So, I sit down to dinner on Wednesday night and just as a I start eating, I feel a pain in my stomach. Couldn’t be the food, I was literally on my first bite when I started to feel it. After a couple hours, the pain becomes agonizing, but not constant. It is a series of very painful spasms in my abdomen. Naturally, being a guy, I pretend it isn’t a problem. But, all night long I’m unable to sleep because the spasms keep coming. By morning, I’m exhausted. The spasms have lessened in intensity, but now I feel nausea and I’m chilled to the bone, even on a warm Nevada day. But as the pain is less, I still pretend its nothing. I took a couple Tylenol before bed on Thursday night and I slept pretty well, but still woke up tired. Hardly any pain left but still just generally weak. At last, I start thinking that something might be up and perhaps it is related to that nasty red spot on my arm which is now itching like the Dickens. A quick look at photos and various bug bite descriptions and I narrow it down to either a black widow or hobo spider. As it turns out, I should have seen a doctor right away. I’ll keep an eye on it – but the swelling in the bite area does seem to be going down.

AOC (D-Marxist Study Group in the Village or some such)did the Hillary thing (“I ain’t in no ways tard”) while speaking to a largely African-American audience. There are many obvious marks of the Left, and one of the most prominent is complete contempt for their own supporters.

Some polls (FWIW) show that the public is starting to believe there was Collusion…but between Hillary and Russia. As there was (or, at least, Collusion between Team Clinton and foreign intelligence services), this is good news.

Looks like Mueller might have just made stuff up in his attempt to get Trump. This surprises none of us.

Rep. Eric “Nuke ‘Em” Swalwell (D-People’s Republic of North Mexico) is going to run for President. Shortly, it’ll be easier to list the Democrats who aren’t running.

The 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, is an excellent film. It is, of course, almost complete nonsense as far as depicting what Bonnie and Clyde were like; the film treats them as cool, misguided kids in love and trying to have fun. They actually were, of course, psychotic killers who murdered people for no reason whatsoever. Now, to be sure, Clyde had his issues – he appears to have been horribly brutalized as a youth in prison. On the other hand, he landed in prison as a youth because he decided to become a crook at a young age. There’s no real explanation for why Bonnie decided to become a killer, other than general insanity. Netflix has a new production called The Highwaymen covering the pair from the other side: how law enforcement dealt with two people who killed in cold blood nine police officers. There has been controversy about it I never understood: some people taking issue with the likely chance that the cops, in the end, just ambushed the pair and blew them to heck and gone without a warning. My view: when you’re dealing with psychotic killers who have already demonstrated they’ll even kill cops without blinking, you don’t give them a chance to return fire.

New York is now going to tax the street if you go for a drive. Wasn’t there once a song about this?

The concept of time is now racist.

Multiculturalism is good, as long as it isn’t an American culture. Some are trying to change that.

Rep. Omar is being investigated for misuse of campaign funds. I’m thinking this isn’t GOPers digging up dirt, but Democrats who want to at least curb her, and maybe get rid of her. Its not that any Democrat actually disagrees with her, but they don’t want people like her to be the face of the House Democrats in 2020, when a lot of purple-district Democrats will be up for re-election.

Report that Team Biden thinks Team Sanders is responsible for the sudden concern people have about Biden being grabby with the ladies. Could be, but it could also be Harris. It is definitely some Democrat(s) who want to put a veto on Biden’s effort.

Bernie can still rake in the bucks, in the manner of all Socialist Leaders of the People: $18 million in his first report.

Maddow has lived on Trump-Russia for two years. Not doing so well, now:

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow lost half-a-million viewers in just one week after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report indicated that he did not find enough evidence to support collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Maddow has been one of the most prominent voices on the collusion conspiracy, spending most of her programs over the past two years on allegations that President Donald Trump coordinated with the Russian government to win the 2016 presidential election…

We’ll see how it plays out – but I think a lot of people who aren’t committed Democrats were going along with this MSM Narrative simply because, until just now, their faith in the MSM remained mostly unshaken. But I wonder if this is the start of a complete break-down…where people in large numbers simply stop believing the MSM? This plus things like the Smollett case might make for a vastly different electorate in 2020 as opposed to 2016. Back then, almost everyone had their doubts about Trump…but come 2020, those doubts might be long gone, and that means Trump will get voted on based on how people think things are going.

Excellent article about the history of America’s various two-party systems – but I think that while correct in saying we’re in a re-alignment phase, it doesn’t acknowledge just what one side wants: a complete revocation of everything that came before. Call it what you will – “the left” is just a bit of shorthand – the people compromising the real movers of the Democrat party despise the United States and the civilization it sprang from. They want it all gone and a completely new thing fashioned in its place. This is why I say that our current fight is for all the marbles. This isn’t FDR routing the remains of the Gilded Age GOP…this is a conflict between antithetical forces and one or the other will be eliminated.

