President Trump sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi about her Impeachment effort. Its a bit of a scorcher.

The climate change talks in Madrid are rated a failure and they’re blaming Trump for it. So, more winning!

The Far Side has returned.

FISA court condemns FBI abuses. My view: abolish FISA. A Republic cannot have secret police of any type. We really aren’t allowed to have secrets, folks: a Republic where the people are sovereign must do all its business in the Forum, not the Divan. This does have the weakness of our enemies always knowing what we’re doing, but it has the strength of our enemies always knowing what we’re doing.

Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge – a battle which displayed astonishing American courage in battle, and the sort of command failure we’ve become used to…likely because the Bulge was the second time Ike was caught with his pants down (the first being at Kasserine) and his reward for failure was being made General of the Army and President of the United States. Another thing a Republic must be is merciless to it’s servants who fail. Allowing failure to go unpunished merely ensures you’ll get more failure. Every military commander, especially, must always have the sense of the guillotine behind him – because failure in that area means people, citizens of the Republic, are going to die needlessly.

The Left has their Sanctuary Cities for illegal immigrants – you know, where they ignore the plain law and allow people who aren’t supposed to be here to remain – but they don’t like the Sanctuary Cities for guns which are being created. Well, too bad: especially as the 2nd Amendment is American law while coddling illegals, isn’t.

Are You F***ing Kidding Me IG Report Open Thread

Now that we’ve all had some time to digest the IG report as well as today’s Senate hearings on it…so, when to we start hanging people?

I know, I know; that is extreme. But, my goodness, it is so patently obvious that the senior reaches as FBI and Justice were out to get Trump that the continued denials by the Democrats are getting infuriating. Horowitz tried to thread the needle by essentially saying he couldn’t prove bias in the genesis of the effort…but the massive violations of law which were required to get it going can only be explained by political bias. By people who thought Hillary would win and so it would never come out. What happened after Trump’s victory all merely amounted to an attempt to find anything to hang on Trump or, failing that, cover up what they had done.

Meanwhile, Barr:

“From a civil liberties standpoint, the greatest danger to our free system is that the incumbent government use the apparatus of the state … both to spy on political opponents but also to use them in a way that could affect the outcome of an election,” Barr said. He added that this was the first time in history that “counterintelligence techniques” were used against a presidential campaign.

I hope he nails their a** to the wall.

Ted Cruz had his moment and once again made us all love him:

This exchange. Staggering.

Cruz: “A lawyer at the FBI creates fraudulent evidence, alters an email that is in turn used as the basis for a sworn statement to the court that the court relies on. Am I stating that accurately?”

Horowitz: “That’s correct. That’s what occurred”

Ace links to Techno Frog’s rundown of all the Establishment hacks who swore by the FISA warrants and tried to sell the whole thing to the American people. The more you read, the more outraged you get. These are the supposedly smart and informed guys and they were absolutely assuring everyone that the dossier and FISA were on the level. They went out of their way to insult people who dared question the veracity of the FISA warrants. And outside of one or two, all of them are still keeping up the garbage now that its been exposed. Our Ruling Class just sucks.

What are they like, these Ruling Class morons? How are they in the day to day, really? Ace looks at their High School Mean Girls routine and silly flirt-arguments they have in between saying Orange Man Bad, and nails it:

If it’s important, you say something.

If it’s not important, you practice the most ancient of all manly arts, the Manly Art of Shutting the F*** Up Once in a While and Giving Your C***slappers a Rest.

I’m glad to know that there’s a cure for this affliction of normal masculine reserve, now, and that Jonah Goldberg is proof of that.

Apparently, being on Social Media all day long is a cure for normal, regular heterosexual masculinity. It’s a feminizing and juvenilizing force which turns toxic men into pliable weakling children and fat little girls trying to advance in the social hierarchy.

Very much to the point, but Ace, as usual, is too kind to these dimwits.

So far, Boris Johnson seems set for a pretty impressive victory tomorrow, but we’ll see. According to this, only 6% of Britain’s Jews are planning to vote Labour…in spite of their overwhelming approval of Remain in the EU. This is cognitive dissonance writ large: the Jews of Europe are under renewed threat because of the EU. It is the EU which is currying favor with people who hate Jews…getting out of the EU is the best things Jews can do for themselves. And yet most European Jews still want the EU…it is just weird.

Barack and Michelle Obama threaten promise to stay involved in politics forever. Come on, man: what have we ever done to you guys?

