John Kerry, Liberal Fascist

From Pajamas Media:

Sen. John Kerry (D-Hanoi) must be really worried about how badly the Democrats are losing the argument on government spending. He took to MSNBC to goad the media into censoring the opinions and statements of people with whom he disagrees (and who happen to have the facts on their side). The irony of his having made such an argument on an openly ideological network seems to have been lost on Sen. Kerry.

SEN. JOHN KERRY: “And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.”…

Translation – if you MSMers know what’s good for you, you’ll stop allowing any dissenting voices to appear.  We can’t have those hicks and bitter clingers out there getting their views across.  Don’t you realize that we Democrats could be crushed next year if the truth keeps coming out?

Its not like Kerry has been a tribune of truth, you know?  He is the guy, after all, who did say our brave men and women in Vietnam were acting like Genghis Khan…so, slanders have fallen easily from his lips.  And, at any event, shouldn’t it be up to the people to listen to all voices and decide for themselves who is right?

Not to our liberals, it would seem…because if the people hear differing opinions, then they are sure to reject the liberal view.

Thank God this a’hole wasn’t elected President. It appears the only kind of dissent the Left will permit is a debate about spending more or spending A LOT MORE. When the sh*t hits the fan, it is really going to suck to be a Progressive in the country.

more fear mongering from a fear monger.

nothing to see here folks…move right along.

      • tiredoflibbs August 5, 2011 / 4:26 pm

I am sure when obAMATEUR is defeated and the Democrats are the party out of power, tommy-boy will be here to denounce their continued fear mongering! – to be consistent with his reasoning for exception.

NOT! He will be whining right along with said Democrats.

As the world burns my friends, as the world burns. I wonder if Thomas and mitch think they will be one of the masters when the crash come?

    • thomasg0102 August 5, 2011 / 4:09 pm

what are you babbling about? masters of who? or what?

what crash? economic? have you seen our bond rating and borrowing rates the last few days? investors are BEGGING us to allow them to buy our debt.

you can’t possible be this naive and blind can you?

I want you to tell me what slave/master relationship you’re talking about.

      • Green Mountain Boy August 5, 2011 / 4:15 pm

You are so easy. I wonder Thomas, if you have any real friends? Don’t bother telling me. I can predict your response already. For somebody that claims to so smart you are awfully ignorant.
Please add me to that list of posters you dispise. Some good company there. Neo, Spook, Jeremiah. Yes good company indeed.

      • thomasg0102 August 5, 2011 / 4:18 pm

why can’t you answer the question?

you always dodge and play the victim card along with accusing others of things you probably are yourself. PROJECTING.

just answer the question soldier. It’s not that hard. Who are the masters? what crash?

        simple enough for you?

      • Green Mountain Boy August 5, 2011 / 4:28 pm

Of coarse I could answer the question. If you are as smart as you claim you are you should be able to answer it for yourself.
Did you add me to list yet?

      • thomasg0102 August 5, 2011 / 4:34 pm

you obviously like to be the victim.

so you’re not going to answer the question? no matter how smart I am, I don’t want to presuppose your answer unless I absolutely have to.

      • neocon1 August 5, 2011 / 4:40 pm

the loud mouth, never was, BOY cant.
funny to watch him dance though…the movie the JERK comes to mind for ole timmygasbagger

      • Green Mountain Boy August 5, 2011 / 5:08 pm

This could go on and on and on. But I will stop it here. For someone who cliams to be so damned smart you need a lot explained to you. Go back through the archives and look for yourself.
It started under the name you are kind of using now with something called the sampson option and proceeded to other subjects. You have regularly admonish myself and others to “educate our selfs”
You tell me what I was talking about. If you can not I would suggest you go “educate” youself.

  4. Sunny August 5, 2011 / 5:17 pm

Really, that is what John Kerry said? I would never understood his words had you not translated.

    • Retired Spook August 5, 2011 / 7:47 pm

You “would never understood”, eh, Velma? Too funny!

    • tiredoflibbs August 6, 2011 / 10:22 am

dreggs, are you upset with the losses on Wall Street and your 401k because of the shenanigans the Democrats pulled when REAL spending cuts were required to avoid our credit rating to be downgraded?

Or, are you going to continue to blame Bush?

obAMATEUR’s spending policies and inability to create a budget, which has outpaced any prior administration GOP or Democrat, are the sole blame for this debacle.

But, of course dreggs, you won’t face facts, just continue to regurgitate your dumbed down talking points.

      • Bodie August 6, 2011 / 12:28 pm

You know, tired, David Frum has an interesting question for you and your ilk: You say Obama’s policies are responsible for this debacle…Which policies?

Surely you’re smarter than that turncoat RINO Frum, right? You can read his article and swiftly rebut it with plenty of examples of Obama policies that are having such dire effects, right? You won’t just vomit up your usual talking points and call that “proof,” will you?

