Will The REAL ‘post racial’ Barack Obama, Please Stand Up?

As the Daily Caller reports, a video of a 2007 speech from Barack Obama has surfaced.  An astonishing video, to be sure.

Gone is Obama’s measured midwestern, pedantic dialect.  Gone is Obama’s ‘post racial’ tone.  Gone is Obama’s supposed distance from Pastor Jeremiah Wright (you remember “G-d DAMN AMERICA!” Reverend Wright-you know, the guy that Obama sat in front of for over 20 years, that he supposedly never listened to).   In fact, in the video, Obama embraces Jeremiah Wright, naming him as his mentor and counselor.

Class warfare rhetoric is rampant in this video, as is his allusion to the principles inherent in liberation theology.

It is said that the true character of a person can be seen by how that individual acts when he or she feels that they’re not being watched.

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Barack Obama,

unplugged and unhinged.

It is said that the true character of a person can be seen by how that individual acts when he or she feels that they’re not being watched.

It was a public speech, not some behind closed doors $50,000 head. It was covered on TV back in 2007.

    Talk about a desperate beat-up.

    • dvindice October 3, 2012 / 7:12 am

oh, the video of Romney that was covertly recorded then carefully edited? (oops… not edited, somehow the video seemed to stop for a few mins then picked up again.)

Patriotdad1 by your early rising you beat me to this. Here is the evidence that the GOP is fully desperate and fears that their monochromic base will only turn out if they are move simply by the low expectations of bigotry.

    • Canadian Observer October 3, 2012 / 6:18 am

I thought the Republicans wanted to hammer the President on the economy; you know, concentrate on the issues. This pathetic attempt to discredit and demonize him just goes to show how desperate they’ve become as they see their chances of a November victory diminish with each passing day.

      • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 2:42 pm

Really? You think there is only one issue that shows what a miserable failure Obama is as the leader of our nation? Really?

The problem is choosing which failure to spotlight, and how much attention to pay to it when there are so many others vying for attention.

You may not agree, but a lot of Americans find it objectionable to have a race-baiter in the White House. A lot of Americans dislike the tactic of Divide and Conquer, and resent the efforts of this administration to shatter the nation into disparate groups and then turn them against each other, whether that effort to instill distrust and dislike and even violence is based on race, religion or income.

But I’m sure the American RRL are very pleased with your effort to shift attention away from Obama’s racist and divisive tactics. Good boy.

  3. tiredoflibbs October 3, 2012 / 6:07 am

No drones, this video is just another example of PANDERING. Democrats feel that they need to talk like African-Americans. We have seen it in Hillary with her fake southern black dialect and in Al Gore as he acted as if he was a graduate of the divinity from which he dropped out.

It is not desperation. It is revealing the racial and social pandering Democrats do to make them seem like they are for the people when they really are not. It is just more fakery and condescension. This video also reinforces obAMATEUR’s true Marxist nature of division and class warfare. When he spoke to other groups, he always pandered to them, whether racially or culturally. Why can’t he speak of his true self? Why? It will not be agreeable to everyone, which is the impression that he wants to give.

The campaign and the DNC are already desperately scrambling to limit the impact of this revealing video.

Democrats are infamous for their racial politics. It finally raised up and bit them on their rear ends.

all the O flying monkeys have flapped in screeching like heck about their racist master being “attacked” by using his OWN words…..YET

some fund raiser in a private residence COVERTLY taped then cut and edited, play ground STORIES, and a 40 yo dog on car BS story are ok?

talk about FEAR and PANIC, the HACKS hate that the POS is finally being really (somewhat) vetted…

      • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 12:49 pm

neo, have you heard anything about the Justice Department investigating the crime committed when a private commentary was recorded, without the knowledge or permission of the speaker, which is after all illegal in Florida?

Or an investigation into whether or not the FBI should be involved, as this illegally obtained video and audio were then distributed across state lines?

Surely Obama’s Justice Department is more interested in upholding the law and punishing criminals than it is in just ignoring crimes that might benefit Obama.

      • mitchethekid October 3, 2012 / 4:25 pm

Lets assume you are correct and there was a crime committed. He still said what he did and that’s the real issue. You’re angry because it was made available to the public and are now trying to put the genie back in the bottle. The genie’s out, “we” got to him (or her) first and “our” wishes are being granted.

Epic fail by Carlson, Drudge and Hannity. How humiliating. “Look out below! Falling bombshell”.

Don’t bother watching the debate tonight. Just start posting about how Romney wiped the floor with the president. It’s a foregone conclusion that that’s what you believe anyway, so why waste time waiting for the debate to actually begin.

      • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 7:31 pm

Oh, mitche, I’m not angry. I leave the rage and huffing and puffing and hate and so on to you guys, because that’s all you’ve got.

I merely point out that in this case, as in so many others, a critical fact has been swept under the rug—that a crime was committed. It’s ignored by the media, it’s ignored by the “Justice” Department, because their agenda demands focus not on an actual crime but on an alleged slur captured by the criminal.