Newt on Hillary:

If Hillary runs she becomes the william jennings bryan of our time. He lost three times 1896, 1900, 1908.Hillary has it in her to lose a third time. The bitterness from other candidates would be intense-the Clinton-Epstein stories would be overwhelming. Hillary please make our day.

So, the IG report came out – and after spending hundreds of pages revealing how many things were done wrong, it concluded with an essentially, “hey, sorry; my bad” statement. This is drivel – no one is that incompetent; what was done to engineer the spying on Trump was obviously criminal…and downright un-American. I hope that Barr and his crew will go after these people. Some statements made after the release of the report indicate he might. We’ll have to wait and see. As for me, I’m more convinced than ever that the FBI has to go. It simply can’t be trusted.

Rumor has it that the House will settle on two articles of impeachment: Obstructing Congress and Abuse of Power. Which is garbage. The Executive can’t obstruct Congress no more than Congress and obstruct the President. They are co-equal branches of government and neither has to bend the knee to the other. As for Abuse of Power…it sounds like something, but it isn’t. Note that colluding and bribery and so forth won’t make an appearance. Which means even after the Democrats rigged hearings to ensure something bad about Trump came out, they still came up with nothing.

Will they vote on them? Remains to be seen. Could be that they went with two very nebulous articles so that if a vote is held, the trial in the Senate is over quickly. Those two articles can be done in a day because there’s not much to say about them, on either side…and it is at least a chance that things like the Bidens won’t even be brought up in such a trial.

Its polls, but as our Experts still seem to live and die by them, this poll has to be giving them fits: it shows Trump surging in the battleground States. Make of it what you will – and even if we start to see lots of Trump-positive polls, don’t take them to heart. Work next year like we’re down by ten and only a miracle of effort will scrape Trump through.

Seems that Prince Andrew invited both Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein to his daughter’s 18th birthday party back in 2006. That grosses you out because of what you know, now…but what really nauseated me was the description of the party. A little girl’s 18th birthday – it cost 400,000 pounds. They were awash in champagne and food and had an orchestra. Who the heck are these people? Where did they come from? Why are we allowing them to keep living like that?

Never forget:

Impeach this, Democrats:

The jobs market turned in a stellar performance in November, with nonfarm payrolls surging by 266,000 and the unemployment rate falling to 3.5%, according to Labor Department numbers released Friday.

Those totals easily beat the Wall Street consensus. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for solid job growth of 187,000 and saw the unemployment rate holding steady from October’s 3.6%.

I’ve read stories that the Trump Administration has been turning the screws on those who hire illegal immigrants – in other words, taking away the incentive for the illegals to come across. But the follow-on of that would be that these companies have to hire someone…and if an American is all you got, I guess you gotta take him. And pay him an American wage; wage growth has also been red hot.

I had mentioned a little while back that President McKinley’s trade policy was “trade reciprocity”; boiled down, we’re only going to buy from countries which buy from us, unless a country really has something we absolutely can’t procure in the United States. Trump’s trade policies are in line with this concept; it is unfair for a country to get easy access to our markets when we have no real access or highly limited access to theirs. And for all the Tru-Cons out there, it seems to me that adhering to the tried and true practices of the Republican Party – rather than the so-called “free trade” nostrums of Progressives – is the more Conservative thing to do. The more we force people to play fair and the more we protect ourselves from foreign predators, the better we’re going to do. In my view, if we keep it up long enough, we won’t even have to worry about the supposed cheapness of foreign imports…American ingenuity will simply figure out ways to make it just as cheap at home, because there’s one thing that business wants to do: sell product. And if selling product requires making it faster and cheaper, they’ll eventually figure out how to do it.

The latest shooting in Florida was, without a doubt, and act of Islamist terrorism…so, everyone is doing what they can to pretend it wasn’t. Mark Steyn is trenchant as usual:

We know it’s a Saudi national gunning down Americans, but it’s “too early to know” if it’s terrorism. Could be just “mental health issues” or “workplace violence” or “pre-traumatic stress disorder” or “involuntary self-radicalization” or whatever. Nothing to worry about and always remember (to reprise another old line of mine) that “Allahu Akbar” is Arabic for “Nothing to see here”.

On “the day that everything changed” nothing changed – except the rate of Muslim immigration to the west, which doubled. A US immigration bureaucracy both cruel and stupid enough to ban a World War Two RAF pilot for life for staying with his wife until her death when she was stricken ill in the US and taken to a New Jersey hospital cannot stop itself admitting Saudi trainee pilots to kill Americans.