      • tiredoflibbs August 6, 2011 / 10:09 pm

wow, jeffy (once Monty, once CMBurns, now Bodie) you again demonstration your reading incomprehension.

You cite an article defending obAMATEUR’s policies with regard to the economic problems we are STILL facing (problems that were supposed to be fixed or countered by those policies – they were not). While I blame his policies for the downgrading of our credit rating.

Apples to oranges, there sport. Thanks for playing.

      • Bodie August 7, 2011 / 1:31 pm

Typical cowardice. Just admit that you can’t name any policies because you’ve just been brainlessly mouthing talking points. You won’t be saying anything everybody doesn’t already know, so you may as well just admit to reality. Or is that too much of a challenge for you?

      • FU August 7, 2011 / 6:24 pm

Why can’t you admit you screwed the pooch on the challenge by asking a question completely unrelated to what I stated?

You expect me to defend my position against an opinion piece you provide totally unrelated to what I said.

Typical for a drone to try and change the subject away from a position you can’t defend.

Again, you were speaking of the poor economy while I was speaking of our credit rating being downgraded – apples and oranges. I am not going to play question and answer with you where you continuously move the goalposts.

        Don’t bother, drone.

      • Bodie August 7, 2011 / 10:54 pm

A new name won’t paper over your cowardice, tired. Do you or do you not believe that Obama is responsible for our economic trouble? Of course you do; but when challenged to name any actual policies responsible…well, you run away like a wuss. No matter what online handle you give yourself, you will always be a coward.

      • tiredoflibbs August 8, 2011 / 6:49 am

Again, jeffy, why should I defend an argument which I NEVER made?

Just so you can derail my original point?

Your pResident screwed up our credit rating with his massive spending policies and of course, it has affected the stock market causing dreggs’ 401k to take some hits. She was so bent out of shape when her 401k took a hit during Bush. I was wondering if she was going to attack obAMATEUR for her losses now.

Care to defend that one, since that was my original point?

Of course not. You need to distract away from the oringinal non-defensible point.

As far as the name posted under, I thought I was logged in. Apparently, I was not, I don’t know where that one came from. But, I haven’t had several name changes as you have to avoid being recognized as the typical liberal imbecile drone.

      • Bodie August 8, 2011 / 10:53 am

So you don’t believe that the president is responsible for our economic woes?

Or you do believe so, but you can’t find any evidence to support your belief?

Come on, now, tired, these aren’t hard questions in the slightest; why are you so afraid of them, little man?

      • tiredoflibbs August 8, 2011 / 12:53 pm

Why are you so desperately trying to change the subject of my point and are afraid to refute mine?

I made a point. You have not refuted it, but made a pitiful attempt at deflecting from it.

Can you refute it or not? Obviously NOT, since you keep dodging.

Again, thanks for playing and failing as usual.

      • tiredoflibbs August 8, 2011 / 12:55 pm

Thank you jeffy for agreeing that obAMATEUR’s policies are responsible for our credit being downgraded.

Two can play that little word game you use to desperately change the subject.

Why are you so afraid to stick your neck out? Haven’t received your tweets from the White House yet???

      • Bodie August 8, 2011 / 3:22 pm

And your streak of failure continues. Is your complete lack of guts (and shame, for that matter) something you were born with? Even very, very easy questions have you too terrified to answer; I wonder if this is learned behavior on your part or something you simply can’t help.

Oh, and by the way, S&P explicitly named the GOP’s behavior as the reason for the downgrade. There’s another fact for you to flee from in abject terror. You really are a walking calamity, aren’t you?

      • tiredoflibbs August 8, 2011 / 7:48 pm

Again, the empty suit known as Bodie, or Monty, or jeffy or whatever, runs away – too scared to address my point while demanding that I change mine.

You can’t defend the indefensible, jeffy. Your gutless wonder of a pResident (it is obvious why you are just like him) is the cause for the downgrade and you can’t stand the fact that you have no defense.

Do keep trying to change the subject! It shows what a mental midget you are. To be fair, I should not ask you to defend the obAMATEUR, 95% of your brainpower is needed for complicated tasks, such as breathing and blinking.

jeffy continues the lies (or he likes to call them half-truths):

“Oh, and by the way, S&P explicitly named the GOP’s behavior as the reason for the downgrade.”

Uh, let’s be honest here, if you are going to lie at least try to disguise it. They named the GOP behavior for not agreeing to tax increases, but GAVE MORE WEIGHT TO THE FACT THAT THE PRESIDENT AND THE DEMOCRATS WERE UNWILLING TO REDUCE (REAL REDUCTIONS IN) SPENDING.

“The decision by Standard & Poor’s to downgrade the U.S. credit rating to “AA+” at once laments the possibility that cuts to entitlement programs will not materialize and the decreasing likelihood of new tax revenues. BUT IT APPEARS TO GIVE MORE WEIGHT TO THE NEED FOR MORE SPENDING CUTS, AS IT WARNS THAT A FURTHER CREDIT RATING DOWNGRADE IS IN THE CARDS IF THE U.S. DOES NOT TRIM SPENDING.”

