That is the town hall of Limoges, France in flames – set on fire by foreign barbarians and their Leftist French allies. A magnificent building that the savages and Leftists could never build, destroyed in a day as a means of spitting on France and the West. It is, in the end – and as it has always been – fight or die. Keep in mind that when Alaric appeared before the walls of Rome in 408 AD, there were close to a million people living in the city. Far more military manpower than the barbarians could ever hope to deploy…and the Romans just let the barbarians in and suffered having their women raped, their men killed and the stored wealth of a thousand years stolen. The French – if there are any French – can stop this in a week. All they have to do is start shooting.
I’ve written before about what a disaster the surrender in Algeria was in 1962 – with the dismay over it doubled as it was engineered by De Gaulle who damned well knew better. He bought France a short period of peace but at the price of now finding the battle in their own cities. He looked around France and the world in 1958 and calculated that if he scuttled part of France – and Algeria was an integral part of France – he could cut a great figure on the world stage and make up for it by thumbing his nose at the Anglo-American alliance in a bid to make it look like France was a free agent. I guess it can be partially forgiven…after all, we were helping to scuttle French Algeria. But a man with a true measure of the needs of his nation and his civilization wouldn’t have retreated – he would have said that the future of Algeria cannot be dictated by barbarians.
By the time De Gaulle came to lead France, the war in Algeria was already four years old…and it had been largely won by the French military and the people of Algeria (which included huge numbers of Muslim Algerians who wanted nothing to do with the beasts running the Front de libération nationale; cruel, wicked men who lived for the chance to be cruel). But the FLN savages knew what to do – go on rampages of rape, torture and murder amongst defenseless people, wait for the French reaction and then count on the French Left to make the issue not FLN savagery, but French military response. In the end, all De Gaulle did was help the FLN to power…and now the grandsons of the FLN are burning Limoges.
Never, ever, ever make a deal with barbarians. People who use rape and murder as a means of warfare are to be hunted to death, not asked to form a government.
France now truly stands at the crossroads – if it wants to remain French, it is going to have to kill the enemies of France. Without regret and without remorse. Kill until the savages give up and agree to exile from France. Leftists, too. No political system can survive if it carries within it people who will ally with foreigners to destroy the system. We’ll see if there is any courage in France – because anything less than an exceptionally violent response is a death knell for France. Even if they paper it over and bribe the barbarians to a temporary truce, France will die if the barbarians and Leftists remain.
And let this be a lesson for us – these French Leftists and foreign savages have been coddled by the Republic. Money and forbearance has been poured out on them and this is their answer: burning buildings, looting shops, spitting on France. This is what the American Left and our domestic Islamists want as well – they, too, hate this country and live for the day when they can burn it down. Doesn’t matter that the Islamists will butcher the Leftists…neither side even cares about that prospect at the moment. They are unified by what they hate: us. America. Every decent impulse in the world. We are not backs to the wall like the French…but we will be if we left the Left – in the form of the Democrat party – back into power.