The only thing wrong with President Trump’s Muslim ban is that it was nothing of the kind. What we needed was strict controls on foreign nationals who hail from places where terrorists commonly come from. If you are coming to the USA from, say Saudi Arabia, then lets to a pretty intense background check on you and get you bonded and insured and so forth before you come in. Who in hell thought it would be a good idea to give Saudis flight training? Someone, somewhere…who probably got a pay raise and promotion for encouraging diversity…because we have a shortage of lunatic murderers in the United States. The real problem is money, as usual: the Saudis and other Muslim money bags have been flashing the cash at our Ruling Class for decades and really poured it on after 9/11…so many people are bought that we aren’t even allowed to have a real discussion of the issue…a discussion which would help the Muslim world as much as it would help us.

In a sign that Trump is changing the courts, the 9th Circuit – yes, that 9th circuit – just gave Trump a win on whether an immigrant can be a public charge (that means be on welfare, for you liberals out there).

How is impeachment going? Well, CNN which is mostly about impeachment (and complaining about how Fox is covering impeachment) has seen its ratings tank…very, very badly. The jig is really up for it, folks: I’m still not convinced they’ll actually hold a vote on articles of impeachment, but we’ll see. Main thing is, it is dead as a door nail. Only real question if they impeach is, does McConnell move to have it summarily dismissed, or does he drag out a trial through the early Democrat primaries?

Open Thread

An indicator of how it’s going: Swalwell wants to reserve judgement on impeachment. I’m sure in the end if articles are brought forward he’ll vote for them…but that he’s even semi-hedging shows the Democrats have not made their case. And likely won’t. I haven’t watched today’s legal professor hearing because why should I? Its just some people offering opinions…and their opinions are no more valid on this than any random person dragged in off the street. The flavor is shown by the fact that one of the lawyers testifying called for Trump’s impeachment before he took office. I did see on Twitter a little blurb from an MSMer that the Democrats are having a caucus meeting and Nancy is making sure that only lawmakers are in the room – no aids – and that no one has a phone with them. Something is up…don’t know what; but I wonder if its Trump-district Democrats in a panic about next year?

Robert Stacy McCain has an interesting article on how we must defend our own – when the Left gets out there to smear an effective member of our coalition, we have to stand up and be counted. But one thing in the article rather struck me – how a Conservative was destroyed in the early 80’s with the assistance of other mainstream Conservatives. Bet its been like that. We all know of how Buckley famously purged the Birchers from the movement…and, to be sure, a lot of Birch ideas were kook…the water fluoridation thing being most famed. But, on the other hand, does the Left ever purge their kooks? Remember, it was some years ago that the Left asserted that gender was a social construct. Can’t remember how far back I first heard that, but it wasn’t beyond 1995. That was insane kookery…but no one on the Left denounced it, and now the major Democrat candidates for President are adhering to that notion. And the core contention of the Birchers – that nearly everyone is in on the scam to take away the self-governing aspect of the American people – has proved true. My goodness, it is really brazen these days…they aren’t even hiding it any longer. Perhaps if we hadn’t been in the business of purging our own – you know, trying to make the Left like us by pointing out that we, too, hate the Right – we wouldn’t have got so far into this hole?

Boris Johnson seems set for a remarkable victory in the upcoming British elections. We’ll see: you know how polls can be…but it is astonishing that all polls, even the most Left friendly, show him crushing it. His margins are +6 to +15. So, let’s split it and say his Tories win it by 10. If so, he’d have a sizeable majority in Parliament and be able to get whatever Brexit deal he wants. My view: even a lot of people who voted Remain during the referendum are probably tired of this and want it resolved…Johnson promises to resolve it, both Labour and Liberal-Democrats are essentially promising to drag it out indefinitely. I think that if Johnson wins, he only wins a mandate to Exit…after that, the Brit people will look at how things are going and judge him on the other merits of his stewardship. Don’t think that a Johnson win means an era of Tory dominance is dawning.

Related: Hugh Grant is stumping for a Liberal-Democrat and calling out Labour’s anti-Semitism. Good for Hugh Grant – who is a pinko – but it won’t matter. Labour has made the calculation that there’s far more money and votes in anti-Semitism than there is in opposing anti-Semitism. The Democrats have made the same calculation.