“In addition, the plan envisions only minor policy changes on Medicare and little CHANGE IN OTHER ENTITLEMENTS, the CONTAINMENT OF WHICH WE and MOST OTHER INDEPENDENT OBSERVERS regard AS KEY TO LONG-TERM FISCAL SUSTAINABILITY.”

Damn! Your lack of reading comprehension and possession of complete ignorance are your downfalls AGAIN!

FACTS are a bitch and YOU DON’T HAVE ANY, just spun lies and dumbed down talking points.

Do you want to keep playing or are you getting tired of being bitch-slapped all the time????

      • Bodie August 8, 2011 / 8:03 pm

I’m just asking a very, very easy question, tired. You’re the one who is too frightened to answer it. Now, it’s understandable why you’re too frightened–you’re just a massive pile of failure, and you seem powerless to change that–but your fear is not my fault no matter how much you try to blame me for it. But cowardice and a desire to blame everybody but yourself for your own massive failures are your defining characteristics.

I feel a bit bad about slapping somebody who hasn’t yet learned how to parry, but what the hell, you seem eager for the abuse. You might want to read what S&P itself said. It wasn’t too pleased with the GOP’s hostage-taking style, and it wasn’t too pleased with the GOP’s stark refusal to raise revenues.

But that’s all academic, anyway, as you’re too cowardly to deal with simple questions in the first place, and your ability to even comprehend more complicated questions is, at best, extremely suspect. If only you had a spine and a mind, tired. If only….

      • tiredoflibbs August 8, 2011 / 10:27 pm

oh, jeffy, your inability to comprehend the written word has once again bitten you in your ass.

From your source: “The outlook on the long-term rating is negative. We could lower the long-term rating to ‘AA’ within the next two years if we see that LESS REDUCTION IN SPENDING than agreed to, higher interest rates, or new fiscal pressures during the period result in a higher general government debt trajectory than we currently assume in our base case.”

“Our lowering of the rating was prompted by our view on the RISING PUBLIC DEBT burden and our perception of greater policymaking uncertainty, consistent with our criteria (see “Sovereign Government Rating Methodology and Assumptions,” June 30, 2011, especially Paragraphs 36-41). Nevertheless, we view the U.S. federal government’s other economic, external, and monetary credit attributes, which form the basis for the sovereign rating, as broadly unchanged.”

Wow! Thanks for confirming what I have been saying all along. My source (and yours) squashed your “S&P explicitly named the GOP’s behavior as the reason for the downgrade”.

No jeffy, it is out of control spending – specifically the spending policies of the obAMATEUR – $4 trillion in debt (3… oops now 4 raises of the debt ceiling since he has been pResident – I listed this before and you conveniently ignored it.).

You can ask the same question till you are blue in the face. It is not related in any way, shape or form to my original assertion. obAMATEUR’s policies are responsible for the credit downgrade.

You still have a desperate need to deflect from that topic and have failed several times to do so. Then your pathetic answering of my original challenge, in which you failed TWICE and PROVED my original point (since you are incapable of reading comprehension).

Especially, this point by S&P (again from your source):

“Standard & Poor’s TAKES NO POSITION on the mix of spending and revenue measures that Congress and the Administration might conclude is appropriate for putting the U.S.’s finances on a sustainable footing.”

Want to go for three failures on your part?

Perhaps you should take remedial reading first…. before you make an ass of yourself again.

      • Bodie August 11, 2011 / 1:54 pm

“specifically the spending policies of the obAMATEUR”

        Which policies?

This is the question you’re too chickenshit to answer. But you can’t change what you are: A cowardly pile of failure.

        PS: From S&P comes this:
<blockquote? The political brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America’s governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed.

So S&P did not like the GOP’s hostage-taking strategy.

        And this:

It appears that for now, new revenues have dropped down on the menu of policy options.

So S&P doesn’t like that Republicans are adamantly opposed to any new revenue.

Keep on failing tired. It’s not as though you have any other choice.

I wonder if Kerry thinks of the tea party like he did his fellow soldiers – reminiscent of Genghis Khan (pronounced with a soft g, of course)

    • neocon1 August 6, 2011 / 11:07 am

to bad they werent, we wouldnt have ole lyrch sKerry to kick around any more.

  6. Bodie August 6, 2011 / 12:25 pm

So you think the media should balance truth with lies, Mark? What a shock.

    • neocon1 August 6, 2011 / 3:32 pm

leftist BS is not the truth.
monetary responsibility is the truth drone.

    • FU August 7, 2011 / 6:35 pm

“So you think the media should balance truth with lies, Mark? What a shock.”

MSNBC already does a sufficient job of balancing the news with lies, half truths, omissions and White House mindless talking points.
