the lens in which we view and practice diversity, so we can all grow the circle together with shared accountability and responsibility.’
Additionally, here is a statement from the DEI executive …
‘One of the hardest things in the world to be every day is Black.
Now keep in mind, she’s been with Target for 22 years, and has a comfortable 6 digit salary … BUT she’s oppressed. Meanwhile, Target has lost over $12 billion in market value in the last 14 days. I’m thinking with more diversity, Target will be bankrupt soon

It is time … to move on to the younger generation. I have come to the realization that unfortunately, the Propaganda Media and the corrupt Democrats have done so much public damage to Trump that I don’t believe he can win a general election. Additionally, I think the relentless and unwarranted attacks on him has severely bruised his inflated ego to the point, he can no longer effectively govern. His recent outburst towards Kayliegh McNany was completely unwarranted and I am sure, turned the stomach of many conservatives, me included. I am still mad as hell though that the most effective conservative President in my life time was cut short by corrupt people who willingly lie without shame or recourse.
The time has come to move on and fortunately, conservatives have a great backup who is ready to go. And it will be fun watching those Democrats and those in the media, who have obsessed over Trump the last 7 years, try to switch gears and start to demonize someone else. Additionally, conservatives have a great young bench while the Democrats still rely on mentally challenged grandmas and grandpas to get things done.
The contrast that conservatives can offer in 2024 is just too good to pass up. Youth vs Geriatric, Competence vs Incompetence, Americans vs Globalists, Capitalists vs Socialists, Vibrant vs Weak, etc., etc.
MAGA is now DeSantis !!! #DeSantis2024 I’m all in.
I like a DeSantis/Noem ticket. Young dynamic governors with good records. She appeared to stumble on her stance on transgender athletes but her explanation made sense, she protected the state and its athletes and came back strong. The ticket would represent the South and Southeast, geographically, as well as most of the West/Great Plains.
That could be a very good ticket and just think of the contrast between Kristi Noem and Kamala Harris lol. I might actually be embarrassed for Kamala.
Though I’m sure Trump wouldn’t want the VP spot if DeSantis were to win the nomination, but imagine Trump as VP. Lately the President has picked a VP that no one wants a president, so it’s sort of a safety net against a potential assassination attempt. With Trump as VP he could save DeSantis some of the typical early learning curves and send the left into a mental breakdown like never seen before.
I still wouldn’t count him out.
If Trump could set his ego aside, which is unlikely, I think he would realize that his candidacy will continue to be relentlessly attacked, legally and otherwise, and will hurt down ballot candidates and further splinter the GOP. At this point, Trump needs to be the king maker rather than the king, and just think at how he could galvanize conservatives by endorsing DeSantis. That would unite 95% of the GOP and we would win. Because that’s really all that matters at this point … winning.
Which is why under his Presidency there were no wars, a more secure border, energy independence, and punitive tariffs on China. Additionally, Trump never took showers with his daughter, nor did he raise a drug addicted son, so that’s definitely a narcissistic sociopath that I can get behind.
How about Trump as Speaker of the House? You don’t have to be a Representative to be Speaker, it’s a position of power with a lot of influence and a place where his negotiating skills would shine.
Not to mention the number of Dem heads exploding.

I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near a major city in California when it does. Blacks rioted, burned, looted and killed people when a 5-time convicted criminal and drug addict was killed by police. What do you think they’ll do when they don’t get their multi-million dollar lottery payout?
There’s a stereotypical racial term I could use here … the second word is rich but I’ll refrain.
And it wont be contained to CA. Rep. Cori Bush is enflaming ungrateful black people all across the country calling for $14 trillion in reparations. And here’s a fact the American media will never tell you … most black Americans came to this country well after the Civil War, have zero connection to slavery, and are graduating college in growing numbers …

Quite the story here … and remember yesterday Comer looked at the 1023 form that the FBI is covering up, and said that it shows a $5 million payment to the Bidens from an adversarial country that is not Romania, Ukraine, China, or Russia. Comer said that this country is far worse.
There were deals all over the world with foreign figures worth millions and some of these figures had close ties to foreign intelligence or regimes.
As revealed recently by the House Oversight Committee, the Bidens constructed a labyrinth of corporations and accounts to transfer millions from these deals to a variety of Biden family members, including grandchildren.