It’s just an extension of the Leftist Thought Police, where you ignore what is going on in favor of what you can claim someone was THINKING while doing what he was doing.

The lies you people have been frantically churning to try to make Romney’s statement hateful and dismissive and malignant do not constitute crimes, just typical Leftist deflections from real issues to your need to shift attention to your standby, the Politics of Personal Destruction.

      • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 7:32 pm

And given the incontrovertible proof that a crime WAS committed, what is your excuse for looking the other way?

      • mitchethekid October 3, 2012 / 7:59 pm

Really my dear? Incontrovertible evidence? Prove it. Post a link to the statue. Rationalize why the authorities in Fl have not launched an investigation. Why has Romney himself been so silent on the “legality” of his speech being taped? Oh, I know. For him to complain that it wasn’t legal would detract from his feeble attempts to disassociate himself from his own statements. All of this is moot. You defend the indefensible and get angry and defensive when you are called out. You are a blind, unthinking zealot incapable of any semblance of objectivity or critical thinking. You’re like a pre-programed cyborg. A rhinoceros whose eyesight is so unfocused that they can only detect motion and act accordingly in an aggressive and hostile manner in order to protect their territory. Flailing away with their weight and their horns. Oblivious to the danger to them centimeters away.
The extreme right is in a dance with a death of their own making, regardless of who “wins” tonight. The bucket of water has already been thrown on the witch and she’s melting. You are looking close, observing for any signs of resurrection. The rest of us have backed away. For our own safety.

      • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 8:10 pm

Rather than just a link I will post a description of the statuTe as well, as linking to a statue is kind of messy sometimes. Perhaps you are thinking of your inflatable friend as a “statue”. It does sound classier, doesn’t it?

“Florida’s wiretapping law is a “two-party consent” law. Florida makes it a crime to intercept or record a “wire, oral, or electronic communication” in Florida, unless all parties to the communication consent. See Fla. Stat. ch. 934.03. Florida law makes an exception for in-person communications when the parties do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the conversation, such as when they are engaged in conversation in a public place where they might reasonably be overheard. If you are operating in Florida, you may record these kinds of in-person conversations without breaking the law. However, you should always get the consent of all parties before recording any telephone conversation and any in-person that common sense tells you is private.”

So all you guys can do is claim that a discussion in a private venue is really speaking in public if there are several people there. But if the recorder didn't inform those there that he was recording, this is a pretty good indication he was being sneaky, and that "common sense" told him this was private.

Fascinating cobbling of various metaphors, there, though a little overwrought. Zealots and cyborgs and rhinos, oh my!

a few years back some perv was video taping in a public unisex rest room. He had a concealed recorder in a gym bag and when a female would enter a stall he would occupy the one next to her and record.

They could not arrest him for filming because there was no law against filming some one in “public”, they how ever did arrest him because the video also had **sound** and THAT was a FELONY…….

Linda R. Tripp, whose secret telephone tapes of Monica S. Lewinsky titillated and dismayed the nation and ultimately led to President Clinton’s impeachment, was indicted yesterday in Maryland on criminal charges of illegal wiretapping.

“They’re gonna put y’all back in chains” – Joe Biden

“In no ways am I tired. I have am come too far” – Hillary Clinton

Liberals have a true disdain for blacks and a lot of the astute black people are starting to get it. Take the voter ID laws for example, which are very broad and allow for student, library, military, drivers licenses, and many other state issued ID’ that contain and photo, expiration date and are free! Yet, liberals have no problem saying out loud that their base of voters, and other Americans are either too lazy, too stupid, or too irresponsible to take the time and acquire such an ID. This bizarre admission by many liberals somehow makes them feel protective of that “underclass”, not realizing that the Democratic agenda relies on an underclass for power. Or maybe they do realize that.

Unfortunately, the democratic party has zeroed in on people of color as that underclass they will prey on, and Obama spoke to that very issue when he said earlier that a dependent class can become a voting majority. It’s a disgusting admission.

you must be stupid to think that would work

    • Amazona October 3, 2012 / 12:21 pm

Cluster, the pathology of the far Left is more disturbing than I had realized, and it is becoming more and more obvious. We knew they viewed us through the prism of their own bias, and so figured we are like them and motivated by hate instead of reason—that has been even more obvious in the past decade, as their irrational loathings as the foundation for what should have been purely political decisions became glaringly obvious during the BDS years.

But this race thing has kind of taken me, at least, by surprise. I don’t think much about race, I don’t care about race, so it took a little longer than it should have to penetrate that all the Left DOES think about is race.

And what I find so distasteful about the RRL is its hypocrisy—all the time they are projecting their own race obsessions upon the Right, they are simultaneously practicing really nasty racism in everything they do and say. I have heard it called “soft racism” based upon diminished expectations of people of color, but a black man, and it might have been Thomas Sowell, said it is not “soft”, it is not benign, but it is vicious and malignant and toxic.