The New York Times is upset that Poland is ok with admitting Christian immigrants but not so keen on non-Christians. My view: better that your immigrants have at least some familiarity with your national culture. Also my view: Christians are the most oppressed people in the world and should be first in line for all refugee claims in the West. Also my view: we should increase immigration from sub-Saharan Africa because that will inject some very devout Christians into the United States and will just really annoy the heck out of liberals.

A former Senate aide charged with doxxing Republican senators and extorting a witness reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors in Washington after his wealthy and well-connected family brought in experts to talk about his mental health and the private supervision they could provide him.

A judge signaled that Jackson Cosko had allegedly taken large quantities of sensitive information from the Senate, but banned media from hearing the details. A hearing had been scheduled for Thursday, but on Tuesday, the court canceled it and indicated that a deal had been struck behind the scenes. A plea agreement hearing, where the deal is to be officially signed, was set for April 5.

During Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s September 2018 confirmation hearing, Cosko — a former IT aide who once managed Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan’s office computer accounts — allegedly posted to Wikipedia the home addresses of Republican senators who supported the Supreme Court justice.

Don’t try this at home, folks: you aren’t part of a wealthy and well-connected family and if you tried this, you’d be looking at many years in jail. It is only the Ruling Class which can get away with this – especially the liberal Democrat part of it (Republicans can’t skate quite as brazenly). And do realize this is Trump’s Justice Department which is allowing this vile person to get off with less than a wrist-slap. Which means that plenty of people at Justice don’t give a damn about Trump – they’re going to protect their buddies in the Ruling Class, come what may.

People will put up with a lot – as the Founders noted, people are disposed to suffer ills as long as they can. But what people find unendurable is a clear manifestation of injustice. If the regular folks feel that everyone is in the same boat, then a lot of things are allowed to slide. But if they start to perceive that some are in an entirely different boat and the rules don’t apply to them, then we get into a situation where the problem has to be rapidly corrected, or people will simply go outside the law to obtain justice…and that path leads to revolution.

I don’t think these idiots – and they are, truly, idiots – realize where this leads. Mommny and Daddy – clearly stupid people who don’t know anything about raising kids – are trying to protect their precious Jackson from the consequences of his evil deeds. But when regular folks see more and more cases where the connected get off, then what will happen to Mommy and Daddy’s precious, little child is that he’ll be strung up from a lamp post…right next to Mommy and Daddy. If they had the sense that God gave little, white mice they’d have let their kid go to jail for a while, because he deserved it. But that isn’t how corrupt and stupid Ruling Classes operate.

I hope Trump gets on this – and if I were him, I’d insist that no plea deal be entered without his sign off. Clearly, the Deep State is going on as if Trump means nothing: that he’ll be gone one day and it’ll all be back to normal. But Trump has a chance to nip this and establish justice and thus ensure domestic tranquility. If the opportunity is missed, then eventually people are going to get killed over things like this.

Hey, Liberals, can we talk for a sec? There’s something you ought to know: Trump is the morally superior guy here.

Now, don’t get me wrong: he’s not exactly a candidate for sainthood – he’s done some things in his life as he shouldn’t. But your fundamental problem, all along, as been assuming he’s as garbage as the people you look up to. All those Hollywood types, career politicians, permanent activists…nearly all of them are pure filth. I know you just assumed that Trump was like that, but you should never assume. And, as it turns out, at least in legal matters, he’s clean as a whistle.

Now that’s out of the way…

This was as if we got to watch Hillary lose. Twice. In one day. When the Avenatti news broke, I was at my desk at work and had a very hard time suppressing gales of laughter. This guy, remember, was part of the smearing of Trump and the smearing of Kavanaugh. He was being talked up last year, by a lot of people, as a 2020 candidate. He preened himself as some sort of Tribune of Decency…well, creepy porn lawyer is now creepy extortionist. Is there a better symbol of our corrupt Ruling Class than this clown? A man so morally decrepit that the porn star he used to represent won’t have anything to do with him any longer. And let’s all face some facts – all of us would have Stormy over for dinner long before we’d let Avenatti cross our threshold. We have standards, you know?

President Trump and Team are taking some victory laps – and it is glorious to behold. Think about it: for two years not just Trump, but everyone associated with him has essentially been accused of being traitors. Now, they are vindicated – and they aren’t letting bygones be bygones. One of the best things was a letter from Trump’s re-election campaign to TV producers pointing out that they shouldn’t have back on the clowns who all accused the President of treason.

Meanwhile, some people are starting to look into whether or not Hillary colluded with a foreign government. This is as good a place as any to start. This was a coup attempt, make no mistake about it. Various elements of government and media decided to annul the free and fair election of 2016. Lots of people should wind up in jail over this. But, we’ll see where that goes. I hope it happens – Trump can do no better service to our nation than taking these people down.

