Cornel West is miffed with Obama, it would seem – from the New York Times:

…So let me ask you: in 2007, you introduced Barack Obama as your “brother, companion and comrade.” But in May, you referred to him as “the black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs” and the “head of the American killing machine.” What in the world happened?

It was a cry from the heart. What happened was that greed at the top has squeezed so much of the juices of the body politic. Poor people and working people have not been a fundamental focus of the Obama administration. That for me is not just a disappointment but a kind of betrayal.

But you have also acknowledged that this is more than just political — you’ve said that after campaigning for him at 65 events, you were miffed that he didn’t return your phone calls or say thank you.

I think he had to keep me at a distance. There’s no doubt that he didn’t want to be identified with a black leftist. But we’re talking about one phone call, man. That’s all. One private phone call…

Barry, come on, give the guy a call – 65 campaign events and you can’t even pick up the phone?

Here is the leftist revolutionary…whining that the President doesn’t call him.  Sorry, but this gets more pathetic the more I think about it.  Where is the fire and the spirit?

I’ll tell you where it is – it was bought by billionaire leftists who have taken over the Democrat party.  And the really astounding thing is that these liberal billionaires used people like West to do it.  Just throw ’em a grant; get their books published, have an award ceremony for them…and people like West go from the barricades to the courtier.  And are now upset that His Majesty, Barry I can’t spare the time…

David French explains what is nauseating about the allegations:

…I don’t use the word cowardice lightly.  Here we have former aides who say they’re “terrified” by her condition.  They even deliberately chose to say that she’s “incapacitated” for days at a time and made vague accusations about pill use.  Yet they can’t even muster up the courage to identify themselves?  If the stakes really are so high, surely their patriotism would compel them to come forward so that we can ask some questions, weigh their credibility, and discern whether they had enough access to the candidate to know what she’s endured.  By remaining anonymous we can’t cross-examine them (so to speak) and discover the truth.

Then there’s the evidence.  Or lack thereof.  Anonymous aides expressed terror at her condition, yet if you read the entire article you’ll find that she allegedly missed a grand total of one planned campaign event . . . in 2010.  A second lurid tale concerns a migraine so bad that she merely “managed to attend several events in California, including an appearance before a California chapter of the Eagle Forum and a fundraiser in Palm Springs.”  Oh, but she was “in pain throughout.”  Nice to know…

Anonymous sources do have their proper place – but, in my view, only when corroborated by other hard evidence.  In other words, if you discovered a prescription for migraine medication made out to Bachmann and then went and asked her aides and one of them, not for attribution, confirmed that she suffers from migraines, then you’d have story.  What we’ve got here, however, is just one anonymous denunciation – that isn’t a story; that is a slander.

But the MSM doesn’t really care – Obama and Co are worried sick about Bachmann and so they are giving her the Palin treatment.  Doesn’t matter what it is, just throw it at her…bury her in muck hoping that enough of it will stick, even if false, to incapacitate her as a candidate.  “Smear” will be the mildest description of what Obama’s goons will do to each and every Republican who in any way, shape or form poses a threat to Obama’s re-election effort.

There is nothing we can do to stop them – but we can start going all West on the liberals.  French is a bit sorry for having used the word “coward” – he shouldn’t be.  It was a deceitful, underhanded and cowardly attack…the work of the most disgusting sort of blackguard.  The man who launched it deserves to be whipped.  Hit them back and hit them back hard – ask them again and again and again just why they are so disgusting.  Make their slanders an issue:  that is the way to fight back.

And, meanwhile, just keep up the conservative/libertarian drumbeat.  Let the Democrats alternate between making attacks and answering our charges of skullduggery.  We’ll concentrate on telling the American people what we want to do.  The path to victory is paved with two stones – a stoned labelled “vision” and another labelled “fight”.  Press the vision, keep up the fight…and then we’ll win.

Allen West Unloads on Wasserman Schultz

Politico has the email West sent after Wasserman Schultz (liberal Congresscritter and head of the DNC) lied about West’s position on the budget.  According to Politico, Wasserman-Schultz had this to say:

“The gentleman from Florida. who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries, unbelievable from a Member from South Florida,” Wasserman Schultz said, saying the legislation “slashes Medicaid and critical investments essential to winning the future in favor of protecting tax breaks for Big Oil, millionaires, and companies who ship American jobs overseas.”

Which is the usual line of nonsense we get from our liberals – a pack of lies which bear no relation to the facts.  What is different is how Rep. West responded.   Here goes:

Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

It is regrettable that it has to be like this – but it is also way past time we stopped pretending that our liberal, Democrat opponents want an honest, open debate.  They want us out of the way – completely incapable of stopping them from doing whatever comes to mind.  Whether it is making corrupt deals with their crony capitalists or funding projects which benefit themselves and their donors, Democrats just don’t want to be bothered with pesky Republicans.  As they can’t out-argue us (one cannot actually defend the corrupt system), they prefer to intimidate us in to silence.  It is hard upon a person to endure insults – even when we are sure we’re right, most of us usually wonder what we did wrong to provoke the other person.  By means of slander, Democrats have very often got us to cave.  But a clearer mind leads to a better understanding – West knows he’s done nothing wrong; he’s just being slandered because as an effective opponent of liberal Democrats, he has to go.