What do we do post-Trump? Its an important question – even if he wins, he’s out after the 2024 election. What then? Angelo Codevilla starts writing the answer. My short answer: More Trump. Meaning, we can’t let Trump’s successor be GHWB to Reagan. Whomever we select in 2024, it must be someone we can rely on to right…and fight actually even harder than Trump has. I do detect the weakness in Trump: he appears to assume people are on the level. Not that he’s naive, but he takes people as they present themselves…and how many shivs has he got in his back from supposedly Conservative and GOP people? We need a merciless housecleaning of the old hacks and Deep State loyalists.

There is talk of Michelle Obama entering the Presidential race. This is a sign of extreme desperation. The power people in the Democrat party are clearly dismayed at the current crop, are watching impeachment backfire and seeing President Trump starting to rise high, buoyed by an increasingly booming economy.

I doubt she’ll get in. I could be wrong, but I never saw in her a desire to enter electoral politics. If she did get in, the MSM would treat her as the Second Coming, of course…but I think that most people just don’t give a darn what the MSM is saying these days. It would be positive coverage in a void and I believe that most would see it for what it would be: a ploy to avoid defeat in 2020.

The British Labour Party is going so anti-Semitic that the chief Rabbi of the UK penned an op-ed about it in the Times of London – and was seconded by the Archbishop of Canterbury. I understand that polling indicates that 80% of British Jews will opt for some other party in the upcoming elections. The op-ed, of course, called upon Britain’s Labour Party to address the problem and correct it. The op-ed will fail in its intent: the British Left – followed now closely by the American Left – has made the calculation that there is vastly more money and votes in Islam than there is in Judaism. Offending Jews – especially as long as the MSM keeps covering up for you – is a nearly cost-free exercise…and if by so doing you can get Muslim votes and (really more important) Muslim oil money, then its all good. It must always be kept in mind that for the Left, power is everything – the only thing that matters. There’s a meme which goes around that if it was found that Mexicans were voting Republican, Democrats would build the wall 50 feet high at the border. And this is an exactly correct analysis. It is all about power.

But here’s the real problem: for Labourites, they see it as a calculation…for the anti-Semites they’ve invited in, it really is about massacring the Jews and destroying Israel.

I saw some polls which indicated an astonishingly high level of support for President Trump among African-Americans. Its good that I don’t trust polls – but I did enjoy the shrieks from the Left and Never Trump…they stoutly asserted it couldn’t be possible and only an idiot would believe it. They then went on to tout polls showing this or that Democrat will beat Trump. They do love to have it both ways, don’t they? If it wasn’t for double standards, they’d have none at all. As for me: I don’t know. I do know some black people who despise Trump. I can’t say that I know a single black person who is an ardent supporter of Trump. OTOH, most black people who do back the guy would probably keep it low key simply to maintain peace among family and friends. One observation I made is what, really, are Democrats offering black voters? Do black voters care deeply for trans rights? Open borders which depress wages? Do black voters want good schools? Better job opportunities? There is an opportunity here – and even a relatively small movement of African-Americans to the GOP would be devastating to the Democrats. Someone on Team Trump thinks so…and they’re doing a big ad buy in black radio and print media across some battleground States.

The World Socialist Web – which is as far left extremist as you imagine – did an interview regarding the “1619 Project” with historian James McPherson…which means the far left commie readers of WSW will be better informed than New York Times readers. Do read it: it is very good. WSW is also better at interviewing than the MSM.

No, as it turns out, I don’t trust Vindman – of course, I have a general distrust for our military officers these days, to begin with. I somehow doubt that Obama’s DoD was promoting people based on military merit. I suspect your promotion was based upon how well you mouthed words about “diversity”, “overseas contingency operations” and “global warming is a national security threat”. Not that I trust all that much those promoted during the Bush Administration, either. It was under Bush that we started allowing JAG REMFs to charge our boys and girls with war crimes, after all. So, nope: don’t trust the guy. In addition to the mistrust, I think he’s the leaker and very likely a liar. At all events, it isn’t for a light colonel to set foreign policy under any circumstances. I’m hoping that in a 2nd Trump Administration we’ll get a thorough housecleaning in our military forces. Lets pretty much retire everyone Major General and above and seek out hard charging, combat-orientated colonels and majors for rapid advancement.

Still don’t quite know where the Democrats are going with this charade. There is nothing to this. Certainly not anything that even a compliant MSM can puff up into something the American people will consider impeachment-worthy. But if the Democrats do go forward, I hope that McConnell spins it out to the Convention and then allows a motion to dismiss to pass.