Mueller Time Open Thread

The long-awaited report dropped today – which I think rather odd as this could have been wound up six months ago, or six months from now. I suspect the timing has to do with our new Attorney General, who seems to bear no feelings of loyalty to Mueller. Be that as it may, no one outside of high, official circles knows what is in it…but in keeping with Team Mueller, leaks abound. Apparently, there are no more indictments coming down. And, so, we’ve finished with Mueller and no one (other than an alleged Russian bot-farm) has been indicted for things relating to the 2016 campaign. We’re done here – not that liberals will take it that way.

Looking around Twitter, I had a ball – liberals in tears or trying to buck themselves up with ever more bizarre theories about how all of this will still work out to Trump being arrested any day, now. As I noted – and so did a lot of other people, including our Matt – this is just like Election Night, 2016, all over again.

The Democrats will keep this going, because their base is going to insist – but the longer they go, the more I suspect it’ll backfire on them. Unless absolute, rock solid proof of Trump illegality comes up, the people outside Democrat fever swamps will grow increasingly impatient and sympathetic to Trump.

The Moral Necessity of Voting for Trump (and the GOP)

There is a lot of talk about morality and norms of late – mostly in relation to Trump and how he is destroying both. We’ve all seen it: the endless stream of opinions deploring how Trump is corrupting America and destroying what we are. The corollary to this is that we must do whatever we can to get rid of Trump…even to electing Democrats. The bottom line in all this: nothing can possibly be worse than Trump.

Yeah, right.

Recently, Democrats have made serious proposals to pack the courts, abolish the electoral college and abolish the Senate (or reapportion it based on population). They assert the 2nd Amendment does not secure an individual right to bear arms and that the 1st Amendment does not protect “hate speech”. They believe that illegal aliens should vote, that no ID be required to vote and that unknown and unaccountable activists be allowed to “ballot harvest” on election day. The sum total of these proposals is an insistence that in no way, shape or form should anyone non-left be able to secure power in the United States and that once the left obtains power there should be no restrictions on the use of that power.

All of this stems from the leftist belief that they are absolutely right and those who oppose them are not merely wrong, but immoral in their views. I, as a Conservative, don’t want people to be judged by the content of their character because I believe it is right to do so: I want that because I’m an evil person who wishes to perpetuate injustice to benefit myself. The left, if given enough power for a long enough time, will implement, in one form or another, every one of these proposals (and more, besides) because they believe that the very survival of the human race and the planet depends upon it – and they will brook no opposition from anyone.

Do you want that? Do you want yourself to eventually be declared mentally incompetent because you will not assert that a woman can have a penis? And then have your right to bear arms and fly on airplanes denied because, as a crazy female-penis-denier, you’ve been placed on a government list prohibiting such people from doing those things? Do you want your religion forced to teach things that deny the things your religion asserts are true? Do you want your wealth confiscated in the name of fighting climate change and you forced to move into a densely populated city where you’ll have no car, no proper sanitation and whether or not you can be employed will be determined by a social credit system run by leftists? Do you want your government chosen in a flurry of urban ballot-box stuffing? Do you think I’m kidding when I say this is where the left wants to take us? And do you think for a moment they won’t go there if they have the means to do so?

We can all wish for a different set of circumstances. I could wish I was six feet tall, good looking and rich. But, the fact of the matter is that I’m five feet, seven inches, kinda dumpy looking and I think I could scrounge money for a meal at Jack in the Box if you’re hungry. Because of these circumstances, in my life I’ve had to get ahead on sheer hard work and an ability to be charming. You work with what you’ve got, in other words. And in politics, right now, what we’ve got is President Trump and the GOP – and, God help us all, that is what stands between us and a leftist disaster.

As an aside, do not doubt the left’s sincerity. They really believe they are right. They aren’t doing this for fun. I’ve been watching them a lot of late and they are seriously convinced of stuff you and I find absurd. And there is no way to talk them out of it: they are armored from ear to ear and simply won’t listen to contrary ideas or facts (the rare liberal who does wake up tends to prove the rule). They are going to do what they want because they think that they are helping – that by forcing you to say things you believe are untrue; by forcing you to surrender your property; by forcing you to live like an urban hipster, they are making you a better person and building a better world. And if you really get out of line, their punishment of you is also just for your own good…to prevent you from poisoning the minds of other people. Take them seriously and take them at their word.