And so West’s intemperate but entirely reasonable response – it is the best way to let Wasserman Schultz, and the rest of the liberals, know that he, West, won’t be intimidated.  They can continue to lie all they want, but it won’t alter West’s point of view nor his determination to see liberalism on the ash heap of history.

All the talk of “new tone” is just Democrat code for “we can be as despicable as we want; you GOPers just have to sit there and take it”.  West isn’t having any of it – and neither am I.  This isn’t a matter of hatred or revenge, it is a matter of not letting them win by being nasty.  Fire right back at them – they lie, call them liars; they act vile, tell them they are being vile.  No shame in it and, indeed, by speaking the truth, we’ll be clearing the air.

Race Card, Bottom of the Deck: Democrats as Usual

We’re all just raaaaacists for arguing with Obama:

 

For 80 years we’ve watched liberalism slowly bankrupt our nation; now it is crunch time and we must cut spending to save ourselves.  This is just something that happens, and happened while our President happens to be black.  Wouldn’t matter if it was President Hillary up there (though I guess we’d be seeeeexist at that point).

This is a sad, desperate attempt to fire up the liberal base for 2012…poll after poll shows sagging support among the left for the President.  It isn’t that these people will vote GOP in 2012, but they might well decide to stay home…not only costing Obama the White House, but causing down-ballot Democrats to lose, as well.  Pulling out the race card is a sure-fire method of getting liberal foot soldiers back in to the battle…because, remember, your typical white liberal is wracked by guilt.  Figuring that “white privilege” is the source of their wealth and well-being, they are easily swayed by accusations of racism.  This may well help perk them up and get them donating and volunteering again, lest those evil, racist, sexist, homophobic Republicans win.

We can expect a lot more of this as 2012 comes in – and in rising hysteria if Obama’s poll numbers continue to crater.

The Billion Dollar Man is making his way – and selling himself completely.  From Politico:

About 40 percent of President Barack Obama’s record-breaking $86 million second-quarter fundraising haul came from big-money bundlers, according to a POLITICO analysis of donors listed on Obama’s campaign web site.

No fewer than 27 mega-bundlers managed to collect at least $500,000 for a joint account run by Obama’s 2012 campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

That exclusive circle included marquee fundraisers like Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Hollywood titan Jeffrey Katzenberg, DNC treasurer/personal finance guru Andrew Tobias and former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, who was CEO of Goldman Sachs before entering politics.

That group chipped in a minimum of $13.5 million, according to records. In addition, $21.4 million was bundled in amounts of between $50,000 and $499,000…

Thank goodness Obama is fighting for the poor and middle class; if that weren’t the case, all this millionaire and billionaire money would be worrisome.  And we know he’s going after the millionaires and billionaires because he says so – whenever he talks taxes, he’s sure to mention that millionaires and billionaires must pay their fair share.  So, it is amazing that the millionaires and billionaires keep coming through for him…I mean, after all, Obama is promising to tax them more.  In fact, his proposals for taxation always call for hitting those millionaires and billionaires who make more than $250,000.00 per year….

Hey, wait a minute…how many years would you have to work to become a millionaire at $250,000.00 a year?  Four years…if you didn’t spend a dime on anything.  And how many to become a billionaire?  Four thousand years…  You know, now that I think about it, it seems kind of strange that Obama would say a millionaire makes $250,000.00 a year…and downright stupid to think that a billionaire makes that much.  Could it be…?  No!  It couldn’t be that!  It couldn’t be that all Obama is doing is talking about taxing the rich while really taxing the middle class and that is why the millionaires and billionaires are pouring money in to his campaign.  That couldn’t be the case, could it?

Obama: The People Want Tax Increases

President Obama on Friday kept up the pressure on Republicans to agree to revenue increases in a deal to raise the debt ceiling, claiming 80 percent of the public supports Democrats’ demand for tax increases.

“The American people are sold,” Obama said. “The problem is members of Congress are dug in ideologically.”…

Ok, Mr. President, then have Harry Reid pass a debt deal through the Senate which includes tax increases…get those 53 Democrat Senators on record as doing the will of the people.  After all, if the people are “sold” on it, then the Democrat majority in the Senate should be happy to oblige the people…there can’t be the slightest worry that a Democrat up for re-election in 2012 will vote against because, as you say, the people are “sold” on it.

Time to put up or shut up, Mr. President…don’t ask us GOPers to be the tax collectors for Big Government.  Do it yourself – if you can.

We are aware of the troll who tried to hijack a long-time commenters name – the comments have been deleted and we are going to institute a permanent fix.  Until that is done, we urge caution on the part of all – if someone is going off on a tangent never seen before, it may well be a completely dishonest cretin trying to hijack a name in order to sow confusion.  This is just in keeping with the normal, fascist nature of the left…not interested in debate, they are seeking, instead, to shut it down, lest someone learn the truth.

We thank you for your patience until we’ve got this fixed – and meanwhile, just be cautious and don’t feed the trolls.