The illegitimate POTUS and his family are guilty of treason.
It’s good we’re still allowed to laugh.
LOL. Biden is a complete loser, I’m so embarrassed for this country.
It’s hard to wrap your head around how corrupt the FBI is … and it’s all because of Obama.
Chairman James Comer: He offered us the opportunity to come look at it in a private SKIF but he was going to redact it. My experience with getting documents from the FBI, when they’re redacted it’s all black lines. They don’t show you anything. But I’m going to say on this show. What we told Director Ray, what Senator Grassley told Director Ray, is he and I have already seen the 1023 form. We knew what was in the 1023 form. Until we told Director Ray that he never even admitted that the form existed.
So the level of confidence that we have with Director Wray only went down, it only declined throughout the conversation. So we will go there and look at the Redacted document but we know what’s in the document and the reason we find this allegation credible not only because of the credibility of the whistleblower but because we’ve seen a pattern of Joe Biden when he was vice president, leaving a country after he talks about foreign aid and foreign policy and his family members start receiving payments from that company through shell companies that are then laundered down to Biden family members. So there is a pattern of behavior and we saw that in Romania, we’ve seen that in China, we’ve seen that in other countries that would suggest that this allegation has merit. Look, the Durham report proved that the FBI has lots of issues. We brought that up.
Senator Grassley and I reminded Director Ray that the Durham report was devastating to the credibility of the FBI and his response was that that all happened before he became FBI director. Director Ray, to be clear, will now face contempt of Congress unless he produces this document like we asked this unclassified document by Tuesday or Wednesday whenever we have the markup.
There ought to be some mechanism whereby those who are tasked with upholding the law, but who, instead, break or obstruct the law can be arrested, indicted, and prosecuted.
Or we could just make the oath of office binding and include a commitment to uphold the law as well as protect and defend the Constitution. Then it would not be necessary to arrest, indict or try someone who was blatantly violating his or her oath. Proof of such violation would often be indisputable, as in the cases of DAs refusing to prosecute or judges ruling in contradiction to the law or the Constitution or officials refusing to support immigration laws and declaring sanctuary cities or states.
Yes, this could be abused. Name a law that can’t. and isn’t. And yes, there would have to be a deciding entity of some sort. But I contend that even the existence of such a law would have a chilling effect on anyone who wants to gain office and then abuse that power, because violation of the oath would result in losing the position and all its benefits.
Major offenses could still be prosecuted as crimes, but the more immediate solution of removing the person from office would, I believe, make the choice to violate the oath much more challenging.
One would hope that following 3 years of Covid crap, Americans would no longer trust Big Pharma. I know I don’t. And I can almost guarantee you that the mass shootings, and other societal chaos, is largely attributable to Big Pharma

I happened to be driving through Denver yesterday morning (that is, I happened to be stuck in traffic yesterday morning) and caught the Glenn Beck show on the radio, and strongly recommend looking it up on You Tube. He discussed the money laundering of the pharma/government collusion, among other things, and hit on some really important issues with lots of information.
The guy I like more and more every day is … Rep. Byron Donalds from Florida. Keep an eye on him.
Florida, Florida…maybe it’s something in the water? (Not counting alligators.)
It might be a chicken/egg conundrum. Does the political atmosphere of Florida encourage people like DeSantis and Donalds to flourish, or do the DeSantises and the Donaldses help create the political atmosphere of Florida?
Well they’re certainly not coming out of AZ lol

Funny comment on Mike Pence’s poll numbers:
Kasich voters have to go somewhere.
The funny thing is that Pence was one of the most active and loyal VPs in recent memory. He was my governor, and I feel qualified in saying he was not a particularly great governor. I was mildly surprised when Trump picked him as his running mate, but I’ve never heard anyone argue that he wasn’t a decent Vice President. Regardless of how you feel about his actions on January 6th, 2021, he did what the Constitution demanded and no more, and therein lies one of the basic differences between Republicans and Democrats: Republicans take things literally, and Democrats read between the lines. If the Constitution doesn’t specifically spell out that a particular action CAN’T be taken, ie., reject Electoral College ballots from states where the certification was in question, Republicans err on the side of caution. On the flip side, Democrats look at the same sort of situation, and say, “if the Constitution doesn’t specifically forbid it, it’s fair game.