Warren’s Medicare for All plan would require rationing. You already knew this. She’ll deny it, of course; call it something else. But the bottom line is that there are not, will not and cannot be enough medical providers to ensure everyone who wants/needs care at a particular time will get it at the time requested. Rationing, by one means or another, is inherent in any market where there is a scarcity – wisdom dictates that, in most instances, we let price ration. It is understandable that in something as crucial as healthcare, people don’t want price to dictate…but if it isn’t going to be price, then it will be a faceless bureaucrat who is far more interested in pleasing other bureaucrats who will decide how much care, and when you get it.

The latest woke reboot – Charlie’s Angels – tanked at the box office and the director is blaming sexism for it. Nope. Sorry; that ain’t it. Everyone actually likes strong female characters. Celeste and Rossalyn in Mirrors are very much bad-asses. In Secrets I’m introducing two more major female characters; a wicked one and a good one. Both, bad-asses. But when it is time in the story for a bad guy’s face to be caved in, rely on it: it will be a male character administering the beat down. Because duh. People don’t want to see a movie where a 110 pound woman takes down a 200 pound man. It is just ridiculous. But even that isn’t the worst part: when you add to that absurdity a lecture on how bad men are, it just turns everyone off. Want to make money? Then have your book or movie have really good, fun male and female characters doing all sorts of really cool things…but keep the men, men and the women, women.

Burglar brings an axe to a shotgun fight.

The House tried to get Trump’s tax returns but the Chief Justice has swatted them down. It is silly. You can rely on it that if there wasn’t anything in there, some Deep Stater would have leaked them already. But, also, it is unfair to demand the President’s tax returns and let everyone else off the hook. Once Nancy agrees to have her full financial life exposed to public scrutiny, then I might agree to do the same for Trump.

Focus group claims people like Trump’s policies, don’t like his Tweets. I can see that – but, how else is Trump to intervene in the national debate? He can’t go via the MSM as they’ll just lie about what he said. Has to do something.

Heh:

“Christmas ornaments, drywall and Jeffrey Epstein – name three things that don’t hang themselves. That’s what the American people think…and they deserve some answers.”

It would be nice to find out what really happened. My view: Epstein did likely kill himself, but was helped along…if not in the physical sense, then in someone presenting the hemlock in the form of “you better kill yourself or Horrible Things will happen to you and anyone you care about”. Remember, even if it was just jail for Epstein, there’s jail and then there’s JAIL. What sort of prison, what sort of safety, who you’re lodged with…these are crucial things which can determine life or very painful torment and death for a flabby, middle-aged pedophile in prison. But I’m doubtful any investigation can get to the bottom of things: too many very powerful people are deeply compromised.

Bored With Impeachment Open Thread

I haven’t paid too much attention to the impeachment charade – because once it gets out that none of the witnesses witnessed anything, the whole point is kinda lost.

Not quite sure what end game the Democrats are hoping for out of this – if they do impeach, it goes to a Senate trial and everything comes out. I suspect that is the least desired outcome here. What I think they are trying to do is please their base and then with great fanfare they’ll hold some sort of censure vote after releasing a scathing report.

What is most infuriating to me in this is the way people supposedly on our side are treating it as if its real: as if there was something actually happening, rather than a mere partisan hit job. They do this by pretending the parade of credentialed morons are selfless public servants. They aren’t. They are corrupt hacks allowing themselves to be used in a political attack. They are un-American; downright treasonous. It is not their job to dispute with the President over policy – it is their job to carry out the policy and, if they don’t like it, quit. But the Never Trump and such people are the really disgusting players in here – their phony moralizing and pretending to be above it all disgusts me. What did they really want? They wanted there to be something – anything – that could be hung ’round Trump’s neck.

We have, on the plus side, picked up a new GOP hero in Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) who absolutely slaughtered the gross and dishonest Adam Schiff (D-Deep State’s A**). We need more like her.

The official word is that Trump is poison in the ‘burbs. Suburban women just hate the guy, so it goes. Never been too sure of that – my Mrs is the archetype suburban mom and while she’s not thrilled with the man, she doesn’t hate him, and she thinks the attacks on him long ago went past absurd. Anyways, the proof they say is in things like the defeat of the Kentucky governor, who lost because he was slaughtered in the ‘burbs. But as I pointed out at the time, all the other GOP State-wide candidates cleaned up in the same areas. So, perhaps it isn’t Trump that is toxic…and now we have a little more evidence that he’s not: Trump is doing pretty well in getting donations from suburban women. As I’ve always said: never look at what people say, look at what they do.

Vice President Pence states we’ll return to the Moon in 2024 – which I really want us to do while Trump is President so that the memorial plaque carries his name on it and we can just laugh and laugh and laugh at the liberal tears over that.