So, what can we do? Well, as I noted above, I’d like different circumstances – I’d like the perfect GOP President and Congress and party organization which would do everything exactly right at all times. But, we aren’t going to get that. We’re going to have to go with what we have: Trump and the current GOP. Somehow or another, we have to award them absolute political victory in 2020 and beyond (I’d say we dare not let Democrats obtain Executive power for at least 20 years; hopefully that long out of power will force the Democrats to change). It is either vote for Trump and the GOP, or allow Democrats who are committed to enforcing a series of lies and imposing a series of oppressions to sustain the lies. It really is a time for choosing: which do you want? A flawed GOP plus Trump who’s heart is clearly in the right place, or Democrats who are pledged beforehand to destroy everything which you hold dear?

To me, there isn’t any question: if I want to live in a society where truth may be spoken; where property can be owned; where people can live as they wish; where laws are enforced, then I’ve got no choice but to back Trump and the GOP. And keep backing them until such time as we’ve either entirely rebuilt the barriers against tyranny in this country, or Democrats change back into a party where truth is allowed. It is a moral requirement, in my view, that I vote for Trump and the GOP in 2020. To do otherwise is to betray not just my moral code, but the very concept of morality. It may seem weird that a billionaire playboy works out to be the Tribune of truth and decency, but that is actually the way the world works: often it is the most unlikely person imaginable who turns out to have been granted the talisman of truth. Don’t ask me why it wound up being Trump (and Mitch McConnell) – I don’t know. Don’t really care, either. They are what they are – and they’ve all I’ve got; so, I’m going to do the right thing in 2020.

Supreme Court rules that illegal aliens can be arrested by ICE after they finish their State sentences. This is a win – but it shows you how far back the left pushed us until Trump came along.

Senator Warren (D-High Cheek Bones) did a town hall in which she proposed $100 trillion in new government spending. Not sure this will be the path to victory. It would be the path to bankruptcy, though. (HT: RSM)

Aside: I am wondering how the Democrats’ “white people: you suck” platform will play with blue collar white voters in 2020.

CNN wins an award named after Cronkite for their Parkland townhall…which makes sense as we’re giving them an award for hackery named after one of the premier hacks in American journalistic history. A lot of people keep saying that Trump is attacking our norms by calling the MSM the “enemy of the people”: the truth of the matter is that Trump is asserting the norm. The only function the MSM has is to provide the truth as best they can determine it. They don’t do that – they lie, they hide the truth, they play politics…and by so doing, they negate the reason for having a free press and, so, become an enemy of the people. They can fix this real easy: just report the truth. That’s all they have to do.

They won’t do it.

Newtown, MA public schools have been teaching the kiddies that Christians and Jews modified their religious books in order to contradict Muslim claims. I can only guess that this is a belief held by some Muslims…but in a time when you can’t even say an Our Father in public schools, why in heck are the kids being taught such things? You know why: the left has made the calculation that Islam is the future…this is part of that.

Some science guys think they’ve figured out, via DNA, who Jack the Ripper was. Seems to make sense – but, it won’t stop people from thinking differently (HT: Ace)

A Tale of Two Atrocities

Atrocity One:

At least 32 people were killed in a Muslim Fulani herder attack on a Christian area of north-central Nigeria on Tuesday (Feb. 26), sources told a Morning Star News correspondent.

The early morning assault on villages in and around Maro, in Kajuru County of Kaduna state, came after a Feb. 10 herdsmen attack on Angwan Barde, in the same county, that killed 10 Catholic Christians along with an unborn child.

Atrocity Two:

The death toll for the deadly terror attack that targeted two mosques in the city of Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday rose to 50, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said in a press conference Sunday morning.

Another 50 people were injured, 36 of whom remain in hospital, he said. Of those, 11 are in critical condition, including one four-year-old child.

Now, which atrocity are we supposed to get worked up over? That’s right, you guessed it: the one which fits the Liberal Narrative. Heck, I bet 99% of the people of the United States never even heard of the first atrocity. I did a quick search of CNN and found nothing on it. ABC had nothing on it, either. I didn’t bother looking at other major MSM sites – if they had it, at all, it was probably only a small mention. It certainly didn’t get the national hand-wringing we’re getting about the New Zealand attack.

To be sure, as Christians we must care about both attacks and pray for all involved. But why am I supposed to get worked up at the rare event of Muslims being attacked by non-Muslims when my brothers and sisters in Christ are attacked all the time for their faith? What happened in Nigeria last month is a fairly routine event. If you’ve got a good reason for this double standard, I’m all ears…but if you don’t, then I’m disinclined to believe you actually care about either attack.

And I think that is what bothers me most about this – the callous disregard for human life; not just by the murderous bastards carrying out the attacks, but by the global left which reveals its cynicism by it’s selective outrage. They don’t really care – they just think they can use the one, and not the other, to advance their political agenda. It is no surprise they don’t care – people in favor of aborting children are not likely to be filled with reservoirs of genuine human kindness. If you don’t care about an infant being killed, then you aren’t going to be sorrowful when older people are massacred.