If a white man says out loud “I don’t like n*****s” then yes, that is racist, and it is vile. But to the Left, if he takes a paternal attitude toward black people, figuratively pats them on the head while taking the attitude that, really, not much can be expected of them because they are, you know, black so of course they will need to be sheltered, supported, protected, and given special considerations, THIS is not only not considered racist, it is considered noble. They find nothing at all negative in the assumption that black people, by nature of their skin color and culture and heritage, simply cannot be expected to do the most basic things expected of people with less melanin in their skin—things like read, learn, accomplish, speak clearly, have a work ethic, know how to function in American society and do things like get drivers licenses and register to vote.

They accept these lowered standards and lowered expectations as what you have to do when you are dealing with dark skinned people, and they not only do not find this condescension demeaning and racist, they pride themselves on it and view it as a credential of being a wonderful human being. They despise and insult people who say “Black people are just as smart as anyone else and just as capable of taking care of themselves and should be held to the same standards of accomplishment and achievement”. They call THESE people racist, while they rush to explain to us that they really need special treatment because they just can’t DO what other people do.

  7. Amazona October 3, 2012 / 11:48 am

I was listening to a radio interview this week between a white man and a black man, and some very good points were made.

The white guy said yes, if a clerk is rude to him his response is “what a jerk” and the black guy chimed in and said “yes, but a black person would say the clerk was only rude because he, the customer, is black”. They talked about that for a while, about how the twisted focus on race has created a victimhood mentality that taints every social transaction. If the bus pulls away before a white woman catches it, she was just a little too late. It this happens to a black woman, well, the driver pulled away because she was black. It’s a self-perpetuating fallacy but a very toxic one that is poisoning our culture on every level.

Another aspect is the message to black people that nothing is ever their fault. And they talked about this. If a white man doesn’t get hired, he wonders what he needs to do to improve his job skills, or how to interview better. But the black man chimed in and said if a black man does not get hired, he just shrugs his shoulders and says it was just because of his race—and then does nothing to become a better candidate for hiring.

It was a good, solid, mutually respectful discussion, and touched upon a lot more than just what we think of as the cost of racism. The black man was quite concerned that this newly encouraged victimhood and racial persecution complex is going to do more to harm his race than any overt racism imposed upon them by people of other colors, and he made a very good point.

When a child gets detention and his parents absolve him of any responsibility but just teach him that this only happened because of his skin color, they are setting him up for a life of failure, and of anger and resentment.

We see this on a national scale with Obama—-he is not held accountable for his actions because race-baiters rush in to explain that people are not really concerned about the economy, or the state of foreign relations, or terrorism, but just hate him as a person, and hate him for his skin color. This shifting of responsibility for his actions onto those who object to his actions is not only profoundly unfair, it is very damaging to all concerned. It sends so many terrible messages, yet it is the prevailing meme of the American Left.

freakzo, have you stopped tittering long enough to change your drawers and answer a question?

What about the comment do you find so hysterically funny? “Priceless”?

Do you not understand that there is now a federal law telling us what kind of toilet we must have? Those of us who have toilets, that is.

Those of us with indoor plumbing, and more modern fixtures, have had to deal with Uncle Sam’s intrusion into our bathrooms. Evidently this has passed you by, leading to your fit of giggles.

As your comment is not a quote from the video, nor a reference, it must come from somewhere in your own psyche, where evidently the very mention of a toilet generates some pretty vivid mental pictures followed by braying laughter, but really, this is TMI and you don’t need to share.

But if you have recovered, you might check it out. In the meantime, I am stocking up on 100W incandescent light bulbs, because the government is telling us what kind of light bulbs we need to use, too, and after the first of the year 100 W bulbs can no longer be sold in the US.

I do hope that the term “light bulb” is not another trigger, sending you into uncontrollable fits of, well, fits. You might look into some mental health help with these issues.

Or get a dictionary and learn what “priceless” means.

    On the turning away
    From the pale and downtrodden
    And the words they say
    Which we wont understand
    Don’t accept that whats happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or you’ll find that you’re joining in
    The turning away

    Its a sin that somehow
    Light is changing to shadow
    And casting its shroud
    Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that were all alone
In the dream of the proud

On the wings of the night
    As the daytime is stirring
    Where the speechless unite
    In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night

    No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
    No more turning away
    From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
Its not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there’ll be
    No more turning away

When I said you can tell a lot about a person when no one is looking, I meant that Obama knew he was in friendly territory, and there were no conservatives or unfriendly media in the house.

So obAMATEUR plays the race card. Claims that “they didn’t waive the Stafford Act” because of racism towards blacks in New Orleans.

So, when the appropriations bill came to the Senate floor for a vote, HR2206, which will appropriate monies to Katrina victims and veterans AND WAIVE THE MATCHING FUNDS REQUIREMENTS, obAMATEUR voted AGAINST IT.

Does that make him racist? Yes on both counts – one for opposing the appropriations bill and being the lying bigoted racist, pandering with stereotyped speech.

I see the forkers are extremely angry bordering on INSANE for obAMATEUR being caught Ina a candid moment of truth to show his real feelings and condescension to his audience.