Had a wedding in the family yesterday – my goddaughter. She married a splendid young man. And it was a wedding – a religious ceremony followed by a large group of people eating and drinking and dancing together. The socio-economic level was mostly middle class, but some on the poor side, some on the rich. The ethnic grouping was a bit of everything. The religions were also widely varied from atheist to devout; Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, etc. In other words, it was a normal, American wedding – and I’m very sorry for those who are out there living lives of intersectionality and arguing over what pronouns to use. They are missing out on life, entirely. They are forcing themselves to be angry and depressed when they could just do the normal, human thing of getting married and starting families.

The Left has erected a creepy, Big Brother mural of that poor, sad, little girl Greta Thunberg. It will loom over the homeless people wallowing in human sh**. This kinda sums up the Left these days.

I guess the MSM was trying to find an attendee of the LSU/Bama game who was anti-Trump. This particular snipe hunt didn’t work out at all well for them.

Don Surber points out that Impeachment isn’t why Democrats will lose next year. Listen to Don. Don is smart.

The Ukraine scandal may be much larger than first reported – but, face it, you already knew that. All of us have been wondering for a while just how many politicians and connected people were profiting off Ukraine until Trump stopped it.

Democrats are convinced that Trump will lose because Bevin lost in Kentucky last night (presumptively: as of this moment, still no concession on the part of Bevin but with him behind 4,700 votes its unlikely he’ll prevail). The Democrats – and the Never Trump Tru-Con Experts – are sure of this because Bevin lost by being blown out in the ‘burbs…and that means Trump is toxic in the ‘burbs and – presto! – say hello to President Warren.

Not so fast: while Bevin was getting crushed in the ‘burbs, all the other GOP Statewide contenders were destroying their Democrat opponents. So, it looks as though it was merely Bevin who was unpopular. I hadn’t paid much attention to it all but what I’ve been able to find is that Bevin is, apparently, quite an abrasive personality and there wasn’t a single group he hadn’t offended at some time…his approval rating is something like 36%. So the real news is that Trump nearly dragged a political carcass across the finish line. And we got as our GOP consolation prize the new Attorney General of Kentucky, Daniel Cameron…who does appear to be quite an impressive man who should go far…that he’s the first GOP AG since 1948 and the first ever African-American AG for Kentucky is just icing on the cake.

OTOH: Virginia went pretty Blue last night – on the back of Democrat power in DC-dependent northern Virginia. I don’t know how we flip VA back to red…though Trump’s plan to move federal departments out of DC might help. My advice to VA people who don’t want their State to become East California is to set up South Virginia…break up the State. Let the Democrats have their DC suburbs.

Eric Ciaramella – recently outed by Don, Jr on Twitter – appears to be the whistleblower: and he’s what you expect…a partisan hack. This is why the Democrats and the MSM (BIRM) wanted to keep him anonymous. But it is absurd to keep him anonymous. We, the people, have an absolute right to know all relevant details about whomever is accusing any public official of corruption. It is the only way we’ll be able to tell if there is something real, or if its just a partisan hit job. As this whole impeachment thing is a partisan hit job, the quicker we get the truth out the quicker we can force the Democrats to drop the charade – which is what I expect they’ll do. I don’t know, of course, but I don’t believe the Democrats want to have a Senate trial where Cocaine Mitch will set the agenda.

ABC spiked the Epstein story in 2016 because prominent Democrats – including the Clintons in an election year – were involved. You know that’s why; I know that’s why: everyone knows that’s why. You weren’t at all surprised when the story broke about the cover up. Here are some things to think about:

1. It isn’t just Epstein. Rest assured there are lots and lots of other scandals the MSM is keeping a tight lid on because their revelation would put powerful Democrats at risk.

2. Those Conservatives who were only mildly critical – making comments about how this was just not a good look for ABC – are traitors. They are angling for MSM gigs and will knife us in the back if they think it’ll help secure one.

3. As the MSM is proven to be bald-faced, partisan liars…anyone who pays attention to their reporting, polls or analysis of politics is either monumentally stupid, or a liar, themselves.

From Carpe Donktum:

Remember when the entire media had a panic attack over Trumps comments on the Access Hollywood tape? While this was going on, those same people knew that Epstein was raping children… and then decided to cover it up.

As I’ve said: in relation to his opponents, Trump is the morally superior person.

Our Matt points out that Sondland’s changed testimony is not proof of an impeachable offense. I go a bit further: it proves Sondland’s a liar.