Obamunism! Killing the Aircraft Industry

Much has been made of President Barack Obama’s repeated demonizing of corporate jets and the people who fly on them in his June 29th press conference.

While pundits and politicians haggle over whether alterations in the depreciation schedule of corporate jets will actually have an impact on the deficit, those in the general aviation trenches are furious.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPO) President Craig Fuller told The Daily Caller that Obama’s comments have cast a pall over the industry, causing many who were considering buying a plane to back away from making a purchase…

Here’s the thing – those corporate jets are built by blue collar workers, a large number of whom are union members.  But, you see, Obama didn’t care about that. He doesn’t care that the airplane was invented in the United States.  He doesn’t care that while the United States is still the predominant aerial nation, there is increasingly stiff competition out there.  He doesn’t care that small and mid-sized aircraft businesses are dependent upon steady orders which could be harmed if prospective buyers are scared off by heated, Presidential rhetoric.  He didn’t care about any of that – all he cared about was a talking point.  A sound bite.  A phrase which was undoubtedly poll-tested relentlessly before he ever uttered it – something he thought would give him leverage to get the debt ceiling raised in 2011 and himself re-elected in 2012.  That was all – screw everyone:  Obama needs more spending to payoff backers and need to get re-elected next year.  Aircraft company worker with a wife and two kids to support?  Well, **** you.

This is the kind of man Obama is.  This is the way our liberals are.  This is the Ruling Class at work – doing what it needs to do in order to retain personal power and wealth.  You want this to continue?   Then just go and vote for Obama next year – or, if you’re a GOPer, go and get all purist and say you won’t vote for Candidate X because he or she isn’t true-blue enough.  As for me, I want him out – I want them out.

Sources tell PJ Media that Vogue-favorite Asma al-Assad is headed back to Syria for a week of homage or possible fence-mending (we don’t know) with husband/slaughterer Bashar and the extended Assad family. Normally Asma resides in London with her children (she’s not taking them with her) in a large estate still owned by the Assad family.

One wonders – why does the British government allow the wife of the dictator of Syria to reside in Britain while someone like Michael Savage is barred?  I realize that Savage is a bit hard to take…to me, he’s a bit of a whiner (and really has it in for Rush and O’Reilly) and talks about himself too much…but its not like he’s massacring people, as Mrs Assad’s husband is.  The Brit excuse is that Savage promotes hate, which is absurd…but even if it were true, how hateful can it be?  Not like anyone has been killed by it.

Such is the way of the world – if you are harmless, our liberals will go right after you.  If you have power and show yourself willing to use it to murder, liberals will lick your boots.  Its why they find fault with Israel, but not with the Palestinians; why they condemn American actions, but not Iranian; why they always find excuses for evil, while routinely condemning those who are trying to do the right thing.

Democrats Playing the Race Card, Again

Democrats must be in trouble if The Daily Beast is running a headline White Supremacist Stampede, with this opening line:

“Add to the growing list of candidates considering a bid for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012 America’s most famous white-power advocate: David Duke.”

Ah yes, the David Duke card gets played.

Duke is an anti-Semitic kook who is far more likely in recent years to be hobnobbing with anti-Israel European leftists and Islamists than with anyone associated with the Republican Party or the Tea Party movement.

Yet The Daily Beast trots out a possible (inevitable?) Duke run for President to try to back up a false meme, that there is a “stampede” of Neo-Nazi candidates running in elections as Republicans…

Hadn’t heard much of David Duke lately – last I heard of him he was at some Holocaust-denial conference in Iran, or some such.  But as Democrat desperation grows about 2012, I guess they are really going to leave no stone unturned – wouldn’t surprise me if some liberal Democrats were trying to egg Duke on…get him to declare for the GOP nomination and then put him in the MSM over and over and over again (naturally with some TEA Party emblems in the background).  The fact that Duke is no Republican and has been entirely and absolutely rejected by the GOP makes no matter – we GOPers are racist in the liberal/MSM view, Duke is a racist and thus must be a Republican…and if he can be used to scare up minority voters for Obama, so much the better.

In 2012, this will not work – I think that far too many people are on to the Democrat scam on racial matters.   The Democrats have shouted “racist” far too many times for it to be an effective scare tactic and, anyways, having people like Presidential candidate Cain, Representative West, Representative Scott, Senator Rubio, Governor Jindal, Governor Haley, Justice Thomas, Governor Martinez, former Representative Watts, Representative Ros-Lehtinen, activist Connerly, former Secretary of State Rice, economist Sowell, Florida attorney Bush (yes, the son of the former governor…his mother is Mexican and that makes him Latino; we’re becoming racially integrated in our families) and a host of others gives lie to any concept that we are racist.  People are tired of this nasty sort of politics and will reject it.

In 2012, the fight is not over the past, but about the future.  Democrats can raise the specter of racism and hope it brings a few more voters to the polls for Obama and his Democrats…but the overwhelming majority won’t be voting on that.  We’ll be voting on what kind of America we want – and there is no place for Obama, the Democrats or their foul, disgusting race card in that America.
