Polls as late as a week ago had Likud getting as few as 18 seats in the Israeli elections. Kalshi had Netanyahu at a 16% chance of returning. Exit polls as the polls closed showed Netanyahu defeated. The reality? 28 Likud seats as of this moment and the consensus is the most likely Prime Minister remains Netanyahu. We’ll see how that shakes out, of course – still a lot of votes to actually count. Israel is also famous for very factional politics with alliances shifting like sand. But the bottom line is that the polls, Kalshi and the exit polls were lies. Not mistakes. Lies. Bald faced, egregious lies designed to obtain a certain result…in this case to demoralize Netanyahu’s coalition in hopes that a surrender caucus of some sort would emerge in charge…some Left-infected group which would figure that just a bit more Israeli surrender would stop the Palestinians from wanting to murder every single Jew in Israel.
Just keep that in mind in this last week before our elections. Also, try to remember how you felt a week out from 2024 – I’ll bet you were nervous. I was. And I had long ago figured them all for liars…but even I wasn’t immune to the relentless barrage of lies. They were so pervasive that they sink into everyone. The Communists learned this a long time ago…just keep lying and lying and lying and never telling anyone even remotely what is going on or what people are thinking. Even the stoutest heart and the most independent mind is caught up in them…as for the mentally weak…well, they’re going to vote Democrat. We don’t know what will happen – but, guys, we’ve already won.
As Kurt Schlichter points out, we’re forever rid of Cormyn, Thillis, Massie, Bacon and Cassidy. Oh, sure, we’ve got a few left in our ranks, but we’re rapidly disinfecting ourselves from the RINOs. The Democrats who only ever ran as Republicans because voter registration showed that was the path to power and to the gravy train…and the means to backstab the base at every opportunity. They’re gone. Even if we’re in the Congressional minority come January, the caucus that represents us will fight a heck of a lot harder against the Democrat than any previous GOP caucus. We won’t have but one or two who will on “principle” vote in favor of the Democrats next clown show impeachment. And this much stronger party will head towards 2028 far more united and willing to battle it out.
But, side note, I don’t think we’re going to lose.
Brazilian patriot Flavio Bolsonaro has obtained asylum inside the United States. The Left in Brazil clearly cheated the Communist tyrant Lula into another term – like our 2020 election, there is just no mathematical way he got as many votes as claimed. And, also like ours, there was gross chicanery in the fact that Lula’s judicial poodle ordered voting extended hours after the polls were supposed to be closed and the ballot boxes all sealed…that is, there was no legal way for anyone to vote by the time the judicial order came down…and all the extra votes poured in from areas controlled by the Brazilian Left.
We’ll have to see how all this plays out, but it looks like we might have to “Maduro” the Lula regime.
The Royal Sonesta is a first rate hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon. I looked at some pictures – it really is quite a fabulous place. Probably, in normal times, way outside my price range. In 2016 it was purchased for a bit more than $108 million. It just sold again for just over $6.8 million. A 93% decline. Why? Because Portland is now a third world garbage dump of crime, drugs and commies. This is what the Left does – it hates and so it destroys. Nobody who destroyed Portland cares that it is destroyed – they are still able to siphon money off the city…to get paid for not working. And being Leftists they have no idea of what beauty is so living in a dump doesn’t seem so bad.
But most of us aren’t Leftists. As I’ve said for some time now, the Constitution requires the federal government to ensure each State has a republican form of government…I am ever more of the opinion – because no free and fair election could result in a government that destroys the political entity it rules – that the Leftist States and localities do not have such form of government. We might eventually have to brace ourselves to reduce the deep blue States to territorial status and create new governments actually responsive to the electorate.

OR – we could just eliminate all federal funds and let them wallow in their squalor. And people who really don’t want to live in such places can vote with their feet. If all the blue areas of the country had just recently been taken over by Leftists, I could see rescuing them, but most Democrat-controlled cities and states have been that way for at least two or three generations. Anyone who lives there is likely doing so by choice.
I think that reducing the ability of the Left to consolidate power will be all we need. Well, that and drastically reducing the scope of Leftist propaganda or at least drowning it out with our own.
I have been saying for years, loudly and repeatedly, that until the Right learns from the Left about messaging and applies that new knowledge with a voice, we will never be able to deal with them.
We’ve got the ability, we just don’t have the focus. Look at the impact of one billionaire and his focus on opening up balanced dialogue. We would not be where we are today if it were not for the courage and foresight of Elon Musk and his acquisition of Twitter. Yet the Right has not marshalled the power if its own billionaires to buy an alphabet network outlet, even when one has been in financial distress and sending out signals of possibly being opening to a buyout. We’ve got untapped creative potential with writers, producers, actors, all ready to participate in media presentations of our own “propaganda”.
An example: I just bought a book for the 12-year-old son of a friend, an old favorite named “Johnny Tremain”. I think it may have sparked my interest in the Revolutionary War. Evidently it was once made into a movie, which I have not seen, but a modern version true to the book and starring the young personalities so attractive to whatever “Gen” this is could be a powerful tool. The “Hunger Games” series could have been, but I don’t think the adults followed up to point out the lessons inherent in the tyranny and consolidation of power and oppression of the masses, so it ended up just being entertainment. The series was packed with allegories and lessons but they needed to be pointed out to kids not used to analyzing media for hidden meaning. Maybe some youngsters connected the dots, but we didn’t help.
It’s one thing to give our kids heroes, but we need to explain what makes them heroes.
We are in an era where graphics are essential for communication, but we just sit by, feebly flapping our wrists and fretting about the successes of the Left without learning a damned thing about why their strategies work. So we think we are making some important points by posting clips of Rubio making brilliant arguments, while the Left does movies and TV shows and panel shows and stand-up comedians, understanding and playing on the power of visual content and messaging.
The stereotype of “bread and circuses” has never been more appropriate. “Bread” = gas prices and “circuses” = media dominance and there you have a summary of what it takes to impress Dem voters. Sure, cheating at the ballot box is important, but really all it does is provide support for nonstop grievance against the Right as we mumble our objections.
Getting into media is going to be decisive long term – control the culture, control everything. There’s this oft repeated meme out there which goes along the lines of “how can people who watched Family Guy be so Leftist” or words to that effect…well, because in Family Guy, as in all “edgy” shows, America is always racist, white people are always stupid, religion is always malevolent, black people are always wise, gay people are always smart…in other words, they are just more Leftist propaganda and never attack any Leftist belief. Because they can’t – they don’t have permission.
I do hope that Musk follows up on it – he seems to understand and, even better, is rapidly coming to realize that his personal survival is dependent upon destroying the Left.