Now, all that said, I don’t think Mike Pence would make a good President. He’s always been a follower, almost never a leader.
As you probably remember, I was a huge Pence fan, but I paid attention when you talked to me about the job he was doing as governor of Indiana. It sounded like basically he held the line—didn’t do any harm, but didn’t accomplish much. And I think that is a pretty good description of him as VP. But he showed a lack of leadership on January 6. Even if he had researched the scope of his authority and firmly believed it did not extend to a temporary halt to the confirmation process, he could have spoken to Congress about the problems that prompted the protests, he could have appealed to Congress, he could have done something but tuck his tail between his legs.
It does appear that he had no authority to do anything but rubber stamp what was given to him, but he handled it badly, being meek and fearful.
The problem is that, while the Founders usually had things pretty well figured out, they dropped the ball on this certification process, because they distinctly limit the authority of anyone to do anything once the states have spoken, This is actually quite consistent with the Founders’ approach to keeping as much authority as possible in the states, and it seems they didn’t want to give Congress the ability to override the states, but they didn’t seem to consider the possibility of fraudulent certification at the state level.
So when it comes to Pence, I think he’s weak and unimpressive and am surprised he even considered running. When it comes to certification, I think the individual states need to address this. I’ve read the rules for a couple of states and there is no consistency here. It looks like any state legislature can write laws about the certification process, including the requirement that there must be a reasonable certainty that the vote count is accurate—even give an acceptable range of accuracy—-before “certifying” it.
A Navy spokesman just admitted to a shift in the mission statement of the Navy, though he might not quite realize this. Regarding the Navy’s sudden removal of some Pride posts on social media, s/he said this:
The US Navy posted graphics in support of the start of Pride month to honor the service, commitment, and sacrifice of the LGBTQ+ Service members and personnel who volunteer to defend our country. As we do with all Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) observance months, we will look for additional opportunities to celebrate the diversity and strength of our Sailors. Members of the LGBTQ+ community serve their country, fully contribute to the DoD mission, and deserve a welcoming environment which enables them to reach their full potential.
So now the United States Navy has assumed the responsibility of providing “a welcoming environment” for people with gender dysphoria, so it can “enable them to reach their full potential”. That is so sweet.
Humph. And here I thought the purpose and assumed mission statement of the United States Navy was to train a fighting force of men and women who could effectively defend the country I guess that’s OldThink, as now the service seems to be recast as a social engineering construct with the purpose of making some people feel good about themselves, so they can “reach their full potential”.
Mark and Spook, you were in the Navy. Did any of your training officers look for additional opportunities to celebrate your specialness and make sure you had a “welcoming environment”? Did they express their commitment to making sure they were doing everything possible to help you “reach your full potential”?
Something about this mealy-mouthed murmuring of the need for the Navy to give special attention to people based on their personal perceptions of their personal sexuality makes me envision a training facility with nontoxic glue pots and rounded-end scissors and lots of bright construction paper signs on the walls saying things like “You are special”.
Don’t get me wrong. I think Bob can function perfectly well on the flight line of a carrier deck even if he prefers to be called Bobbi with a little heart over the “i” but only if that is the only thing that makes him different, not if he gets special treatment for this quirk, not if the entire freaking Navy is dedicated to “celebrating” this and shaping itself to validate and reward his delusions.
I always thought that one purpose of basic training was to reduce the importance of things that emphasize the individuality of the recruits,, so they can then be molded into a more cohesive unit. The idea that diverse people can join the Navy (or any military service) with the anticipation and even purpose of having personal differences emphasized, “celebrated” and used as the basis for praise and special treatment just seems antithetical to what was once the goal of creating a uniform fighting unit with the primary identity of American sailor (or soldier or Marine). Personal and personality identifiers were to be secondary, at best, as far as the service was concerned.
The analogy seems to fit that of assimilation into this country—where it was once a melting pot, where different nations and cultures merged to become American, now it is more of a salad bowl, with each culture and national identity separate even if sharing the same town or state. So instead of responding to the query “What are you?” the answer would not be “I am a sailor, sir” but “I am a non-binary transsexual, sir”.
It seems not just wrong, but stupid.
So while a unit might include a rodeo cowboy and a small engine mechanic and an English major and a sign painter, these were subsumed, as far as the military service was concerned, into the core identity of the service.
Again, it’s hard to believe the damage Teachers have done to this country, and that’s exactly what this is. America has two generations of ignorant, narcissistic, emotionally weaponized boys and girls who somehow think they are the first generation to ever suffer hardships. And their belligerence is what is destroying this country
I’ve never gone through boot camp or basic training but I’ve known men who have, a female friend from high school did, and I have read and seen movie portrayals of the process. As all the accounts are essentially similar, I have to believe they are accurate.
And none of them have involved the huggy-kissy/hand-holding/affirmation-of-specialness/comforting-of-emotional-distress that is conveyed by these smug mealy-mouthed declarations not just of the purpose of the Navy but of the moral superiority it illustrates.
My understanding of the process is that its purpose, in addition to building physical strength and agility, is to strip away the superficial aspects of identity such as jock, smart-ass, nerd, etc. to get down to the core of the recruit, to create a scaffolding, so to speak, upon which a fighting man or woman can be built. And then personal identity is second to military identity, and the relative uniformity of the resulting personnel means they are nearly interchangeable. If one falls, they can plug in another one. And the entire military machine is like that. That’s why physical issues that demand specialized clothing or equipment, such as special boots to accommodate bone spurs, disqualify people from service. The trained soldier, sailor, airman or marine has to fit into a standard uniform, standard footwear, standard helmets, even standard bunks.
And here the Navy appears to be saying that people whose psych profiles would have disqualified them from service not so long ago are now being actively recruited FOR those same psych characteristics, and will be treated differently than normal recruits because they need special treatment to “help them reach their full potential”. If the Navy had gone on to at least claim the goal was to reach the full potential as a sailor, that might be less concerning, but it sounds like it is to reach their full potential as transsexual people.
And, of course, to preen in imagined moral superiority.
LOL – no.
My introduction to the Navy, at 3:30am the morning after I was sworn in, was a Chief Petty Officer kicking a steel trashcan down the length of the berthing area and vigorously suggesting that it was time we all got up.
Thirty minutes later we were eating breakfast.
And then the day began!
It was all sunshine an lollipops, of course…we didn’t have to run in formation like the Marines did.
The thing about affirmation – whether in school, the military or the corporate world – is that it doesn’t challenge. It doesn’t build; it accepts. But to achieve, one must build.
When the USS Bonhomme Richard was set afire at the dock in San Diego it does not appear that the crew knew what to do. Stipulating that it does appear the arsonist sabotaged some aspects of damage control aboard before setting the fire, the plain fact of the matter is that in a combat situation some aspects of damage control may be destroyed and so can’t be used. The crew is supposed to be trained to improvise. I was literally instructed that if I had nothing else the plug a hole with, use a corpse; it was assumed one or more would be available if a large hole had been knocked into the side. Do something, anything to stop the leak or extinguish the fire. I was aboard a warship and every warship has a mission to perform and until ordered to abandon ship, the duty is to fight the ship to the best of her capabilities.
To be sure, I never faced the crisis. I do not know how I would have behaved if, say, my ship was sinking and/or afire. Each of us respond to crisis in our own way. More than likely, however, training would have kicked in – I would have seen the fire and used the tools and training I had to fight it. That crew was untrained…and by the time they could get anyone trained to the ship, it was a total write-off. They were lucky they were docked…had they been at sea, it would have been a catastrophe.
And you see it elsewhere – ships which streaks of rust down the side. Weather decks not properly surfaced (this could easily cost a life in rough weather). Sailors out of shape and wearing those ridiculous new uniforms they have any way they want. They aren’t sailors. They are just employees punching their ticket in a corporate environment. And my bet is that none of them, officer or enlisted, have ever once been challenged.
What you describe as being expected of you is dependent on you and all your fellow sailors being equally trained, so you wouldn’t have to have someone be appointed to explain everything to them. That means everyone is treated the same, to create basically the same warrior.
I fear you are right when you say, of what you see today, They aren’t sailors. They are just employees punching their ticket in a corporate environment. But they have had their personal delusions validated and they can feel confident that the Navy is dedicated to helping them realize their full potential—not as sailors, but as transsexual humans who believe they can choose their gender.
